App stopped working after latest iOS update, I wrote to developer and got no reply, it still gives some information, but to give you an example, it said I had 23 hours sleep over 2 nights when infact as I suffer from insomnia, I’d had 6. Widely inaccurate and worst part is if you need support? Forget it, the developer isn’t interested, it’s one of those “design and forget apps” they move onto the next one and don’t bother keeping up with the problems that the ones they have already made are having. I only bought this in the bundle option as it had Iwatch options, what a mistake that was, my next step as I told the dev is to contact Apple and ask for the app to be taken down as it surely falls below the standards that I hope Apple sets itself, when allow apps to be sold on its platform.
Noticing that other "sleep trackers" on the App Store claim to accurately track sleep with Apple Watch automatically — using only your heart rate — is misleading, and a better updated app needed to be an option for Apple Watch. Because our sleep is more complicated than just our heart rate, our movement is also part of the picture. These "auto track" apps don't use motion, as it is something that needs to be processed directly, not in the background on watchOS**. Hello, Sleep Pulse 3 Motion.
Sleep Pulse 3 is the only native Apple Watch app that can additionally support* Nap Tracking with "Power Nap", and Sleep Talk recordings with "Sleep Talk". All trackable from within Sleep Pulse 3!
• Bold Design, the app opens to your last sleep report with your sleep goal, sleep analysis, heart rate, and motion. The new Sleep Goal Ring and Analysis Donut Ring can be tapped for additional information.
• Sleep View, designed to provide context while you sleep including when you went to bed, how long you have been in bed for, and your live heart rate.
• Resting Heart Rate, upon wake your resting heart rate will be measured — a good measurement of your overall health.
• Sensitivity Level, because we all sleep differently and in different places (cars, boats, planes, camping etc) the sensitivity level for analyzing your sleep may be adjusted from the watch app.
• Complication Support, for best use add Sleep Pulse 3 to your watch face with a complication and see how much of your sleep goal you complete each night.
• iPhone Independent, away from your iPhone for a night? No problem Sleep Pulse 3 analyzes your full sleep without your iPhone, when connected it will sync the data. Get your sleep report directly on your Apple Watch.
• Bold Look, Designed to provide a cleaner and clearer look at your sleep with vibrant colors, haptics, large text, sleep ring and sleep analysis charts.
• Sleep Metrics, metrics to explain your sleep include: Light Sleep, Deep Sleep, Restless, Slept Duration, In Bed, Fell Asleep, REM Estimate, Night Steps, Resting Heart Rate, Fell Asleep Heart Rate, Range of Heart Rate, Mode Heart Rate, Average Heart Rate
• Analysis Charts, see a breakdown ratio of how you slept on the sleep analysis donut chart. Also see detail of the type of motion that occurred during your sleep on the motion analysis donut chart.
• Track Trends, track Fell Asleep Duration, Slept Duration, and your Resting Heart Rate changes
• Power Nap Add On, with the "Power Nap with Health Sync" app installed on your device you can now save and track your daily nap durations in Sleep Pulse.
• Sleep Talk Add On, to provide you with potential sleep talk recordings from your night — View the app "Sleep Talk" for more info.
• Sleep Wake Mood, save your sleep mood to the sleep report
HealthKit is used to save your sleep data to the Health app on your iPhone.
watchOS 5 and iOS 12 are required for use, 5.0 and 12.0 are recommended for best use.
*Extra purchases required, discounts through the Sleep Better with Watch Bundle*
**Sleep must be started when In Bed, and not before each night, Sleep Pulse's algorithm tracks only sleep and any attempt to try and "auto track" your sleep before being In Bed will provide inaccurate results of your sleep. » Sleep Pulse 3 has no alarm or auto track function, SLEEP MUST BE MANUALLY STARTED WHEN YOU ARE IN BED and stopped from the watch (allows for the most accurate analysis, and fell asleep time), any other app that claims it accurately tracks your sleep automatically with motion is falsely claiming that feature. watchOS 5 requires motion be manually started and stopped — then processed with the app active**

Last two nights I’ve got up and gone downstairs for an hour or more came back to bed read my book as I’ve a bad neck pain and can’t sleep. I know I had around 3 hours sleep according to this app I had over 8 hours. Rubbish now the old app was brilliant. They need to get their act together on this app. I don’t intend using it anymore it’s now a waste of money.
Working fine for me after major update - syncing far quicker & more reliable...although display does rotate from time to time if I put my wrist down during sync. Just downloaded sleep talk app & looking forward to having a go with it tonight.
Please please please don’t give this a go it’s not worth it, it’s a useless app that has absolutely nothing going for it.
I found this app fantastic until the last update. Now, for example last night, I know that I was only awake for 1 hour and 10 minutes. The written display showed me awake for 3 hours and 45 minutes. The graphic display showed me to be awake 1 hour 10 minutes accurately placed on the graph but then divided the deep and shallow sleep into exactly equal bars across the graph. I also do not have any of the additional functions on my watch.
What have you done to your app.
Please, PLEASE fix it.
Takes about 3 attempts to sync data and sometimes it is not retained in the iPhone. Shame, the display is very good. Now on the look out for a better alternative.
Every single day without fail I have to sync my Apple Watch to my iPhone several times. Looking for an alternative.
Worked after a while turn off and on sync and sleep screen great app
And all will be fine!! Cannot fault this app at all. I see a lot of negative reviews but I have nothing negative to say here. Follow the instructions properly and it all works as it should. I highly recommend this and would say this is well worth the money! I say again...follow the instructions and enjoy!
Don't waste your money, terrible app
This has to be the worst app I have paid for. £3.99 is daylight robbery. This app does not work, after it has recorded your sleep the sync to your phone just states it is loading....... forever. I have followed all the set up process and sync process and even the troubleshooting process to fix this known issue. Still does not work. I want my money back!
...it only seems to work about 75% of the time. When it does work and the data syncs back to the phone it shows exactly what I need. However it does get really frustrating when you do exactly what the app designer suggests by having the app open on the phone and it close to the watch when you try to sync, and the app just sits there on the watch. It won't send any data to the phone and wont display it on the watch either no matter how many time you try to sync again. Other times the phone can be in a different room and the app syncs first time without a problem.
If I could find a sequence that works reliably I would stick to it, but in all the months (years??) I have been using this I never got a complete weeks worth of data.
This app is extremely basic, doesn't work, feels like it was built by a twelve year old and only half finished - probably the worst app I've downloaded. How did this get by Apple quality control. Wouldn't be worth the money if it was free.
Could not get it to work try again again gave up
Don't bother wasting money it doesn't get past the pop ups
First problem: on install the app launched an insane amount of pop ups asking for various permissions. Clicking approve just made another pop up appear. Completely locked the phone and the only way to resolve it was to do reset the phone.
Second problem: after 2 nights it stopped synching data with my phone
Third problem: after removing the Watch part of the app and re-adding it wouldn't go past the loading screen on the watch. Completely removing the app from the phone too and re-installing didn't resolve it.
Not worth the hassle
Has worked one night out of 3 and yes I have read ALL the instructions.
His is about rubbish. The app has worked for me for a couple of nights but then all goes wrong. Two nights in a row I have woken to find my watch in power reserve mode and therefore not tracking sleep, but also my alarm not going off!!
Please fix this app as I think it has potential
I have also emailed the support team asking questions but had no reply.
Installed, got stuck on permissions blinking...Apparently it's already over a month (no fix yet 😳). very, very poor in every way. Bugs are not the issue (it might happen), not fixing them it is a major one.
Just tried using this again. It crashes my phone. I can't believe people aren't getting refunds for this.
How do I get a refund on this app... it doesn't work. You can't charge £4 for an app that doesn't work!!
I heard a lot about this app. So I decide to purchase it. Unfortunately it never worked! Permission notification blinking constantly so I have to restart my IPhone! Please fix it !!
This app worked amazingly well, i loved it and it was well worth the money. After update to iOS 10, the app stoped to work, I deleted and reinstalled, but the app start to blink to allow access to health kit. It was necessary to reboot the phone to get it to stop.
Please fix it 😩 so we can have the app back again 👍🏼
Works fine, but new version doesn't show in glances on watch
Very upset with this app watch app crashes continually either before i sleep or during the sync I brought the whole package as well ill be writing to AppStore for a refund app developers obviously don't want to update the app at all😡
The only failing on this app and it's a big one for me is the syncing between the iWatch and iPhone when you wake up. It's totally rubbish it always take me several attempts and often it just won't sync, I find the only way it works and thats not often is if the iWatch and the app on the iPhone are both awake, it's a real pain I just want to press the button when I wake not struggle with blurred eyes to sync it up. Never a good start to a day.
After trying alternatives, this is the only one I can get to work reliably. Well worth the few quid
It's paid for and it is totally rubbish. First sleep registered but if information didn't represent what had happened. Then the next 2 sleeps wouldn't even register on the iPhone.
The sync is cumbersome and the sleep modes are not the easiest to change. Recommend you use another app that's free cause this has too many bugs, and not worth paying for. Should have been a free version then people could see if it was worth it
What a waste of 2.99 not impressed at all who wants to push a button on the app to tell it your going to sleep.
This is the best sleep app I've so far, but it is proving to be a bit buggy. Sometimes, when trying to put it into sleep mode, it closes. And no way past it other than reinstalling in the watch. Got so bad, I deleted it from the phone and reinstalled. Performing OK, but now sends several copies of the same report back to the phone. Also, the explanation of the graphs only appears the first time you view the first graph. Had to reinstall to remember what the graphs represented and what colour meant what. Still going to use it, looking forward to the next release.
Update: Last time... I tried without increasing the watch wake screen from 15 to 70 sec. *After* it failed I increase this then kept trying. Now I have deleted the app...reinstalled and had a test sleep. That worked. Will try again to night and see what happens!
Like the previous review, I deliberated quite a bit, but since I have the latest phone and both my phone and watch OS are bang up todate, I thought I might be one of the lucky few for whom this worked? Sadly not. I assigned all the rights, set my watch to stay awake and all, but it failed. Crashes on attempting to sync 100% of the time. I don't even get to see the stats on the watch. Flicking to the "Troubleshooting" this is their top item. However, you'd have to be pretty desperate for this to work to follow the instructions. Deleting the app and RESETTING the phone!!? Then.... Wow. No I Don't want to be factory resetting stuff for the app. I think I wasted my 3 quid. Perhaps an update will fix it, but such is life. I spend a fortune in the old App Store!!!
Does the job as a standalone app. Only shows up in the health app about once a month though. Followed all the instructions to the letter. Ready to delete it. When the info shows up on health with asleep time I will use it again. My Fitbit flex with the sync app stores data better. Might as well leave my watch on charge overnight and get the better info in the health app.
It's quite by far the most fiddly and irritating app that ever was. It does work and the data it presents is accurate but, frankly, the whole 'force press here' and 'touch there' nonsense first thing in the morning is beyond stupid. It's not intuitive and getting through the instructions alone is a challenge. Don't bother. Wait until the professionals do it properly.
So first things first. It does work. (iOS 9.2 iPhone 6 and watch is 2.1.)
Can crash occasionally which is annoying, but in general it's quite good.
Hoping you keep improving this app. I'm not a great fan of the HUGE text in settings, or the chunky style of the charts that display day/week/month.
Brilliant app, don't get why so many negative reviews. Fitbit was great for the sleep tracking and this app makes the Apple Watch even better. No problems syncing with health app.
Cant even get started! Spent so many hours on this. So frustrating. No where to contact them. Money wasted!
I rarely write reviews, but was compelled to for this app. The mixed reviews kept me deliberating for a while, but in the end I thought "it's only 3 quid, get on with it". So glad I did. This is much better than the other limited apps I've tried, and I've finally stopped hankering after Misfit on my Pebble, or even the Jawbone I had before that. Didn't sync straight away, but magically sorted itself out as soon as I deleted Sleep ++. No problems since then, great charting, love the heart rate monitoring which is new to my sleep tracking regime, and now I once again know just how badly I'm sleeping!
I'm generally not a review writer. However, I found this app absolutely infuriating. It took me two nights to finally realise it wasn't going to work (it's really not very clear where or if data is being collected at all). So disappointing :(
This App is rubbish, keep your money, do not waste it or your time on this App
When this works, it provides reasonable data. However, it's far too flaky to rely upon. I followed the instructions but it is incredibly unreliable. You shouldn't have to jump through all the hoops as suggested in the instructions in order to get this to work. It doesn't sync to the iPhone reliably and even when it does, it doesn't sync the data to the Health app reliably. The sub-beta release should not be a paid app.
This was exactly what I wanted! The first night it didn't register anything but it was a user error, not a fault of the app. If syncing with you Apple Watch then you need to use the force touch when setting it to start. The stats are great in the morning and I'm fascinated by the figures. I also have a Fitbit that records sleep patterns but this app is much more accurate and displays more detail. Excellent app!
Annoying that you have to remember to "wake" yourself up. And the fact it showes me nearly every night that it takes me to fall asleep up to 3 hours or more ?! 😳. Fitbit was so much better to check my sleep pattern f me!!! Waste of money this one
App keeps crashing. Uninstalled and then reinstalled and still crashing on watch. Eventually got it to work. Followed instructions to the letter , Wore it overnight and no data transferred at all. Waste of money . Want my money back. Would give it zero stars but it wouldn't let me !!
Working really well and had no problem since 2nd Dec 2015 after reinstalled. Use it every night and see the graph and percentage of how much sleep. Keep up good work!
02/12/2015 **updated** ... Reinstalled the app and finally got it to work. The graphs are very good to view and helps you to understand how much sleep you get either on your watch or iPhone. So pleased with it now.
I followed the instruction to set up last night on first use. Woken this morning and tried to sync it to no avail. Went to troubleshooting to follow the instruction. Still won't work. It's great shame that I cannot get to work. Perhaps next update will fix this issue. So in the meantime will uninstall it until the next update to see if this will solve it.
This is the best sleep app using the iWatch out there:
I looked into sleep apps which allowed the use of the iWatch to gather data.
I found a few articles on the subject and in the end found only TWO that actually enable the watch gathering the data!
This one, and a free app. Naturally trying the free so first, it doesn't work with iOS 9, some glitch doesn't allow the watch to gather movement and heart rate data.
This app however does exactly as it says on the tin. READ the instructions and it works perfectly.
At first my app kept crashing however after redoing the troubleshooting several times I was able to get reliable usage out of the app. When it works it producing great sleep data however I think that this app definitely needs fine tuning to allow it to be more stable. To add to this, I believe the iPhone app could do with a rethink. All in all, patience is key with this application.
My iPhone and apple watch are completely update but this just WILL NOT load on my watch! Waste of time
The watch app crashes when I tap on wake at the end of my sleep. I followed the suggestions on the support page (delete, reset settings, and re-install) but it still crashes.
App works a treat, as advertised.
