Not suitable
Many may had found this app for safari yes but a large majority of people need an ad blocker that stops ads as a majority in any app in general. It is an essential thing to have as it it annoying to have so deal with ads in an app. I do not recommend buying this app as it is “good” but exactly equal to an app you would find for free on the App Store.

Pointless
Waste of money the whole 75p I watch a lot of football streams and when I go on my preferred websites they ask me to turn my ad blocker off as they make money off it which is fair enough but I can’t access the site unless I turn the ad blocker off which defeats the point of me buying this app and also when I use this app it slows my phone down considerably don’t bother!!!!

Blocked picture and comment section on several websites
I always thought the constant loading comment section/not displaying pictures were safari’s cache problem since updated to iOS 11, finally found the culprit today! Won’t be using it anymore, will stick to other apps.

I liked the previous versions and I like this better.
If you decide you do not want to block all ads you can choose to use one of the whitelist options in app settings.
You do not have to use a whitelist at all, but if you do the options controlling whitelisted ads are very flexible and very simple to set.

Adding any site to whitelist causes empty spaces
Adding a site to whitelist causes empty spaces (where ads go) on all other sites. Please fix as whitelist is unusable now if I have to sacrifice all other sites displaying white blocks of empty space

Recent iOS updates have resulted in Crystal no longer working. A complete waste - far better ad blockers available, that actually do what they're supposed to.

Really Pretty Good
i should start by saying it would be worth 4.5 stars or 88% if you prefer percentage ratings but i'm quite harsh and think 5 stars is 100% perfect.
I think this is the best ad block app on the iphone because it does more than just block adds. it consumes less data and works faster when enabled. i don't even know how that works surely more code = more slow down but i guess it doesn't need to load ads. anyway i'm getting off topic the developer also added features to black list websites to stop them being suggested, show up in search and i assume cached and a white list which allows you to essentially favourite websites which it will prioritise.
there is also a feature allowing you to tell the developer a website has ads that aren't blocked which allows you to help keep the app updated and improve it overall.
in conclusion this app is worth the £1.49 you will have it running passively without really knowing and may forget about it but it will be working to stop pop ups and reduce your data and loading speeds.

It's fire and forget
Install Crystal and forget about it and it'll just do its job I use it in tandem with Ad Block Plus for belt and braces - they still can remove all ads but they sure trim down on the worst offences

Fails to block adverts since update.
I've used this application since it was first released and never had a problem (or an advert), since the last update to allow non-intrusive ads I can no longer get rid of Google ads. Even after turning off allow non-intrusive ads. An ad blocker that doesn't block ads is pointless. I've installed ad block plus and guess what? It blocks ads! Cya.

Works like a charm. Acceptable Ads are OPTIONAL and blacklist frequently updated!
I've used this since it first came out and I've always been impressed with how well it blocks ads.
Yes the default setting is now to allow "Acceptable Ads" but it's SO easy to switch this off, so it really doesn't deserve 1* reviews.
This is well worth downloading!!

One of my favourite adblockers on iOS. I love how it removes the space left behind by ads too, some other apps leave websites cluttered with blank space.

Trustworthy?
Take care! I paid for the app, only to then find out (e.g. from the Verge) that the developer is accepting payment for letting ads through. He claims in his blog that there will be an opt out, but he's got a clear conflict of interest now that money is involved. I don't trust him and would not have bought the app had I known.

Works great and closes blanked ad space
Unlike some other reviewers, I find Crystal continues to work really well. And, as at Sep 2016, it still does a brilliant job for me. I've tried other Safari ad blockers and none, to date, is as good as this one.
An added bonus is that Crystal seems to close up the blank spaces left where blocked adverts would have been, so I never even need to know they were there. Other ad blockers just seem to leave the blank area in place, which I find rather annoying.
Not sure why others are having problems with too many ads still appearing; here, I just get the pages I want, with virtually no or completely no ads at all.

I'm noticing MORE tracking and personalised ads with this installed. I have everything turned on but it's as though it isn't there.

This app does NOT give add free surfing.
When I 1st bought this app it was great. THEN, the app developers did a deal with the devil and basically the app is pointless as 90%of adds now get through. This is due to the advertisers paying to be "whitelisted". This means they bribe the developer of the app to allow their adds through. So the developer is not only taking your hard earned cash for a service don't provide, it's getting paid a lot of money from advertiser for a service it obviously is providing. AND THATS NOT BLOCKING ADS FOR THEM.

Allows almost all advertising through
The app is a waste of time. Allows so many ads through now that it's difficult to tell the difference between having it enabled or disabled.
Know that advertisers can pay for crystal to allow them through. Judging by recent experience almost everyone has paid to be allowed through.

I used the app for a while and it worked really well. Now it doesn't, lots of ads coming through on many sites so it doesn't do what it is designed to. File alongside the waterproof tea bag and buy something else

Gone badly downhill, there's better alternatives.
I've been using Crystal since the day it was released and until recently liked it. But over the past few weeks I've been noticing more and more ads creeping through when I'm browsing.
I've always kept the app up to date so that's not the issue. Decided to try 1Blocker out of curiosity as a comparison and it's by far and away the better app. Even by default it blocks significantly more adverts and it's hugely customizable. (No, I'm not affiliated in any way with that app.)
Crystal has been uninstalled and I'll never use it again. I hope for the sake of any customers who remain with Crystal, that it drastically improves sooner than later.

Avoid this Scam
After taking money from users for an ad-blocking service the developer then goes to companies and takes money for their ads to be shown, even though the users have just paid precisely for that NOT to happen! This app should be banned from the App Store because it is little more than a scam. Now I have to pay again for an ad blocker that actually works rather than shows me tons of ads which make the greedy developer even richer.

Fantastic!
Adblocking is a major update to iOS. This one works extremely well blocking the annoying ads that slow sites down. I have definitely noticed a significant speed increase while using Safari.
