Want to personalize your newsfeed even further? Block sources you do not want to receive news from by clicking on the “blocking” sign within an article. You can always unblock a source by going to the menu in the upper left corner of the main view and then click on “Blocked Sources”.

My favourite, but….
Very good app. My go to everyday for subjects that interest me with no added rubbish. Reader mode is most useful. Articles could be sorted into their categories better though.

The app does not respect privacy
Each news site on the app has its own privacy selector. This leads to most of them misleading the public. First of all, some have thousands of partner companies spying on people and no Deny all option so if you do not want to give access to them, you have to block one by one. Clearly that goes against GDPR and the privacy people want.
To make matters worse, sometimes you see a list where these partners are marked as off, but if you click on them, you realise they are cheeky enough to allow themselves to do whatever they want. But you don't know who they are until you click on them. How misleading is that?
App is deleted from all my devices
It should be a zero star.

A good supplemental news aggregator
I use this alongside Apple news+. I use Apple news plus for magazines the Apple news needs some work regarding categorising news into sections as it’s not intuitive and awkward.
This does what Apple currently cannot seem to do and give me my news how I like it, clear, categorised and different news publishers and outlets.
I particularly like the feature where articles can be turned into a slimmed down clearer read away from the website style.
Very good stuff.
Would like to see the option to have the squid icon with a white background or a slew of different colours so it pops more on my homescreen

Love this app
Honestly think it’s better than apple news. Just offering the option to switch countries with one tap is a such important feature that many news apps miss.
Would love to see more news sources but nevertheless, it’s the most useful news app I have found out there. I’m sticking to it. Thank Squid Team!!

Dark Mode for Read Mode
Please add Dark Mode for Read Mode! And reduce the top and bottom with buttons. They take too much out of the reading space and it looks clumsy.

Good app just have some suggestions
Please could you add a search bar and the ability to order tabs to preference. I would not like my politics and pop culture tabs to be touching.
