Excellent app and exactly what I needed to quickly see and control my Sonos speakers. I had a little trouble figuring out where to add it into my quick access centre (at the bottom bubble rather than the plus sign at the top) but once I figured it out it works great and no issues. I highly recommend this.

Sonobit is the most feature-packed remote widget for Sonos on the market. You don’t even have to unlock your iPhone/iPad to access advanced features like group control and ”Pause All”. Just swipe to the right on the Home screen or the Lock screen of your iPhone/iPad to access the widget.
Sonobit also runs on your Apple Watch! It gives you the full set of media buttons and shows the currently playing song and album art.
List of features:
- Full support for IKEA SYMFONISK speakers
- Either run Sonobit as a collapsed, minimalistic widget or an expanded, full-featured widget
- Control groups of speakers
- Pause all your Sonos speakers with just one tap
- Toggle repeat and shuffle
- Play/pause, skip tracks, adjust volume and mute
- View the currently playing song and album art
- Hold your finger on volume down to mute and on volume up to unmute in collapsed state
- Launch the official Sonos app by tapping the album art
- Available in English, German and Swedish
No setup is required! Sonobit automatically detects all your Sonos devices instantly. That also means that if you’re on a friend’s Wi-Fi, Sonobit will automatically reconfigure itself and connect to your friend’s Sonos system!
Don’t know how to add a widget like Sonobit? - It’s a piece of cake:
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and then right.
2. Scroll down and tap Edit.
3. Tap the plus sign next to the Sonobit widget.
4. Pull it to the top of the list for easy access.

In rare cases, Sonobit is unable to automatically discover Sonos devices. This may be because UPnP is not enabled on your router. If Sonobit says "No Sonos system available", you can manually add your Sonos devices. Start the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad and tap Sonobit. Follow the instructions there for adding your devices and finish by launching the Sonobit iPhone/iPad app once for the settings to take effect.

Didn’t work initially then after great help from Tom and a touch of RTFM and follow the instructions from yours truly it sprang to life, working as advertised - thanks Tom
Wanted Sonos control for Apple Watch.
Didn’t work initially as wouldn’t connect to my system. With quick support, managed to get working, but had to manually input all my speakers, which was a pain as I have quite a few.
But overall seems a good app and works fine. Just have to remember to reach for my watch and not my phone now!
Bought this as I found it annoying and strange that Sonos didn’t have a watch or lock screen control for the system I just bought. I then read up on lock screen controls and found out it was something that used to be there, then disappeared. And someone recommended having a look at Sonosbit. So far I’m glad I did. Apple Watch controls worked perfectly, as did iPhone and iPad widgets, without any set up or fiddling. I read the 1* reviews before I bought (but how much of a risk is £2.99) but worked perfectly for me from download. As I say in the title, so far, so good. If it just keeps working as it does, I’d definitely recommend.
For some reason tunein radio stations started within the sonos app don’t pull through to the widget correctly....
It shows as an error.
Seems like the app is buggy
I’ve been frustrated for a while that I can’t control my Sonos systems from my Apple Watch (I have no idea why Sonos themselves don’t have a watch app) but the Sonobit app offers control from the watch plus a useful iPhone widget.
The app doesn’t work at my iPhone Xs
Complete waste of time and money. Bought to use my Apple Watch with my Sonos but the app never connects to my system, on either phone or watch, and just says it's trying to until I give up and open the actual Sonos app...
Great app that fills the void of Sonos’s own app
I’m referring to Apple Watch support
This app allows me to control Sonos soundbar volume direct from my watch
Well worth the purchase
Apple should grow up & allow Sonos back on lock screens. Meanwhile this is a great work around. I did have an issue with the watch not working as it should but a very responsive help line (email) resolved the issue - just a reload & reboot. Thanks
Well I can control my Sonos with limited functionality but the sonos app is much better. As for my Apple Watch it simply doesn’t work. Emailed the developer but no response. Don’t waste your money.
So easy to set up and worked instantly I don’t understand all the bad complaints, worked flawlessly exactly as it said it would
Utterly useless. Feel ripped off even though it’s only £2.99. It’s actually worse than useless. The music in each room is not synchronised. Don’t waste your money.
Great little app - neat interface and works seamlessly with my Sonos system from first startup. Had a little trouble installing the watch app, but restarting the watch sorted that out.
Don’t install on Apple Watch 4, constantly egg timing.
This is a really useful app that fills the void left by Sonos’ bizarre decision to stop their own app showing on the iPhone lock screen / using the side buttons. It’s particularly good on the Apple Watch.
Ignore those whinging about it updating and then not working - I emailed the developer late on a Saturday evening when mine stopped working. I got a reply within an hour and, a few minutes later, it was up and running again. Great customer service!
The last 2 rounds of updates have meant the watch app, which was the only reason for purchase just doesn’t work.
I have left it to see if new software for iOS and sonosbit make things better.
Today the app now plays music in the wrong room from watch and no ability to change rooms.
Refunds should be issued.
Does not find by sonos system annoying
Doesn’t work a delay of several minutes before doing anything and pause does nothing. Advertised for £2.99 and I have been charged £8.48 not happy
I don’t often leave reviews but I loved this app when it worked properly ; phone, iPad and watch seamless.....but it doesn’t work now. Disappointed
The widget is fine, but the USP for this would have been the watch controller for sonos. Which almost never works. :-(
The widget works well and so far has been reliable. The companion watch app is useless, hardly ever works.
Unresponsive, annoying, random and frustrating app. Do not waste your money!
Complete crap, don't waste your money!!
This version is rubbish!!! Only works sometimes on the Apple Watch and is constantly behind the actual track being played!!! I can't wait til Sonos bring out a realiable version of this app!! Frankly this one is not fit for purpose!!
There is no longer a working room setting, so you can not adjust individual rooms volume on either the iphone or Watch app!!! Better off just keeping the free Sonos app!!!
When the last apple update was loaded this app stopped working on the iphone and disappeared from the Apple Watch!!! Needs to be overhauled!!
Revised my 5 star rating. This app now constantly says unable to load. Reinstalled, works for a few minutes and then hangs again. Cannot recommend any more.
After the last update, the application became unusable
Will not work with a Sonos bridge. Have emailed developers twice requesting how to set up, if at all possible, no response received.
I'm sure it works without a bridge as per the other reviews.
The app is great and therApple watch app is first class The support from the developers cannot be faulted shame more are not like them.
Yes i had a problem with the install but all was fixed within 24 hours through email and aslo a follow up checking that the problem had been solved
Well worth the money.
This is the only good Sonos controller for Apple Watch that I've found that's built making use of the newer Watch OS feature.
It means that this app loads fast and is responsive which is what you want in a remote control. Hopefully in the future there will be a complication too
Looked fine in notification centre before. App logo now takes up an unnecessary amount of space now in expanded view. Now use another app
This app is absolutely brilliant and is just what I have been looking for. Works with my first generation Apple Watch, running ISO 3 and gives me total control of my Sonos Play 1 system. GREAT WORK.....
Works fine with iPhone ios10 but very intimidant, long delay or no response at all when used on watch
Tom, loved this widget, worked fine until the new update but has since stopped working for me. Was brilliant beforehand though! Please remedy...
I bought this to mainly use on my Apple Watch series 2 and it sometimes responds to a command and sometimes it doesn't. What a waste of my time and money. Be warned!
Had this app on both my iPhone and watch and it was really useful and worked really well. Now it's completely unresponsive and is useless. Tried reinstalling with no success. Shame.
That's it, just brilliant. Glad someone filled the void Sonos left.
Awful, a lot of issues, not recommended
Fast and efficient - what more could I want? Well, maybe a single play/pause toggle rather than two separate buttons. But it appears that this will slow the app response time, so I'll live with it. Good work!
Although it pops up on my watch and shows what's playing. It's dead. Buttons don't work. If it worked it'd be good.
I have to give it up to this developer. With every update this app just keeps getting better. Full marks.
This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review for an app. The developers of this app deserve nothing less than to have their praises sung. I have been looking for this functionality for ages and now here it is perfectly executed, simple to setup and a joy to use. Maybe the developer of this app should be made the CTO of Sonos.
I use my SONOS system all day, and just found out about this. It is a brilliant widget and something I wish SONOS had implemented themselves.
great on iphone, tried this on two watches running os2 and seems to struggle with basic key inputs, can only get it to work to control volume.
This is a good app that simply works. Because it is actually a widget you can get to the Sonos controls so quickly - great when you want to quickly pause or lower the volume. Even the watch widget works well although sometimes a little slower as expected. The only improvement I can see is to double the amount of steps at the lower end of the volume control (log scale) as it is at the lower end when more sensitivity is required. But all in all a great app and my choice over the play one.
Great add on that sonos haven't released yet, works well but no artwork showing at the minute otherwise would have been 5 star.
Doesn't display properly on the iWatch. You actually see code!!
All developers take note. Quick and simple. Great little addition to Sonos and means I now have music without having to unlock my phone , open the app, press play. This makes it so much easier. Thank you :-)
Great little app thank you, Sonos should have included this quick basic control as standard
Great app to be able to quickly switch your Sonos system off quickly when walking out the door.
Enables you to access controls via the swipe down 'Today' view.
The volume controls are poor - seems to either put the device on mute or on far too loud.
When playing radio, it scrolls the name of the station, but also scrolls what looks like a long coded message.
If you have a number of Sonos systems, it struggles to space them so you can see each room. No way of seeing which speakers are grouped.
Not tried on Apple Watch.
Overall - a good idea, but certainly not worth £2.50
Does exactly what I want it to do. Song title and play and volume controls in the Widget, song title in the Apple Watch Glance and play and volume controls in the Watch app. Very pleased with this app and a 5 star recommendation.
