I’ve tried contacting customer service a few times but it took a while for them to get back to me. And there’s no contact number thar you can call which made it more difficult if it’s something urgent. Also, the customer service team gave very inconsistent response with regard to my queries. And that made it worse was they told me the issue has been resolved but it hasn’t been addressed. Very disappointing service by Uber eats.

Really poor customer service. We waited two hours while our order kept getting ‘delayed’ by ten minutes. Phoned the restaurant and they said it was picked up an hour and a half ago and that ubereats deliveries are often just stolen by drivers who register the same day. Phoned Uber who refunded our order and said we would need to order again. Then they had the audacity to offer a £5 off coupon that expired in two weeks time as compensation.

I downloaded this app and even though I signed in with my Apple ID I can't even get into the app as I do not have a mobile phone number to give them. To be honest I don't have a mobile phone, but even if I did I'm not sure I want to give it out like this before I've even looked at the app. Luckily there are plenty of other ways for me to order food.

Uber eats location functionality doesn’t work properly if you’re not on a main road, I completely my address with instructions accurately, for some reason it still gives the driver a different address nearby - after it tells me to help better delivery by providing an address with instructions which I already have… so something’s not working on the app. The good thing is that it lets you track and contact the driver when these issues happen. When the orders go wrong I’m not sure whether it’s the app or something else. Again good thing is they refund when it goes wrong.

Any issues with food, the blame is passed onto the restaurant and nothing is done to resolve it. There is absolutely no regard for food being delivered very late or the wrong food being delivered, despite the inconvenience this causes and you have to urgently arrange alternative food. On this occasion, I got food that was completely unsuitable and could not be eaten by children with special needs despite providing notes and following up by phone to confirm the requirements. Uber insulted me with a 29p credit (yes, 29p!!!) for my loyalty and did nothing to resolve the issue.

Worst time ever with this app. Hard to navigate and added services charges on after requesting an optional tip. There was no way to cancel the order once it had racked up the price and discount codes (even if you apply them before you place the order, which is unclear and sneaky already) don’t actually work. The app sent it to an inaccurate location and the order was missing items. There was nowhere to report or amend any of these things. Feels like a scam, not a service.

I placed a £25 order for pizza, which was expected to arrive at 18:25. The pizza was 40 mins late. Called the restaurant. Franca manca says this something that ROUTINELY happens with Uber. No show couriers and cold soggy pizza.
There is no real-time In-app support got in contact with and you can submit help questions which Uber will respond to 6-7 HOURS later. They offered me a £2.49 refund as a “one-time courtesy”. I said this not meeting my expectations of a full refund as it was squarely Uber eats fault. They refused, so I deleted the app.
I’m sure Uber will respond with a horrendously generic message to this dismal review but as it can be seen above- you can see what customer service looks like. Save your coins

I’m disappointed not only with the lack of professionalism from the delivery partner I had but also from the lack of care when it came to complaints. My address doesn’t show up correctly on the Uber eats map despite entering it correctly and I made sure to write this in my extra notes so the driver would know. Of course he didn’t read this and ended up on the next road. I messaged and called to let him know he was at the wrong place and found he had dropped my food to the wrong house. He then went to get the food back from the family that had taken it in thinking it was theirs and I had to be put on the phone with this family for them to explain the situation after hearing them argue with the delivery partner for a while. I had agreed to take the food as long as it wasn’t opened and they confirmed it wasn’t. My delivery partner then proceeded to go to another wrong address on the other end of the road despite me standing outside waving to him frantically. I messaged and called and he then cancelled the order. When I tried to complain, Uber gave me an automated response saying the driver made reasonable effort to contact me but couldn’t which is an absolute lie as I have multiple phone calls to him in my phone history. On my receipt it said they wouldn’t charge me but now I see they have so I not only didn’t get my food but I also lost money for someone else’s mistake. Absolutely appalled and will not be recommending your services to anyone anymore.

Been using the app years. Recently I’ve had to ask for refunds or complain about missing items. But I ordered food 2 days ago from my local kfc, literally about 10mins drive. Ordered at 6.30 for me and my kids, and it gave me 7.10 expected, latest 7:35, which was fine. My driver arrived at kfc around 7.10, which was fine, but he was sat outside kfc until 7.50!! It kept coming up saying that they had multiple orders, mien was ready but they were waiting on someone else.
My food got here at 8, and it must of been sat in the car from 7.10 because I was soo cold! I tried applying for a refund as it was the worst I’d ever had, I had to send a picture and a comment - which I did. They tried to deny my refund, and they had no excuse, just that they wouldn’t do it. So I complained again, I was told I wasn’t entitled to a refund because I have more than one account, which they recon I used for a promotion. I explained my previous account was used 3 years ago and since then I’d had to set up a new account because of forgetting my details, and I’d been using my current account for nearly 2 years. Also stated that I never had a promotion on the food. Their reply was that they weren’t giving me a refund and that they were closing the complaint so they weren’t going to reply anymore.
The joke is all the messages were automated, and not one meaningful apology for their mess. I’ve deleted the app now and won’t be using again.

I vowed never to use uber eats again last year and I’m pleased to say I’ve followed through, and so has my entire household. The customer service is atrocious. McDonald’s delivery was the last thing tethering me to this horrendous company so I’m so glad that I can now get McDonald’s delivered for FREE elsewhere (as opposed to £3.49 when the restaurant is literally 2 minutes down the road). Contrary to uber eats’ website, the cost of delivery has nothing to do with the distance of the restaurant from your address.
The deals are fake. There have been multiple times where a deal was offered like free delivery for the next 5 minutes (funny how it always runs out no matter how quickly you try to order) or a 50% discount, but the discount is never applied at checkout. The last time this happened I was just too tired to try to contact an actual human who wouldn’t be of any help anyway.
I also got tired of something always missing or wrong from almost every order and an uber eats representative actually saying to me “this is the last time we will refund you for a wrong order”... excuse me!? Things that I PAID FOR are missing from my order, but that’s somehow my fault? That was the last straw for me. My household has happily been using alternative services for nearly a year now. Good luck to you if you try using uber eats.

Have had an issue with an order which comprised 4 items and cost around £23... turned out one of the items was cancelled (worth £3.5) by the provider.
When the remaining 3 items were delivered, I received an e-mail telling me that my bill for this order amounted to £24.5 which did not make sense in any way. It turns out I was charged a small order fee of £5 while it wasn’t my fault if one item was not available. Tried contacting UberEats to ask for a refund on the small order fee, and not one person was helpful in this situation. I have just now been told that this claim is considered closed with no refund for me.
I find it really disappointing that I have to bear responsibility for a situation which I haven’t chosen. It is also very disappointing to not have any phone number on which you can resolve these kinds of issues a lot quicker rather than through e-mails where the answers are generic and being repeated a few times.
I wouldn’t recommend for anyone to use UberEats given that they rip you off whenever they can and their customer service is just the worst.
I wasn’t very fond of Deliveroo, but to their advantage, they have a proper customer service and if there are any issues with orders, they resolve them immediately unlike UberEats.

They make excuses and are unwilling to look into the dodgy ways they are providing service with drivers who can’t communicate properly and don’t match the pictures which is extremely dangerous as the person could be anybody a serial killer as far as we know! Which is affecting there own business rep.... but they don’t seem to care. There is no policy in place for them to deal with any problems so be prepared to lose your money. There is no way of contacting them if you have an issue as they have pre recorded texts to send you if you have trouble. You won’t be communicating with a real person. They seem unprofessional and trying to scam people who don’t have a proper understanding of what the law is. Save your money people and use better websites which deal with problems you have a lot more efficiently. The restaurants I order from are great- the food is always good but not if the driver squashes up the containers and your food is all spilled out into the bag! This has happened to me tooooooo many times and it’s infuriating!!!! I don’t know why some of these driver’s on bikes love to collect these orders and ride with absolutely NO care for your food!! I’ve requested before that a car delivers rather than a bike as sick of my food being ruined. Also a few times the person shown that’s delivering is not the person who shows up.... that’s not good. On the whole a good service and good on the 25% discounts- it encourages to order more- well me anyway. I don’t like this service fee that’s been introduced- I think it’s extortionate. Where do I even begin with this nonsense. So last week on Valentine’s Day, my partner and I decided to go London and order some food from our favourite restaurant, just so we could enjoy our meal in our car as you do. Ordered through Uber eats and picked up our meal and went to the car to finally devour our highly anticipated meal. To our bemusement, the food was stone cold, looked old and stale, so we took it back and asked for a refund. Restaurant informed us that due to the fact that we ordered from Uber than we should deal with them. Sent in a complaint to Uber on the same day and they did not reply until 3 days had passed. When they EVENTUALLY REPLIED, 3 days had passed and they had the audacity to send me a pre populated msg stating that they can’t do anything because 48 hrs had passed. The cheek of these people to even say that when they were the ones that took their sweet time replying to me. It has been over a week and I have to received my refund, I’m still being sent automated responses and no customer care shown whatsoever. If I could leave no STARS for this company then I would, absolutely shocking how they go about their business, basically robbing their own customers like this. SHOCKING AND THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES.

The whole app sits on a pretty awful and annoying business model, which simply makes the app a source of frustration.
Ordering from the app the last few of times has been a real test of patience. You order your food, the restaurant starts to make it, a “delivery partner” selects to make your delivery. Half an hour into the food being prepared you can see the driver on the map, miles away from the food establishment, doing who knows what. One time I ordered I could see the driver actually going in the complete opposite direction, when I messaged asking if they’re picking up the food the guy dropped off, and another driver then had to be found. A couple of days ago I ordered some pizzas, and it took over 1.5 hours for them to be delivered; it was 4th time lucky with the delivery driver as 2 had to be turned away because their boxes were not big enough for the delivery (called the restaurant after over an hour of waiting to find out what’s going on). 3 one appeared on the map and then dropped off again. The food turned up cold and after we had to make different lunch arrangements due to wait time. There is nowhere on the app to give feedback about the actual concept and the fact that the process is sloppy; probably having something to do with Uber Eats making the drivers double up on deliveries or something like that. Not using it again, just thinking about the Uber eats app makes me annoyed.

Uber eats is a great service and the app is improving in many ways. However there is one super frustrating issue that causes issue with every food delivery.
The issues is when I type my address in for delivery, the pin on the map location goes about 4 streets away, showing the driver the wrong location.
I then try to use the edit location part to manually change the pins location so it doesn’t send the driver to the wrong place when they’re using the app for delivery. The problem is the pin won’t go where I put it, I put it on my address (where the app is even showing I am) but the pin will not stay there.
I’ve had drivers have a go at me and food delivered late and awkward phone calls because of this issue. My solution for now has been to move the pin about 4 streets to the right and down a bit so it correlates to where I am. This is such a frustrating issue and seems like a really easy fix. I’ve no visible way to report the issue and have seen this issue mentioned online so this doesn’t appear to be an isolated issue. It’s so simple, why can’t I correctly place the pin on my address and avoid these awful issues?

Its a scam i just ordered with them taco bell and i used to be a frequent uber costumer and I used to order with them all the time however after my disgusting experience today they have lost a customer. I ordered from taco bell and the courier stole my food he did not arrive and claimed he had. I understand that covid is a thing hut we have a door bell and a knocker usually delivery drivers would knock or ring the bell before leaving but this guy claimed he had waited for 7 minutes then left i am pretty sure thats fake. But anyway i tried to talk to the customer service team and they were no help in offering me a refund or any help what so ever i spent £40 for them to not even consider offering me anything i tried explaining to them that i am a student and that type of money is not easy to come by for me and i cant waste it but they flat out refused to even consider to help me or explain to me why my refund was not possible they are the worst delivery service ever when it comes to customer service i tried to call them and the automated women hang up on me twice anyway i am not happy with this service at all and will make sure me my family and friends go somewhere else to get delivery maybe deliveroo or just eat. If you know whats good for you do not order with uber at all there customer service is absolutely ridiculous and the worst thing ever i am extremely annoyed.

I placed an order through Uber eats for a local Indian restaurant. Ordering the food was simple enough and the food itself was good so no complaints there. My only gripe is that after collecting the order I noticed many/most items on their takeaway menu were cheaper than on the app. That combined with having to pay a service charge (whatever that is?) plus a small delivery fee if having it delivered meant the order would be a lot more than if ordering direct with the restaurant (our restaurant offered free local delivery when ordering direct).
Whilst I can’t be sure if it’s simply the restaurant being cheeky I assume not as when we collected they suggested we order direct next time. And it seems to be the case for other places too.
So if you happen to lie on a mattress of cash each night you might not be fussed about paying an extra £10 or so for an order. But if you’re a good hearted soul and would prefer to give that £10 to a decent charity rather than the lovely people at Uber eats, it’s probably worth checking if you can order direct from the place you want to eat from. You’ll also save yourself the feeling of having your pants pulled down.

I ordered a subway and my total came to about £30, when the delivery driver dropped it off he practically ran away and the order he gave me was someone else’s, myself and my partner are vegetarian and the order they gave us was filled with meat and half the amount. I tried to call my driver back, no response. Uber left no contact information at all for the restaurant of themselves, after finally finding a number to call customer support I was told I cannot talk to a member of their team because I didn’t have an active order. I am appalled by the lack of customer communication, and the lack of communication between the driver and customer. I feel as thought Uber have not tried to talk any of my issues into consideration after I have reported my order multiple times and now the day after still not response after my trying to reach out multiple times. I have requested a full refund and so far haven’t even had anything as far as a reply from them. Disgusted and I will not be using their services ever again.

I placed an order with Uber at 8:14pm I got home late after returning from work so I didn’t have time to cook for me and my son. I thought I’d place an order with a local kfc which was 7 mins drive. As I placed the order I noticed that the address was different so I quickly messaged and then called the Driver to state the error. He said that was fine. That was at 8:20pm. The notification came up stating that my order would be with me at 8:40 (which was fine, I can appreciate they may be busy). At around 8:40 I noticed the driver hadn’t moved on the app, so I messaged and called the driver again to ask why he hadn’t delivered my food. There was no reply. All of a sudden my order had been given to another driver and the arrival time increased to 8:50pm. Again, I had to text the driver and state that the address he was delivering too was not my address. I messaged him on 3 occasions via the app, he said he didn’t receive the message which was very frustrating. I then text him off my personal number to no avail. I looked on the app and saw him moving closer to my address anyway. At 9:10pm my order arrived. My son was starving and the food was cold. We don’t have a microwave at the moment so we are cold food. £20 wasted down the drain and we were left hungry. I message customer support and told them if the situation and all they offered was a credit of 0.29 pence. Disgusting. As for me, I won’t be using Uber Eats again.

I have had this app for a while and must admit I have have a few good experiences. My food has arrived stone cold several times though as Uber has sent the driver on two or three jobs at once as you watch in horror as they go all over London before coming to you. The drivers are also not trustworthy and I have ordered food only to watch them going to other places and then arrive outside my house only for them to cancel the order. Presumably because they have stolen the food and delivered it to one of their friends. Does Uber care about the experience they give you? No not at all. They just fob you off with excuses and insult you. I was given 29p for an order of £24 that partly had to go in the bin and the rest I had to cook myself. Uber say this is acceptable! Not their fault it’s all the restaurants and delivery partners fault. I mean the restaurant has a contract with Uber so it’s nothing to do with them. The delivery partner is contracted by Uber so how they claim it’s not their problem I don’t know! Customer service is rude and ignorant and also near impossible to get to speak to. Just a truly pathetic experience!

I haven’t been using the service long, but got messed around with a few orders, which initially were partially refunded (of course, id rather just receive the food I ordered, especially as it’s usually relied upon as a late night lifeline when life has gotten tough) but hey-ho. Then the other night the driver arrived with half my order, telling me the restaurant wouldn’t release it as I had only partially paid for the meal - which as I’m sure you’ll realise, isn’t possible. It’s an all or nothing payment, so either the restaurant or driver are lying, or Uber failed to pass on the entire payment to the restaurant. Anyhow, in response to me taking this up with customer service, they proceeded to essentially call me a liar and tell me very bluntly that they wouldn’t be doing anything to resolve my issue as they didn’t believe it was true.
I’m leaving this review so others know that they can’t be trusted to deliver what you’re paying them for, and may be prone to add insult to injury if something does go wrong.
I shall now ceremoniously delete this app for good.
It’s not as if there aren’t many other alternative companies who do exactly the same thing.

My son birthday today. He requested a McDonald’s meal. Current situation is Uber eats was an option to home delivery. I set up the app and placed the order for my address. The order completed and I realised on the order screen a generated address what I never seen in my life and never leaved there ever. After that started the horror. I checked on the app to be change the address no option, so I went true what been offered call the driver he mentioned Uber is not paying extra for his extra mile because the address what appears is free delivery zone so not cover his extra but the system take the charge from me to the right address so that unfair. He void to deliver. I called the phone center. She mentioned is not possible to change she ask my address and she mentioned is no results on the map, I found out she couldn’t write correctly a uk postcode after when I told u need to take space between she found but couldn’t help 2 option to offered: go personally to pick up my order what I paid or contact with the next driver to tell the correct address and he may deliver there and tell them call uber to ask the extra coverage. I ended up with £5 extra to the driver. I even couldn’t give a star for that service.

I absolutely love Uber Eats!! They are super fast, polite and I've never had a problem with the service. Two thing’s that could help them is, ☝🏼 they could improve on the range, for example offering Greggs, Cooplands, Krispy Kreme and other deli & dessert shops! Second ✌🏻, they could offer pick up services, for example they could show through the app if they are available in your area, then you choose your driver select the pick up option an example of what it would be used for is, if Hermes have dropped your parcels off at a shop and you can’t get there to collect, as long as it’s not an ID required collection, the Uber driver could collect for you as you can just text the driver the details. You’d pay for the travel and their time a bit like a taxi service but it’s a pick up drop off.
I think if this and the fist suggestion was made available on Uber it would make the service unbeatable and 5⭐️🚖⭐️!!!

I have been a loyal user for Uber eats for a long time now, but now I feel I can no longer continue to support a company that cares so little about its customers. I placed an order at 11pm one night and expected everything to be going as normal, 30 mins pass... a hour passes... an hour and a half passes. And I get in touch with my delivery partner only to find out my order had never been received by the restaurant in the first place. After another half an hour of my delivery partner going around town for no reason and then going back to the restaurant to check again, it was too late and they were already closed. Turns out my first delivery partner decided not to deal with this mess and pawned it onto the next, who also decided to mess me about. My order finally got cancelled at 1am after I TOLD them to cancel and I was left without food for the rest of the night (because everything is closed). If I had been informed of this straight away I could have had a chance to order other food. But no. They decided to leave me hanging. I reported this to Uber eats and they gave me some robot response saying they aren’t going to do anything further. All I wanted was to feel like a valued customer, to have a decent apology and for them to speak to the restaurant to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Failure to do this, means that I can no longer support a company that doesn’t care about its customers. Uber eats, you have lost a loyal customer.

I have used this service a few times one and experienced issues with a couple orders. One was where my allergy instructions were ignored and I got a 1.20 refund for a £25 order. Cross contamination meant I could not eat anything that was delivered. The second was where I ordered a pizza from 2 fat Indians and this order arrived cold. I made a complaint through the app and was told there was nothing they could do !! Total joke right. On each occasion I asked to make a formal complaint and on the first occasion someone stepped in and upped the refund to £3.40 but on the second tone I was copy and pasted the same response to 6 messages I sent with several questions in each message. It was if I was speaking to a computer that was just send the same response and either not understanding or not reading the messages and just pasting the same answer. This is a total joke and the service I have received from this is disgusting. I can understand 1 mistake to get a bad advisor but on several occasions about different issues and even when just trying to make an enquiry it’s a total nightmare. Avoid using them as everything is good until something goes wrong !!

One of the first times I ordered from Uber eats, there did not seem to be a problem. Until we were assigned a driver. They driver collected the food fine and then called to tell us that he was outside. When going outside to collect, we realised he wasn’t there and by this point he had already tapped ‘order complete’ on the app so we could no longer see him on the map. He never shown up in the end so I did not get the food I order. It took so long to get through to Uber eats for a refund, as they don’t have clear contact details / no number to call when things like this happens. I did get a refund in the end but I would of liked my food! On the next time we ordered food, we were kept waiting for 2 hours before our food was delivered. On the app, it kept saying the driver was at the restaurant, then it would take that away and alter the expected delivery time to later. This happened for 2 hours and like I mentioned before, we could only contact the restaurant and not Uber eats as there is no number. However the restaurant had our food ready, it was in fact Ubers poor service. I will not be ordering from here again and they need to get better with being able to contact their customers and customers being able to contact them.

Need to add an address? Sure, there’s an option for that, and you can use a search tool to help find your address. You might need to add some extra info, like the right door number, or a secondary road. Then you change the delivery type between lots of confusingly-similar options (‘leave at door’, ‘meet at door’ and ‘meet outside’ are not meaningfully different, and it only tells you after choosing that you can’t choose 2 of the 3 because of COVID-19). Does the app handle this? Well, no, it discards your address overrides without any warning. You carry on with your order thinking it’s fine, but actually, it turns out the flow to add an address has nothing to do with the order flow. So maybe your food will turn up where you are. Maybe it’ll go somewhere unspecific on your street. Maybe, if you’re really unlucky, it’ll go to somewhere you lived 2 years ago when you last ordered because there was £10 off and they haven’t added any worthwhile restaurants since.
Better hope it’s right though, because customer service is non-existent and you’re forced to call the driver, who may or may not be able take your call and may or may not be able to re-route (I don’t blame the drivers; the app should cater for this).

EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! THEY CALL IT HELP...... WHAT HELP??? It is non existent! We have had trouble a couple of times over the past month with missing food but tonight it was diabolical! We ordered a Family Bundle, Calamari and Cookie dough from Bella Italia. When it arrived we received 6 Big Dog hot dogs. So we contacted Uber eats and was told: We understand that these issues do arise on occasion, but not often at this regularity. I am sorry but it isn’t my fault if your drivers make errors or the companies that you work with make errors, penalise them not the customers! I did not want a refund I just wanted the correct order. So I then contacted the restaurant for the second time after there advice was to contact Uber Eats and they kindly helped us, they told us that they customer that got our food took it back to them and that they was going to cook us fresh food if we could collect as obviously there was no Uber driver to deliver it. So my wife had to go out and do the drivers job and go take the hot dogs back and collect the CORRECT order. In my opinion it is not our fault, it is driver error and we should be compensated. I also agree with others that the customer service has gone down hill recently. Extremely unhappy! I wish we had Deliveroo in our area as I much prefer their service!

Very bad customer services, poor communication and please beware they mislead their customers. If I could rate lower than one star I would happily do.
I already contacted customer service whom did nothing about my complaint at all and weren’t willing to help either. At this rate you would have no customers left. After your recent reply to me asking me to write yourselves again I sent you another message but your reply again is extremely poor you have said I needed to contact you working 48 hours but I contacted you as soon as the food was delivered please look things properly before you respond to customers with incorrect information.
Stop replying with write to us and we would sort this out as I have done this many times and you keep coming back with the same answer that you won’t do anything or tell me as you reported this outside of the 48hrs we can’t do anything but incorrect as I said I reported it straight away. Stop responding by saying give us more details and we would look at the details and improve because I have did that already and your response is always the same.

I’ve used ubereats for nearly two years and at the start I was really pleased with the service as I was a uni student and switched between living at home and in my accommodation yet there was never any issues. However I was always disappointed by the lack of availability with different restaurants and fast food places, other companies offered a wider range, but the glaring issue now is the complete lack of customer care, support and a total lack of quality. I’ve noticed that for the past few months ,at least, my orders arrive an hour late or more, while thats not the apps fault there customer care is! They say they will email u back to address issues and they never do like when I had food not fully deliver and incorrect items in my meal. They also never sent an order that I placed to the fast food place and I waited for an hour before I phoned and the fast food company actually told me they never received an order but when they checked eventually they were able to get me my order. I’m not the type of person so leave negative reviews but I think people need to be warned because if a customer is getting worried if they’re order is even going to come and they doubt whether to use the app or not then there is a definite problem.

I have been a loyal customer for years however the service has definitely deteriorated, missing items in every second order. Compared to another similar app where I never seem to have anything go wrong and if it does the customer service is great and everything is put right immediately- Uber eats customer service seems to have also deteriorated.
I have now deleted the app as I ordered last and I got a notification to say there was a problem putting the order through please place the order again. So I did then realised I was charged twice and there were two orders. I only ever received tracking for one order.
I’m extremely upset having paid double for something and the customer service has been so unhelpful saying there is nothing they can do I should have cancelled the second order- but I wasn’t even aware there was a second order?! No tracking or anything. I didn’t “accidentally” order twice I was told to by the Uber app. This is a major fault with the app, and as I can see with similar reviews hasn’t only happened to me. To not offer a refund is simply wrong.

Can’t even begin to explain how much patience it took for me not to lose my rag at this company, so I thought I’d warn anyone looking to download this app as it’s not as good as it seems on their adverts. Over the course of 2 years that I’ve been using this app, it’s just got worse and worse until I am now going to delete it and use something else to get my food delivered. 9/10 times I order from somewhere, the driver either “forgot” to pick up a bit of my order or the restaurant “forgot” to put something I paid for in the drivers bag” when I contact the restaurant or the customer service help option on this app, neither service hold themselves responsible for the mess up, and just try and refund the money instead of getting in contact with each other to somehow rectify the problem. Throwing money back at me isn’t helping when I specifically asked for a product. Whenever I have complained to the uber eats customer service I get this scripted email about how “ Uber Eats has certain quality standards we hold restaurant partners to when they fulfill an order and we understand that your expectations weren’t met on this occasion” utter lies. Be warned when you use this app, IF you use this app, you will not get the things you asked for all of the time, and it will happen more than once, more than often.

Boyfriend and I were looking for something to eat and were originally going to get some nachos to share. We decided to instead order McDonald’s, something we do quite often, and I deleted the nachos from my basket and completed our McDonald’s order instead. When I tried to order the McDonald’s it said the location was too far even though we regularly order from there and my house is very close to McDonald’s, I checked my address everything was correct so I tried to order it again. The order went through this time but it instead ordered the nachos I previously removed from my basket rather than the McDonald’s. I immediately pressed cancel but the app refreshed and it didn’t cancel so I called customer support who were completely useless and by the time they actually got in contact with the restaurant they said that the driver was already there so if I cancelled it I would still be charged and there would be absolutely no way of getting a refund despite it being the stupid app’s fault that the order messed up. Safe to say that I’ll be using deliveroo from now on, I’ve uninstalled Uber and don’t plan on ever reinstalling it.

I have been a happy customer for a few years now but feel that certain changes in the app could have been designed and executed better. My first concern with the service is the option to include a tip for the driver before placing my order. I have tipped drivers in the past when placing my order, only to be kept waiting for delivery well past the estimated arrival time feeling disappointed with the service and tipped the driver for it. I strongly feel that incentivising the driver for their service should only be requested after the delivery has been completed. Not only that but I feel that not including a tip when placing your order discourages the driver to accept your order causing longer waiting times.
My second concern is that customer service is always “unavailable” when having a problem with my order. I am always assisted almost instantaneously with orders that i do not have a problem with but need help to change my order, yet every time an order has gone past the latest arrival time slot I am unable to be connected with the support team. Not being able to be connected with support has caused 2hour delays with past orders, some of which i had to go collect my order from the restaurant myself.

This app has its up sides and it’s downside however if anything goes wrong during an order do not expect to get much help from customer services. I have placed orders on this app before with no problem however I placed an order with the wrong delivery address. When speaking to customer services, I was told that the address would not be able to be changed until after I had been matched with a delivery driver and would have to negotiate with the driver whether my order, which I had already paid for btw, would be delivered to the correct address. Once matched with a driver there was no contact info forcing me to collect my order in person with the delivery driver there. On top of that customer services cancelled my order and stated that my order had been refunded despite my explicitly telling them that I had my order. A call to the restaurant confirmed that my order was in fact not paid for and I would need to pay. This is a ridiculous practice by the app and customer services who quite frankly did not want to know and could have quite possibly left me in hot water had I not called the restaurant back to make sure.

I just deleted the app. I’ve been using uber eats for years however the service deteriorated in the past few months. My partner ordered pizza, it was ready for collection for 1.5hrs, we tried cancelling by calling customer service but we were advised this is not possible and we should accept the order no matter what (it was past midnight at this point). After some time it was finally picked up. Pizza was stone cold when we received it but uber eats would not want to refund.
Last night i used the app to order, i was required to place order within 4 mins to get free delivery. When i did submit my order i received a push notification that order did not go through and that i should try again in a few mins. So i did in 5 mins. To my surprise, delivery guy turns up with 2 exactly same orders and of course i was charged twice. I looked at the app and there were 2 orders on the list. However there was never any tracking for the first one and as i said i got a notification it did not go through. I refused to accept 2 sets of orders. I emailed customer service and they refused to help whatsoever, just the standard reply they understand my frustration but could kot help.
Anyway, app deleted and have told friends about this experience to warn them. Apparently they had the same complaints. Terrible customer service. You refuse to refund for a terrible service provided, yes you got the small pennies for now but lost the custom.

We consumers will always choose the best available options out there for us right. When UberEats came I thought of giving it a try. There was a lot of promos so I thought of ordering this Christmas. While browsing and adding items to cart I mistakenly pressed place Order (which I didn’t want because I wanted to order multiple items and there was a promo which wouldn’t apply for orders under a certain amount). I immediately pressed cancel without a second delay. Now the app says they restaurant have started preparing and order cannot be cancelled. So I have to contact customer support for that on phone. They took 10 minutes to cancel the order, then said I’d still be charged for this. Now I lost my coupon, have a negative amount in my account. Why would now someone would go back to using it!!?? Also while ordering it doesn’t even show that a negative amount is added. There’s almost nothing in the whole UI to tell you that negative amount is added until the delivery man picks up the package
TBH the app UI/UX both are very user friendly and intuitive. But it takes only 1 bad experience. So I hope you guys do something about this 0.1s “started preparing thing” & make the negative amount visible.
till then, Going back to my previous app which could handle these situations without such hassle and direct chat communication.

I heard many times from drivers that they do not have trust on Uber and recently I was told from a few drivers that uber cheats on them. I wanted to share this info with you guys.
1) A driver said uber gives more jobs to new drivers and he said to me he has also proof screen shot of mobile that his income does not match with number of hours he works if you compare with same days and hours with new drivers.
2) uber cheats on estimation pick up time. This is very interesting to hear. When ever uber sends a job to driver for example 6 minutes away from rider, when you see the route through google map of waze it becomes 12-15 minutes some how in actual time. So driver has to drive more to catch the rider. Basically if uber shows the right time for picking up the rider, driver may reject the job and will not accept. This is cheeky way to deal with rider and driver. Even if driver notices the wrong picking up time and if driver cancels the job it will effect cancellation rate and in one month time driver may get suspended by uber for many cancellations rate. I hope you gets the trick.
3) uber doesn't have operator to answer the emails. Basically they have robot and computer itself picks key words from people and drivers emails and match them and sends the email. A driver showed me his emails exchange with uber and proved to me the fact.
4) there are many issues with uber and uber cheats on drivers at any possible way.......

Extremely bad company to use as a service! I ordered pizzahut, driver messaged saying he had arrived but didnt, arrives late saying he went to wrong address, i said oh no hope my food hasnt gone cold, all my food was cold, he said all in one sentence- sorry i cant do nothing thank you bye and walked off! I said thats not ok to do, he then replied i dont talk to rude people! When i wasnt rude to the slightest, i also noticed once he left i was missing the icecream, tried making complaint to uber eats they refused refund and said they couldnt do more than refund me a mere £1.73 refund for missing icecream! I then done research and found so many people have had the exact same bad service from both the drivers and company. Please save your money go use deliveroo or just eat. Do not use ubereats, this company needs to be shut down! The worst service i have experienced and clearly no improvement no matter how much they say they are trying to because as you can see SO many people are complaining about the same things! I will be telling everyone i know and take this as far as i can this is unacceptable yet nothing clearly gets done apart from- we are sorry for your frustration we are aways looking to improve! Terrible service from Uber staff

While at first the service seemed good after a few months the drivers either don’t bring food or the staff at McDonald’s never properly check food.. while this service offers delivery if the food isn’t delivered yet paid for you expect your money back regards to how many times this has happened.
If a driver hasn’t bought food and you call the restaurant to confirm this then a full refund should awarded that’s what’s been paid for.. yet UBER think it’s acceptable to keep your money which is not acceptable over the last few months the money they have taken and not returned is a joke. There’s no way to get in touch with UBER or the drivers. They should also provide you with a full service if your food isn’t delivered yet paid for then the driver should collect the food that was missing totally useless crap service rip off if you ask me. There staff provided me with emails basically saying I was a liar even though the staff at the shop new the food hadn’t been delivered the UBER staff don’t call the restaurant or the driver to find out if the food has been delivered
Also the drivers are never the person it says delivering the food so you never know what’s really going on.
I don’t want a response off UBER as they are not doing there best to give you a better service they just want there money

Have been refused a refund on missing food items because I submitted an issue one month prior, also for missing food items, and not even from the same restaurant.
I was told “The nature, frequency and similarity of the complaints received are not indicative of the service we offer and are highly atypical of any one account.”
Obviously unsatisfied with the response I then resubmitted the complaint and wrote that the food items were definitely missing and I would like a refund as soon as possible. The response to this was even worse. I was told they were unable to make any adjustments and they followed it up with an accusatory statement. “Please note that Uber monitors user activity and reserves the right to deactivate accounts found in breach our Terms of Service, which includes abuse of appeasements or refunds”
Not sure how they came to the conclusion that I am lying and I think this is very poor service. The fact that it can’t be proved or disproved begs question for a better system? Additionally why am I being penalised for correctly using the complaints system? Maybe if you don’t want people using the system more than once then don’t mess up on orders?

Order a lot from Uber eats and a few of my orders were wrong or missing items, had no problem resolving the issue the first couple of times but then was denied a refund or a replacement of my order which was wrong and even the Uber receipt didn’t match up with the McDonald’s receipt I received after delivery, upon sending the two receipts to prove that my order was wrong/missing items, Uber still declined a replacement or refund on the missing item. So either McDonald’s have messed up the orders more frequently than normal or your drivers are taking the food out and we are being penalised for this when we have to complain about missing or wrong items, or even receipts not matching up! I order a lot so inevitably the more you order, the more likely chance that you’ll get a messed up order due to frequency, especially at peak times, but to then pass the blame on to the customer and not offer any replacement is disgusting! Is it daylight robbery! I have paid for an item I haven’t received and now I’m down the money and nothing to show for it! But like Uber say “our decision is final”
You have lost my custom thanks to this! And if I can find the right trading/business agency to report you to I will be doing so!

What can I say. I have been a fan of Uber Eats for a while however with the past few orders, I have often had the dips not being delivered with my chicken nuggets from McDonalds. I managed to get my money back with this item on my last order however because it happened again I decided to challenge this directly with Uber. Instead of them apologising they shake off any responsibility and say I should ring the restaurant directly and inform them myself! They also say they can’t guarantee delivery of the dips even though the dips section is on THEIR menu and on THEIR app and that you CAN’T complete your order unless you fill out the dip section side on the menu when ordering the nuggets! Makes no sense to me. Take dip order off your menu/app then. What is the point if you can’t guarantee delivery of these items?
Just got another response from them. Awful. Just awful. Don’t waste your time with them.

After ordering off this app for most of the year all of a sudden I can’t as to far away from the restaurant it says , I live in the same place as always trying to order from the same restaurant which is less than a five minute drive away from me . No way to actually report this or speak to anyone for help on the actual app .... app needs to be set out better and customer should be able to speak to someone from customer service easily... the last few months nothing as been easy when trying to order of this app. Finally managed to place a order after hour of waiting and no way to get help on the app rang the restaurant to say there is no drivers they don’t work at this time restaurant very pleasant and apologetic even though not there fault . Can’t cancel order on the app so had to phone up , now shame can’t say the same about the staff on Uber eats customers services no apology flat tone and quiet rude maybe that’s why there’s no way to review Uber eats service. The app shouldn’t let you order if there is no possible way of getting the order to the Customer

I installed the app for the first time (already had an account) and had a look through my previous purchases. I accidentally pressed the order button when viewing my previous orders and this had gone through straight away with no security prompt at all. I was trying to close the app with the home button but it accidentally hit the bottom banner at the time. The order got accepted within 0.1 seconds but the restaurant wouldn’t pick up the phone at all. I called and messaged UberEats to cancel the order ASAP but this was too late. I couldn’t cancel right after ordering because the order got accepted very quickly! UberEats did nothing about this and said that they can cancel the order but not give a refund.
Following this, I made a poor restaurant choice and ordered some food from there, attempting to take advantage of some discount codes I had. This resulted in poor quality food and a milkshake that was filled just a little above hallway. I complained via the app and got a response within 5 minutes saying a full review had been made and that no adjustments will be made to this order.
Overall, the security and customer service of this app is very poor. It is definitely not the place to try new restaurants/take outs. If you wish to take advantage of any offers, I suggest you only use it with restaurants that you know provide a quality service.

Missing Items and Food contamination

I have recently been getting a lot of my items either missing, or there is hair, pieces of other food, or questionable substances on my burgers. Today I ordered a chicken sandwich from McDonalds and chewed into the sandwich, as I pulled back clear sticky liquid that wasn’t mayo drooled out of my sandwich and into the box. I reported the problem and was met with a message saying that due to that fact that I’ve been asking for refunds for missing items, I will not be getting one, even the the food was contaminated? I have shown proof and even taken pictures of the contamination within the food and you’re not going to give me a refund for something I ordered that was clearly not safe for anyone to eat?
For those who want to download this app don’t, I use this app the order with family all the time and will have items missing, contaminated food and broken packaging. Asking for a refund for something you bought that was clearly not up to standard is reasonable, but apparently can’t even report genuine issues.

DELIVEROO IS BETTER! WORST APP AND SERVICE EVER EXPERIENCED

Three occasions now of where my order has apparently been ‘accepted by the restaurant’ but never arrived. And don’t bother using the app to report it. All you’ll get is an automated response after waiting 2 hours for an order not to be delivered. No sympathy or compensation which is not good enough at all. If there’s not enough drivers don’t accept the order and make it look like it’s going to be delivered for 2 hours, by when a persons hunger is gone. Cancel it straight away. And to top it off there is no phone number to enquire on what’s happening with the order (very convenient for them). How ridiculous that you have to wait around for 2 hours before finding out your order is randomly cancelled on the app with no explanation?! If there was a support line to call, I could have called in and found out straight away. The whole system is crap. In this day and age how can a company operate without a dedicated telephone line. I shouldn’t have to go through the app to report the issue, only to receive an automated reply after reporting. Technology should not be replacing human interaction to this extent!
ALSO this first happened during the month of Ramadan while fasting for 19 hours, I waited to break my fast with an order only to be disappointed the same way. I’ve switched to Deliveroo and I’m happier with their service. Save yourself the trouble and do the same.

While the process of ordering is fairly intuitive, over the last several months the quality control of the food and delivery has been unacceptable. Nearly every order placed over the last several months has had issues, such as: expected wait times increasing from 15 minutes to 3 hours with no clear way of cancelling the order, as well as drenched, soggy and cold food being delivered. This has occurred so frequently that it is typically best to avoid ordering any drinks as they are nearly always delivered split. Even more common is the consistency of incorrect items being delivered, from a lack of dips or sides to entire incorrect orders being delivered with a large price disparity between them. While mixups inevitably can happen, the rate at which this has been occurring is not acceptable.
There is no way to immediately contact staff with issues or problems encountered with deliveries such as over the phone or through web chat, rather this service relies on email. Email contact has ultimately solved some of these issues when they have been raised, but it would be vastly preferable to have contact with someone, live when addressing issues. As it’s unclear what should be done when incorrect orders have been delivered or for missing items.

After using for a few months I realised something.. Just Eat offers many of the same places but with no delivery fee! Sometimes even the prices themselves are slightly less too, so using Just Eat is saving up me £3-5 every time I order!
I still use Uber Eat when a particular place isn’t available on Just Eat or Deliveroo.. or at least, I did until an incident 2 weeks ago. I ordered milkshakes which stated delivery between 20-25 minutes. The establishment took an extra 5 mins preparing the order, but I didn’t mind that.. all was still going well, then I noticed the driver stop just by my house. I messaged him to explain how to locate my premises.. then he drove away. 30 minutes later of him driving in circles, ignoring instructions as his English was poor, Uber Eats automated system noticed the extreme delay and credited my account with a £2 promotional credit. HOWEVER, when the milkshakes arrived they were in a poor state. They weren’t cold and fresh like they should have been, but had warmed up and kinda melted. Uber Eats refused to refund me, simply stating that I can ‘leave delivery feedback’ - absolutely no care for customer satisfaction, thus I’m avoiding Uber Eats as much as possible.

Every time I order an item from the app it promises a certain arrival time but lately the quality of their deliveries has been on decline. Not only has the app forgotten where I live (now sending drivers to the next block constantly, even though it’s the same address) which I could understand if it’s a map issue but not only that their estimate of arrival are not based on anything and sometimes I’ve waited hours on end without hearing from either the app or the driver. WHEN YOU WANT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE ONGOING ORDER (or ask where it is) THEY BASICALLY JUST LOOP A TEXT SAYING THEYRE PREPARING BUT BASICALLY IT MEANS GO BACK TO YOUR BUSINESS WE WILL GET THERE WHEN WE WANT. This is very problematic because I’ve had times where I order dinner and it wouldn’t arrive until midnight or later and the food would arrive cold.
Oh and one of the biggest issues is that no one ever comes in the vehicles they say they will come in, causing confusion.
Also they just happen to give the food to anyone who walks by, with minimum questioning. I’ve lost orders to strangers because of the app’s lack of control over this.

Placed a food order and due to the system not recognising my address it place the pin in a random address, upon multiple tries to move then pin it refreshes itself back to the original spot.
Of course because of this food arrived late and cold. I got abuse from the delivery driver when they finally could work out where I was after multiple attempts to call them.
On this occasion it wasn’t the delivery driver or the restaurants fault but it’s the app it’s self! And obviously had to give a horrible rating to both when it wasn’t their fault.
Contacted support to ask them to correct this however their stepmother to “help” were a standard copy and paste set of instructions that clearly didn’t work despite many emails saying that these instructions are not working!! Clearly couldn’t be bothered with wanting to help so the only other alternative is to just permanently delete my account and the app and go elsewhere. Deliveroo and just eat can pick my address up instantly and know exactly where to deliver to but god knows why Uber eats can’t!
Their resilience to abuse from the delivery driver was to refresh the app! Needless to say food was inedible. Could have at least offered better support!

Customer service is shocking avoid using

The app itself is fine and does what it says on the tin, the problems start when you have an issue with an order, which happens with increasing frequency that the customer service is faceless and poor. You can speak to someone upto the point when it is delivered after that you can only use the app to report an issue. If you had called the restaurant yourself they would resolve the issue and dispatch the missing items which is simply not possible with the app you have to wait upto 24 hours for a response. During which time you have half the family with food the other without and no way to resolve the issue straight away.....just a refund a day later. Avoid using this app if you don’t want to be disappointed and unable to resolve a regular miss-hap with your order, just go direct to the restaurant as things like this happen and they will resolve the issue by doing what they said they would do when you pay them and that is just deliver what I ordered.

Best not to use Uber eats. When I used the first time the food arrived late and was very cold from mc Donald’s. I got a refund from Uber so decided to give it another try. The second time the food arrived on time however only one pizza arrived (the one I did not order) and one pizza was missing. I called the restaurant and they said we can’t do anything as I was in a CONTRACT with Uber and NOT them. This is the reason why I say don’t use Uber eats as you won’t be able to resolve the issue straight away and they don’t have a telephone support service. I email Uber using the in app help but been two days and no response. I have no food and also out of pocket. I got an email from Uber just now stating they are experiencing high volumes of emails and they have marked it as resolved and that’s the end of it, where is my pizza?? It’s a joke. I have no resolution from them and you can’t expect this lengthy wait time for them to get back as we need to order more food and we can’t stay hungry. I ended using just eat and had no problems. Best to stick to just eat or order direct. Even the restaurant I ordered from said I don’t understand why you are using Uber eats. Well now I understand why not to use the service. Ubereats absolutely disgusting! i ordered food, paid for my delivery which was £2.50 . and then ubereats bloody decides to give two orders with the same driver in completely two different direction and my order was last!!! I asked the driver what happened why it took so long? He showed me the map on his phone that he had to travel ! Man i feel sorry for uber drivers!! Lets say my food was on road for 50 mins! in a freezing cold snowy evening!! I live in old street 2.3miles from where the restaurant was, first order was another 2 miles from where the restaurant was!
driver had to pass the restaurant to come to me when ubereats could have sent another driver for my order i mean after all i did pay for my BLOODY DELIVERY YOU BLOOD SUCKERS! I see so many drivers waiting for orders even the driver who delivered my food told me so many of his friends waiting outside the same restaurant where he picked up the order from, he told he didn't want to take two orders as he gets paid less when they get orders but it will effect his “rating”! Uber eats are trying to maximize their profit and DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS OR DRIVERS. Avoid ubereats order from deliveroo, just-eat or even hungry house. I get takeaways 5 days a week thats everyweek. Uber eats is the worst!

I can’t even register to try this ap!! “Sign up failed, please verify your information and try again”. Used the contact us on their website, I’m emailed back with the usual, send us a screen shot, download the latest version (which I had thought was an obvious theory anyway). So I try to reply to the email, only email replies are blocked! I receive an email to say use the help feature in the app (which I can’t use). So I go through the hassle of another message via the website of which a screenshot can’t be sent by so I write the error message out. I’m told the same thing. Message them agaaain and I get somewhere, or at least I thought, they offer to set the account up for me. Brilliant! Nope, I go through the website, send email addy and phone number, to be told again to check update of app and to send a screen shot. 😡. I didn’t want a takeaway anyway!
Edit: I can only contact as rider/restaurant/business. There is no direct link that I can see to make contact on the link you provided. The page says use help in the app, I can’t use the app as I cannot register! Circles!
Edit again: there is nowhere on the help page to comment or ask a question when using my mobile! I am only referring to Uber eats. The app cannot be used for anything until registering, I cannot register!
