Version 12.41.2379
It worked for a while but one day I was no longer authenticated and couldn’t log back in. Tried reinstalling & reregistering but I just get a useless numeric error code. Tech support couldn’t help. Once we got to “try factory resetting your phone” I just gave up.

Awful

Awful.

App is flakey, only way if issues is a factory reset!

Version 12.43.3007
I’m moving active directory domain so I need to deactivate and reactivate. I’ve followed the instructions (delete on self service and deactivate on app) but when I go to download and reactivate, it still had the old profile configuration that is not visible. Now the app starts up and says the app is deactivated. Every time I re-install the app
I’ve looked online and found EMA-14818 as I’ve described and the workaround is to do a factory reset! No thanks, I’ll live without this app

Massively complicated and clunky. Face ID stopped working so now left with having to manually enter my password every time 😡

Version 12.36.1911
I am another victim of a corporate company enforcing archaic applications to satisfy some business dealings. The BlackBerry applications are extremely not user friendly. They are poor at providing me with my emails. Things were easier when it all ran through the default mail app. I would be more than happy to join the 21st century by switching over to Office 365, though!

Forced to use....

Version 12.33.1742
I have been forced to use an iPhone and now forced to use this app for work emails, contacts and calendar. I have no idea how this is even a thing, additional layers of complexity and total faff for a complicated and bloated interface...then they make me use blackberry UEM! Jokes aside, the iPhone has asked to change a passcode 3x in the 1.5hrs it has taken to setup the blackberry suite when I already had a working email, contact and calendar.

Lurks in background and kills your battery

Version 12.43.2973
According to my battery health status, this app is the one consuming the most battery.
I seldom open it, it’s only required for some communications, yet it stays in background and has the most battery impact.
In a period of one hour, it drained up to 60% of my battery, which poses an important question: is blackberry going to pay for the reduced lifespan of the phone?
Stay away from this app unless mandated to install it. It will consume resources while hiding from your sight for no apparent reason.

Calling your app company Good does not make it so and this app is an example of that. Frequently locks out for no reason resulting in a lengthy reinstall process.

Quite possibly the worst email app I’ve ever come across

Version 12.7.573
Zero stars. I only use this because I’m forced to by my company to access my emails. Absolutely awful. Unstable and frequently crashes or locks me out for no good reason, wasting hours on the phone to IT support to unlock it. This is an underdeveloped, terrible quality bit of software and if it confers any security benefit whatsoever it’s only because half the time it won’t even let someone entitled to access their own emails into them. If I could give zero stars I would.

Rather boring.

Version 12.47.3223
App needed to support blackberry work apps. However frequent crashes of the blackberry work apps, needs for access codes, reactivation codes means that you need to uninstall UEM client app - but you can’t - the app does not have a delete cross as per other apps when you press and hold! IT helpdesk suggest a factory reset - REALLY!!! There really is only one way to describe the experience of using this app “💩”

Quite quirky and troublesome.

Version 12.42.2726
Disappointing that when ever I had to instal the app I had to resort to our enterprise help desk and then be referred to the phone network provider.
Too many things to fiddle in profile settings and have to manually delete old apps via storage menu.

Whatever you do, make sure you do not download this. Constantly crashes when I try to open the App, then I try to re-install with the help-desk only to be told the server is down and it can’t be done. The ladies exact words were, the server is up for 2-3 days and then down for 2-3 days.

Corporate IT snake oil

2017-10-06
This is a terrible app bought by corporations who don’t understand iPhones but deploy them to staff. The device management functionality it brings can be done without the app and the native Apple email app allows the same corporate IT control over email. But fine if my company wants to waste money on this, right? Not really as it also:
- is incredibly ugly. See the awkward flick back and forth dance between the email app and the UEM app every time you launch email.
- regularly locks me out of email. This happened with the update to iOS 11 because my employer hadn’t yet “authorised” 11 and has now happened again today but for less obvious reasons. (Problems with 11.0.1??)
- the lock message is “this application is based on BlackBerry Dynamics library version ‘3.4.0.78’ and is not permitted. Upgrade the application or permit this version in the compliance policy.” 1) there is no update available in the App Store 2) as a user I obviously can’t do anything about the compliance policy and unfortunately my IT department blocks stuff based on assumptions not facts (eg their belief that TouchID fingerprints are stored in iCloud despite clear statements by Apple to the contrary) so my faith in this not happening regularly is very limited.
The best response would be for the developer to withdraw the app from sale and admit it doesn’t actually add any security over native functionality. Or design it such that it doesn’t regularly lock users out for no good reason. (Then it would just be ugly and unnecessary.) I fear neither is likely.

Works fine but needs update for larger screens

 –
Vollerama
 –
2017-01-31
The app works fine and makes the deployment of MDM and BYOD BlackBerry services simple.
However, it could use an update to render correctly on iPhone 6/6 Plus sized screens (4.7" and 5.5") as it looks like it was designed for the smaller iPhone SE sized screen. Also the status bar is coloured white when entering the password which against a white background makes it illegible.
Thanks.
