Handy and nice interface, questionable advice and ethics

Update: cancelled my subscription and had been charged for the whole year. Misleading’cancel anytime’ comms. TL;DR, don’t bother with premium, the advice is crap and it doesn’t sync with Fitbit, despite claiming it does, and you will be charged more than expected
I find this app handy and I like how it looks, but the advice you get in premium is pretty crap. There have been days where eg I’ve been under my proteins and it’s advised me to eat cheese, while at the same time telling me to ‘drop’ the cheese that I did eat that day. Another example - today all my macros are under and despite having entered a glass of Prosecco as my entire lunch (I know), it told me to ‘drop’ the EV olive I’d eaten (1.5 teaspoons) and then under my fats recommended I eat walnut oil to up my fat intake.
Also it doesn’t actually sync properly with my Fitbit, despite advertising that it does. It only pulls through activity data that I enter into Fitbit manually (eg yoga); any activity that Fitbit recognises automatically (eg any cardio, my steps) doesn’t pull through, so it’s pretty useless.
I’m going to cancel my premium as, while I like the IA for food tracking, the premium features are just pretty useless, and I’m annoyed by the very questionable nutritional advice.

Garbage..

This app is garbage.. I didn’t even bother opting for the premium version because almost all of the recipes I was able find elsewhere on the internet.. and not just similar recipes, the exact same ones.. trying to charge people £18 a month for collating someone else’s content and counting a few calories is a disgrace..
Pity really, because it seemed interesting..

Overpriced

I was quite interested until I saw the price.
Yet another app wanting expensive subscription payments. How does this type of app justify a subscription rather than a one off payment, It is not providing lots of constantly updated valuable content like music or films that you would otherwise have to purchase or rent, it just provides calorie management functions .... A Good deal for the developer who just rakes in money for very little work post development but a Very Bad deal for the consumer especially with so many people getting into debt!!
Way overpriced for something that just counts calories and recommends a few recipes and goals, not rocket science and there are free apps that will do most of the work of this one and much more accurately.
Photos have many limitations especially with food mixtures and processed foods.
Buy a pair of scales, read the calories on the back of the food pack and google the calories in fresh food. SAVE your money, it may take a bit longer but will be more accurate, you will develop a better understanding of the calories in various foods and you will burn more calories doing it!
However if you have more money than sense you are probably just the customer this sort of app developer is looking for .....

Bit confused

I am a bit confused with this app because the rating is a 4+ on the App Store but when I go to put my age in it say I have to be 16 or over please fix your rating because a lot of young people like me would probably be very confused.

It Thinks Shredded Wheat is a Turkey Breast!

This app claims to be let you simply take a picture of your food and it will tell you all about its nutrition. No more entering in food details yourself. What could be easier than snapping a quick pic? Well as they say, if it sounds too good to be true.... I was intrigued, so I downloaded the app, poured a bowl of shredded wheat, and took a picture. After it finished analysing my photo, it asked me to select what my food was from a few options. The foods the app “analysed” my food to be included tofu, turkey breast, banana, veal, and an apple. That’s understandable; I mix those foods up all the time! Do you want to know what it didn’t suggest? Shredded wheat! If you are looking for a funny what-will-it-come-up-with-now app, this is a good one. If you are looking for a helpful, easy way to track food by simply taking a photo, I don’t think one actually exists.

Rip off. Avoid.

After an initial free trial I’ve now found that one week later, £59.99 has been charged on my iTunes account and I’ve been put onto the premium version without being notified in advanced. Criminal behaviour. Apple and the developer - hang your heads in shame. Worst App Store scam I’ve ever seen.

Please.

The app is not bad, but it doesn’t recognise many foods and bar codes in the UK at least, the app has quite a few errors and mistakes but it is promising, I’d like to ask please for the developers of the app not to give up with it, and thrive to make it the best app in its category too to how easy it would make lifes

Version 2.8

Not bad

It's handy but not essential
It doesn't recognise a lot of foods or bar codes in the UK
Even less if there are a lot of items on the plate
You can only use their suggestions for what is on the plate, not what is actually there if it isn't in their database
It could do with updating for various foods
I don't know how long I will use it, I hate this number that comes up telling me to take a photo and then trying to name it
I don't know what weight it is, how much fat, protein, carbs in a meal I just cook it then eat it, all my food is either fresh or frozen,
I don't weigh my food, if it looks about right that will do me
