Irritating pet

Despite my original review (below) I am still playing in 2024. I love the game, learnt how to play to my best advantage energy wise. However the pet that accompanies Diggy everywhere is really irritating. It does nothing for the game except try to get you to buy pet energy. Sorry not at this location! (Developers didn’t comment on my last review so expect them to ignore this one too) I love this game but I am only giving it 3 stars cos I am getting a bit fed up of the amount of energy used for some of the blocks - 280 per block for the majority of the blocks on the level I am on. Come on boys sort it out! The other thing I wonder is who are these people who give positive feedback to the watching of the videos to get extra energy. All I've seen are reviews saying the system crashes after they have watched the video and then no extra energy received. Not going to bother with the vids anymore - too much hassle to restart all the time for no reward!!

I did like this game, but not now.

Was a great game. Now each block costs a ridiculous amount of energy. Every time you move a page you get an advert. - far too many adverts. Some blocks cost 60,000 energy and I have to wait a whole day just to remove that one block. Bye bye unless you change.

I love playing Diggy and I have been for years. There are somethings however that do annoy me.

First, the pets, I feel that some missions have been altered to involve the pets and now some of the events are ruined because of this and make it much harder to complete events. It’s very frustrating knowing you have plenty of energy to complete the event but the pets energy is stopping you from doing this.

Second, Sometimes there are too many events happening at the same time and I don’t really understand why you need to do this as it puts pressure on the players to complete them. Some people say, well don’t do them then, but when you suffer from Autism or ADHD, it’s not that simple to just put down, I’ve worked with these people and it can be very tough.

Third, I really don’t know why you show adds of Diggy that doesn’t look like the game. Diggy is a good game but placing false adds is only going to give you a bad name.

Hope these problems can be ironed out.

There’s a lot to like in this charming game

Update: It took 2 months, but the adverts have finally stopped crashing.

It is a shame the advert service on iOS games is so poor, as it damages the experience across the app store, and must cause the devs with integrity a lot of headaches.

Update: The game is still fine, though the pet mechanic spoils the flow even if you don’t hate them as many others seem to. However, the constant advert crashing on iOS ruined Christmas events, lost me millions of xp and has made the game too frustrating to enjoy until this is finally fixed. (Original review follows): Diggy recently celebrated his 10th birthday for good reasons. There’s a huge number of hand-crafted levels, and the artwork and gentle stories are full of silly humour which I’ve found myself getting drawn into. There’s quite a hardcore min/max energy management element which you will need to get into to avoid getting frustrated, but I have never felt the need to spend real money, and a lot of players who do spend seem to do it out of loyalty, not because they need to. Adverts are optional (though hard to resist sometimes for the rewards). The puzzles feel like enjoyable rewards for digging through to them rather than a tough challenge. The devs continue to provide support and new content regularly. There’s a friendly community and online wikis if you get stuck. I’ve been playing this daily for a year now, but unlike many other (especially gacha) games you can happily play Diggy on a casual irregular basis without it mattering if you prefer.

Do not download this game! Too many adverts pop up and stop you from playing, game crashes due to adverts. Clearly from the amount of people complaining, it’s obvious that your game servers are the problem. Please listen to all this feedback and stop all these adverts!

This WAS my favourite game.

This used to be my favourite game but since the last update it is frustrating You watch an advert which supposedly gives you double treats except with at least 75% of the adverts the game crashes. You have to get rid of the game and reload. You also lose the double treat. The games and challenges now eat that much energy that even making food all the time and using every opportunity to gain energy, I’m lucky if I can play for more than a few minutes. Add to that, there’s now a stupid animal buddy who has to tread on paws. It’s energy is eaten up very quickly so even if diggy has energy left it’s impossible to continue. Sort it out. There are many people not happy with the game anymore. You’ve ruined it and I’m sick of watching videos that don’t give rewards.

Update. They have contacted me and said I can contact them. What a joke. None of the drop downs available are suitable for the problem and the only other way is to join in the forum.

In other words. I’m wasting my time.

Not the first time I’ve received no help from the developers.

Loved this game, but now not so more…

I have always loved this game, and play it daily but with all the adverts freezing as soon as it gets to the end of the 30 secs (and the only way to get out of it is to close the app and re-open), it is fast becoming a game I will drift off from. Not sure if this is just and iOS/ipad issue but please can you sort it out so I can go back to enjoying this every day when I finish work!

Ruined

Totally ruined the game by introducing those annoying dogs or cats , you can only play for a short time now because of the amount of dog pads in the game ,the game was almost perfect but now , i rarely play because of this. Good BUT

A really good game BUT after watching almost every advert the game locks up and the only way to continue playing is to close the game down and reopen it and then you have lost part of your game. Great game but………

I absolutely love this game and would definitely have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the adverts that keep crashing/freezing the game. I really don’t mind having adverts and happily watch them for extra energy but it gets very frustrating when you watch one it then freezes and you don’t get the energy. Plus the only way to get the game to work again is to reboot the phone 🙄🙄🙄. Don’t get me wrong it’s not all the adds that do it but enough be annoying…..

Ads keep crashing

I don’t mind watching ads to get more energy or other bonuses but just recently every advert just crashes and I have to restart. This is getting so frustrating! I can’t open the daily boxes or get the extra bonus on clearing a level. I’m about to give up and just delete the game through pure frustration.

Adverts locking out the game 😢😡

Been playing this a while now and love the mind diversion.

However, for a couple of months now the bonus adverts are freezing out the game. So after waiting 30+ seconds watching road match we don’t want. The game freezes and you have to shut down restart and get no bonus.

Ads not giving rewards

As others gave reported, the ads in the game have stopped working properly. They freeze and/or you are unable to exit the advertisements without having to restart the game. And you therefore do not get the associated rewards. It’s no use telling us to close other apps using task manager when this problem is occurring on iPhone. Multiple users are clearly affected so it appears to be a bug which your developers and advertisers will need to fix

Enjoying it with minor flaws

Have been playing for just under 2 weeks, really enjoying the game especially the puzzles that make you have to think about how to progress past. My only disappointment is that it can get quite ‘samey’ from level to level aside from the puzzles, and the in game purchases really don’t go far even if you buy the daily deals. I’ve blown £10 on 1 level before in about 8 minutes and still couldn’t complete the level with my purchase for extra energy.

Overall really enjoying it, not too many ads unless you want them (for example you have the option to watch ads for energy, lucky dip tickets etc etc, but the are not forced upon you like in other games I’ve played in the past). Thanks all have a great day.

Current bug is ruining this game.

I normally enjoy this game. Approaching current final regions. However there is a current bug which prevents adverts closing and freezes the game. Game has to be reloaded and bonuses not awarded. Increase in adverts is annoying enough but tolerable but the current problem is completely ruining the game and any benefit the advertisers are paying for is totally lost.

I have been playing this game for a couple of years, at first it was fun, they also have interesting event games, but now it’s absolutely rubbish, like a lot of these games you have to watch adverts, except they keep freezing and crashing your device, in one day I had to do 10 restarts and lost thousands of points, loads of people are complaining and they do nothing to fix it, think this will be a new year deletion. 😖😤

You used to have to watch adverts to be awarded things (double points etc) - now they are everywhere and they freeze the game requiring you kill it. The developer response to others who have pointed this out ( kill all other background processes using the task manager!) is a bad joke!

Boring and unreliable

I’ve played this for a very very long time. Started off great and interesting. The developers leave stages unfinished and when challenged they say a stage will finish later as the game progresses. The stages get boring as you progress through the game and are essentially the same as a previous stage but with a different setting and images. Frustrating and likely a sad end to a very long relationship that I am dogged enough not to want to give up on but am very likely to do so! Oh yeah they’ve also added in irritating features and sideshows such as some little cat that follows me around and annoys me - ditch it now!!! And as you gain experience and progress through the game the expense of moving on to the next stage is ridiculously high as the energy needed to dig a block gets higher and higher. Stupidly higher. Advertising videos that gain certain rewards freeze up almost every time and you don’t get the reward or you have to watch a video numerous times to progress otherwise you can’t continue with the game. The “X” to close a video at the end stops working so you can’t progress anyway without watching it again and again and again and again and again - I think you’ll get the picture! I’m at the point of saying stuff it and giving up entirely but will probably try one more time to watch a video to progress. Well I tried and the video has the same heart attack inducing problem - IT WONT CLOSE DOWN UNLESS YOU CRASH THE GAME!! IM SURE YOU HAVE GATHERED IM NO LONGER ENJOYING THIS GAME! Don’t devote yourself to it like I have! Update! Nope! Videos still not closing down. Two dozen watches of video = nothing! Absolutely nothing! Sad end but I’m finished with this game now and suggest you don’t waste your efforts on it. By the way Developers. Stop blaming the advertisers for the videos on closing or delivering. It’s your job to ensure things work properly.

Brilliant game

I’ve been playing Diggy for several years. I don’t get any issues with crashing. I find some of the puzzles Fiendish, but there are walk throughs which can usually help, although not every time, as they move so fast. I’ve had to submit a ticket for help about four times, so not too bad, This game is one of two I absolutely enjoy. iI really is a fantastic game. I’m not into rpg because I don’t have the ability, but this game I can take my time with. Thanks to all A couple of years later, and I’ve now got to a stage where I am finding some puzzles just too difficult, even with walkthroughs and reading advice from other platers. I actually haven’t played for several weeks, not enjoying it just too difficult. 😞

Used to be engaging, now just irritating

I have been working my through enjoying the game and would have rated it 5 stars. The recent addition of the”pets” feature has ruined it fir me - it adds nothing to puzzle solving, is a distracting thing bobbing about as Diggy moves and frankly if this had been in place when I first downloaded the game I would have deleted again quickly. Ready to stop playing

I’ve been playing for about ten years. Now retired I’ve actually put money into this game, only to find that once you start paying you have to keep on paying if you want to improve your capacity and regeneration. You’ve made changes recently that have made the game less enjoyable for me. I’m in Atlantis and I think the time has come for me to ignore all the events, particularly as you have now introduced yet another change - the pet. You won’t get another penny from me and I won’t watch the adverts either. I’ll plod on at my own speed and try to get to the end of the game and then I’m done.

A money grab!

I’ve been playing Diggy’s for a few years now and really enjoy it. There are ads you can watch for extra life (these are optional) but now you’ve added a pet which you only get 23 life per 6 hours! The pet appeared to be a different part of the game so I thought that’s ok but now you’ve added the pet to the events! I can’t play without life for my pet! But I can buy life for the annoying pet with real cash!!! This is a blatant money grab!!

Disappointing game now

I’ve played this game for years, it was always my go to game but now the pop up ads are ridiculous and the cost of energy is stupid, meaning that I’ll only play the game for 5 minutes now when it used to be longer. Love it!

I’ve been playing this game for years, it’s the only one I’ve stuck with and I play at least once a day.

There’s always new areas to dig and the puzzles range from easy to fairly hard.

It’s a simple concept, dig out blocks that are in your way and achieve tasks to move to the next level.

Gems are easy to come by, I’ve never purchased any but have never short of them to buy premium equipment.

Give it a try and you’ll be addicted within hours.

Fun, good for passing time

I’ve been playing this game for a few years. Yes years, it’s a great little game that you can play totally free if you choose- I’ve never paid for anything in the game. It is highly annoying that energy runs out so quickly despite filling camp with as much as is available to me. Serious problems

I’ve been playing this game for weeks and it’s been fine but the new update has ruined it! Firstly whenever I try to log in to play the game the start up screen constantly says I have no internet both on wifi and 5G when both are absolutely fine and I have to keep restarting the game. Secondly when I do manage to log in I attempt to play the tent game and videos keep freezing and booting me out and again when I can manage to log in the remaining games are no longer available so I have to wait another 7-8 to attempt to play again. Thirdly when I can manage to log in a huge chunk of my money has gone.. I had nearly 3000 coins last night and today I have just over 1000. I hope this bug/glitch is rectified asap!

To the developers reply: do you not think I have done everything you have requested already before writing this review?

You have bugs and glitches in the game, nothing to do with my networks as it happens on over networks too!

The game is updated to the current version which where the problems started.. Sort the game out and think before replying developers..

Gameplay

I’m enjoying the game and the puzzles, but it takes so long to build up coins and energy enough to progress. It seems, like a lot of games, unless you are prepared to spend or can spend real cash, progress gets slower and slower. As a pensioner it helps to keep my mind active but I cannot afford to spend any of my pension on games unfortunately. Having said all that, a good game and I’ll keep plugging away as long as I can

Fun

I’ve been playing this game for many years and I’m still loving it! The main story is fun and full of puzzles and obstacles. Every so often there is a special event with an independent story to complete that keeps things interesting.

There is an energy bar that refills so you can keep on digging. The rate at which it refills is partly up to you - you decide what to place in your camp, be that storage (for higher total energy) or energy recovery items (for faster filling of the energy bar). I set it up so it refills fast during the day when I play, and slowly during the night but to a higher level so that I have more energy available in the morning. Works well. I never really feel like I can’t play. It’s a game I play for a bit and then put aside for a short while before continuing.

You can also join a team of players which can help each other out with resources. That will definitely help new players!

I love puzzles and a funny story, so this game is perfect for me. I can only recommend it. :)

Keep Digging !!

I’ve been digging away for a few years now : and, oddly, never get bored ! I can play on my own, without having to ‘bother’ anyone, asking for materials, etc - and progress at my own pace. Sometimes, it’s just ‘mindless’ digging : which is fine just to take your mind off things + ‘chill’ 😌 But, what I like most are the puzzles + challenges. Oh - and the special events / weeks when you can earn good rewards … So, my advice ? Keep digging !!

More energy

Been happily playing this game for years (around 7 years eeekk) I like the lots about it, but I find how fast energy runs out annoying. At lower levels I could play for 30 mins twice a day now I would be lucky to get 10mins. Even buying energy last only seconds. I have near on given up on the actual game play. Only playing events and then saving energy until the next event. As if I play the actual game could never complete the event as need lots of energy. Great game but please sort out the greedy energy

Getting bored now

I’ve been playing this game on and off for over ten years now, I used to really enjoy it, but these days it’s starting to annoy me. It’s a good game with some funny story lines. It’s the puzzles that bring me here though, it’s what I come to it for. Unfortunately it’s taking so long to dig the space out now due to the high cost of energy required, that getting to the puzzles are taking days if not weeks sometimes. The gameplay used to keep me here for a good half an hour maybe more, I’m lucky if I’m playing for more than 10 minutes a time these days.

I upgrade my storage regularly, this is a pain because it’s a lot of flicking backwards and forwards over the the pages, that keep resetting themselves back to the start each time you move.

The amount of adverts in the game these days is awful, takes longer to go through them to get your bonuses than it does to play the game.

When I first started, we used to be able to visit other players to get extra energy, I’m not sure if that’s still an option as I’ve changed the device I play on over time (used to play on pc). Of course I do realise that you want me to pay for the game in one way or another, that’s why I put up with the adverts, I know you guys need to eat too. If I thought that the energy I was to potentially buy would last a bit longer, I would buy it for the seer enjoyment, but it doesn’t last long enough at this level, I know because I have bought it in the past.

Love the game but….

I love playing Diggy’s adventure - a good mix of humour and just the right amount of puzzle solving challenge for the perfect balance of unwinding but not getting bored.

Unfortunately, since the most recent update, the app no longer loads. It either gets stuck at around 90% loaded or loads the daily rewards screen which is frozen. I’ve tried restarting my iPad but get the same result. I don’t want to delete and reinstall it in case I lose all my progress (I’ve got as far as Atlantis and have completed a lot of special events too).

This has happened to me once or twice before after an update, but it’s usually back to normal after a day or two. Sadly that hasn’t happened this time around and I still can’t load the game ☹️

Great fun

I love this game. It took me a while to build up my energy - via the camp and to buy stuff to do the same. I look forward to the extra storylines and finishing off bits that I've missed. Very glad you took the decision to make it available to mobiles. I play on iPad and I know some things aren't on here yet but it's still a fab way to spend time.

Lately there have been lots of bugs in the adverts which have caused me to lose lots of good rewards. I hope it is sorted out soon, very very frustrating. Apart from these and other bugs, I am still enjoying the challenge of the puzzles.

It was fun but it isn’t fun anymore

I pay for my games and I paid over a £100 on this game to finish levels. I am on level 161, at first diggy was fun and energy consuming blocks were in reason ; but all of a sudden, they became ridiculously high. It started with over 130 per block and these days till it reached 1000 and 500 per block. I find this ridiculous and annoying. I pay for the gems and they finish in 5 minutes because of the high energy consuming for blocks. Second thing! The materials that are used in increasing the energy amount and the energy speed are very low in speed to collect and very ridiculously high to open a new slot. In addition, the high consuming blocks don’t give you enough stars to finish the level.

Hot diggy

Downloaded this game, played to level 100 + seemed to get stuck so deleted it. 😱 a few days later reinstalled and started again. It’s addictive because it is that good and exercises the old grey matter. Graphics are great, and plenty ways to earn gems also different avenues to explore. Great story and you don’t get bombarded with ads but if you need some extra energy then you can watch one to gain some. I also play daily much to hubbys distain. All I can say is Well done developers.

I absolutely love this game…but…my heart sinks when I see blocks that are 16 or 20, I even touched one that was “600” by mistake. It takes me so long to build up energy because the rewards are so small. I have over 70,000 in coins but very little to buy with them. Being a pensioner and a Carer for my 91yo mum I don’t have the cash to buy anything. I still love the game, especially the puzzles, it keeps me thinking and sometimes sane. Well done for a lovely game but could you give us better rewards…please, please, please.

Still crashes all the time

This problem has been a problem for years. Whenever a new short event is uploaded or an update is installed, the game crashes at some point.

Sometimes this only lasts for a little while or happens occasionally when moving through portals or when choosing to watch an add for more energy usage.

Right now it is happening every time I try to open the land I am currently digging out. I have time to collect my energy items from 2 out of 3 of my areas to collect from and then the whole app closes. Every time now and I’ve been digging this area for the passed weeks after starting it.

I do like this game but not for much longer if this issue isn’t fixed, the forum have been saying things like this since 2018 which I feel is enough time to figure out how to stop this problem from happening ever again. It’s about time somebody who’s able to do coding is employed by this company to get it sorted.

One of the best games you could play!

I usually don’t do reviews but this game deserves a double thumbs up. I’ve been playing it for years and it just seems to get better and better. Yes in that time there have been occasional glitches but the staff who made and run this game have in my experience always been quick to solve any problems, and genuinely want people to enjoy Diggy. There’s a good online players network if you look for it (FB). You don’t need to spend money to play it, and obviously there’s a bit of down time while your energy builds up again - most of who I’ve got to know playing Diggy play it multiple times a day (including me 😁), it ls that addictive (in a good way)….and I haven’t yet found another game like this out there. Take the time to learn the intricacies of this game and you’ll get hooked 😉

I'm having fun

This game keeps me engaged, as I don't have to wait around for things to happen in order to make a step (looking at you, resource gathering games). I put in one session of digging and rock pushing puzzle solving, until I deplete my energy (including that I get from food), then go about my day while it recharges.

There are so many levels that it may take quite a while to run out of play time.

You can play with zero ads if you don't want to engage with certain aspects. The only ads I see are for the card shuffling minigame, as I don't double my winnings often (30 seconds per ad adds up in wasted time)

One star deducted for glitches: Starting the game after a while makes the material map get stuck with an hour glass (I'm now killing the game if I don't see the company logo when I open it in order to work around this), buttons that I have to press several times in order to make them work.

Awesome

I have been playing this game for a few years now and have always enjoyed it. I must say the latest updates to the game have been excellent. Being able to trade your spare items for experience points is a brilliant addition, you can extend your gameplay for a significant amount of time due to this addition. The tickets you required are not expensive and can be bought using diamonds you collect during gameplay. It would be great in future updates if we could maybe have more levels in our storage area.

Fun to play

I love this game! I play it daily. I have done so for a long time and I haven’t got bored yet. One of the best things in comparison to so many other games is the ads are optional, you don’t need them to advance in the game but if you do watch them there’s a reward 😀 I like that you can progress through the storyline without clearing the maps completely (although I have to clear everything 🤣). I love the community events/seasonal adventures because you can earn great camp equipment. The graphics are cute and amusing 👍

Cons-the games takes an age to load and does crash quite a lot (but that may be my crappy internet!)

Also when the game does reload you will have lost all your energy but the tiles you just cleared are back again. Very annoying especially when they are high value tiles!!!

-some of the maps have tiles of such high value that I run out of energy very quickly and have to stop playing for a while (and I have a lot of camp equipment)

Amazingly addictive

I’m no youngster but I love this game as it’s a bit of fun with plenty of challenges. One of the best parts for me is that although in app purchases are present it’s easy enough to play without using them especially when you’ve picked up bonus items to boost your energy gain rate.

It does have a tendency to crash occasionally but it doesn’t lose your position so I can cope with this.

The challenges vary in difficulty but it’s great to give my brain something to puzzle over. Overall I love it.

A great game that just gets better and better. Very few ads and you can avoid them, it doesn’t cost a fortune to progress in the game and the puzzles with a bit of thought can be done. The graphics and detail in the story line is a credit to the developers, fantastic attention to detail and a brilliant sense of humour make this a great game to play. In addition to that there are regular new storylines added with realistic times to complete them, whilst the main theme runs. Great but very buggy recently

I’ve been playing this game for years (level 394/Greece) and it has been enjoyable in that time.

It has lots of crash bugs just lately though that are getting irritating now. I always watch videos for the double coins/XP and most of the time the game now crashes at the end of the video & you lose the opportunity to double after you reload the game.

The same happens for the chest video that you get every eight hours, when you reload, the chests have started counting down from 8 hours even though you didn’t get the opportunity to play. Same with the daily bonus energy video although this one is less frequent.

The game also freezes indefinitely on a black screen several times a day with an egg timer when you click onto the map screen or load a level. The only way is to force shut down and reload the game, which is a nuisance.

Not sure if it is because I have iPhone 11 or my highish level but all these are becoming an issue, particularly as I have spent money on the game in the past because I believe in spending money on games I enjoy & that have frequent, fun updates.

Crashes are killing the game

I used to really enjoy this game, the graphics are really well done and the game play is easy to follow on an ipad. However after the last few updates the number of crashes is making the game unplayable, from the number of crashes on the splash screen loading the game to every couple of minutes of play. To even crashing once when I wasn’t do anything other than being on the home screen.

If this does not improve in the next few updates I will be removing it and recommending that anyone else does the same.

Crashes are still killing the game, and the new update that was supposed to fix some bugs has done nothing but made it worse. Really like the game but it is getting ridiculous

Crashes all the time. I mean, ALL THE TIME

Good points: Nice graphics, lots of content, you can buy stuff for real money but you can play just fine without them, no ads unless you ask for them. The puzzles are very easy but you don’t always want a big challenge.

Bad points. See title. Crashes at the splash screen about two times in three. Randomly crashes every couple of minutes while you’re playing, and about every fifteen [bleep]ing seconds on the summer special levels. If you accept an ad to double your reward after a task, crashes nine times out of ten — but at least it crashes before playing the ad, rather than after. All Pixel Federation games seem somewhat unreliable on iPad but this one is getting towards unplayable. Burns through battery like it’s mining bitcoin — another common feature of PF’s games. Energy system: dude, just let me play when I want to play instead of rationing it. Contradictory puzzles: about the only challenge is to do as little digging as possible, to conserve energy; but then the game rewards you for digging out everything — so what is the goal? A bit too much waiting around while Diggy walks across the screen. There should be a fast mode.

Very Good

I love the fact that you don’t have to do stupid matching items to get energy. I hate it on those games as I am not quick enough, let alone, how boring it is!, to actually play the game so give up and cancel the game after playing for half an hour.

I also like the fact that you can be playing several scenarios, the planetary game, the Egyptian theme, the summer holiday theme, finding his dad theme. Also you can save energy by not killing all the tiles, just the ones that get you what you want, but you can go back later, when you have more energy and finish the sites so gaining the rewards.

One of only three games that I completely enjoy and having felt I needed to delete.

Great game overall

I love Diggy’s Adventure! It’s a great puzzle game, and I like the stories that run within it!

A couple of bug bears for me are that it does take a long while to stockpile enough materials to develop my camp, so if the requirements could be reduced/materials production could be sped up, that would be massively appreciated! Also, the energy required to complete the special story levels is ginormous, and I can never complete them fully. I would love to have either the time extended, or for the blocks to be less energy heavy, as my energy just gets drained so fast! I’m always left gutted when I can’t gather everything from the levels because the energy required is so high! ☹️🥺

Overall I love Diggy’s Adventure, it’s so well thought out and out together, and I would highly recommend it for fellow puzzlers!!

Fun way to while away some time

I’m very much enjoying this game, it’s a fun relaxing way to while away some time. I often get bored of games very quickly but I have been playing g thus game for a coupe of weeks now and I’m still loving it. The gameplay is engaging, it’s smooth and without glitches(that I’ve seen anyway) and the graphics are very good.

I have to say my only minor complaint is the time it takes to build up coins and consumables. I’m trying to expand my underground items that improve my energy capacity and how much they fill up but I never have enough timber or coins so I can’t improve my camp. This means that I run out of energy very quickly and, again due to a lack of consumables, I have very little food items in my backpack so I can’t refuel that way either.

Please can you consider upping the amount of consumables from mining or make the times mined less energy expensive so we can actually play the game rather than spend time waiting to play the game. Thanks :-)

Addictive

I absolutely love this game, been playing it daily for ages, certainly two years at least but probably more.

The only downside is the amount of energy needed. I have reached Atlantis and find I am getting frustrated because I can only play for a short while before the energy runs out. Maybe it’s due to my poor strategy, perhaps I should have concentrated more on buying equipment. All the slots are filled and although I check regularly to see what equipment is available I am struggling to find a way of improving the situation.

After my little rant about energy I will say well done on an excellent game.

Great game shame about the adverts

I love this game, BUT BE WARNED, there are adverts for you to watch, to obtain extra points. One of these adverts involved on the face of it an incredible value for money waterproof boots made by Honestystar (anything but) the boots were nothing like advert an of terrible shoddy quality only fit for the bin, should have been leather, they were PVC. I contacted the Pixel Federation, who do not accept any responsibility for any material like this run on their platform. They stated they are not responsible for players action (fair enough).

I am in the process of getting refund via PayPal. Don’t waste your money on the boots advert if it ever runs again.

Good game, no tech support

I really enjoy playing this game as it’s a calm game without any time limits etc like other games have. My only issue with it is that tech support is non existent. I had a problem with the game when I had to change phones, and despite logging into the game using the same account details it simply refused to work. I had to start the game from scratch. I contacted tech support but never received any response, not even a confirmation that they had received my query. Seems they’re quite happy to produce the game, and take any money from you that you chose to spend but don’t want to know if you have a problem.

That being said, as long as you have no tech issues it’s a good game.

Been enjoying but recently crashing

I do enjoy this game and I play daily. Fun storylines and rewards. However, recently the game has been crashing when I opt to watch a video to double my rewards. I did contact the developers to tell them this, saying that the game freezes and I have to reload. When this happens I’m not sure that I even get the original reward. They blamed it on third party advertising and hoped it would get better. This is great, but there wasn’t any offer to give me the rewards I have missed. As advancing levels is part of the game, I have now stopped watching the videos, so do not have a chance of doubling. So both the advertisers and myself are missing out!

Great game!

Love this game, there are not many games that could keep me interested for long, but this one have been keeping me playing for a long time, I play it everyday, and I’m not bored yet.

There are a lot of stuffs going on in the game, special events which will give you big rewards that helps to boost the energy, which is very helpful, plus watching videos to get double the rewards gives that extra bonus.

Great game for all ages.

I have been playing Diggy’s since the very beginning (player number 2033), and I have always enjoyed the deceptively simple and effective gameplay and the additional nod’s to the influences which have shaped the designers and programmers mindsets. It truly is a unique game .

After a 3 year absence due to living in a non-Facebook connected country, I am now playing again...and with the constantly evolving graphic quality, increased storylines and regular special events, this is a game that will run and run...and deservedly so.

Thank you to the Diggy team for all of the hard work, imagination and humour you lavish on us all with your creativity.

Riddle-solver?

Having played the game for a while (level 74) I have yet to discover anything that qualifies as a riddle/puzzle to be solved, beyond the ‘placing of specific pieces on specific squares’ and the ‘rotation of mirrors’. Also, the further you progress the more energy is required for the removal of each ‘brick’ and in that respect the increased energy production and storage capacity earned through working through the levels is negated (5500 for one brick to complete some scenes is ridiculous IMO).

Consequently, I am close to deleting this game from my iPad (as this is the only way to counter my ‘addiction’ to removing the ‘bricks’ to find out what happens next). I was enjoying it but now it seems quite tedious.

Minor whinge

I love this game. I play daily but this latest update that offers you twice the reward if you watch a vid is very glitchy. Twice it just crashed the game and on restart didn't even credit me with the standard reward I'd earned. Then it uploaded the video (puzzle pages, yawn) and still didn't credit me. So that's 3 holiday rings I didn't receive and a minute of my life I'll never get back.

Also which page is your official one on Facebook? There are so many that claim to be but when you go on them they all have the caveat the they are actually the unofficial page. Damned if I can find you guys and it would be useful as sometimes you offer specials via the page.

Latest update, yep it crashed again and I lost my Christmas ring......again. I do get that you can't respond to every moan but please sort this out. Cheers

Digging this game.

I’ve found this game a lot more addictive than most, it’s a good game but in the early stages energy supply is so scarce you can only play for short periods of time, if you persevere, level up and follow a few basic rules you soon reach a point where energy is no longer an issue, unless you want to play the game all day. So it basically stops you from being able to do that unless you are either wealthy or foolish enough to make in game purchases. I’m loving it for now, time will tell whether it’s a keeper of not.

Fun with mild micro payments

I enjoy this game a lot. The central mechanics are easy to learn. The writing is fun. There are even some puzzles, mainly of the Sokoban box (boulder) moving style.

The only problem is that energy (which you need to dig through anything) runs out really quickly. You can cook things to restore it, and increase the refresh rate and maximum capacity using materials you find. However, even with these, you are probably only looking at a decent session two to three times a day without paying for it.

It is still way ahead of many games in this respect. You just need a bit of patience if you aren't keen on pay to play.

Cute game

I like this game...easy enough to follow with lots of new challenges along the way. I’m not yet bored of it! (Most games gone within a day). 👌

Things that could improve...Obviously energy is a common issue. I don’t mind too much given that there is always a draw back to make people spend money. But it would be nice to have the tiles slightly less “energy expensive” for want of a better term.

Secondly speeding up food with gems. It is 10 gems no matter what the food or how far along the time process it has gone. So obviously you’re only going to use it on the foods that give you the most energy. Would be nice to have an incremental system of how many gems to speed up food. That said this way is more logical than buying the food from the shop with gems as 25 gems for 150 energy isn’t really viable when 10 gems speed up a cake worth 400ish.

I found at times it hard to get back onto a task / to know exactly what is being expected. For example when having to give milk. Simple once you know it but for ages I was like hmm I can’t click on that task / it doesn’t take me to a new scene like the rest do.

Overall a few minor freezes and a few things that would make it slightly better but I love the game and the fact that there are no annoying adverts. 🙌

Great game spoiled by the new sound effects

I love this game, I’ve been playing it daily for almost a year I think, and I've never had cause to complain.... until now.

The beta testers must have been playing the game with no sound for the most recent update, because I can’t believe they wouldn’t have noticed how incessantly annoying the new sound effect is for items that are dropped from blocks when they are mined. It’s especially bad when mining quickly while using a potion.

The previous sound effect was perfect, it was quiet, understated, and even the continuous stream of sound effects when mining multiple blocks didn't distract from the gameplay. This new effect has severely lowered my enjoyment of the game. Aside from being too loud its completely out of place - why does a coin, or lumber, or iron ore make a noise like a bubble popping when it drops from a block of stone? It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't played so often, but this sound effect occurs for every item that is dropped from a block.

I hope you will consider changing the sound effect back, or at least include an option to turn off item drop sound effects. I want to enjoy playing the game again, but I cant do that if I have to play it with all sound disabled.

Good game but...

Have really enjoyed playing this game BUT have a couple of issues. Firstly, energy issues as everyone else seems to have. Takes a while to build up energy so the game can only be played in short bursts, unless you spend actual cash on buying energy. You can increase your energy store by collecting lumber and building camp equipment but this takes a while too so is not a quick solution. This can be really frustrating as it is an addictive game so annoying when you have to keep putting it down.

Secondly it keeps crashing and then when it opens again, energy has disappeared. This really needs sorting out otherwise I may have to stop playing. Not only do you have to wait for the energy to build up but when it crashes and it disappears, the wait is even longer!

Very addictive...UPDATE!!!!

Great game, so addictive I can't put it down!!! Love the different levels, but as others have said some of the blocks take so much energy, I have had a 900 and 1400! Uses so much energy in one go! Also takes ages to save up enough lumber to buy the energy slots for equipment. Brilliant game though, best I've played in ages!!

I have now been playing this game for almost a year! I've reached level 147, very, very addictive, it does get easier as you play, you build your camp and earn more energy as you go. I love the puzzles and the special games that come up for Christmas etc. Best game I've played!!!
