I ABSOLUTELY LOVE NO CONTROL, LOUIS FIRST SOLO SONG WHERE YOU CAN ACTUALLY HEAR HIM. THEIR TALENT DOESNT STOP SURPRISING ME IM IN LOVE WITH THIS ALBULM AND ALL ITS LITTLE THINGS

The One Direction boys sound has changed drastically from their first album and form both their last album Midnight Memories and this it is obvious that they are determined to prove the neighsayers wrong. Every band member boasts writing credits on this album and the sound is much more mature. Stand-out tracks include the 80's Michael Jackson sounding 'Stolkholm Syndrome', the Fleedwood Mac -esque 'Fireproof' and the excellent 'Where Do Broken Heart's Go" a rousing rock anthem so 80's in feel that it should be pounding out from a boom box held by John Cusack. The Ed Sheeran penned '18' is a wonderful ballad filled with gorgeous harmonies and the track 'Ready To Run' is folky and very Mumford and Sons. Sadly due to Malik's departure it seems this album will not be promoted any more and that makes me sad as I feel this was the album that could have finally changed the publics perception of a band that are actually very talented and extremely hard-working. It certainly changed mine. I'm 31 years old and was given this album by a 15 year old girl I look after. I only listened to it to keep her sweet, but feel in love with it.

I love this album so much ! My favourites are Fireproof, No control, Where do broken hearts go and Girl Almighty. The whole album is great and it's becuase they wrote most of it this which is great, I can't wait for album 5!

I love this album because there's a mix of great songs, and I just love one direction😂

😂😂😂 Seriously, 12 year olds. No control is as kinky as ever, they talk about a lot of kinky stuff in this album. "Shadows come with the pain that your running from, love was something you never heard enough." Okay really is that what 12 year olds are going to understand.

There other albums, Up All Night & Take Me Home can be for anyone, but I think FOUR is based for older people, or mature people to be honest. But then again youngers don't really listen to lyrics they just like the beat to the song and dance around to so it can be good for young people too.

I guess one direction are for anyone.

I was not disappointed in this album, have been a One Direction fan for like 4ish years and still love them to bits, and there songs.(:

They have grown so much and changed their sound to show they can develop and not just sing the same bubblegum pop like most artists. So well done to One Direction!

I am a big fan on One Direction but I did expect more from this album. At first listen I didn't really like it at all but after listening to it a couple of times I love it now. But I have given it 4 stars just for the fact that about 4 of the songs on there I really dislike and that last album, Midnight Memories, tops this album. But this album tops their first two albums by a mile. Their music has grown up with them and their voices have gotten so much stronger! Overall I do love the album and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys pop music.

Ha ha ha just as I thought it's shocking. when will you so called music lovers wake up.

Every time a new One Direction album is released, we're promised a more 'mature' sound, because they've 'grown', and it gets a little tiresome.

However, Four is a very distinct break from their previous works, and although I'm disappointed by the lack of the rumoured collaborations that were floating around the Twittersphere (save for Ed Sheeran) the sound is very much that of a band that is finally finding their own sound. A big congrats to Louis Tomlinson.

I'm begging you. No more of this turgid manufactured cheese. There are bands and musicians out there who actually have talent. This music is abysmal. Listen to fingernails being dragged across a chalkboard; better lyrics and infinitely easier on the ears.
