* Scene animation - You can apply a camera animation (orbit, pan, zoom, dolly, and more) for each slide! Tap the Slides button, add a slide and select it; Tap on the new 'Animation' icon in the slides toolbar.

* Export to Video - Now that you added animation to your slides, you can export your design as a video. Tap 'Share' and select 'Video'. The video will be saved as an MP4 video in your Photos app.

This app looks very amazing, and easy to use. However, as soon as i got the app it insisted that I sign up for membership or something, or I can’t use this app. I think its great but shouldn’t be labelled as free on the appstore as it isn’t free.i also think me and others should be able to use some tools for free, and others can be premium, instead of all the tools premium.

.. but I can’t do anything much without subscribing so it’s a useless download. Almost every tool causes a subscription pop up screen which is intensely irritating and creates a really bad vibe and as a result I am deleting as soon as this review is written.

Basically you get a whopping 14 days free trial if you sign up (whatever happened to the 30 days that most developers used to offer) .. but you have to remember to cancel in time if you don’t want to invoke a subscription. My take on this underhand practice is that it is designed with the hope that people will forget to cancel and cha-ching the cash till fills!!

I suspect the app might be okay as it seems to offer the Right set of functionality but I’m not hanging around to find out....I’ll take my money elsewhere thanks !!!

This says to me that they don’t want me to see it and use it before purchasing, which normally means they are hiding something and in this case it appears to badly optimised code. Avoid.

So, I downloaded this app to try and create models of my ideas and to experiment. I went on to the “designs” section and selected “create new design”. When I finally finished loading and watching the tutorials, I couldn’t sketch, start modelling or even move! It said I needed a stupid subscription, and when I looked at the prices, I was shook! £10.99 each month! Lifetime cost... £399.99!!!!! I’m sorry but I just CANT use this app for anything except listen to tutorials and constantly get reminded about subscription! Goodbye, you won’t be seeing me using THIS utterly appalling thing ever again.

It’s an elegant app for doodling and making basic three-dimensional concepts for things like architecture or level design (not actual 3D asset modeling), but the £15 a month asking price is insane for the software you actually get and makes the app, ironically, quite inaccessible.

Plus, making people subscribe to the £90 yearly plan just to get a two week trial is pretty damn awful and reads as very cynical, hard to trust a developer that’s hoping some people will forget to cancel before they’ve even made their minds up.

To talk about the app a little more, it’s very drawing-centric which makes sense, and it’s quite easy to sketch basic things and pull them into 3D. It’s less easy however to precisely dial down certain aspects like geometry, correcting faces and vertices and it’s where the app experiences gradually fails you as you start slowly bouncing between different modal menus to dial everything in the way you actually wanted it. Plus the app sometimes adds additional modeling artifacts between modal operations if you’re not careful, piling on the amount of time you’ll spend fiddling instead of designing.

The toolset offers the basics for architecture visualization and 3D planning (extrude, cut, edit, etc), but it lacks the precision and other core modal tools to let you actually model 3D objects unlike Shapr which while even more expensive at least offers a deep toolset with a real sense of precision and fluidity - this even for it’s intended audience feels off the mark and needlessly fiddly.

I would have tested it more but hey, the two week trial is up. If you want to try it just get the two week free trial and immediately cancel the sub in Settings so you don’t forget to. Hopefully a better team makes the Procreate or Affinity Designer of 3D modeling and really opens the doors of 3D design to everyone but this? This ain’t it.

I downloaded this thinking is would be free software with in app purchases as described. Nope. Sign up for a 14 day trial then £88.99. It’s a shame, it looks good. But I dislike the ethics behind companies that use this tactic to gain revenue. Sign up for the trial and you will no doubt be billed as soon as the trial period ends. Offer a stripped back product for trial and then offer new features as addons. I always feel companies who use the free trial method are just looking at those who forget to cancel as an easy way to boost their bank balance.

When I first downloaded this app it looked fine but when I clicked on the default design (which was the only design there) i couldn’t even draw or design anything because half the icons that were meant to be there weren’t. This app is so bad I couldn’t even make it less than a minute on the design template because the app would keep on crashing. I embarked on an interior architecture project, using uMake for the CADs in the hope that I could take my design work on the road without my MacBook. To begin with it worked well; sketching over existing floor plans was a breeze and to be honest, quite enjoyable! But then as the plans became bigger, the app started crashing now and again. I stuck with it, but it got worse. It got much worse. To the point where I had to split up my model into rooms because the app could not handle the file size.

Every time I tried to do something a message would appear telling me that the action I was about to perform would slow down the software. I cannot understand why this is given the processing power of the new iPad Pro.

I had no choice in the end but to try and export the file into something which I could actually work with... none of them are compatible with auto cad.

£15 p/m would not be an issue at all is this app was actually suitable to pro use but unfortunately it falls so short of what is required of it at the moment that I just don’t see how it justifies the price.

uMake, if there are some significant performance and compatibility improvements coming then I will certainly be back because there is a space for this software, but I’m afraid at the moment it is not ticking the boxes.

This app has so much potential, but the Precision Pen tool is so awful, it ruins my experience. I was trying to sketch a semi circle and it took me nearly 10 mins to get the dimensions right.

Please add some basic oval, rectangular shape and other common used vector shaping tools.

I used the iPen for the app and I am an experienced in using 3Ds MAX, SolidWorks and SketchUp.

I’m a novice when it comes to 3D designing but I’ve been wanting to start designing for 3D printing for ages. A lot of apps are really powerfully but frankly over whelming to a new user but I’ve found UMake really easy to get into. I bought the education version and I’ve been watching the user guides on YouTube to get up to speed.

While this may support the developers to create the app I would far prefer to have the old, free app that had less features. I also can’t even have the free trial because the server is blocked so the app basically becomes useless. Goodbye UMake - Goodbye forever...
