I use this for client meeting notes, which I dictate and email to me PA shortly after the meetings. It has certainly improved both the length and quality of my notes.
Bad points: it struggles with quite a few words and I’m told I speak very clearly. Interestingly, shouting at it seems to improve things but this might cause difficulties if you have an open plan office!

Purchased this through the app. However no way to log in. Can't get support as no log in details! I'm sure it's a great app (I love dragon desktop), but if you purchase through the app, there is no way to log in.
I get the feeling Nuance have invested heavily in skilled voice recognition engineers, but nothing in usability. It's like using software from 15 years ago!! (It took my IT team half an hour to install Dragon v15 recently - and lots of swearing!).
As I can't log in I have clearly canceled my subscription. Shame, as it's probably quite good.

I have been using dragon dictate medical for the mac for aBOUT 3 years. Whilst it has saved me a small fortune in secretarial bills, it has been buggy and frustrating. Having noticed that the Mac OS version has been dropped I thought I would try this option and have been astounded by the improvements. It is not perfect so:
The bad:
1) very American - you have to remember to say “period” not stop.
2) setup - when I tried to set up through the app I received an error message along the lines of my ITunes account could not authorise purchases- easy fix, register through the nuance website and then sign in on the device - sorted.
3) My hospital WiFi does not alow communication to the server to train words.
4) formatting is not always identical to MS word
The good:
1) I have just dictated an entire orthopaedic clinic at a much improved accuracy - no training required
2) Custom words - easy to set up and train with synchronisation across devices
3) Integrates very well with iPad Pro and keyboard
4) Seamless saving to Dropbox
5) auto text - allows the creation of regularly used phrases / paragraphs - that can be triggered by a set phrase - Brilliant
All in all - very impressed. I think the negative reviews here are largely left by people new to digital dictation. I spent the last hour of my day demonstrating the system to others.
Don’t buy as this version is faulty.

The current version is faulty as it charges you for a subscription and allows you to set up a log in within the app but before you can dictate it asks for your Apple ID to check the subscription. The problem is that you enter this and it doesn’t recognise it even though it’s correct. You can therefore not progress any further and it doesn’t work. Even uninstalling and reinstalling the app doesn’t help. And there the apple App Store can’t help either.

This is a fantastic app for people who have any difficulty typing on iPhones or iPads. It is intuitive and virtually error free. Having used dictation software for years as I don’t touch type, I am familiar with both the positives and negatives and this app is so helpful I use it all the time. I would have given five stars except there are occasional glitches in logging on, resetting passwords et cetera.
Go ahead and try it! You will never look back.

It works just about ok but for the price there are too many bugs- the most frustrating is when it doesn’t recognise the apple account to activate it so each time I get a warning screen and have to log in again. I contacted Nuance and they said because I bought it through ITunes it’s not their problem!

I’ve been using this for about a fortnight now. Dictation is much less frustrating than Siri because of correction features. When it works it’s great, if not as sophisticated as the desktop version.
But the bugs! The password reset facility has reported a ‘temporary technical error’ for over a week now, so I am currently locked out of the product (no online support - just a weekday phone number in the uk). Twice the app has suddenly and spontaneously deleted the document I was dictating, even though the app autosaves as you dictate and there’s no delete facility on the dictation screen (so it wasn’t user error). These are fundamental bugs: not glitches - I’m slightly shocked.
I want this to work because it’s a good product and I want to carry on using it - but I may be driven away.

I used Dragon dictation for ages before upgrading to an iPad Pro and losing Dragon Dictation thanks to IOS updates. This was incredibly frustrating as Dragon dictation allows me to create word documents without having to stare at a screen the way I would do when typing. After a while I finally decided to try Dragon anywhere and barring some interesting pronunciation errors and the inability to see dictations on the apps on both my phone and my iPad I’ve actually found it really easy to use and I’m very pleased with it at the moment. Adding connectivity between apps on the same account/ subscription would be amazing but so far Dragon anywhere has really helped me dictate my novel.
PS. I just need to figure out how to add speech marks!

Dragon anywhere has made report writing a doddle for me. I wish I had used it earlier. Not only does it help me finish my work quickly, it helps me even more in the afternoon when I’m tired and really not in the mood for typing long reports . Now when I am too tired to write reports after seeing patients all day, I can just close my eyes I think about what I need to write, and dictate. Dragon anywhere gets it right 99% of the time. For me this is invaluable. I’m currently on the free trial period and will definitely be subscribing. Thank you to all the people who helped develop such a wonderful app.

Frustrating to use, got lots of words wrong and missed the beginning of words, was using a high quality Bluetooth headset mic as well.
Then it charged me 10.99 for the subscription because i was one day late cancelling after the 1 week trial was up. (Only used it for 20 mins total)
Stick with the desktop version?

I am astonished by the low average ratings for this app and would urge anybody serious to try it. I have been following speech recognition including the Dragon computer apps for nearly 20 years and this app is the best ever. I discovered it two weeks ago (how did I miss it before?) and as a practising accountant I must've used it nearly 100 times in the last two weeks. Most of my work is dictating replies to emails which easily can be emailed to me and copied into the reply. I have also made extensive file notes following meetings and brief notes for sending length text messages et cetera. Speech recognition is virtually perfect – probably 99% without any technical words and the benefit of this system (compared to Siri et cetera) that you can easily personalise your dictionary adding special names technical phrases etc. I love it please please try the seven day free trial you love it! Naturally I dictated this. To this point is over 150 words probably dictated at over 90 words per minute and there were actually two recognition errors (probably due to my lazy speaking) which were very easily corrected. Must have app for any business person!

In a world where there are simple single sign-on solutions, using a plethora of social media logins. This app not only requires you to login with an old school email and password confirmation, but the login does not even work! I have tried Peterlee to register an account, to try to reset a password, to cancel the whole thing try again with a different email address, In fact just to use log into the app in the normal way with every single in the entire world use it. Failure. When you go to the support, you cannot login unless you have an account. You can only get an account if this system works. The only other way to contact them is by ringing some American telephone number. Why would I want to do that? I'm in Europe. Paragraph there is no chat system, there is no form, there is no discussion forum. Frankly, I'm not surprised, as my experience of Dragon/Nuance has always been appalling. I was hoping they might have changed. Obviously not.

I have downloaded this app today to aid me in completing a few projects and assignments.
I have so far, after a fair few hours, still not managed to correctly produce TWO sentences of simple text!
I have entered words into the memory to “train the app” but that has not made even the slightest difference!
I downloaded a free dictation app and tried that, and I am ecstatic to say that it is outperforming dragon by a country mile!
£10.99 per month is an extremely expensive fee for an app that does not eve; function on a base level...
My advice? Don’t waste your money on this rubbish, and try the free apps on offer...they seem to be much better!

I didn’t even try the previous version because the reviews were so bad. However, I’ve now been using the latest version for five days and so far it’s very impressive. Dictation accuracy is good (much better than Siri!) And the ability to edit text using voice commands works very well. You can set up your own custom dictionary for specialist words. Basically, it just works. The one drawback is you have to dictate into the Dragon app, And then transfer text from there to whichever app you are working in.

Unable to recover previous account - continuously ‘unable to reach server’. Unable to register NEW account - goes through iTunes purchase, takes my money then hangs before creating account because, yes, unable to reach server. All day. For a week. Go to their site for help and it’s stuck with a pop up asking me to choose country - that just reloads every time. Would give 0 stars if possible, for appalling onboarding and support. Can’t tell if product actually works.

I wish this was better than it is. It has such potential and having the ability to edit long sections of text is very useful. But it lacks so many features compared to the desktop version, doesn’t support Bluetooth headsets for some unfathomable reason, is buggy with poor customer support (even the website links often don’t work), and costs a fortune.
Absolutely space-cadet view of cost. Totally unrealistic.

Overpriced, repeatedly crashes, functions missing/do not work. Also, customer service was profoundly useless. It took two weeks for them to agree that it should work but does not (!) with no actual help yet they still charge an expensive monthly subscription despite most functions missing.
Would not recommend as it's beyond frustrating: Linking Evernote with the app does not work; linking with dropbox means it will crash repeatedly as per other reviewers. It also it has a habit of selecting everything, deleting it all and then failing undo/redo. Due to severe disability I am forced to use this erratic and predominantly useless app while in the search for a functioning replacement but I do not recommend it.

I use this app all day, every day on my iPhone 7. It's never crashed, is very accurate (about 99% if you speak clearly) and I couldn't live without it. £150 or so per year is fabulous value, considering the difference it's made to my efficiency and business. It's so good, I just couldn't live without it now. Full marks Nuance, well done!

This is a good app conceptually. But it crashes uploading to dbox. Charges are crippling, and yet it's a joke the whole app catastrophically crashing.. repeatedly !!!?? They may as well raid my bank account. It's just not acceptable. Apple, surely there's a law against taking from customers, without reasonably delivering in return? Nuance - this is a FATAL crashing too. I've relinked Dropbox, tried to connect from fresh, but same impasse. There should be NO debits with a service this broken !!!

I have used Nuance and Dragon products for many years and have found them very helpful in my business. I have just upgraded my software to Dragon Professional Individual v15 at a considerable cost. Whilst I am in the process of trying out the mobile application it does seem to me that that over £10 per month this is extremely expensive to existing users who, like I,have invested substantially in the main product. Surely Nuance should be offering this product to existing customers at a substantially discounted rate, if not free of charge.
I do look forward to hearing from them!

I think this has a great promise as a valuable tool. However I think it is grossly overpriced at the current functionality. I am trying it out on the iPad and I have the MS Word app installed. Some of the commands which I found on saying "what can I say?" have not been working for me. I haven't been able to change the font size. I tried the "open in MSWord" command and was told that I didn't have the app installed which isn't the case. For this to be worth the subscription, these formatting commands are very important.
