Net Radar enables you to:
● Check the status and correct operation of your VPN connection.
● Check your current public IP address.
● Check the geographical location of your current internet connection on a map.
● Check the provider's metadata for your internet connection.
● Optionally log all VPN and internet connection status changes.
● Export logged activities to apps like Numbers or Excel.
> VPN STATUS MONITOR
Net Radar checks your current network configuration and the type of network connection to determine if there is an active VPN. If this is the case then an extra check is performed to see if this connection is a remote connection, different from your standard unprotected local internet connection. If all these checks are passed, then the connection is displayed as a working VPN connection, with clear green indicators.
> PUBLIC IP ADDRESS LOCATOR
After each connection change, an anonymous information request is made to an IP location service to determine your external IP address and the associated geographical location. The results are displayed on a map and are also used to double-check the correct working of your VPN, when active.
> CONNECTION LOGGING
The logging feature of Net Radar is default disabled, to protect your privacy. After enabling it in the settings, each and every connection status change detected by Net Radar will be added to the activities log, which can be viewed in the console module of the app. All log lines are stored locally and not shared with anyone. All logging can be exported to Numbers, Excel and other CSV compatible apps. You can also delete at any time all logging data.

Net Radar is 100% optimised and tested to run in split view modus with other apps, like those from VPN providers.
> VPN STATUS WIDGET
Net Radar includes a super handy Today widget that gives you a quick overview of the current VPN connection status, public IP number and geographical location. You can open Net Radar with one tap on the widget.
> CONFIGURATION OPTIONS
Net Radar works out-of-the-box without any additional configuration. But if you like, there's a lot to customise. The VPN detector, the IP location service, the activity logging and the look-and-feel of the displayed map are all aspects that can be changed to your personal needs and taste.

> MONITORING SCOPE
Net Radar monitors the operational status of your VPN connection, based on internal system information and external metadata. It’s able to this in a real-time fashion when the app is active and in the foreground. Third party apps are not allowed by iOS to run full-time in the background. When Net Radar is in the background then the monitoring is limited to background app refresh.
> COMPATIBILITY
Tested with OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP, IPSec and IKEv2.
> NOTE
Net Radar does not include a VPN service.
