Version 3.1.2
Love the simplicity of streaks workout. However, as it's not very customisable, once you progress to other workouts its not very useful. Would be great if there was a tick box option for 'i did an external workout today eg went to the gym or went swimming or did another app' so that we could keep the streak going. Would be even more amazing if we could add our own exercises or variations.

Amazing, could be better

Version 3.1
This is, at least to my knowledge, the best workout there is available on iOS app store. I would 100% recommend purchasing it. The voice command function makes the app far more useful during workouts, as you don’t need to move back to your phone in between each exercise. While the voice recognition could be improved, I won’t focus on that, as I’m sure it’s under constant renovation by default.
My primary issue is that the exercises you are able to insert into your routine are limited to those programmed into the app. While there are a large number of exercises available, I still have some issues:
• The exercises are not categorised in any way, and therefore, without any existing athletic knowledge, it is difficult to construct both balanced and targeted routines alike.
• The lack of categorisation also makes navigating the exercises list more difficult in general
• The list is large, but it isn’t extensive (an extensive list would be near impossible anyway). The best solution I can think of besides simply adding more options is allowing custom exercises to be added by the user.
• No exercises requiring weights are available
Besides this, I don’t have any problems with the app. If you’re considering getting it, again, I would 100% recommend. I struggle getting motivated to work out so this not only provides motivation in the form of wishing to maintain a streak but also removes any kind of barrier created by not knowing how to work out. Great app; worth the money.

Genuinely changed my life

Version 3.1
I’ve the last twelve months, I’ve lost about 30kg. Right now, my 5K time is 21:20 or so, 10K is about 45 minutes, sub-two-hour half-marathon, I cycle (both road and mountain) for hours a week, and have recently started CrossFit. At 42, I’m in the best shape of my life. And it all started with Streaks.
I might have only used it for two or three months, but that initial period of time was *critical* for forming new (and hopefully lifelong) habits. By committing to doing everything at home, I removed any excuses between me and not exercising. And Streaks’ light gamification actually makes a difference - if you can’t find six minutes in a day just to keep a streak going, you got other problems!
But yeah, my journey started here. Streaks, a healthier lower-calorie diet, and a couple of months: that’s all it took to lose noticeable weight, add noticeable muscle, and make huge gains in overall fitness.

Would be better if it had left/right reminders

If you are doing a lot of exercises that change direction every time it gets a bit confusing which direction you are meant to be doing. The app would be much better if the animated figure would change direction each time so you don’t have to remember or have some other indicators.

Just what I need in my morning routine.

Version 3.0.2
This app borders on being the perfect core workout companion and the integration with the Apple Watch and Apple Health is outstanding. I love the interface and the idea behind the app, with a few small tweaks, it’ll be the only workout app you need. Definitely get hold of this app and cross your fingers for some of the following:
- I think the implementation of ‘rests’ that you can input into your workout is crucial. At the minute you can pause the workout, but it’s just not as easy or convenient as managing and restricting rest time with timers and being able to put that rest time amongst your workout wherever you want.
- I think we need more exercises too, though I expect this is an ongoing thing. Russian Twists was something that sprung to mind. The alternative here is letting users put their custom workouts into the sessions, but I think that goes against the simplicity of the UI, a much better idea is to add 5 new exercises a month until you’ve got more variety. The world of core fitness is constantly evolving and growing, so should your app!
- Some people do core work with weights, an interface that let you input weights appropriated to certain exercises would be handy.
- A little thing, but why not add all the colours from the standard Streaks app in.
It really wouldn’t surprise me if the guys over at Streaks are working on a ‘Streaks Strength’ app for weight training and body building that allows you to practice lifting progress and input free weight and weight machine workouts into sequences. I’d happily pay for that and it looks like it’s all going to come together to form a ‘Streaks Fitness Suite’ that is an absolute essential for any apple user.

It's good, but needs tightening up

Exceedingly good helper to keep the workouts going.
But! Streak's counting is very poor. my iPhone app says 7 days and my TV app says 5 days, but the calendar clearly shows a streak of 15. As a central part of the app to keep people motivated, this is a poorly implemented part of the app.
However the range of exercises is good and for the self motivated it's quite a useful aid.

Always good to try something different and this is a great app for getting out of a rut and doing something to work the whole body. At the end of day two my abs hurt like crazy but still went back for more on day three. Bring the pain!

You can set your own exercises and it’s hard at first. But it’s made a great difference to my 50year old body shape. I aim for a 70% monthly completion target. This helps me do it regularly. So it’s a good motivation and the range of exercises work for me.

Not well thought through

Version 3.0.1
Don’t get me wrong, I think the app is great. It has been doing wonders for my health and well-being over the past week that I have used it.
However, I have a few niggles.
The app, especially when creating your own workouts needs more customisation options. For example, I do not understand why in the preset exercises you can count punch push ups, but not do the same for your custom exercises. It only gives you the option to do that particular exercise timed.
Secondly, when doing side planks the app should automatically suggest to do them on your other side for the same amount of time. Otherwise, you might end up doing planks on one side only and that’s not very beneficial. The same goes for side lying hip raises.
Finally, the timer for timed exercises starts too quickly. Getting from one position into a new position can take up to 10 secs away from a timed exercise and that’s not very useful if the exercise is only 10 secs long.
Apart from that, I am very pleased with the app and will give more stars when, hopefully updates have been made.

My workouts are customised to whatever goals I’m working towards. Unfortunately I can’t add any custom exercises to the app and the provided list is remarkably short. I’ve r commended it to my father. He doesn’t exercise, and he’s in his 60s, but it’s simple and pretty. Probably better suited for him than me.

Version 2.1.2
The app is good and can take some of the pressure off the questions of which exercises to do on any given day but the ability to add your own exercises to the list would be a great leap forwards.
Also the calculations for exercise order and amounts could do with improvements as too often harder and more physically draining exercises are grouped together and follow each other, for example doing 12 burpees followed by another 11. Can make completing workouts in the specified amount of time hard as you need longer to recover between the exercises.

Two things I wish this app had, plank times and a stopwatch for the planking . I would also really like to be able to design a custom workout so I can do say 40 crunches then 40 press ups then back to crunches again rather than spreading them out more.
