Good but could be better

Can you kindly allow us to disable the automatic sync each time. It’s so painful when the pop up appears when you open the app and it’s frozen till it completes which isn’t quick. If there is a change, we get a notification so for you to keep checking for updates is annoying and making us wait. In addition automatic sync is disabled in settings but it still syncs when the app is run!

DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!Doesn’t work with new eCrew. App, no longer useful for uploading rosters, and customer service don’t care. Even emailing them for manual uploads does t work.

My company has moved to the other CAE app, the woefully TERRIBLE Crew Access. Despite being developed from the same company as RosterBuster, the sync between both apps is now totally broken, rendering RosterBuster utterly useless.

I’m fed up of writing to support.

The airline I work for has recently moved to using CAE’s Crew Access app. That app is a complete joke but very much another story.

Sadly, the RB app seems to be Classic CAE and just doesn’t do what it says it’s doing. It’s an embarrassment that this is actually a subscription based app and that people pay for it!!

Always enjoyed using the App and its accessibility. Recently had a minor hiccup where changes wouldn’t refresh…but after sending support an email the problem was resolved inside 20hrs with full updates and progress reports along the way!

App doesn’t work properly

App keeps logging me out of my TUI roster daily, it’s really annoying. Takes time to log in, sometimes twice as the same time. It’s especially useless when I’m on the plane and the RB decides to log out again. With no mobile reception on the aircraft I can not log back in, so I have to keep paper copy of my roster on me as this is unreliable.

What a shockingly poor app.

You’re forced to update, then the the app introduces even more bugs… seriously, does no-one test this app properly before release? Constantly having to log out and in (several times per day), unable to load roster changes, then once they do load (after several attempts) it then takes several attempts to be able to accept them! A very buggy and flawed app. Not to mention the incessant loading every time you open the app - you get to the date you were looking for, then it defaults back to today’s date again… why can’t roster loading happen in the background?! Fed up with all these constant issues.

Took premium payment without the access

Used roster buster for many a years but has been non stop issues. Last year every time I wanted to update my roster I had to delete the app and re download it to get it to work & Zero help from customer support. That bug seems to have been rectified but now took my repeat premium membership but been downgraded to basic. Messaged, emailed with no response now opening up a dispute with PayPal. After all these years it’s time to look for a new app !!

Renewed as my wife and mum use this app to see my roster. I find the app not very user friendly. When I came to my renewal, they took the subscription but did not activate premium!! Contacted their customer services who ignored me repeatedly. Thankfully Apple refunded the yearly subscription. Avoid!!! Plenty of other good apps available.

App support is now poor

The level of support for this app has become really poor. No response for 2 weeks. Not good enough. The app used to be superb and the support team were really on it! Now, it doesn’t meet my needs as crew. The download of my duty roster is now full of mistakes. The calendar subscription is not worth the £24.99 per year. I’ll likely not use the paid version again. Shame after more than 10 years, I was loyal to this app, but sadly it is not what it used to be.

Have used this app for years and it used to work great with icalender pushing to families iphones and ipads.

Now however it only synchs weekly,and all roster that you change manually do not push into ical.

I am writing this review to express my deep frustration and disappointment with RosterBuster and their appalling customer support experience. For two long months, I have been dealing with an unresolved issue regarding my outdated roster, and I must say that their lack of action and unresponsiveness are completely unacceptable.

After encountering problems with my roster, I followed the proper procedures and contacted RosterBuster's support team. They assured me that my issue had been escalated and that it would be promptly resolved. However, much to my dismay, this turned out to be nothing more than empty promises.

Despite repeated attempts to reach out to their escalation team, I have never once received a response. It is beyond frustrating to be constantly met with silence, especially when my work schedule is at stake. RosterBuster's inability to address my concerns in a timely manner has left me feeling utterly helpless and undervalued as a paying customer.

What is even more frustrating is that, throughout this ordeal, the support team has only provided me with excuses, painting a picture of incompetence rather than a resolution-driven organisation. Repeatedly being told that they are working on it without any tangible progress simply adds insult to injury.

As a result of their negligence and lack of urgency, I now find myself without an up-to-date roster, which has caused me significant inconvenience and stress. It is disheartening to witness a company prioritise efficiency and convenience in the aviation industry only to fall short on the very support system they claim to have in place.

RosterBuster's insincere promises and failure to deliver an acceptable resolution have left me with no choice but to express my dissatisfaction through this negative review. I sincerely hope that they make significant improvements to their support services and prioritise the concerns of their customers in the future.

In conclusion, I urge potential users to think twice before relying on RosterBuster for their roster management needs. It seems that their support is more focused on making empty gestures rather than providing genuine assistance.

Shocking customer service/app support from the developers. Although I’m paying for a premium subscription, the app doesn’t seem to update itself once payment has been taken. Constantly given the same repeated error message and unable to use the premium subscription membership. I’ve been liaising with support who have stopped responding to my emails. Issues with app, Roster buster not helping

Signed up for the free week which turns into the yearly subscription. Had the premium features for a week then the yearly subscription came through and the money came out my bank account but my app is still the free version! So I’ve paid for premium but have only got the free version!! I’ve tried signing in and out and deleting the app and re installing it but nothing. I’ve tried emailing roster buster and FB messaging them but nothing!

Lots of bugs and Google calendar export issue

Keeps duplicating duties on the Google calendar and repeating erroneous duties every day. Tried contacting RosterBuster but getting no response for weeks at an end and then just get an email about unsubscribe the calendar and reinstall it. Appalling Customer Support

Do not purchase this app, the customer support is now non existent and if (and you will) have issues, they will not be resolved.

Since CAE have taken over, they clearly don’t care about the app anymore and are more focused on other areas.

There are many better roster apps and I would highly recommend you review those first before ever giving rosterbuster any consideration.

Roster Upload + support

Hello guys, I used this app now for a few years, so far so good no problems. But since two months, suddenly I am not able to upload my roster anymore. It always shows zero flights. I contacted support via email + online form. Took them ages to reply and there is no help coming from them either just useless copy paste answers I know already myself. Time for a refund! Used to live my life by Roster Buster - since coming back to aviation I've seen that they've removed the ability to upload via HTML and all other means fail. Yet they still charge me for a premium membership while they 'troubleshoot'/ignore my problem. Avoid at all costs. Please, somebody recreate the old app.

Ruined

Used to be excellent but lately it’s been loaded up with bugs. My roster format has’t changed but now the app seems incapable of properly reading end times for training and standby duties, picks random hotels on layovers and does other bizarre things. Reported all these problems ages ago but still no fix.

It no longer automatically updates your roster from your crew portal but the support team tell me this is due to GDPR, which is fair enough.

Second star only because the way it outputs to calendars is the best formatted out of other similar apps, and the little maps it produces to export to social media are pretty nice.

No longer fit for purpose and poorly supported

This has been my go-to app for years but recently there have been some changes that have made the app harder to use (particularly downloading my roster) and, more fundamentally, incorrectly interprets the roster and assigns incorrect timings to events. This latter issue makes the product unusable. Sadly, while support used to be top-notch, as others have found, it is no longer the case and support tickets are left languishing in the queue for weeks and, when they are responded to, are simply closed without the bug being fixed. I'm now looking elsewhere while RosterBuster and their new owners (CAE) get this product and the support back to where it used to, and should, be.

I’ve been using Roster Buster for years. Simple and easy to use. No more trying to convert your GMT roster to local time in your head, this app does it all for you. Time zones, lay over length, crew list... You name it... This app has it all. I won’t be without it when I return to the skies this summer.

Nothing but bugs

I’ve had this app a long time now and subscribed to the premium features two years running without problem but mow the app is unusable! Recently the app will not communicate with with my companies roster software having worked previously (it never updated automatically in any case) but most frustratingly despite numerous emails back and forth to customer service the issue with auto calendar updating has never been resolved - all I got back each time on email was the same rubbish advice to ‘delete the calendar and re-sync’ which was required each and every time my roster was updated!?!??? Despite continued emails requesting a refund I continued to get the same auto response with the suggested solution that fixed nothing. I had been considering the roster buster logbook subscription but I’ll be looking elsewhere following these issues.

Great App!

Brilliant app. Have used it for years and it’s improved greatly over time. Various adjustments and new features.

I like that it gives you local time for downroute, weather overseas, map feature etc. Also great for family and friends to benefit from so they can see your working roster. I like that it also shows all your previous routes on a map, miles, countries etc.

Customer service always great, prompt replies and a really friendly company to deal with.

Great, simple roster management that works

I’ve used Roster Buster for the past year, and have found it extremely convenient. I don’t use all the bells and whistles, but it does it’s primary task very well (like all the best tools). Download and parsing of ecrew data is reliable and the calendar sync feature is superb. More importantly, their customer service is responsive and reasonable. I accidentally let my subscription renew even though I am long-term grounded (COVID), and they kindly refunded me. I look forward to renewing once back in the air

Simple, efficient, effective.

I’ve been using RosterBuster for a good few years now and it’s made life so much easier for uploading my roster into my calendar. One click and it’s done. Changes are highlighted, times are in the correct zone, and if you have any reason to contact support, they are onto it within a very short time. Recommended!

Ground Duties

Every now and again, my calendar will suddenly show days of “CrewRoster:Ground Duty” (or similar) despite me manually deleting these. Firstly: why do these keep appearing? Secondly? Can you please please tell me how to stop them appearing on my calendar? I find RosterBuster very useful but this is driving me to distraction. My calendar is completely full of little dots, because RosterBuster is populating every single day with a duty, even though I’m on days off. I can’t tell when a day is free or not if every single day has a dot on it. Please help.

Useful app & friendly staff

Very handy app for airline crew, it’s user friendly and helps make a confusing airline portal look much easier to read. I can share my roster friends & family and they’ll understand it from the easy layout.

If I have ever have had a problem with the app/my subscription then I just message the RosterBuster team and they’re quick to update the app or help me out. I couldn’t recommend them more, Thank you RB team 😃✈️

Good Customer Service

I downloaded the app and unfortunately it wasn’t for the ground staff to use. Because I couldn’t delete the account by myself I had to ask the customer service to help me.

It was an amazing service. The person who helped Remy was fast, efficient and kept me informed all the time regarding the process.

Sadly I can’t use the service but if I was I would be reassured that I was in good hands..

My most used APP

This is my second season of using this app and it makes my job so much easier. Being able to check my roster in local times is a huge bonus and stops any confusion when crewing ring at 3am. I love being able to see how many flights I’ve done per week, month and year plus the number of miles I’ve travelled.

The best feature without a doubt is sharing my roster with my family. Overall this is a brilliant well thought out app and well worth having.

Great app

I currently work as cabin crew and this app is fantastic for viewing your roster. It breaks down your schedule so you can see how long you have in a place at a time. My favourite part is you can add your friends who are crew and view there roster so you can match days off with them. Keep up the good work and love the new update!

Roster Buster has not only provided me a great app with excellent features. But also allows my partner to also keep track of my flights and movements. (Maybe not so good if you have multiple partners!)

The app allows me to sink my schedule to iCalendar which then allows me to sink to my alexa (travel times and weather)

Although through rosterbuster the metars and tafs are also available excellent as your making your way to work and need to know this information.

The fact that all times are presented as local and zulu also helps if you forget if its summer or winter time.

I discovered roster buster allows you to print a wall planner and I think im going to start printing this out for the kids and they can see when daddy is coming home.

All round roster buster is the one of the most used apps on my phone.

Such good support

Have used friends and family side this app for a number of years. Our son is a pilot so we like to know where he is! Plus it is good to know when not to ring him. I recently had problem with my phone and had amazing help and support to be able to keep track of him again!

Retrograde update...

This app is way worse than the previous version; it has me as a ‘flight attendant’ on the homepage when all I am is family (surely they could’ve put ‘family’ as an option)?! I can see my daughter’s flights but have to click on the flight number to see the destination (I’m not fluent with airport codes), and have to scroll through the list to see future flights, whereas before there were quite a few showing on the page at once. Rarely have I seen such a poor update to an app!! Had to give it one star, but half a star would be more appropriate! 😡

Effective and efficient customer support

The app has been everything I hoped it to be. There were a couple of issues as I set up the app but the customer service in resolving the issues is better than any other that I have experienced.

Excellent app

I used it daily and have recommended it to all my flying colleagues. I no longer work on the industry but I do still recommend the app to friends. When linked to iPhone calendar it even set alarms for every shift which is super handy when tired and forgetful after a long run of flights

Unreliable

I’ve been using roster for years. However recently they’ve tried adding loads of new features that seem to slow the app down. Recently I’ve been consistently not able to upload my roster (published every Friday) without a glitch or the server down.

Much to be improved. Please Focus on your basic app function: roster uploads reliably and consistently. That’s the only reason I use this app, if I want weather and notams I use something else.

Love this app and I love how when you recommend people and they sign up via you you get free days added on to your subscription! Fab way of keeping up to date with fellow crew so you can arrange to meet people! Highly recommend this for any cabin crew!

Essential App for Crew!

I’ve been using this app since 2013 as a means of not only organising my roster but also planning my social life by seeing which days off my other airline crew friends are available on. The interface with my airline roster portal is easy and automatic, able to fetch the latest data in one click.

What started as getting my roster in a user friendly format and sharing with my friends has grown to so much more. Features are always being added such as statistics, export to external logbooks and the ability to chat to your crew - really useful downroute when you want to organise some drinks!!

What’s more, the support team is fantastic and are always on hand to help. As a beta tester, I can assure you that more exciting features are being added all the time.

I couldn’t imagine my life without this app. I recommend it to all my friends and would do the same to any prospective airline crew interested in doing so.

Fantastic useful app

This is perfect for keeping up to date with what’s happening with your roster. No need to sign in every time it tells you what’s happening that day, who your crew are and you can even contact them to make arrangements for trips too. Worth every single penny and really couldn’t live without this app.

Wouldn’t be without this app!

I have used this app now for about 5 years. It’s brilliant. I can’t speak highly enough of the app itself or the customer service team. Each month when my roster comes out, I use RosterBuster to download it with just the click of one button. It then updates all my devices and syncs to my calendar, and my wife’s calendar! It also does this anytime I download a change, and can do it all automagically in the background at an interval you choose. So not only do I always have an up to date roster, so does anyone I care to share the iCal link with! On top of that I use it to export all my duties directly into LogTen, saving me a lot of typing. I can also choose to share my roster with colleagues and friends, so I can see whenever we might be in the same place at the same time! It’s a fantastic app, and the subscription is great value for money in my opinion.

Great App.

Love the app. I use it all the time. Integrates with every ops system I’ve worked with, imports to my iOS Callander including all assigned crew, converts to local from Zulu for check in, exports to Safelog. Very prompt support from the team when I had difficulties (not often though). For £12 a year, no brained.

Fantastic App

I've been using RosterBuster since I became cabin crew last year and absolutely love it. The information is easy to view and sync's with all my other Apple devices. I recently had a problem with the iCalendar link and after raising a support ticket, the team were superb with a quick response and resolution with regular updates when it wasn't a simple resolve. It has now been sorted and works seamlessly. Loving the new update with emoji's too!

for an app that costs about £12 I would expect much more. Yes it’s amazing that converts the GMT times to local times but I had lots of occasions during the year where the app just froze. The last time being just today. With my subscription coming to an end this week I ll seriously think about repurchasing. Rosterbuster if you want to keep your customers sell them a more trustworthy app

Essential

I’ve used Rosterbuster for several years now and to put it simply I couldn’t be without it. Uploading rosters is so simple from within the app and within a couple of seconds it updates the calendar on all my devices.

I’ve also found the support to be super speedy and very helpful. If you’re crew it’s a no brainier.

Great app

I've used this for many years - great app! Displays my roster clearly, automatically updates other devices and to my wife's devices. Easy to edit when needed, especially for adding other crew members to flight info. Only downside is it’s slightly cumbersome to update new rosters compared to other apps that have a single tab to press for uploading. Still wouldn’t change tho, despite having tried many others.

A Must Have

I've been using this app for several years and consider it a must have for airline pilots and crew. I download my roster into all my devices - PC and iOS - which is great for managing my own life and keeping my family informed. The facility to export into other apps such as LogTen Pro and EASA FTL is a real time saver. On the very rare occasions I have had an issue with the app, tech support has sorted it quickly.

Very good app

This is a great app. It's easy to upload my roster and it synchronises with Google calendar so I can access it anywhere and share it with my family.

A recent change in my company's roster address prevent upload and I emailed Support, and the fixed it within a few hours. Very good service.

Used this for 4 years now!

This app is amazing for flight deck and cabin crew. I used to work from EGNX/EMA, now based in Alicante/LEAL. Having this set to local times is very handy especially when the rosters are given in Zulu. Updating is simple and easy when there are any changes. I've shared this with many other crew members within the airline who all love it too. I've been able to share this with other crew members at other bases and pilot mates around the world operating from other airlines. If your airline doesn't work with them, I'm sure support will have a look and get it working. Response to any improvements and issues are dealt with easily and quickly. I run my iPhone 4 on iOS 6 and recently was informed to update my iOS. Many users will still be running this app from other versions and support fixed the issue. I Sync this with my iPad Air 1 running the latest iOS at all times. Update: I mainly use my iPhone 6s Plus and it syncs nicely with the iPad. Whether I upload a new roster from my iPhone or iPad or delete from either device, it syncs nicely. No errors or issues. Another decent feature is to be able to upload my roster from the web. Additional features or changes are welcomed to make this a one stop place to get all your information presently well. Works well on the latest iOS version 11.0.1. Thanks Roster Buster Team!

An Apple Essential for Air Crew!

I’ve been using this app for two different airlines now and the user friendly interface enables reading the work schedule so much easier. With the new update of having the EASA FTL app to sync with your roster makes working out the duty hours for the crew that much simpler. Problems I’ve had with the app has been swiftly rectified by RosterBuster’s support team. Cheers guys!

I can't live without this app!

I've been using this for a couple of years now. When my company recently upgraded Aims to use e-crew I had trouble uploading my schedule. I can't tell you the panic I had at the prospect of not having my roster saved in my iPhone calendar!! The guys at Roster Buster worked to find me a solution and thankfully they did!! When you work to a roster you need to be able to use the iPhone calendar for appointments and having my roster stored in there just simplifies my life!! I love it!!

Excellent App

I've used Rosterbuster for just over a year now and I can't express how amazing this app is! I love that you can have your roster in Local time as rosters are given in Zulu! You can see your friends' rosters and you can even send them messages! Another great thing is when I'm on my way to work on the home page of the app it lets me know what flight I'm on and now or even gives you up to date gate information which I find so helpful! The support from rosterbuster is always quick, I've had a couple of technical issues with the app and filed a ticket with the support team and they have got back to me promptly and with incredible support and always resolved the issue! I have recommended this app to other colleagues and I highly recommend it to anyone who is flight crew or cabin crew! Well deserved 5 stars!

Great app and excellent customer support

I've been using Roster Buster for a long time, both in my previous job in European short haul now in long haul.

Really simple to use, sign into your company crew schedule via the app and download your roster onto the app. It recognises all your flights, hotels, ground school, days off, leave etc.

The thing I really like is that you can then export it to one of the popular Log Book apps.

You can also add people, so you can view their rosters easily and it'll let you know if you are at the same location.

When I had trouble with the format of my company roster via the app due to my airlines CWP software, the team at RB were helpful and replied immediately.

Keeps improving

I've used RosterBuster for four years now and it was really useful from the start. The core requirement of having the correct times in my calendar and logbook without worrying about time zones and daylight saving. In the intervening time they have listened to feedback and various annoyances were fixed and more features added.

Very Useful App

Great intuitive app that makes viewing my roster so much easier than my airlines system. Love the option of subscribing to the calendar that updates itself whenever I download a new roster into my phone islander automatically.

Initially had a problem with one of the codes my airlines uses for a day off not being recognised by Roster Buster but after sending a message through support they sorted it fairly quickly which I can't fault.

Overall great experience using the app.

Use this app almost daily to mange my roster, see what my friends and colleages are doing, and share with family. Easy to use, and good value.
