Is this the best guide?
The days available seem to change after you make an entry, leave the app and then restart it. Also annoyingly, if you make a mistake with an entry, you have to delete and start again as you can only edit the title.

It’s important so it has to be good
Post Brexit your time spent in the Schengen zone is important and failure to comply with the rolling limits are costly so I record all of my movements in this Schengen calculator. As long as I record my stays it won’t let me down.

The border patrol only check that you have not exceeded 90 days stay in past 180 days. Thus previous trips will only ever drop out one day at a time and never suddenly a whole trip drop out from one day to the next as shown in the app.

Schengen Allowance.
The app makes a ridiculously formulae workable - you input your travel dates and get a running balance of time left. This tells you when to take your pension home and spend it in the rain and not in the sun?

I know that’s a long way in the future to plan visits to the Schengen area, but I’ve been using the app as a tool for learning about the 180 rule and so it would be helpful to see how different visiting patterns alter opportunities to stay.

How can multiple days drop off at once? Ive read your explanatory notes but still don’t understand. If there’s a rolling window of 180 days, which advances by one day each day, how can more than one day drop off in any given day?

Re-Entering the european when the days have recalculated
This is a question for the developer for how the days rollover on your application.
I’m hoping you can give me a straight answer because according to your application after visiting the european over a period of five trips within a 16 days there and 12 days off and so forth over a period, (say between February and June) by the time I reach the 7th of June your application states I only have 10 days left to revisit the European, which is 80 days used over a 180 day period. from the 20th of July the days have regained upto to 28 days, because I’m assuming the days automatically recalculate from the 1st day of the visit, so does that mean I can go back over to the european within them 28 days OR do I have to wait until I have regained the 90 days again before going back over to the European!

Why does the App knock TRIPS off and not DAYS off if it’s supposed to be a moving 90 out of 100 days ? I don’t understand it

Only thing to be improved is to be able to edit trip without deleting and re-entering it. But useful to see when you can next enter the area.

Revised App
I have used the original version of the app and the updated version side by side.
The original version shows dates remaining per trip as exactly the same as the eu online calculator something which the developer refers to as proof of the apps accuracy. How the updated version of the app always shows I have - 1 more day available per trip ie. 21/22, 17/18,16/17 etc so I’m slightly concerned as to accuracy even though it is just by 1 day.
I would be interested to hear why that might be?
Additionally when you open the app under “todays” date ie 8th Aug it says date of entry which is the same as “todays” date ie 8th Aug but with option to change this date.
On the original app I changed the date of entry to the last date of the proposed trip and then put in the dates of the trip for the calculation to be made. The results matched the eu online calculator I presume I do the same on this app….. but it’s not clear.
The revised app is good in that it stores/provides more detail than the original which required you to make a note of dates remaining as this information disappeared once the next trip was input.
Both versions would benefit from more detailed instruction as to what dates to put into the app under “date of entry “ and what is the purpose of that calculation and how it relates to the details of forthcoming (and past trips)etc
To be honest it was trial and error. Clearer instructions and example of how to use would be great.
I will continue to use it as it is easy to access the information once it’s input however I wouldn’t use if I couldn’t cross reference with the eu calculator.
If this came with detailed information as to how to use it would be really good.

As someone who works in the Netherlands but lives in the UK, I needed a way of tracking my allowable days so I could still take vacations and of course work without going over the limit. Both the app and online calculator are brilliant, straight forward to use and has allowed me to plan my travel.

Good app
This is a good app. For our multiple trips, the calculated days and compliance seem to agree with results using the EU online calculator.
The only slight niggle is that Upcoming Trips move to Past Trips as soon as a trip starts. Normally, this is fine but we recently we had to extend a trip because of a car issue.
It did not seem possible to edit the current trip to extend it, so we had to add a separate new short Upcoming Trip to add the days to the log. Ideally, these days would have just been part of the single trip. Perhaps Upcoming Trips should not move to Past Trips until the end.

Inaccurate app
I have calculated manually the number of days available for visits to Europe and find I have 33 days available. The app states 55 days available, a figure which has not changed for weeks, although older trips should be falling away from the summary. You cannot rely on the app

What should be a simple calculation appears incorrect. Initial entry appears fine, then when an additional stay is entered it does not recalculate remaining eligibility.

Useful but not always accurate
It’s very helpful as the 180 day period is constantly moving, but the app often changes by itself the dates I have recorded - eg 12th to 14th becomes 11th to 13th and sometimes the number of days also mysteriously changes. This means I have to check back regularly for accuracy, especially when nearing my limit.
That being said, overall this app is a blessing and saves hours of physical calculations…

Inaccurate count of days expiring
A real flaw in this version is that as soon as your day of entry is over 180 days ago, it removes the whole trip from the count, not just the rolling days. Nearly left me overstaying!

It doesn’t work
It’s now 10th October. 180 days ago it was 13th April. Since 13th April I have been in the Schengen area for a total of 70 days. Yet the app tells me I still have 35 days of my 90 left. How? Am I misunderstanding something? The App is not counting 15 days in May - which we’re well within 189 days ago.

It’s excellent but unpredictable!!
Of course it changes with the rolling system, but can be confusing as it can change in an hour!
Great that you can store the dates on this calendar unlike other apps which you can loose dates as you sign out. This is a real pain if you have laboriously typed in dates !
Still not 100 per cent sure and would it stand up at the airport if you unavoidably went over 90 days?

Used to work but does’t now!
Initially the calculator worked but it no longer works, the longer I stay at home in the UK the more my remaining Schengen days drop.
I have a holiday home in Italy and have all my dates entered, if I spend more time at home in the UK than in my holiday home in Italy my remaining Shengen days reduce on this app instead of increasing, the other apps I use all work fine and I can also manually work it out.
It’s as if it is working it out in reverse ie thinks I live in Italy and holiday in the UK instead of the other way round.

I travel a lot to Europe and this is pretty much invaluable for tracking it all. What I would like to see is a marker that shows where it’s counting from as I find that sometimes I could have a big chunk of days that are about to fall out of the last 180days.

Simple interface for a complicated calculation
Works perfectly and correctly adds “expiring” Schengen days to your remaining total for any given entry date. This is essential for anyone entering Schengen regularly as calculatng the impact of a moving 180-day window on your remaining days isn’t entirely straightforward .

Doesn’t work
I’ve been relying on this to keep me from overstaying. I began to get suspicious after adding a couple of future trips and the total didn’t alter. I thought it was simply the rolling year total keeping me safe. However I’ve downloaded another App and copied the dates over and found I’m 11 DAYS OVER. A quick mental add up confirms this. I should have done this first but trusted thenAPP. More fool me! Don’t get caught. Delete this one.

Decent but basic

Thank you for making this product. A few requests to make it perfect.
1) To be able to delete entries. There is currently no way to delete an entry if it was a mistake
2) To be able to check future breaches of the rule even if not within the current window. For example I may plan some trips in 2023 that break the rule but currently there is no way of knowing. This could involve a feature that allows you to change the date instead of it being today’s date only. Or it could be a feature that checks for the breach for all global dates for and returns/highlights the dates on which the rule is breached. The latter would be ideal.
3) The ability to mark which country the stay was in. While have a generic trip works the same, being able to label the trip would make it easier to stay on top of multiple trips when reviewing historical and future trips.

If there was a way of showing which spent days were out of the <90\90>count window it would be great. There’s definitely something good here and the developers other Schengen 90 app is differently useful. I have both but I need both to fully understand where I am at!

Doesn’t calculate properly
I typed in all my trips for the last 6 months which totalled 84 days. This app said I had 45 days left which was incorrect - it should have said I had 6 days left. I typed the same combination into the official on-line Schengen calculator which said I had 6 days left. So something is amiss with this app for me.

I thought this app was easy but…
I think I understand how adding trips in to Schegen works by using the + in the top right. But there is a secondary date value that can be added using the calendar accessed in the top left. When a date is selected it shows in the Purple section of the main page. This really messes with my mind. Some hints and tips or instructions would be good. The developers website does not load for me.

Yes it does work!
I agree with the developer. My error was assuming that the 180 days starts 180 days ago when in fact it is only 90 as you are only allowed a max of 90 going forward. A simple explanation of the assumptions would certainly have helped the stress levels of both developer and user alike. I got my ‘of course’ moment when I double checked the official EU web site and got the same results. The website has changed its location from the one posted on the App Store.

Does not warn of overstays
I thought this app was, at last, the answer I needed as it gives you a record, counts “rolling” accurately, and gives a countdown to zero days left. However, the big flaw is that it does go below zero and warn you that you are planning to stay too long. No matter what date you put in after zero it remains at zero. I have used the official online calculator which informed me that my current trip is two days overstay…this is important information and the calculator should go to minus figures. It would then be brilliant.

Just put in last three trips, earliest one was over 90 days ago but within the 180 days rolling period and it has not reduced the number of available days. This could have been really serious. **cannot rely on this**

App is perfect as a Schengen calculator, but it just needs….
…..it just needs to show what the date was, 180 days in the past. Let me explain……It’s just taken me a hour to realise how simple my confusion was in relation to my Schengen trips this year. I’m a Brit, and have been to Spain for 82 days across 4 trips, since 2nd June 2021. On my app dashboard, there was each trip listed. I couldn’t understand why my first trip of 2nd June to 2nd July was still showing. I though it would have ‘dropped off’ as more than 180 days ago, thus July 3rd. Stupidly I’ve now realise that first trip is showing simply as a record of my travels and the ‘days left’ is precise. So I’d simply suggest the developed implements say a change of colour to a +180 day distant trip, or it says ‘this trip is more than 180 days in the past’.
And, simply adds a daily changing note at the top of the page saying ‘180 days ago, it was the X day of the Y month’.

Every official online calendar says I have 6 days left from my 90 in any 180.
This app says I have 37… I wish it was true but no.
The design look and feel is nice but the maths have to work?
Also the app links to support and the eu calendar don’t work?

Great Tool
This just saved me a lot of time at passport control in EU country , they said I had overstayed. I was able to show I still had 46 days left in the 180 day period . The passport officer did not understand the rolling 180 days , trying to count stamps !! I showed App confirmed against screen and allowed through !!! What a mess . Thankyou App

Not calculating correctly
I put dates in of 12 June 21 to 4 July 21 (23 days) and 5 October 21 to 12 November 21 (40 days). Provided my next date of entry is before 12 November 21 (ie. Anytime between 1 November when I tried this app and 12 November) the app tells me I have 27 days left.
But if I re-enter on 15 November 21 it tells me I have 50 days left which is not right. It’s failing to recognise the first trip!

The calculation is incorrect
As it’s a rolling 180 days then if I’m in Spain from day 1 to day 90, back in the UK from days 91 to 180, then on day 182 (looking back 180 days, I’ve already done 89 days of that in Spain, therefore I’m only allowed one day back in Spain. This calculator says I’m allowed another 90 day!
This calculator maybe calculating backwards from the end of the second 90 day.

STOPPED WORKING
At first this seemed to work OK but, after trying it out for an hour, it just stopped working properly. It was showing days used for each trip but not taking them away from the 90. A good addition would be for it to work out when your initial 180 day period ends and show this date.
My solution was to create my own calendar on my laptop using Excel. Took about 30 minutes to do and works perfectly.

Doesn’t work!
Despite the opening remark advising people about the rolling number, I can say, IT DOESN’T WORK! I know how the Schengen rules work, have used other Schengen calculators in the past and have used other calculators for the same dates I have just tried out here. I thought I would give this app a go so that my info remained. After adding the initial trip, which said I had three days left, it didn’t matter what I added after that, the three days remained. I ended up way overstaying my legal days, despite the app continuing to say I had 3 days. It seems the admin don’t believe or trust us users.

Disappointed as doesn’t calculate correctly
If I enter the Schengen zone today, on 16 July 2020, I am allowed to spend 90 days in the zone in a 180 day period which is up to the 12th January 2021. However the app stops counting after 90 days has passed on 14 October 2020. For instance I entered dates in 2 trips that calculate as a total of 25 days up to 10th October, leaving 65 days. That allocation of 65 days can be spent up to 12th January 2021 but the app stops counting for any date after 13th October 2020. No matter what dates I enter between 14th October 2020 and 12th January 2021 the count stays the same at 65 days remaining. If that could be corrected it would be an easy to use although changing the control date option could be made more obvious.
