Another innovative step forward for Enter Shikari

Enter Shikari are perhaps one of the most interesting bands in rock to emerge in the past ten years. The Mindsweep is another amazing milestone for this band, and redefines the high standards set by AFFOC, which was already an amazing album. Shikari are unmatchable at moving from frantic moments to subsequent calm areas, which is amazing to listen to. This album features several killer tracks, from the Beautiful 'The Last Garrison', 'Torn Apart' and 'The One True Colour', to the Killer attack anthem 'Anaesthetist'and the flowing 'Myopia', This album goes from strength to strength, and the rest of the tracks are amazing, the album easily deserves 5 stars.

Absolute trash.

Worst album they've done! I hate the direction they're going in. I'm out. Never buying a Shikari album again. Last Garrison and Slipshod are decent but that's it.
Waste of money!

Give me more

Fantastic album, I can relate to the lyrics and there are few bands that portray their feelings better than Enter Shikari, it speaks of many issues and emotions. From start to finish it gives you a sense that there are things in this world that need to be addressed and Shikari know how to tell you a story of life

My Mind Has Been Swept

Was extremely pumped for the release of this album along with every single ES fan. Listening to the kerrang stream the day before release left me with a empty feeling if I'm being honest. However listening to this album on repeat just gets you hooked! Granted there are not as many drops that A flash flood of colour, common dreads and take to the skies really nailed, but the technicality and power within the songs on this album is simply incredible! Chris and Rory all give a solid voice on every are involved in and Rou is just how he always is, lyrically sound and vocally mesmerising. Myopia and Torn Apart are what seems to be everyone's favourite, however personally There's a price on your head and The one true colour just give me goosebumps every time I listen to them! This album is well worth the money you pay for, however if there are any shikari fans that are expecting guitar filled drops and hard punk like TTTS, you may be disappointed, but me personally, I simply Love It...

Oh My God!

I'm not enerally a fan of Enter Shikari, in fact I only like 2 songs (Sorry you're not a winner and Jonny Sniper) However, from the opening spoken words of this album I was hooked. I heard Anesthetist and thought "it's ok" but then I heard "The Appeal and the Mindsweep 1" and I realised this isn't just a new album. This is a strong politcal voice that everyone of us can relate too! Musically, it's pretty darn awsome with shouting/screaming that reminds me of Architects, but its the lyrics that truly stand out. Definitely an amazing album!

Could be nothing else than 5 stars

This album is a all time peek every song is just incredible and anything other than 5 stars would be undeservedly although slipshod isn't a favourite :)

Pure genius…

When I first started listening to ES back during TTTS days, I was a bit sceptical about them. But then FFOC came along and it gripped me, purely musically speaking. But listening to the same songs over and over and over and suddenly I started grasping the lyrical genius that Rou produced into each and every song. I was swooped off my feet the first time I _properly_ listened to FFOC and was well excited for TMS. And then the first couple of songs hit iTunes. The Last Garrison, Never Let Go Of The Microscope and Slidshod were among the first ones and again I was sceptical because ES seemed to take on a new musical direction. However, once I listened to each song for each’s sake, I started to realize that this really was a political nuclear payload compared to FFOC: The combination of much more aggressive musical elements and Rou’s (again) perfect lyrical input for each song make this a one-of-a-kind album. I LOVE The Appeal & The Mindsweep I (first song) simply for the encouragement and feel of solidarity that ES manage to give in what is essentially a speech put into a song. I cannot recommend this album enough to anyone who loves FFOC and still looks for something heavier than that. I bow to you lads, job perfectly well done.

Incredible

Never before have i been so excited for an album to be released. Never before have I been so thrilled when it finally did arrive. The album is brilliant from back to front, no weak songs whatsover. Particular highlights for me would be 'Never Let Go of The Microscope' and 'Anaesthatist'. The former proving itself to be one of ES best ever songs in my opinion. Truly brilliant.

I prefer the previous album "A Flash Flood of Colour" though but this is still great

Sorry, you’re not a winner...

Speaking as someone who thinks Enter Shikari have been the most interesting and innovative British band of the last few years, by miles, this sounds like a group hitting a technical peak but having a creative lull at the same time. The melodies don’t soar as high, the drops are fewer and weaker, and the comedy-edged, nuanced socio-economic message has given way to over-simplistic GCSE-level political ranting. They’re still untouchable in the grand scheme of things, and when this album hits its stride it’s spine-tingling (Myopia and Torn Apart are Enter Shikari close to their best), but it’s a definite musical decline from the perfect highs of Common Dreads and A Flash Flood. Sorry, The Mindsweep, you’re not a winner. \o/

So good! But not quite the same as A Flash Flood Of Colour..

After hearing the singles released during late 2013 and all of 2014 I was sure that Enter Shikari were going to deliver kill it with this album.
After hearing the album I can't complain, as it is defiantly good, but doesn't have the same power or fluency that the singles have, even though I feel like very single song has the potential to be great if they truly wanted them to be?
Enter Shikari have always been good at staying true to their fans, and this album continues to do them justice, however it didn't quite blow me away, as all their other albums in the past have done!

Shikari have done it yet again!

This is an incredible piece of work by Enter Shikari. Their best album to date in my opinion with its variety of styles and the powerful messages that are brought up. Amazing production by Dan Weller!

What a band

Brilliant. Such a varied style. From brutality to extreme tenderness - sometimes in the same song. And with a message of serious social sustainability. Never let go of that microscope.

Not bad.

It's not a bad album, but it never strides to be genius like the first 2 albums. It's far better than A Flash Flood Of Colour, but as someone else has said, the on-the-nose political lyrics are tiring now.

True genius! True art! Truly inspiring!

Never have I heard a band who can get their message across in such literal, powerful and artistic ways! Enter Shikari are 100% committed to shaping this world into what it should be, and love to show a complete disregard for music's worthless boundaries while they do it. True genius! True art! Truly inspiring!
If you value society's 'rules' of music and songwriting, my advice is that you steer well f#cking clear of this one!!

The Mindsweep; best ES album yet

Dynamic, rhythmic and pulsating. Great blend of heavy riffs and electronic trance. Quite beautiful in places too. Cracking effort from a truly original band.

I am a mindseeper...

The opening track is huge, a massive speech by Rou into a hugh synth drop, can't wait for the rest of it to become available, it's huge, it would be, its Shikari
