i have bought the second album first and just bouhgt the first today. it's great music with a great voice stories that depict life of all of us down there.

Having heard an interview with Brandy Clark and hearing her play live in the studio I delved a little deeper and found this little musical gem. Absolutely great album. So good, I bought her 2nd album at the same time and that's also great. Best music I've purchased in a long time. She's now on my list of live acts to try and see.

In the last few months and with thanks to Marie Crichton a BBC radio presenter in the UK I have become aware of a particular blend of contemporary country music by female singer songwriters. Ashley Monroe, Kacey Musgraves and now Brandy Clark. These young ladies are crafting fine music which is really really listenable and enjoyable.

12 stories does exactly what it says on the tin - 12 stories in 12 lovely country songs. You could argue how contemporary they are, or whether they are classics. I feel that one of the songs has a very strong leaning towards the harmonies of the Judds.
