Although this is a great app to get your children to brush their teeth, my son has 3 times now lost the volume on it and it hasn’t come back. I brought his toothbrush May 2018 so he had achieved everything and received lots of rewards however I deleted the app and started again to see if the volume would come back but t hasn’t. I keep trying to contact support but I’m always being told the live chat is busy and to try again later.

Could be so much better

At first this is great. Our child loved brushing his teeth and achieving the different levels. Unfortunately they stop at 18. There are only 4 backgrounds to play with which gets boring. Sometimes the brush does not sync or if you have used a different toothbrush you can’t always select to say that you have brushed and get the reward for it. As a parent, you can approve the brushing requests but we have 7 outstanding apparently but these are not showing on the daily brushing section for me to approve. I have contacted customer services from the app which turns out is a US number. They just panic and give you a UK number which is either unanswered or results in customer services who have not got a clue and don’t get back to you. In theory, this is a great idea. In practice, there is not the back up to successfully run this program. Philips is a global company in many industries. They need to invest in their products.

This is rubbish

The app has a bug which stops you from creating a parental pin

Kids love the app but can't access the parent dashboard

Version 1.7.0
My four kids, aged 5-11, love this app and it's made them eager to brush their teeth to get rewards for their Sparklies. However, when I've been out at bedtime, and the kids have brushed their teeth without the app, I have been unable to approve their brushing on the Parent Dashboard so that they still get rewarded for it. I now have over 120 instances to approve!!
Customer Service UK seems to be useless, it must be said! For a start, it's difficult to find them, with the Philips website and App support sending you through the US process. When trying to access the Parent Dashboard, I continue to get the message "failed to connect to the server, please try again later", but I've been trying for 4 months. Customer services have asked me all manner of questions but have still not given me an answer. It would get 5 stars if the support was there, but it's such a shame that their app support is letting them down.

I’ve had the toothbrush for less than one year and it now won’t charge. The in app support is US and not the Uk. Not easy to get help. Won’t buy again

Please update app!

Version 1.7.0
My children love this app and it’s changed teeth brushing from a battle into a pleasure, but please can you add more backgrounds and things for the sparkly to do as we’ve used it for 3 months and it’s now just food or a new colour and sadly I can see their enthusiasm starting to go.

Not very interactive and gets boring quickly

Version 1.6.1
Thus app, while a great idea, is not very interactive. It could have better features like actually speaking to the child and better explaining how the brush works and talking through it. After 10 days the app simply got boring and the entire sonic toothbrush was ditched with it. Phillips lets itself down with this app. It’s too basic. How can a broccoli be a reward for a child I wonder! Pay a proper developer and get with the times!

Prone to crashing, but a possible solution

Version 1.6.1
I'm in the UK, and when running this on an iPad Air 2 using iOS 10 I found the app crashed instantly after tapping "Play". The problem turned out to be language pack related. When you first open the app it downloads a language pack and says it'll use it next time the app re-starts. It was after that download that all the crashes began.
Working on a hunch that the language pack had caused the problem, I changed the system language of the iPad to "English (US)" rather than "English (British)", and the crashes stopped and I was able to use the app. So whilst this is definitely a bug that needs fixing, hopefully this workaround will help someone else in the same situation.

More variety of rewards needed

Version 1.6.1
This has transformed brushing time in our house from a battle to actually wanting to brush their teeth. I’ve knocked one star off though because although they both do it properly my daughter is earning sprays and clothing my son only ever gets food which he is getting frustrated by and I can see the novelty of the app will quickly wear off for him if that continues.
Also maybe they could earn games on the app for older ones?

Great app but latest version has bugs

It's a great app that works well at getting our children to brush properly. Latest update has caused sparkly to not respond correctly.
