The driver took my food to his home. The servicer can’t help. And my 30 pounds gone away. My food disappeared. Bye bye Deliveroo! Will never use again

I received the wrong order and reported the problem, and within 5 minutes I got my refund. This is really amazing. Keep it up Deliveroo
1) app does not update in real time
2) drivers sometime say they cannot contact you to cancel the order and get to the next one
3) often missing items...
4) the only answer to all these problems is “I can order a fresh order and it will arrive in 45 minutes”...
I did accidentally request my food to be delivered to a wrong address I apologised and asked to change the address. The team tried to help
But the rider was not able to be contacted. The new address was 5 minutes in the same area away and they refused to deliver. Based on the time span they could have delivered
Not delivering on time, postponing every 5/10mins for a basic order!
Absolutely appalling customer service. Just spend your money in the restaurant. They don’t refund, they act like a takeaway but charge you more than to eat in the actual restaurant. I spoke to one of the establishments and it turns out Deliveroo take almost half the spend for themselves so the restaurants have much reduced profit margins on these orders. Hence why you’ll see a lot of places offer discount if you order direct with them. Do yourself and your favourite eateries a favour and go straight through them. This is a bad app for both the restaurants, their standards, reputation and your wallet.
My order was rejected and I got message that my card wasn’t charge so I tried to order from other restaurant and I got message not enough funds, I checked my account and I saw that my card was charged, I asked customer service to sort it out or to give me credit so I can order they said they can’t do anything and I will get my money back between 24-72 hours.
I got the money back 12 hours later but until then I couldn’t order anything from no where as I used my credit for the order that was rejected and charged my card.

For however long deliveroo has been out I keep voting for my area and it always tells me “we are expanding soon” just annoying seems like they are never going to expand out further

Almost 5 stars - but I found myself scrolling for ages looking for dishes I knew the name of, with no way to type the dish name in to filter.

The service is a rip off ; I ordered some pizzas and the system showed a 2 hours wait . I went to cancel to make alternative arrangements only to be told that it was not possible . I called customer service who kept me waiting for half an hour only to be told that she would process the refund . No money received both withstanding numerous chases and pizza cancelled showed up late into the night .... stay away
Delivery times not reliable
The worst food delivery apps I ever used.
When you find your order placed with a wrong address, e.g., your work address but you are at home, you can’t modify the delivery address and can’t even contact the deliverer until he arrives that place. What happened to me was that I told the deliverer my correct address, which is not far away, just 5-10min riding, and he refused to deliver.
The customer service is useless. There is no way to call and you have to wait on the inapp chat. Finally the customer service called me to inform me that they can’t deliver it but I was still charged!
This is a really stupid app. It shocked me that there’s no functionality to modify the address of the order, and the customer service can’t be accessed in time. All the thing I could do was just to wait the deliverer gets the wrong place.
Will never use this any more!
Trust me, don't use it. Their riders cannot even speak English.

The drivers doesn’t arrive on time and restaurants are sending cold food, due to lack of drivers.

Do not order as your food wouldn’t be up
Ordered late night as it was the only option available to get food. In the delivery notes I requested the driver to call instead of using the bell. I usually look on the app where the driver is so when near I can go to the door not to waste their time. I seen on the map the driver went up and down the street and the app kept going between driver 1 min away to 2 min away when suddenly it just told me that my order has been delivered on time! (Hurray!)
There was no food to be seen. It took 30 mins to connect to an advisor who looked into this and advised that the order can not be redelivered. What a surprise after midnight... anyway then I got offered a a credit to my deliveroo account without any consideration to wasting my time, going hungry that night and just having a bad experience.
I have refused this and demanded a refund to my credit card. I wanted to be able to decide who I give my money to in the future and not having to go back to the company that had let me down. (not the first time, but this time was which pushed me over the edge...)
It was time for me to delete the app never to use it again even though some of my favourite restaurants only deliver through deliveroo. I hope the customer service will change or the company will see itself going down the hill.
There is competition and if you don’t look after your customers, someone else will.
Food does not arrive 1/5 times, and one spends 40 minutes waiting for someone to re-order the food.
Decreasing service quality, and increasing prices.
Got cancelled on 2 orders in a row. After an hour of non delivery (and still have to check if I got charged) I just went out the old fashion way.
So the last three times i have been let down by this service. First one to be fair was the restaurants mistake, second was a driver getting lost and taking 50mins longer than estimated time (completely cold on arrival) , Deliveroo were quick to respond and credited my account with a good Will gesture both occasions, but still this is food ordered and expected to arrived in good time and standard.
Tonight I ordered £50 worth of food, the money was taken from my account immediately before restaurant confirmed, the restaurant then declined order cause they were to busy apparently. Deliveroo then told me my money would be back in my account within 72hrs. Wow unacceptable, no offer of good will, just told system down nothing i can do. But that there are other restaurants available to order from. Then the person ended the chat. Probably not gonna use this service again.
Whenever I used this app I had problems. I did not receive my orders at all for many times, the helpline in app is never working, they are charging you ahead for a non delivered food and you wait for an hour on the phone to get back your own money.
I cancelled my subscription but they still take money from my bank and I am fighting to get back
Appalling app. Keeps freezing. Always seems to reconnect. Two orders placed and both rejected and that’s 30 minutes of trying to take advantage of the Deliveroo plus trial. Won’t be using this again so I’ll just stick to UberEats Good work guys, give your UX guy a medal for such a pain free app.
Long periods before finding out if an order is rejected, and live help has huge waiting times. I’ve moved to Uber Eats whenever I can find the same restaurant on it. Much more reliable—including the support when you have a problem.
Really frustrating experience. Entered my order which was accepted and paid for. Then 5 mins later got a notification it was cancelled as the restaurant is not accepting orders. Why allow be to submit an order in the first place. Will go back to ordering directly from restaurants
I remember why I deleted the App last time, I’m not a fan of hot food that’s cold or luke warm at best...
The only sensible way for food to be delivered, is by using the restaurants own driver, and ordering directly with the restaurant.

I did not receive my food. Despite being a Deliveroo plus member and being loyal to the company for so long, I have never seen worse customer service.
After calling customer support the best they were willing to do was give back what I had already paid for the order which I never received. There was no care for the fact that it now 11pm and either ordering will take another 30-40 mins and there are hardly any options open which will serve food at this hour.
After escalating and wasting more time they eventually agreed on a 5 pound compensation which is "not usual procedure". They do not care about their customer service and normally find no need to compensate for any of the inconvenience. Disappointing.
Overinflated prices, cold food, drivers always get lost! Rather go to the restaurant or eat my own foot then use Deliveroo

After having money taken from my account without my approval or consent. They then drag their heels and expect me to wait 10 days for a refund of MY money which wasn’t supposed to be taken.

Poor customer service, ordered twice, both had issues, last order took 1.5 hours then got a call to say road was closed - checked it wasn’t will not use again back to Uber eats !!!

worst customer service I’ve come across so far. ordered food, didn’t get my food, also didn’t get my £30 refund. that was all of my allowance so I didn’t get food or money, contacted them twice and they just said they won’t refund me. stupid. didn’t really act like a big deal to them either.
Very unhappy with the service, my last three order with Deliveroo were delayed and partly missing. My last order was waiting for driver 30min and then I reject the delivery due to the cold food and then I complained and got the reply if you are unhappy stop using our service. Never seen better customer service !

My food arrived totally cold and really late deliveroo didn’t give me any compensation or nothing about cold food just 5 pounds about the late, also when I had my premium subscription and I am paying for nothing because not using much, I just cancel my subscription with them, really disappointed .
Absolute joke. Don’t bother.. I could walk there pick it up and eat it by the time it gets delivered, will it be trying again, estimated delivery time of 20 minutes took 2 hours.
Stop using and move to a competitor. I have used Deliveroo since it started in London. Ik Singapore they have totally lost their ideals of customer service - food came cold, incorrect and small. I got a patronising message saying no help and they actually said they are happy to loose me as a customer. Unreal.

At busy times they won’t take your order but they waste ages thinking about it at quiet time they just close service quality is rubbish, totally unreliable an d no online human support
