We used to have 2 cars but found we rarely needed both at the same time. So we sold one and now use a combination of Bluecity and Uber if we both need a car at the same time.
The app itself works fine. I’ve found the whole process very intuitive, the cars are easy to drive and conveniently placed where we live. There aren’t always charging stations where we need to go, but hopefully this will improve as the service expands. Occasionally there are no cars at our nearest location, and sometimes one of the charging stations touchscreens stops working which is annoying but they do get fixed if reported.
My wife and I recently went on a long weekend away and drove to Gatwick and back using Bluecity. As well as being very easy and low stress, it was literally the cheapest way for two people to get to Gatwick via any (motorised) mode of transport. Next time we are going to try with our two kids as well. The boot isn’t huge but can fit a few cabin suitcase sized bags.
