Updated my review as this is now fully working again for me. Took a long time but thanks for getting this app back up and running. 👍

Most recent update for me fixed hainvg to open the app to get the vehicle connected, it also updates any missed journeys so good to have all that back.
App works well most of time, but hit n miss when dates transferred, only problem is mines always a day out!
Had my 5008 for over a year now and used this app from day 1 (or should I say tried to use this app) the app sometimes record’s a journey displaying 1 in the driving section then when I click on this the journey completely disappears and is no longer there? Why does the app ask for permission every time, like other’s to touch your phone while driving in the UK! Will this app ever allow you to track your Peugeot without your phone being in the car and on Bluetooth? If Vauxhall can do this surely Peugeot can!
I accept that some improvement has been made over the last couple of updates, but this app and it’s obvious faults are a massive frustration not only for me, but reading other reviews it appears this app frustrates other’s!
It would helpful if you spend more time getting the app sorted once and for all, than asking reviewers to contact your support.
I have to keep logging in almost every week! Also having to give permission every time I unlock my iPhone is very annoying and slows me down using my phone, why can’t I allow always?!
Utterly dreadful App
Misses journey after journey
Doesn’t update the mileage to match the car
I don’t understand why they bothered with an App if this is the outcome …. Just pointless
I was shocked after buying the car that cost me more than €38,000 that the app is not available in me country (Saudi Arabia). Even the country is not listed when setting up the car!
Ok, as a major global car manufacturer you need to address this app and its flaws.
1. Why does it need to constantly ask for approval to connect to bluetooth every time i turn the car on. Is should be an automated process once approval has been given on set up.
2. How can you not justify making this app EV specific? I dont need to know any options regarding an ICE.
3. Charging. According to peugeot documentation the optimal charge range is between 20% and 80%, so why do you not provide the option automatically stop the charge at 80%?
4. I like to option of setting up my next destination in the app but whats the point when it doesnt communicate the instruction when connected to the car?
5. Auto hand brake. Yes this isnt app specific but more of a car software issue. Surely this can get an app update to apply the brake when stationary as opposed to flicking the handbrake on. Ive had it on previous cars, granted not peugot but if other manufacturers can do it so can peugot.
Like the app and the car but you can make it so much better.
This app is fabulous for keeping track of mileage, this is most helpful for me to claim mileage back through my company. Saves me having to remember noting down mileage at the start and end of the day!
App frequently doesn’t work. This is a widespread problem ( see other reviews). App poorly coded and doesn’t come near to other manufacturers apps. Have to login via Bluetooth EVERY journey and then frequent mileage errors and often doesn’t calculate mpg. If you’ve got better things to do with your life avoid this app. P.S ja be listed some of the errors so I don’t need Peugeot app developers to ask me AGAIN what is wrong!
I do not understand how you can have an app on your phone that connects to your car, that keeps a) losing its log in and b) asks to be allowed to connect to the car.
In the UK you are not allowed to handle your phone while driving. So make the connection automatic and stop logging me out. It’s a Peugeot app talking to Peugeot car with a crap connection.
I expect so much more than this, so disappointed.
After suffering this app for 6 years across 3 different cars I solved the app issues I had suffered throughout. I brought a Mustang Mach-e, Fords app actually works!
This app is awful doesn’t connect to the car at all keeps asking me to connect I can no longer get my handbook in English for some odd reason and the app crashes all the time and the Bluetooth doesn’t work either plus it doesn’t update journeys either and it’s a failure of an app and I’ve deleted it cause it’s useless too I wish I could unlock my car with the app or change climate settings or various things you can do with most car apps I won’t be downloading it again
It doesn’t always receive updates from the car, for an EV it’s rather important to know charging level, remote control charging.
Trip monitoring is a laughable feature, so is the maintenance schedule. Even the page to check if there are updates to the in car system or the maps don’t work.
Someone at Peugeot need to actually use it as an average user without learning how to get around its flaws, and please test it on all your cars.
Yay iOS 14.5.1 and 1.34.4 the car auto connects to the app and the journeys are recorded without doing anything (like it used to a few versions back). Well done!
This App is useless as it does not connect to my car and download the journey data, in fact it does nothing. Not impressed with this and no one seems to be interested at the Peugeot dealers to get it sorted!
This is dire. Rarely works, impossible to refresh, charge status won’t update and therefore can’t control charging. The developers should be utterly ashamed.
V1.34.4 just as bad. Certainly put me off ever buying another Peugeot EV or Stellantis related vehicle. No idea why people give it anything other than a 1 star review, let alone 4 or 5 stars. I’d give it 0 if the option was there.
Well. Where to start? Intermittent Bluetooth connectivity. Dreadful service tracker. Reminders to ‘update’ but no update in the App Store? No method to contact the developer. Apple’s ‘report a problem’ also goes to a dead end - ‘no server at this address’…
Terrible effort from PSA
The app information ref mileage and charge status takes a while to refresh
I have a 508 hybrid, I can’t get past the verification process where I drive multiple journeys of more than 20 minutes. I have uninstalled the app and added the car multiple times and it doesn’t help. I have logged over 1000 miles in total and it will not verify. After speaking with Peugeot they give a useless response as usual “we are aware of this issue and will be fixed in a update” they didn’t do anything.
Update: advised to contact the support page, I got the exact same response. Absolutely useless!!!
Used for a while now just for battery checking mainly and occasionally preconditioning as nothing else within the app is any good or accurate enough and journey details don’t include energy usage info, charge status is a bit patchy and now stopped working all together like others have experienced although app is updated and connected correctly, don’t bother with customer service as that’s poor too so best just give up on it until they manage to find a solution. I use the home charger app now to make sure it’s charged up. If this E-208 is the future of motoring to save the planet god help us cus we’re all doomed !!
The app is easy enough to setup, Bluetooth and CarPlay, one thing is one is unable to resync the data to get the lastest travel history, it’s stuck at the first sync, that’s all.
Unable to contact app support either.
I’m trying to add the eRemote Control but subscription is pending, and I can’t access the Read More link because it’s telling me my browser blocks pop-ups. Pop-ups are not blocked in my Safari app, and open from any other app. I have no idea why my subscription to view charge status - frankly the only useful part of an app like this - is pending, not complete, and I can’t find out!
Also, the map widget doesn’t load a route to let me see what it has planned for me. Seemingly it will launch when I get into the car, but I want to see the proposed route now, with my phone in my hand, and so I can see available charge points en route.
So far not impressed with the app.
I had this app activated for all previous cars (x4) and it worked well. For new EV turning out to be pointless and frustrating. You have to make ‘several’ journeys of 20 mins or more! How many? Now I found out after a week that I need to activate the app on starting the journey! Only found that out by reloading the app. Ridiculous & not how hubby’s BMW app works
Remains pointless & useless. Doesn’t matter how many times I send feedback, nothing changes.
Don’t reply developer with your standard response. Do something about the feedback. Don’t ask for feedback if you are not going to do anything about it.
I suggest the star rate advertised does not reflect current opinions.
When will you sort out logging in after an update, maybe even incorporating that new feature that other apps use - Face ID!!!
The iPhone app doesn’t use cached passwords so I guess that would be a start…
Useless app. Does not refresh properly. Remote command function useless. Interrupts charge. Suggest you get your act together. Bugs galore. Next car won’t be a Peugeot if the online capabilities are not improved. Hire some App designers who know what they are doing rather than the software engineers who engineered this monstrosity of a useless user experience.
Does not work in Saudi Arabia our Middle East
The app thinks it’s 2007 and there is no way to adjust the date. When reviewing journey details it has them all dated as 2007 which means you cannot view ‘this weeks’ journeys.
Very good to have manuals and help videos within the app, one problem, every time you get in the car, app prompts for allow blue tooth connection and the app opens to connect to car. It kind of annoying to repeatedly give permission to app to connect to car. There is definitely something which can be made the connection information persistent.. other app is generally helpful.
To start off with the app was brilliant showed my charge and allowed preconditioning. But the past 2-3 months it has been useless has not been updating charge status whilst charging and only sometimes works properly when triggering preconditioning. I know the app is connected to the car correctly as it records my driving etc. correctly and once charging has stopped it will update but will not
update at all whilst vehicle is charging which is useless as is one of the main features!
I have to keep logging into the app for my journeys to be recorded and it still asks for permission. I wld rather I set this up once and can change it, if I decide to.
You’ve updated the app but if you still look on the maps there’s a new update and you’re still displaying the old update you need to sort this out. The 2022 version is there a new display in the 2021 version.I need to keep all this updated
Constant reminders to update…but no update available because I’m updated! Irritating to say the least!
After nearly two years of wasting my time with an App that only worked occasionally you finally admitted there was a problem an released an update which then had to be superseded soon after.
The App then appeared to be doing what is supposed to do until suddenly it required me to log in again to continue using.
I logged in as instructed and all part of the app were accessible - just one problem, it hasn’t recorded a single journey since!
So here we are same old useless app - what is French for a chocolate fireguard?
Subtracts miles from total instead of adding on!
Disconnects if iPhone is plugged in to use CarPlay!
Doesn’t always record a full journey!
Figures in the App DO NOT correspond with figures in the car!
Last recorded location shows totally different to where car actually is!
For the App to be worth using it …….
1. Should not have to confirm connection with car & App.
2. Should work separately so that all figures update when car is used regardless of phone being in/out of car. (If car is at dealership for example & out on a test drive).
3. Should work even if phone is plugged in using CarPlay.
Got that frustrated with such poor performance and dis-functionality that after 7 weeks of owning car and uninstalling/reinstalling App on Peugeot’s request that I deleted it for the last time. Needs to be improved 500% before I even think of trying it again.
Car = 10/10 :)
App = 0/10 :(
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :(
I use CarPlay every time I drive. I’ve noticed when using CarPlay the car app doesn’t track your journey. I’ve seen other people comment on this 2 years ago and it looks like it hasn’t been fixed so I think I’ll be deleted the app. Would be nice to have journeys tracked and see how much it has cost you in fuel though but again I doubt you are going to fix the issue.
I have the car on charge at the moment but the app won’t connect. It is still giving information from the previous day. It doesn’t even recognise that the car is currently on charge. Has anyone looked at the recent reviews to see how much this app is letting people down.
The app is great outside of the extremely frustrating Driving Statistics element, which I’d love to use to as my work journeys on the few occasions I use my car for a work errand.
The problem is that the connection to collect the statics, where the App displays “connected to vehicle”, happens very infrequently …. maybe one in 20 journeys!
The Bluetooth connection is great, the charging status is great, car location and journey stats are appalling.
Come on Peugoet, your programmers can’t be this bad at testing what you release to your users ??
PS: my colleagues in France have the same issues with their new Peugeot cars too.
Shocking, tge amount of times this app can’t connect to the car is unbelievable, I should be able to see the change status of my car, but it doesn’t work more often than it actually works, this app drives me mad…. Totally useless
Un nouveau update c’est génial et intéressant
The maintenance service section is still completely blank but at least this version now collects all the journeys.
Having just taken delivery of a new car, the dealership told me to install this app. Which is fine. I’m finding it interesting - if a little scary given current fuel prices - to see how much the journeys cost, but get very frustrated at how poorly they are logged. I’ve made 2 long drives for work recently, give permission to track - and seriously, do you have to ask me every time I get in the car? - and neither has registered. Just when the data would have been most useful it lets you down.
So while I can see the potential, and I’m sure other functions will be very helpful in due course, I do think there is still some work to do for this app to be truly good.
First of all you have to allow the app to connect every time you get in the car which means if your phones pack away in your bag, you have to faff about. I’ve just done a considerable number of journeys this weekend across England and Wales And it barely logged any data. 4 hours of driving on Friday non stop and it logged about 20 minutes of the journey and gave me inaccurate cost per journey detail. Really wouldn’t bother using it.
I’ve had my car a few months now and over all I like it all being a few niggles. How ever this app is absolutely CRAP! I can hardly use the preheat function in my e208 the app just fails to work. A feature that I would love to use and one I’ve paid for in buying this car. It fails to connect half the time, is unresponsive and gives me incorrect data. Who ever at Peugeot is coding and developing this app you need to get rid off and pay some real developers to get this sorted. A complete rebuild of this app needs to be done from the ground up.
This isn’t just me but all over the internet there’s nothing but annoyance and frustration with this app.
Looking through some of these reviews it seems Peugeot are asking for feedback with there issues.
This shows me you haven’t even used the app because of you had you wouldn’t need to ask and you would have done something about it by now!
I can and will not Recommend this app or car for that matter to any one. Paying a lot of money and not being able to use all of my cars features is totally unacceptable!!!
Tbh, app itself is missing so much options that it can show. Battery usage status as example. Charging history. Peugeot are missing the opportunity to update they app inline with the market. My main issue is the app never remote communicates with the vehicle. So no updates on charging or anything. Peugeot please sort it out
I have a brand new 3008 Hybrid. I want to be able to flip between instant and scheduled charging however it on stuck on instant but still won’t kick off an instant charge. I now have issues manually at the car. Not sure if this is an app or actual charging issue but is really causing me a headache.
The concept is excellent, an app to track journeys data, show car stats, show servicing details etc. Everything is laid out well in the app and is straight forward to find and use, but…….the app connecting to the car is a whole different story, connects 1 or 2 times in every 10 journeys. Start the car, phone connects via bluetooth almost instantly, then sit and wait for the app to ask if it can connect (why on earth does it have to ask every time!?!), click Yes and the app loads, most of the time it gets stuck on the loading screen and freezes, this is regardless of the app running in the background or if not running at all. Connect the USB to use Carplay and the app disconnects (Peugeot, its nice that you added a wireless charging pad but its redundant because you didn’t add wireless carplay). Basically the app would be amazing if connection was automatic without prompting and reliable, for now I’ve removed it as its a waste of time.
Like many others app worked for the first 6months, then one day the remote charge screen froze. Logged out and reinstalled the app. Since then it tells me car is registered to another phone and when I use the security code sent, a technical error is returned.
When you try and edit your profile - a technical error. When you try and contact assistance - a technical error. You get the picture, the end result, no matter what you are trying to do on this app is - a technical error.
Have been waiting two weeks to hear back from the “specialised” department that are supposed to be helping me.
This could be a great app if the following didn’t happen
1/ having to keep signing in for some reason it keeps logging you out.
2/ don’t automatically connect you have to allow it
Would also be really helpful to have the option to lock unlock car or see status if vehicle is locked
I’ve had the Peugeot app for a number of years it worked fine except when updated it took a while to get back to its old self. But after this latest update most of the time the app will not load l have to reboot my phone and sign in again, I now have no old data, it has only registered 5 trips at the beginning of March apparently I’ve gone there but not returned or I have come back from somewhere I have not been, that is until the 26th then half a trip recorded. Don’t send out emails boasting about what this new app will do until you can get it to work first time EVERY TIME. Just had a response and asked to fill in a link, The first three boxes won’t let you enter anything so I filled in the next two clicked on the button and guess what first three boxes highlighted in red so you cannot move on. That’s something else that you haven’t got working correctly, l would have thought that app, questionnaires would have been tested and work on all formats computers, laptops, iPads, phones etc. I use an iPad not that it should matter. Looking forward to your response. It’s been a few months since I replied to you asking me to fill in a link (which did not work) and still no response, it looks to me as if you are not going to bother replying or even fixing the app, if you cannot fix it please have the courtesy to say so and not just say we’re looking into the problem as I think you have had enough time to try and sort something out. App still the same it doesn’t look like your going to do anything about it.I’ve read a few reviews and you seem to have two or three standard reply’s computer generated? At least have a human reply. I have just replaced my 2008 with with a new 2008 GT on 15/1/22 and connected my phone to the car it’s now 5/2/22 and the app has not worked this month yet and only worked for about 8 days on and off last month, I was hoping a new car the latest software (which I had to take back to the garage to update to the latest version)things would better but no nothing has changed and it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Pity because when it works it’s a good app.
As other users have reported, journey logging is hopeless. For there to be a chance of it working, you have to open the app before starting the car. Then, if you plug your phone in, to use car play, you have to make sure you unplug the phone and bring the app up before switching the car off. Even then, for me, only about 1 journey in 5 is recorded. Completely useless. This is on a brand spanking new car. There must be so many millions of Peugeot drivers out there (and I assume Citroen, DS and now Opel and Vauxhall are using the same technology) and journey logging doesn’t work? The charging section of the app works well enough, although it would be nice if it updated the state of charge every 15 minutes, say, so you don’t have to refresh it.
Not a bad app but still needs work. Do something with the bluetooth please. I’m giving permission to connect and record the journey every time. Make it happen automatically?
It is connected via bluetooth and the plug in the usb to go in car play mode. No! The car decides that it’s ok to stay connected with bluetooth. Who I am to think otherwise?
Update the maps or the system.
I have to download everything on a usb stick (maybe 30 minutes) which has to be at least 16gb and then start up the car, plug in the usb, keep the engine running in the driveway and wait there for an hour give or take. The car has build in wifi. Why not use it directly to my home router to download the update install it directly and make my life easier?
Least but not last, improve the app with car status. Did I lock it? Maybe I can check the app and find out but no. The journeys are not the most important thing on the app. Maybe car status with remote lock/unlock through the app would be nice. Think about it.
The app has many problems.
You can’t monitor charging most days, it just stays at zero and on days when it does refresh the data is wrong, if you refresh again the data is totally different.
There’s never, ever been close to the 41 mile range Peugot state is possible.
Petrol level has never shown accurate.
Even on buying the car they fitted the wrong onboard charger so limited to 3.1KWH.
The journey planner rarely transferred by Bluetooth and the trips, in 3 months have only recorded 7.
All in all it’s no use, I have to walk to the car and disturb the charge to monitor progress or take the estimate time on leaving vehivcle to move it from charging bay to avoid getting a ticket.
Disappointed just as when buying the car with wrong parts and 21 miles electric range, half what they claim. Was thinking buying the wife an E208 with 217 miles range but on real life this would work out 120 miles or so, assuming of course the car worked okay and fitted with parts they said they would fit.
Was offered a wall charger for £150 then 3 weeks later told I couldn’t have it, NA to plug in hybrids, yeah thanks.
This app is good for logging mileage but unfortunately it requires you to connect to the vehicle via blue tooth. If you want to use apple CarPlay for your navigation and/or music then the app doesn’t work. You can’t have your cake and eat it unfortunately. It can also kick you out of CarPlay which is very annoying when you are driving somewhere unfamiliar. It is such a shame as I would have found the app to be extremely useful, but since I need CarPlay for google maps on a daily basis the app is useless to me.
Please try to fix this Peugeot!!
Have a new e208 and this app is just so basic - a shame as the car is simply brilliant. The ONLY 2 useful things that works is turning on climate control and check charging status. Compared to say Tesla this app is in the dark ages.
Here are some examples.
1. Why do i have to confirm the Bluetooth connection everytime i connect via usb? Without this Apple car play will not work and it doesn't record the trip.
2. You can Search destination on app but cannot SEND to vehicle! You can save to favourites and then it will appear on car navigation
3. No wireless carplay. Even with wired carplay it randomly won't work and you have disconnect and reconnect the usb cable.
4. No Remote lock / check status. In fact no remote car control other than turning on remote charging and turn on climate control
5. The car has in car tomtom navigation app but I cannot link to my phone tomtom account so i can't sync my favourites / recent destination
6. To check latest battery charging status, the page for this in app doesnt auto update, i have to refresh the page - takes time - sends an omnious notification that charging is interrupted and then shows updated status and resumes charging
7. Last month it stopped recoginising my login, after many failed attempts, had to remove and reinstall app - lost record of all prev journeys
8. Doesnt readily show previous trips - quite convulated, impractical and generally useless feature
As an IT professional I can only assume they adopted the ‘write it, ship it’ policy and forgot the all important test and user interface for apple users. Oh dear where do I start Why does it keep asking me each time I drive to allow it to connect!! Do it automatically. If I miss it I get no stats That said I am lucky if it connects as it regularly hangs on start. Therefore I have to kill the app, open it again and then it usually works. When it does connect it works well, but it only get 3 stars because it only connects about 50% of the time Why cant I specify a switch off time for charging. My Mitsubishi has different programs for each day, take a look at what their hybrid offers
Brand new car would be nice if the serivce you signed up actually works. It looks nice to have but if don’t work why say it dose and no one know how’s to fix or get it working.
Update:- developer contacts me on the app review and advise me to raise issue via the contact us. I have already done this twice and last response I got was it will be forwarded to the team to correct but know one has come back to me. The connected services on the app never connects with the car so you cannot do pre heat or ac even with all the criteria with a few journeys and having the car charged above 20% you can request on app to do pre heating and the command will not upload to car.
Wonderful piece of engineering. So pleased with all it does and driving on long journeys a pleasure. Lumber system on driver’s seat a great help with a bad back. The 2 litre Diesel engine on country roads a good choice for me living in the sticks! I often only get up to 7th gear. Superb gearbox effortless with 8 automatic gears. When I come to change the car in 2021 I wonder what technology will deliver then with so much on this car it is difficult to imagine ? Faultless car with great service from Keith Price Abergavenny ranks with the best all round car I have ever had the pleasure of driving. Well done to all.
Like other reviewers I love my car 208e GT but the app is pretty much useless. For one it does not store my email and password (or allow it to be stored on my iPhone. So every time I plug it I to the car it asks me to allow connection but then requires me to enter password etc. this is annoying because I’ve just got in the car to go somewhere and don’t want to spend time fiddling with this process. It does the same when I try to open the app at home. It would be far simpler for it to just connect via some form of secure handshake or just allow faceID to access.
I am also unable to connect to my car to set up the air con. Despite the app telling me charge, location etc (which I assume means I am connected to the car) it wont let me set the air con, telling me the car is not connected. This happens elsewhere too.
Both issues render the app pretty much useless for me. I guess others don’t have these issues so maybe it’s just me but I’m pretty tech savvy.
Don’t bother with this app… When it works it’s great but unfortunately it’s so hit and miss whether it actually does anything it’s untrue. Will frequently fail to record journeys and to even stand a chance of it doing anything, you have to have the app open all the time you’re driving in the car and not touch it for anything else at all. Forget going to a drive through and using your phone to pay - it’ll just fail to record journey even if it was bothering to do it in the first place; forget connecting CarPlay, it won’t record journey. Forget using Siri to change music streaming, it won’t record journey. You get the idea! Have told Peugeot support but they don’t seem to be able to do anything to rectify this woeful app…
Really struggling with connectivity with the app. It worked really well in the beginning then just stopped. Not good. Had an app for my Vauxhall and could access data when I was abroad and my car parked up at home! Expected the same from this app. It falls short. And to be honest, the Vauxhall app was more than 5 years ago and in all the time I had the app, I have never experienced any problems with it at all! I think the developers for the Peugeot app fall very very short.
And please do not respond to me with your standard response that you have sent absolutely everyone. That link you ask people to complete has its own problems as well and it’ll just prove how incompetent you as developers actually are
This app in comparison to other car types is behind. You should be able to do a lot more from the app like you can with other makes. Since the new deployment the app is useless. Despite saying it’s paired with the car it does not record the trip. Why does it ask every time I start the car to allow the app access, this should be a setting allowing to happen if the user say that it’s ok. It’s a nightmare, you click allow and you get the load page and nothing happens. I have to shut the app down and start it again and it still does not work. The last update when it worked was 8 days ago and I use the car daily. Recently when I stopped and the engine switched off at the traffic light when it started again I was getting notifications to allow the app. The car was not off.. thanks
3008 GT Line 2018 model and using iPhone SE2020…..App doesn’t reliably record trips. Asks to connect to phone when car started , says connected in the app but randomly records only now and again. Last data in the app was from a week ago and many trips done since then.
Also I subscribe to Satnav maps, speed cams etc and the app is supposed to inform me when updates for my subscription services are available (along with touchscreen system updates) but I don’t trust it to do this and have no idea how to otherwise get my updates.
All in all a very disappointing app for such a high tech car.
Looking at all the poor reviews on this app, I just can’t imagine how developers could possibly expect people to put up with this app. It’s rubbish!
I’ve been using the app for the last 3 years since getting my 3008 and was great at first. Don’t know what you’ve done with these updates but the app is pretty much useless now. Always asks for permission to connect when you get into the car but it used to do this automatically. If the phone is in my pocket when I get in the car I won’t check my phone until the end of the journey so it’s not recorded my journey. Also it never works when launching the app each time. It just stays on the Peugeot logo screen but if you force close it and launch again then the app opens. It’s such a shame as the car is amazing but this app is shockingly bad. Do you guys not test this before releasing updates? I work in IT for a huge firm and if we released updates like this then someone would be fired. Please sort this out. From what I can see you just reply with a generic response to fill out a form. 😡😡
Not overly enamoured with this app. New to Peugeot from Land Rover and their app is a lot better. Takes ages to connect to the car and even then the information or location is usually out of date or it shows my position accurately but my car still at the beginning of my journey.
I don’t like the way the app forces itself open when you plug in sometimes multiple times.
CarPlay is buggy to say the least with big issues with both Audible and Waze requiring manual app restarts and USB disconnection/reconnections.
The only redeeming factor is the ability to pre-condition the car but only then you can only pre-condition to the last settings… talk about half a job!
There needs to be IFTTT integration too.
*update* the connectivity to my phone is now very slightly better since the most recent update, however it still misses out journeys. According to the app I have only driven my car 5 times in July (i have driven a lot more). A couple of years ago the app would of captured all the journeys in between connections and uploaded them. Please app developers read the reviews, and fix all the issues! *****
This app used to be really useful. It would log all the journeys that you took etc. Recently despite changing car the app now barely connects to my phone despite so much time sitting in my car trying to get it to connect. When the app does connect it misses out journeys. It is useful for letting you know when system updates are available, that’s about it.
Unfortunately you can’t give zero stars. Really bad performance and connectivity. I’ve been using the app, or rather trying to, since 2017. It used to connect via Bluetooth and update the car stats fairly regularly for about a year. But ever since, it fails to update via Bluetooth even though it states it’s connected to the vehicle. I’m using and iPhone X which is always updated to the latest iOS. Also, you cannot use the app whilst using Apple CarPlay. It also frequently stalls on the initial splash screen with the lion logo and will not open the app further. Really bad app in my opinion. Absolutely not point in developing and releasing an app if you are not going to support it competently and gets its basic functionality correct.
Where to start? It’s a great idea, but a lot of the basics of the car app are terrible. As others have pointed out, you need to resync/pair your device every time you get into car if you want to listen to music or receive/make calls. This also applies if you turn off the engine and start it again even when not left the car!!
Any update will force you eventually to delete the app, reinstall, and go through first time pair up and then resync again. I had to do this twice now. I have given up on updating the app or the satnav through it. It’s frustrating, time consuming, slow and cumbersome.
It’s very useful to see charging progress etc, but isn’t this one of the main features for a phone app designed to be used with an e car?!
I can see myself using the app to try and book a service once it’s due and I hopefully will get a friendly reminder. Time will tell . .
Please improve the app properly, so it requires on update that works and doesn’t need the user to go through painstakingly slow setup again.
I should have noted the overwhelmingly poor reviews of this app. However, I did download it because I liked the concept but have found, like many others, that it doesn’t update journeys and there are many other annoying buggy issues.
Have noticed as well with other negative reviews that someone, presumably from Peugeot, replies with a standard format reply asking for more information via a link but you never seem to see how the issue was resolved (if it ever was - with the large number of continuing poor reviews, I don’t think the app developers are offering an app acceptable customer service).
Developers, please don’t be lazy and reply to this with your standard reply, all we ask for is for the app to work properly (you surely have enough feedback by now to know it doesn’t) and for some decent support for the app. Thank you.
After many months of this APP not working or updating. A couple of days ago I decided to delete my vehicle from the APP and logged out which I have done previously. After logging back in and adding my vehicle it appears to be working again and correctly updated my journey and data.
Peugeot Customer Support did contact me regarding this problem requesting additional information, but hopefully this will not be necessary now as it’s working which I hope will continue as it’s such a useful APP.
This used to be a brilliant APP many months ago, very reliable in monitoring place’s travelled including costs. I have the Peugeot 2008 and the iPhone SE 2020, the phone is correctly connected to the car system by Bluetooth, the last time it connected was for a single short journey in April 2021. I have also updated the car software recently hoping that it would work correctly, but unfortunately this made no difference. I also uninstalled the APP and reconnected once again but without success. Such a shame that this APP is now not working as I really found it so useful.
It’s a good app with potential. It’s a little temperamental when trying to see the latest figures whilst the car is parked up and away from me. The journey log is now a real pain that I don’t even bother opening the app and accepting the data requests. It should just ask this once then get on with it. The app could also do so much more. It should be part of the alarm system so you can receive notifications if the alarm is triggered or the car is hit. Being able to look at diagnostics would be handy, such as battery level, temp etc. I’d also like it to refresh every time I open the app, not sit there showing data from a time earlier in the day. Apart from the above, it’s not bad.
I have an e-2008 GT for just over 6 months now and absolutely love the car. However to use some of the cars main features ie pre-conditioning of the cabin and charging information you need to use the app. The app works well 40% of the time be it extremely slow. Often you have to force close and reopen on launch as it just sticks on the logo screen (why). Sometimes it will randomly sign you out. Often it will fail to update charge status etc but give you no explication why. Often the charge status and pre-conditioning are out of sync. Or worst it will say forever it’s sending your command to pre-condition but never confirm it’s sent. To add more insult the car now tells me it’s for a service at four thousand odd miles when it’s not due till eight cause they have programmed the computer in KM and wrongly converted it to miles 😅😂 you honestly wouldn’t believe they’re one of the largest car manufacturers. I feel they have tried to imitate the best features of the Tesla app however they have not been successful in the implementation. 8/10 for effort, 0/10 for implementation. 100% recommend the car just sadly avoid the tech.
I’ve been using this app for months. I drive an e208 and use Apple CarPlay. They just don’t work together and the app constantly distracts the driver by asking to connect to the car.
The other issue is remotely monitoring when the car is charging so I can see how full the battery is when I leave the car at a charging station. This feature worked well on an earlier release, the latest release actually stops the car charging and today left me without enough charge to get home.
When trying to check state of charge on the app I’m given the spinning time symbol and then no update.
Therefore I cannot see my state of charge. When I went back to the car it was at the state of charge of the last successful check on the app.
The app has also been repeatedly asking me to sign in again, twice today, and wants my 4 digit passcode on a regular basis too.
We are not your beta testers. This app in it’s current version is very poor and hampers the ownership experience. I suggest you do some hard work and do it soon.
Another update has broken the app, last year I couldn’t log on for 3 months after an update, now the app connects to my car but no data ie mileage, journeys etc shows on the app, this worked fine until I updated the app.
Yet again Peugeot an issue with their software, this appears to be the norm with Peugeot after an update, my 3008 is three years old and I intend to purchase a new car this year, I was looking at a new 3008 as I love the car but these constant issues with their connected apps has as made me look at purchasing a new Kia and with their 7 year warranty are very attractive.
People including myself want connected apps so you can check Petrol, servicing etc while away from your car but it appears Peugeot have major issues in that area.
I have had the Peugeot app for around a year a up until I upgraded my phone, was reasonably happy with it. Since upgrading my phone, it’s even slower at connecting the vehicle to the phone, taking 2 to 3 attempts and has stopped recording my journeys. I have kept my App up to date and also my car software and mapping. The other annoying feature is that you can’t use Touch ID to log into the app when the App logs you out periodically. Please update the app and make it easier to connect to the vehicle and record journeys etc.
Works only half of the time, recording nothing for the other half, but often doesn’t name a destination, only gives a grid reference. Also, as someone else has mentioned, it displays nothing on the touchscreen. When you click the Peugeot icon it gives a message saying Why not download our app. I have. If you then refresh this screen you get a fleeting glimpse of a screen with lots of icons on it but in less than two seconds it goes back to the download message. Therefore, the only way of viewing info is via smartphone. Absolutely zero response from the tech department regarding this and Peugeot dealership is just as unhelpful. Could be great - sadly isn’t.
I put the following review on here on 28th November and you didn’t even bother to put the usual useless response.
It’s now 2 months later and nothing has changed, in fact if anything it’s worse. The app is still as useless as it was in November - not something you expect from what is supposed to be a reputable manufacturer
Come on Peugeot, you’ve brought your cars into the 21st century so isn’t it time your app did the same
“I’ve had this app since early 2017 when I bought one of the new 3008s. It was brilliant, never failed. I used the app regularly for the 3 years I had the car and it recorded every journey, my mpg, fuel costs, dates when the service is due and the map was always spot on when identifying where my car was.
Fast forward to March 2020 when I swapped my 3008 for a new 2008 and suddenly the app is a pile of crap. I don’t know what you have done to it but it never keeps up to date. According to the app I’ve done 2 journeys during November, on the 1st and 5th, and both do not show that I returned home. The map has no idea of the location of the car and the mileage is hundreds of miles out of date.
I’ve tried everything to get it to work properly but to no avail. I might as well remove the app altogether as it doesn’t give me any information at all.
Very disappointing considering it was perfect until I changed cars. Perhaps you just don’t like the new 2008s.”
Worked well for first year although it only collected data on trips from the car and pushed them through in bulk transfers. It then suddenly started logging itself out whilst in the car and would not log back in without WiFi. Then it kept freezing and had to uninstall it without being able to transfer the data so a years worth of information lost. After that had to reinstall it almost weekly as it kept freezing again and again and, although it said it was connected to the car, it refused to download all the trips, it just chose one or two trips and ignored others. As the Peugeot website is pushing you to use the app for all information it is completely pointless.
Probably the most frustrating app I’ve ever encountered. At best it occasionally has a run of working alternate journeys but on the whole it shows connected and does nothing. Sometimes it almost indicates the correct mileage but still shows the car parked 50 miles away with no recorded movement in between. It freezes and logs me out then rejects my password. I’ve discovered that when that happens changing language & signing in, signing out then back in having changed back to English will allow me to at least open the app and enjoy the full level of non functionality. Have tried contacting Peugeot tech support but after responding they were looking into things last year I’ve heard no more to subsequent messages.
In common with other reviews I find the app just does not work reliably. Journeys are not logged, the position of the car is wrong and so is the fuel level. The reason is probably that I use CarPlay based on what other reviewers have written. I have raised this as a customer complaint but, after providing all the requested information, the agent said he was going to escalate it to a manager. 7 weeks on no further contact and the original complaint has been marked as closed. So the only way to follow up is to raise a new complaint. The app has potential, although the MercedesMe one is better, but since it only works if you don't connect the phone with a cable (necessary both for CarPlay and charging on an iPhone 7) it is useless.
Down loaded app to phone and connected or linked to car.
Log in to app and access home page and it throws you out?
When you can get in there is no trip, no battery life, not battery management etc.
Then when you try and return to home page it kicks you out again this is a very poor app and has it been for the info in the car I am unsure how people manage.
My E330 BMW app showed me battery level, how much was charged whilst on charge remotely, allowed be to see average and battery use per mile full trip battery stats.
Peugeot Home page shows the car, I know what that looks likes, the location of the car? I know where that is I parked it there? And booking service stuff and maintenance.
Also hit and miss on the log in wrong password or email ?
In short a really poor and useless app I am unsure how it has got 4 out of 5 there must be many Peugeot employees being asked to submit good reports or no pay rise or fear of being sacked 🤣🤪.
If you have to down load down load but you are going to be disappointed.
Has so much potential but completely useless. Logs you out of the app all the time then says your password is incorrect - reset password and use new password and still says password is wrong! When you can log in it doesn’t update after each journey, it can go weeks without updating so makes many of the functions useless. such a shame as it could be so useful.
**Edit** Contacted customer support as requested and never heard anything back. Deleted app and reinstalled it and lost 6 months worth of data - what’s the point of having to log in if your data isn’t saved to your account? Completely useless and I’m angry that a company can be so incompetent and unable to address an issue that is clearly being reported by so many people. If I could give it 0 stars then I would, purely for its lack of use-ability and lack of reliability.
I would like to give this application more stars, because it was great when it was working. But sadly since few months it hasn’t been that great.
For the past few months it constantly logs me out on its own and it’s impossible to log in back again. When I’m logged out it doesn’t record trips. Bluetooth works fine by the way. The problem is that I can only log in when I’m at home and use my own Wi-Fi network. So if I’m at home I can open the app (log in if necessary) then drive and at the end of the trip it transfers the details of the trip to the app. But as soon as I leave the app it won’t open again or doesn’t let me log in again, saying incorrect name or password. It just won’t open again even if the mobile internet is at full strength of 4G and everything else works just fine. Subsequently it doesn’t record any return trips, and even if I log in again at home all the remaining details are lost.
There was no problem before, if occasionally app stopped working I was able to receive missing details at the end of the next trip. It is a nightmare now, and a great shame because I need it for work to record work trips. At the moment I can only record trips originating from my home, but not the return or anything between.
I tried reinstalling the app, and Bluetooth connections but still no luck. Please can you make it work again?
I can’t get into it at all. I could.
I downloaded the scanning app so I could get hold of the handbook. As soon as I did that my password stopped working. I’ve now spent a couple of hours, resetting it 4 or 5 times to try to get into the App.
First I reset it then tried to get to the App immediately but it told me my password was wrong - I did that three separate times with no success.
Then I thought I’d leave it for an hour before I tried to get in and maybe the internet was sluggish. Tried again - then again.
At the moment I can’t make phone calls from the car either - I downloaded the handbook to (amongst other things) see if there was some simple thing I’d missed which would make them show in the display, which is when my password stopped working!
I know it’s probably an over reaction - but this is a brand new car that I picked up the day before lockdown. II am sick of not being able to use it properly . . . And the App not letting me in now is the icing on the cake.
Only had the 3008 a few months. The car is amazing the Control App My Peugeot is less than useless
It now just crashes regardless of which IOS device I use.
There is no easy way to get support. I had Mitsubishi before and that was rock solid and feature rich.
Please get this sorted as I like the app for the electric side of the cars features.
I also get no Nav features on this. Very disappointed
Please note your very unhelpful response just makes it worse. I have reported the issue 3 times to customer service using the so called web form only to be told this should be fixed in a future release but we do not know when that will be. The case is then simply closed with no updates or progress. This is a very unhelpful response and a stock answer. It would be more suitable to give a time line for the update.
Recent update logged me out as usual but now when I try to login I am informed my password or email is incorrect. So I set out to reset my password - the app requests my email and 30 seconds later I get an email with a link to reset it. Set the new password successfully and back to the app - to be told that either my password or email are incorrect. 3 years of car data and the only access I have to map updates for the agreed 5 year term. Makes absolute no sense and really really frustrated by the lack of tech support, contact details or anything other than a broken process set to antagonise more than me!!!
** So deleting the app and reinstalling it resolves the login problem but all the car data is gone. Horrendous failure - really annoyed with you Peugeot and only for the need to use the app to get mapping links, it would be deleted and I’d never trust you with any of my data ever again!!! Absolutely shocking - take all the data I can provide and then introduce updates that deprive me of access to it and no published process to support me retrieve it. Really disappointed. Avoid!
Running this app with a e208 and this really should be a supplement to the car, but for some
reason Peugeot have made this the only way to manage the battery for the e208 Allure trim or below?!
However, the app is flakey. Most of the time it works, but sending commands to the car can be hit or miss with the app not being successful in sending the command even when the car hasn’t moved for several days and remains fully charged within a few meters of the phone running the app.
The battery status shown in the app can also register at 0% when the car is fully charged and hasn’t moved (we are in Covid 19 lockdown) - why??
Why can’t EV owners see the battery management of the car from the app? We want to see usage stats, set the charge limit of the battery and precondition the battery for cold weather driving (not just the cabin temperature).
If you’re going to make this app the primary method to manage the e208 Allure trim or below (ie not top of the range), then you MUST make sure the app works seamlessly ALL OF THE TIME and contains the functionality EV owners require to manage the battery. It’s not good enough to have basic battery management features built in the car of the GT Model and not to be present in the other trim levels and missing from this app but in the same breath making this app the primary method of managing the car.
Please don’t insult me and give your standard response. The My Peugeot app was quite good until about a few weeks ago, where upon it wasn’t recognising my logon details. I deleted the app losing 3 years of data, and on reinstall started working again. A week later it’s not recognising me again despite resetting my password, it’s not letting me in. During the last week, it has been asking for logon and password quite frequently. It’s now getting beyond a joke that it’s asking for these details virtually each time I open the app. And now it’s not even letting me in.
If a user has to “align the sun and the stars” to get the app working, you’re going to turn people off
Having driven only Peugeot’s since 1989, and potentially moving to an electric platform next, which I understand relies on this app, then I do not have confidence. Please restore mine and everyone else’s who are going through the same issues.
App was working great and was really useful but the app kept on shutting down and restarting the entire infotainment system after being plugged into CarPlay. You would get 30 seconds into a song and it shut it down again on a loop. This Resulted in me having to restart the phone and reconnect. Initially thought it was the Car that was the problem as it was happening on 2 different phones. Persisted for months and was infuriating Then i discovered it was this app when asking to share information. Deleting it has solved the problem. I was ready for taking the car back to the dealership! Until this bug has been fixed i won’t be re-downloading. Shame too
Been using this since June. Although it easily connects via Bluetooth it can have the odd, very annoying blip. Sometimes although showing as connected via the vehicle touchscreen and on the iPhone, it will not record any data. When it works it is great, but I have too many missing journeys to enable an accurate reading of data. The total miles traveled by the vehicle and the app are in disagreement therefore so is the mpg/mpl. Another annoying issue present since the initial pairing is the Applications section on the vehicle touchscreen. All that shows is Settings, when that is tapped the screen reads that it is downloading the application. Icons briefly flash, the message 100% download shows, then the screen reverts to a message saying to download the app and how useful it is.
App itself is great. Knocks socks off apps for other 'leading' car manufacturers HOWEVER, I have had an issues with the connection of the app to the car. It is like it has a mind of its own where it sometimes connects and sometimes doesn't. Now, from what I have been reading from the last update release notes, this issue was addressed in the update but if anything I would go far as to say that it has become slightly worse. Genuinely love the app as I am a numbers guy and it keeps me interested on the journies I have made and how much fuel each journey consumed etc but this issue with the connectivity needs to be seamless where it connects first time every time when the car is turned on rather than turning the car on and off numerous times for the app to connect.
***Update - thanks for the email asking me to report this through customer service. I’ve done this many times and been repeatedly told you’re aware of the issue! That’s great you’re aware and have been for some time but an actual fix would be great.*** When will there be an update to the app that fixes the bug that disconnects Bluetooth when you plug your smartphone into the car to allow CarPlay functionality? You’ve updated the App recently but this bug has never been fixed. You acknowledge there is a bug/issue but an update on when this will be fixed would be appreciated. It’s pointless using the App as I use CarPlay and it’s also frustrating that you have to connect it with Bluetooth, wait until it shows connected, then when you plug it into USB for CarPlay functionality, it disconnects the Bluetooth function and journey isn’t logged. The workaround is when you arrive at your destination, unplug smartphone from USB cable, let it reconnect to Bluetooth and then turn the car off and it’s acknowledges the journey. So when will this finally be fixed?
The app works fairly well when not using CarPlay. But since I want to use CarPlay every time I drive then I am going to have to uninstall the app. Even if I don’t have the app open, about 5-15 minutes into the drive my CarPlay quits and a message appears on iPhone: “MyPeugeot would like to communicate with the BT_Peugeot”. The only way to get CarPlay back on the touchscreen is to unplug the lead from the phone and plug it back in, which is distracting, dangerous and illegal now that we can’t be touching phones while driving. I’ve messaged customer care since there was no other way to contact App developer, contrary to the app bio, and they confirmed that you cannot use both CarPlay with a lead and MyPeugeot app via Bluetooth as the may interfere with each other, which they clearly do for me. They did say that they hope it will be fixed with a new upgrade of the app but no time frame attached as to when that may be. So sadly for now, the only way to preserve using CarPlay 24/7, despite it has its own issues, is to delete the MyPeugeot app until I can see that they have a new version that works with CarPlay. It’s a shame because I think it information is really useful.
How can I sum it up. I bought the Peugeot 3008 and I didn’t even know the Peugeot app existed. My car dealer told me about the app when I picked my car up. To be honest I just thought oh yeah it won’t be good. Well if I had a hat to eat I would so all I can do is eat my words. The app is very informative from telling you how long you have driven to telling you what the consumption was on that trip. It tells you what the symbols mean on the dash should any of them come on. Can tell you where the cheapest petrol station, and I’m also told that if you pay for something at the dealership it can also be used as a tracker.
I have a VW app as I have a transporter van and being honest Peugeot knocks spots off it. In all fairness the VW app isn’t even in the same league as this.
I have to admit the Peugeot giant has finally awoken and I do believe they can give some of the German manufactures a run for there money. Honestly Peugeot stay with what you are doing please don’t change anything from the cars to the app.
