Knowledge of tides is an important element of boating safety. Tidal information is essential for navigating a shallow waterway or placing your boat at anchor. The success or failure of a voyage can depend on the height or depth of a tide, while knowledge of current information can save fuel and make passage into a river or channel safer.
Tides PRO goes further than the tables provided by the NOAA. The app automatically accounts for correction factors and provides instant information without requesting that you account for time lags, daylight savings conventions, or height differences between the reference stations and the locations you are seeking.
Since the tidal information that is published in this app is not subjected to the use of the voyage, please do not use for navigation

The app looks pretty. I wanted it for my watch for live info whilst on the water. But the nearest location to me doesn’t reflect the true tide height, with a meter difference! I don’t think you understand how differently the tides can act within a seemingly short distance of points here in the UK. Please develop this area of your app and it will be a great app. Sadly I didn’t find this out until after I’d bought it, having been miss-lead by the adverts.

The app is great but it’s really difficult to find locations. Surely, it would be easier to find locations directly off a map.
Also, it would be great to open a map and and find where I’m standing.

If application had more uk tide locations it would be good. Application is sold in the UK so where is the support for UK. You should be able to change the tide location in the watch application. Still no response from US developers !

I bought this for my watch to have a complication that shows me the tides there and then. The complications just don’t work.. so not fit for purpose.

This is nice graphically on the phone,, but the tide data set for the UK is very sparse. Where you really need detailed tidal data for sailing, like Poole Entrance, and Poole Harbour there is only Bournemouth and that does not have the double tide situation Poole has.
The Apple Watch complications are also a bit simplistic. The world tides app graphics (despite limitations) are significantly better in this respect.

This is worth every penny. My favourite feature is the ‘complication’ for the Apple Watch face. You can feel closely connected to the sea every time you look at it. It’s a bargain compared to a Rolex

A fantastic app, but fundamentally doesn’t tap into the information you need. As a UK user, it doesn’t have Christchurch Dorset, for example, which nearly all other tide timetables would show… so useless. Such a shame, because the app looks fantastic, but just doesn’t tap into the necessary information.

Very disappointed to discover such limited coverage in the UK. My home port Lyme Regis, one of the most popular ports in the South West is not covered. Only about 20 ports in the UK are covered!

The screen doesn't fit the mac very well and there's no globe button so I can't move around the world - I'm stuck in the US.
Version on the phone is slightly better but very few tide locations in the UK.
Needs loads of work and I'm disappointed at paying £3.99 for something that is valued at £0.

Have emailed developer but no reply to date. The tide height for Boston UK is wrong by about five metres!
Does not show tides 365 days ahead, around nine months.
As I bought the app specifically to show Boston UK tides it’s pretty useless at the moment.

Good clear information, on both the iPhone and watch.
If I could make a suggestion - I spend most of my time on the tidal inland rivers where there is no data and have to add 4 hours to the times at the nearest tide station. If you could add an offset setting that would allow the user to customise their own location, and so cover all locations both coastal and inland.
Perhaps with some ‘flag’ would be in order to show that an offset is applied just in case the user forgets they have set one.

Overpriced and pretty useless in UK as there are so few ports.
Worst thing is it doesn’t work on my Apple Watch at all - it just gives a “downloading data” message and never gets further.
I will hang on for a while for a possible update that addresses these points, otherwise it was a complete rip-off.

It functions with what is expected to do; however, I agree with the previous feedback writer, in that it could do with more stations around the Uk.
I would go onto say that there are not many 'Options'; just the one if I'm not mistaken!
Otherwise good effort, visually it is very nice, but should we not expect that these days!

This app doesn't require an annual license and that's exactly what I'm looking for. Good, but could do better because, as a UK user, I want the secondary ports to be included. Do that and I'll give you 5* all day long. I always try to use 3 tide prediction sauces when navigating and while cross referencing the Tides PRO app, I found it is very accurate. Just minutes separating tide times and centre metres separating tide heights. Come on Tides PRO team, go for the 5 stars!
