Variety of Music to choose from

Since the first day I subscribed to YouTube premium and had access to YouTube music I’ve never gone back to other music apps. The catalog of music is crazyyyyyyyy. All genres and videos included. That’s the price of two for one in one app. It’s just the best. All they need to work on is the user interface and the sound to be standard then that’s the end of the game. Unbeatable after that. Whenever I'd close the app and return to the home screen, upon returning to the app, it would ask me if I wanted to subscribe to keep my music on. And at random moments, when an add would start playing, it would ask me to subscribe to premium AGAIN! No way. I've downloaded Spotify and that app is much better. The more you ask me to do something like subscribe, the less likely I am to do it. Keeping one star for the lyrics feature which allows you to look up the lyrics of the song you’re listening to.

Its 2024 and youtube music doesnt have a search bar for your playlist. How ridiculous!! I have over 400 songs on my playlist and if i wanna listen to a specific song i need to scroll down which takes ages and makes it so easy to just miss it! Paying £15 a month for this. Will delete and go back to spotify! Only good thing about it, is that it had every song!

Paid version won’t stop messing about with my music selections.

I spend hours finding the exact version of music for my playlist, and since I started paying, your app keeps switching to song versions instead of the video I picked. I use the setting to play songs instead of videos turned off, but it still plays songs and I have to change EVERY tune in my playlist when it plays. In some cases it can’t even find the video version I’ve set in my playlist and refuses to offer a video option. Where’s a setting to stop messing about with my selections and just play them like the free version does?

Shuffle function is rubbish, I have a playlist of about 300 songs shuffle seems to choose the same songs every time, doesn’t do a good job of mixing it up. Randomly decides it’s had enough shuffling from time to time and will just stop like you’re at the end of a playlist. If you come out of the app, maybe to watch a video or something it loses where it was. Just get Spotify!!

Good music app but some frustrating bugs. The main on that is a constant irritation is the like icon not showing correctly. So many times it shows a song not flagged as a liked song then when you click like is says removed from liked musics, as it was indeed already liked but not showing as such.

Please develop offline function for Apple Watch

My family have been YTM subscribers for years now and enjoy the content and the algorithm more so than any other streaming service. However, when it comes to functionality on Apple Watch, this app is essentially a silly remote control and totally useless if I want to go on runs without lugging around my phone. Google developer friends, please please please add some offline functionality for those of us loyal users who want to take YTM with us on the go!

The link with YouTube is annoying

I have uploaded hundreds of songs onto YTM from the time it was Google Music. When I have downloaded them and try to play them the app goes through the process of making its recommendations before playing the songs. When I am offline the songs don’t start while the app tries to show recommendations and adverts, which it can’t do offline. The result is a stalled app. This is absolute stinker. I don’t think I should pay to listen to adverts when Google is using my uploaded songs to advertise that it has millions of songs on YTM when some of those are songs that I bought before uploading to YTM.

The only issue I have with YT Music is that you can’t always view the full title of the song if it’s too long to fit in its defined area on the screen. or the name of artist/s on a song if it’s also ’too long’, there should be a way to scroll all the song details while playing it or to view all the details of the song/ album by like long pressing or something.. apart from that great service.

Would Be 5 Stars with Slide Gestures

YouTube music has definitely been the best out of all the services when it comes to predicting what music I might like next after playing a song, and presenting new music for me to sample. But I can’t really give it five stars because it lacks the slide to queue gesture that some other major services have on mobile. On Apple Music you can pull a song to the left or right in a list to queue it. It’s super helpful and quick. Vox does something similar. This is still better than the other services though due to price and song predictions.

Leave You Tube Music alone

Can the developments team just leave the application alone. It’s worked perfectly fo years until greed took control and more advertising became a priority. In the last two month the application has more than 10 updates! This started from them adding a quite nasty need for non prem users to minimise the screen to view and skip the advertising before being able to listen to song truly dangerous for those than use the app in cars! Now they they seem to of back tracked but left the app glitchy. Some things are better left alone! Do the firmware updates but leave the layout and everything else alone. When will they learn.

Bad app

Very disappointed with the app experience. Downloading music makes no sense, it gets stuck for ages and if a song is being downloaded you can’t listen to it even if you’re connected to tue internet. Songs do not get added to your playlist right away they appear when they feel like it. If the playlist you added your music to is downloaded you can’t listen to those songs most recently added until they are downloaded. Which like I said doesn’t really happen for days some times. Finding new music is hard and the recommended music is terrible as-well as the curated playlists being much worse compare to competitors.

It’s really good but there’s only a few problem

the good stuff is that if you have a family you don’t have to sign in the same account to have no adds you can just have a family account and it has all your favourite music but the problems are that if you want a song deleted from your listen again then you will need to reset your phone and that if your payment expires then you will have to get adds every 2 songs

Also that if you really like a song so you add it to your likes most of the time it won't add to it

5* app but NOTIFY WHEN A SONG BECOMES UNAVAILABLE

I love the app been putting it on to everyone for years, can’t get the range of music anywhere else!!

HOWEVER add a setting so you can choose to be notified when a song or album in our playlist/downloads is removed… j.cole yours truly got removed after being in my downloads & playlists for years since i got the app… it’s still available just had to add to playlists or download each song individually from videos but i had to scroll to the album or the playlist to see it was no longer available.

Also, please make it so i can add 1 song to multiple playlists when clicking add to playlist as i find doing the process repeatedly can become long esp when you’re looking at a specific artists songs for example, you will forget which one of the multiple tracks you have just added.

Not intuitive

I can't give a good rating to this app for several reasons. The first is that the application is unintuitive. It's difficult to change settings, the download is in the wrong place. The problem is that automatic downloading is turned on by default, which I don't like to use because it will lock a movie whose content I like, but I don't want to overwhelm my phone's memory with unnecessary content and, on top of that, have it offline. It doesn't have to be music. However, not everyone on the subway wants to listen to content such as reviews of some equipment. And another thing is that downloaded items that I somehow have on my device are extremely difficult to remove. Because I write that it has been deleted, but in fact it is not deleted and after some time I hear it again on my playlist. I do not like it.

Yt music is not good at all

Few things about the app

Its a nice app as yt has everything you will meed to watch ad free and other benefits.

I have been using yt premium for 2+ years now and there are few things I don’t like about yt music

1) the sleep timer for any song always ends before the song even when you press the end of track option

2) it doesn’t have a custom timer to shut down app which it had earlier where you could atleast + or - 5 mins from the app which is a necessary thing if you work or sleep and want to play music to a certain time.

3) there is no option to skip the song for 10 seconds anymore. I don’t know who suggested that skipping the whole song option was only needed rather than both(10 second skip and song skip) but this was a bad idea.

4) don’t copy other music apps but atleast learn from their mistakes if not yours. I pay £17 for this app and being ad free and play videos in background just not it.

These are few things one needs on a music app. I will use this app for this whole month and see if there are any updates to fix these issues otherwise i will stop using it after that. I have good few alternatives and my pc doesn’t even neet yt premium(it has adblock extension) it’s just my phone.

Adverts

I love this app don’t get me wrong, i mean i gave it 4 stars, but it used to have like two, five second adverts or sometimes just the odd one, now it’s full of 20-30 second unskipable adverts, and this putting a 5 second advert and then a 20 second one after it is fair annoying too, it’s like every time it updates they get longer, i use it a lot less now i keep on having to wait sometimes nearly a minute just to listen to a song.

Love it but far from where it needs to be!

I love YT music more than any other music streaming service, simply because there is way more music on here than others. However, I’ve noticed some things in the app that needed a bit of improvement. For example, if I lose data in a bad service area, and the song I’m playing has been downloaded, it should automatically keep playing. It’s kind of annoying that I have to wait for the app to finally recognise that I’ve lost data, and then it finally says to ‘take me to my downloads’ where I have to play the song from the beginning. I also think the layout needed some general improvements, it’s a bit slow sometimes and it could be a lot sleeker as right now it’s a bit clunky. Hire an app designer asap! Because there’s a lot of potential for it. Also when I want to add a song to a playlist, there are way too many options. Most people either want to add songs to playlists, to a queue or share with friends…. I think if the app visually looked nicer that would help though. Anyways for me the money monthly is worth it just for the vast range of songs, but I get why it isn’t for some people. Other streaming services are way ahead in other ways.

Brilliant app but have problem with shuffle play

Nice app, song base way more vest than competitors, didn’t experience any issues with stability (I’m using it since past 8 months and didn’t crash even once), one thing that might could work better and be improved is shuffle play. I’ve got a feeling like it does not work as it should, after actuation positions from playlist are playing “randomly” but always in same order so every time you want to listen some random songs from your playlist you know what to expect. Other than this everything alright but please make shuffle play more shuffle.

Amazing choice of music

I can’t fault this . You can just listen to endless music with no adverts for hours on end . The quality of the music is perfect and the list of songs seems endless , Go premium as it’s ad free and just brilliant.

The only negative is that tracks you may love and want to keep will disappear from you likes and downloads’ why do we have to loose tracks we have searched so hard for ?

I wish there was a message explaining why’ you can still see the track in you playlist or likes ‘but it won’t play anymore 🥲🥲🥲

But it’s still the best for music 😎😃😃

Renewing membership

I love this app my only music source been using premium since I’ve had it, recent month where I’d moved money from my account to another it failed taking payment leading to my subscription to end when I try to re new it, it will only let me purchase the family membership as opposed to a single membership that’s a serious flaw it literally screams we want your money it could be a bug within the app but needs sorting asap.

Love this app but please bring back the view counter at the top of your playlists you make public in the last update this was added and I enjoyed seeing the activity and seeing how many people had listened to my playlist and you could see the view count at the top when you select your playlist now it’s just replaced with public instead of the view counter

Excellent but room for improvement

Overall I love the algorithms that drive the “my super mix” and so on, as they’ve led me to lots of new music that I otherwise wouldn’t have heard - so long may that continue.

Downside is that I am into electronic music, and as such artists tend to release singles sporadically, and often in different genres/styles… so I tend to follow record labels rather than artists. Sadly none of the streaming services slow me to follow record labels.

The closest I’ve found to it is beatport and junodownload. Neither of which are streaming services… for now at least.

Needs Optimising

Update: April ‘23

Been almost a year since I last tried the app. Its still improving but not there yet. Skipping songs is almost instant and it mostly remembers what you were last listening to. 👍🏻

However it still feels heavy (phone lags like crazy when using the app) and I’ve run into a issues where locking the phone causes the app to die within 30 seconds.

I really really want to like using this app but its still almost impossible with these bugs.

After giving up with this app last year for being slow at skipping songs (2-3 minutes) I thought I’d give it another go. Seems to be improving (song skip more quickly now). But the app seems restart after a couple minutes of not using it which is very frustrating. Other music apps do not have this problem. This app also seems to slow down my phone/ipad more than any other apps I use. UI Improvements: I’d like to see the skip button also be a FF button like every other player out there. Frustrating as it breaks the usability of keyboard shortcuts or car controls. Also add a scroll bar to quickly scroll through a playlists.

This app was great don’t get me wrong but a few days ago my phone started to crash whenever I used it it did not just affect the music app itself but the whole apps and phone together idk if it’s a bug or somthing but since using the app each time it glitched my phone now it doesn’t work at all whenever u click on apps ect it wont work so I’m confused on why it’s doing this I can’t even go on settings to see if I can fix this glitch it is very frustrating as now I can no longer use my phone and have to write this complaint on another device has anyone else had the same experience were the phone completely ruined the app I did try shutting down the phone reseting it and deleting the app and downloading it again I also tried deleting music incase I had to many songs but non of this worked until my phone completely wouldn’t corporate I’ve been wondering if it’s a bug or something in the app but I just don’t know please don’t get this app if it continues to do this to others as although I’ve loved this app for ages it’s not worth losing your phone over

When it gets to know you you get cleverly concocted playlists just to suit your tastes to sit in your library next to the playlists you’ve made yourself…WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE?

Make some playlists you can share and watch their popularity soar and listen at your pleasure for days and days, weeks, months, forever…I’m not joking, check it out, start off with Lowell George, then some Little Feat, to build the mood and pick your finale from a list of related or similar tracks or just go ape with a Britney Spears number.

I really like this app but I have one suggestion

I think many people don’t usually add all the songs of a album into the library, but we would like to see the album of a certain song listed the ALBUMS page. It’s a pity that If I add one song into my library, I can’t find it in the ALBUMS page. I can only find it in the SONGS page. I really hope that the developers can see my comment and change this. I hope someday I can find all my songs in the ALBUMS page.

Not suitable for offline listening

The offline listening experience is broken. Two major issues:

1) Even when a playlist is downloaded, the app tries to stream the tracks. This gets frustrating especially when travelling underground. The only way to play a downloaded playlist is to go to the “Download” section and select the same playlist.

2) On multiple occasion, when playing a playlist, the player gets stuck at the third or the fourth song on loop and refuses to move ahead.

I have submitted this feedback twice via the in-app feedback mechanism but there isn’t even an acknowledgment that the feedback was received, let alone being acted on.

Recent bug

I’ve noticed that recently, I will be listening to my music when one song won’t play no matter what. It’s always random and it’s not just a loading problem as if I skip it, the rest of my music will play as normal. However, I don’t want to skip songs just because they won’t play.

It’s a wonderful app however, and the only thing I would like to see added is to shuffle my liked songs from a certain artist. If I shuffle my artist liked songs, it will add songs that either I haven’t liked by the artist or completely different songs. This would be a nice addition to the app.

Over all I’m very satisfied with You tube music. Names such as the Peterson’s, Robyn Adele Anderson, Haley Rheinhart, and a host of wonderful celebrities all very talented singers and dancers and of course musicians, spring to mind.

However I feel that I must report that sometimes there is a pronounced hiccup which spoils an otherwise flawless experience.

Please tell me what I can do about it.

Needs simple bug fixes

Please fix: Play next Add to queue Chromecast So annoying that I can’t add songs to play next or even the queue while casting. Playing to Xbox one, can’t change the song after casting. Have to restart the Xbox to play a different song while casting from phone. Simple stuff like this should not be an issue. Paying £20 a month to a billion dollar company and I can’t change the song from my phone. Such simple functionality that doesn’t work. Annoying to say the least.

Perfect for everyone including those who like anime music and Vocaloid

I love this app and because I like anime and Vocaloid music it all fits nicely in this app and I love seeing improvements and also the sleek design of the player section is very good too. Also, I have never experienced problems with this app at all.

If I could rate it ten out of ten I would. Whoever updates this app needs to keep going because there never seems to be any issues as far as I know. Keep up the great work and I would love to see more features on this app that allow direct connection with Google nest devices. I have seen it done but was poorly executed by another person but if it’s done correctly here it will prove that this app will be more better over the years to come. Well done to everyone at Google for making such a great music app.

One thing missing

This app is brilliant!! I’ve tried other music apps but this has to be the best one out there.

Just one thing which I think would make it perfect and that is when you are playing a song you have options to save to playlist amongst others…….would be really good if another option was to see the album it was from and the other tracks in that album.

Not optimised for Apple Carplay

I understand that YT music is a Google product but you must also consider that a great majority of customers are iPhone users. YT Music on Carplay encounter errors 2/10 of the time where you have to restart the app or disconnect/reconnect the phone.

Also the major issue that completely gets me off from using YT music on Carplay is that pressing “Shuffle” button on the Apple Carplay screen does nothing. You have to go to your iPhone to activate Shuffle mode, which isn't great if you're driving.

Some minor tweaks on these issues and YT Music will be a great music app even for iPhone users.

Literally so bad

The mixes it makes for you contains like one artist you know, the rest are genres and artists completely out of your desired music.

No matter how much you like and dislike songs, the algorithm still spews out terrible stuff, plus the songs you dislike still get put into you mixes. I’ve had to dislike one song at least 10 times.

Any features made to tailor to your taste literally doesn’t work. I wouldn’t usually mind but it’s literally music that nobody would listen to because it’s all over the place. I want normal music not some terrible music festival wannabes. That’s what sound cloud is for

Amazing but needs some work

We need a repeat current song button. And when in offline mode they need to allow us to be able to search for a song in our downloads. If u don’t have internet connection you’ll have to scroll through ur entire playlist looking for a song regardless of the fact it’s already been downloaded.

Even better if...

Overall I like this app, but I think it would be even better if there was a search bar available within each playlist that you have created. This would make life a lot easier if you have a playlist with 300+ songs as you could just search for the songs that you’d like to hear rather than having to go through the whole playlist just to look for a song that you would like to listen to.

A few work on point probably not going to get fixed!

Well the app is all good, apart from when you try add music to your playlist, the playlist that you have made aren’t there, so really you can’t add music, also why do you have to update and manually download your music even tho once you have downloaded that playlist you got to sync it again, doesn’t make sense, is so stupid and annoying, then when you do play the songs they just won’t load even tho I’m connected to wifi, and sometimes when there’s a video, the video and the sound aren’t in sync, there’s always a delay, this probably won’t get fixed as long as they are getting there subscribed payments they are happy.... so unsatisfied

A huge downgrade from Google Play Music

As a free user of GPM, I had saved and uploaded a lot of music to my account. I don’t subscribe to a streaming service and I don’t plan to. I listen to a my own small collection. In GPM I could listen on any of my devices by casting but in here I can’t. Casting my own purchased and or uploaded music to my own devices requires a subscription. Where is the sense in that?

Some of the transferred music is missing and when I asked it’s because of licensing issues in YTM. I can’t play my own music which I purchased from the Google Play Store in YTM.

The whole UX of the app is a mess, the music is hidden in an awful menu structure. Searching for music is painful and shows results in different tabs. Why not allow users to only show or see their own content? If they want to see the entire global search results they can just enable that setting. Google needs to start using all that money and machine learning for better software development.

What was wrong with Google Play Music?

The music plays fine at home, but when I’m out, even tough I have downloaded a playlist, the ap has often forgotten this and refuses to play the playlist. It seems to download, and then remove the downloads. This was not the case with Google Play Music.

The problem seems to be that Download seems to be a state of a playlist, when in fact it should be an ambition, so if I add a track to a downloaded playlist, that new track and all the others should be available offline. But the point seems to drop the download...

Please sort it out. Or just don’t cancel Google Play Music - it did all I needed it to, and mostly better than you tube music.

As bad as it is possible to be

I have used the Play music app for many years, now google has forced me to use this app. I hate it! If I could give less than one star, that I’d what this app would get.

I am now looking for alternatives, and also plan to move away from other google services.

Reasons:

- it does not let me play my music with the app in the background (unless I pay google for a subscription that I don’t need and don’t want). This makes it unusable for me. It means I can’t do anything else on my phone while I listen to music.

- it doesn’t let me download music to my phone. Again, unless I pay for a subscription. Google: I don’t want a subscription. I already have most of the music I need.

- why does it play me adverts when all I want to do is listen to my own (purchased) music

+ I just found out that I can no longer cast to a google home hub, or ask it to play from my music library, unless, guess what,...I pay for a premium subscription.

I will be contacting google to get a refund on my google homes, since they have taken away the one feature I use most.

Poor design and UX logic

I mean it does that job, so it’s okay. But it’s only okay.

It’s still worse than the soon to be shut down Google Play Music, which should raise warning bells that this is worse than that old app.

It lacks basic logic filtering like seeing all albums you have by an artist. Now it’s just a long sprawling list of songs. Want to listen to an album by an artist? You’ll need to search for the album in albums instead of searching for the artist.

Want to filter albums by when released year, genre, artist, grouping or anything else? Tough luck. You can’t. You just get all the albums in chronicle order.

Or let’s take compilations. Lovely things with lots of artists contributing music. Not here though. Now your artists list is polluted with hundreds of artists with only one song connected to them.

Or what about videos? I mean we like videos, but for an app that’s designed to work in the background, why are you always forcing a video onto us. Allow us to block that out. If we want to watch a video then give us the option, but don’t force it down our throats.

Really if you have to use the app you have to. But if you can avoid it, avoid it. Go for anything else. Heck you’ll be better of using anything else.

Great App

Great App but needs improvement, I’d personally like to see a feature where it tells me how long I listen to a genre of music, how many times I’ve listened to a song, most played song, most listened album. Maybe even a regional leaderboard to see who listens to the most music and where, and the exact songs/albums that get the most run time on the app in those locations (kind of like trending) but more refined and less promotional. I’d like to see the ability to backup your downloaded song to the cloud that way you have the exact same songs on a different device (this currently is not in the app) it is painful to get a new device and have to type out hundreds to thousands of songs and download individually.

Very good but...

I enjoy using this app overall and, of course, works very well with my Google Home speakers. Massive range of music, very little if anything can’t be found on there. But... the hotlist section isn’t catered to me, it’s just a general hodgepodge of new music which for the most part is rarely my taste, so seems pointless. They have algorithms that know what a person likes, so think that could be better utilised for this section. Oh and would prefer it just stayed black or gray where the track title is, can look a little gaudy trying to fall in with some artwork, or at least an option to stop it changing, but that is a minor quibble. Love it mainly!

Great App

I love using this app. Now that the Siri integration has been implemented it’s even better. The main thing that I would like to see improved is that I often find that I’m playing music and I pause it for several minutes with the app closed. Then when I go to start playing from where I left off the app will sometimes not have saved where I left off in a playlist.

Other than that, it would be useful if when playing songs that have already been downloaded if it would prioritise playing the one that is saved to your device in instances where it’s the very same song, artist, upload etc. This would be good in areas of poor signal to ensure that the playback quality is the best it can be.

All in all a great selection of music and a well designed app.

Couple things to fix please!

Love the app and would be 5 stars if not for the following:

1. When offline, the ‘go to downloads’ link doesn’t work, I have to go to the top right menu and choose downloads from there

2. When making changes to my library, new songs are added to those playlists in downloads, but when songs are deleted that isn’t updated. So I find myself deleting the playlist and redownloading whenever I’ve deleted songs

Please fix these minor issues and Im happy to give 5 stars. Thanks!

Could be great

Good music selection, generally easy to navigate the app but for what it costs per month there are some serious flaws.

No option to shuffle all downloads

No ability to sort playlists

No ability to sort downloads

If like me you are well into your music and listen to alot you will likely agree that being able to sort your playlists is paramount. They don’t facilitate this what so ever in this app and have shown no signs of changing this.

Also i download all of my playlists so i can listen offline. I would love the ability to just select “shuffle downloads” but you can’t. You can only shuffle songs within a specific playlist, it doesn’t give a shuffle all option of any form.

For how simple these things must be to add i think it’s pretty criminal that they don’t do it, especially given what they charge.

I’m holding out because i do like the basic structure of the app but if these things aren’t added soon i will be moving away from YT music.

Appalling integration with Google devices

The app itself is nice and easy to use. However it has a serious flaw when using it with Google Home or Chromecast. If you want to cast songs from the app to the smart device you will find that the “play next” feature to add songs to the queue stops working properly. Added songs do not appear in the queue list in the app (despite a pop up message confermino that the song will play next), but they will play on the smart device, although you won’t be able to control the volume anymore.

Love it but the app needs improving

Recently subscribed following the one month free trial. I like that I can set up different accounts for family and premium removes annoying ads. The whole app works so much smoother without the ads and interruptions. I’ve recently switched from Apple Music after 2 years, where YT music has more videos and miscellaneous tracks and remixes/rarities which suits me, it lacks in new music content that Apple Music provides. If YT music can improve on the content and make more new music and content visible in the app then it will be amazing.

Frustrating!

So, I live in the UK, but for a few months I will be in Greece and every time I am trying to use the WIFI at my house to stream music I cannot because it’s unavailable in this country then if I turn on my mobile data from my UK plan I can listen to my music. This is just disappointing, especially from a company like Google and also having the most expensive plans compare to other music services. I really hope that you either fix the your pity app or people ignore your app. Once again Frustrating!!!

It's so so...

I mean, it's worth a go, especially since you get a free 3 month trail at the moment. And unlike apple music you can shuffle after you chosen to play a particular song, multiple times until you like the play que. However besides the UI that needs some serious work and other little things the main issue I had... Was that twice in the space a week the app would become unresponsive and I'd have to delete the app and download all my music to work again... 😑 plus it doesn't play too nicely with iOS in general. But again. Try it for yourself. It might be good enough.

Needs work

This has a ton of potential, but there are two basic issues. With the free version (on mobile device) - making it cut out when minimised or screen locked is too much of a drawback to make it even usable in an ad- supported version. The paid version - the current algorithm repeats the same songs far too frequently. I've had the paid version for a few weeks and given the algorithm large datasets to work with, but the same songs come up with such regularity is extremely irritating. Perhaps the issue is my very eclectic taste in music, but I doubt it.

Good but flawed app.

There are some performance issues and bugs with this app on iOS, the controls in the app when skipping tracks are very unresponsive and slow, taking several ‘pushes’ and seconds to register, where as on the lock screen the controls are much quicker. Also on the lock screen it often displays the wrong track information to the song you’re listening to, usually this displays the previous track you listened to while the next track plays. This really needs to be improved as you should be able to rapidly cycle through tracks in the app.

Disappointed and risky

First review I’ve ever bothered to write.

Literally cannot use the app for a car journey without it resetting half way through songs, I then have to reload the app and select the downloaded playlist two or three times a journey! (Of course Mr Police officer I always pull over to the side of the road in a safe location before touching my phone)

Much improvement needed with the integration and app layout as well.

Surely one of the key markets for any music app is cars and integration into software such as Apple play and the likes, as such I’d expect to be able to rewind songs the same as competitors apps can.

YouTube’s got a unique scope of music that no other app can access but this is a rushed and disappointing start to what will more than likely be the market leader for streaming at some point. No excuses for this guys and girls

Needs improvement

I know this is relatively new but there is few thing needs to be improved right away. First of all, replay music option isn’t there. every time I want to listen to the music I put on again I have to open my screen and tap on the app. Secondly, there is no fast forward option. Last is a major issue for me. I downloaded some music and I can’t access the app when I’m offline, it asked me for internet connection. I mean what’s the point of downloading music when I can’t use the app while I don’t have internet?

Stopped working

Second day using it, it seemed great in the beginning, upgraded to the free 3 month trial so was able to download and listen to music offline once I created a playlist, then Later music started to go missing from my playlist, now today I go in the app the playlists that I had are gone completely, I go to check my downloaded music, there’s only a few showing, the rest are showing missing, when I try to re load them, there’s an error message that comes up, I tried to search for music to re do my playlists when I try to search for an artist it just says no results, even though they showed up yesterday. They really need to fix the app for people to use it, it’s all glitched and poor, will be deleting it, useless.

Very buggy and missing basics

Very disappointed with this app so far:

1) When downloading playlists, the album art is pixelated for EVERY track. I can’t find a way to fix this.

2) Even though the setting for downloading videos is switched on - it will only download audio and not videos for offline use.

3) Despite having a gigabit Internet connection, downloads are incredibly slow. Almost 3 hours for just 2GB of content. On Google Play music, 2GB will take around 15 mins to download on my iPhone.

4) What’s the point of adding something to your library? Where does it go? This app feels rushed.
