Chordify is a brilliant app I use it for the iPhone and on the PC. The company genuinely does care about their users and the advice and feedback and we give them. Due to a mistake I made they are totally honest and refunded me but I subscribed anyway, a week later My music is great improved since using this app. My subscription is running out soon and without even thinking about it I will subscribe again

Another app that rips off subscribers
As a premium subscriber I expect a premium service. After a recent update, my subscription no longer covers the updated functionality. I pay for a premium subscription, so they launch ’toolkit’ and other features, and now want even more money. Horrible business model. Greed never wins.

Helped me no end

Not the app it was
I used this app regularly as it was the best for playing along to songs, now you only get 3 free songs per day. It’s terrible when the chords are wrong for the first two songs you load then you only have one left. It had always been free, why change it? Greed

This app simply transforms your playing. I’m jamming most nights with John and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.. who cares if i hit the odd wrong note,, its just great to smash out your favourite songs with any band you care to pull up. I wouldn't be without it..

Great for beginners.
I’m a 55 year old woman who is a total beginner on the keyboard and can’t read music. This app has enabled me to start playing all my favourite songs, using easy to learn chords. I absolutely love it. I tried the free version for 3 days and then my son (who saw how much I was enjoying it) bought it for my birthday. My best present for many years.
I love the ability to slow the music down, transpose a new key to make it easier or loop a more difficult session in the song so your fingers memorise the patterns. The transposing also gives you a chance to sing along in a key that suits your voice better.
I suspect it is aimed at much younger people judging by the unlimited songs available on the free version. Not much choice from the 1970’s or 1980’s, but in the premium version you have access to just about any song you can think of. So far this is one of my favourite apps.

Fine for basic idea of songs
Tried free version to see whether it is worth paying for. Ok as a starter but chords often wrong, could do with using chords transposed by others- this seems a bit like the auto translate on phones. Also, chords usually quite basic open ones as not able I guess to auto pickup the actual chord phrasings, so it’s more of a start to get you going. I’m sticking with chord sheets and YouTube tutorials.

However what they don’t tell you in the small print is if you sign up via Apple (which of course you would) the guarantee is not honoured. Very sly business model. Poor ethics. Also if you are a beginner note most of the chord patterns are too complex. Better using free YouTube tutorials. Fully regret signing up to this.

Absolutely fantastic
I get a huge, huge amount of pleasure from Chordify. I’m currently on holiday in Cape Verde playing my uke along to Tuba Skinny songs.
A great tool for learning as well, with the ability to reduce the speed and loop difficult sections of songs.
I very rarely write software / app or other reviews, but cannot recommend Chordify highly enough.

Great to play along with
Great to play along with. It has some nice functions like the reduced speed to learn new or complicated chords. Then when you are comfortable you can play it at normal speed.
Wish it also showed the words to the songs like other apps. Be good also if it could show lead notes too. All in all it is worth every penny.

Won’t restore purchases on iPad 12.9..
I bought for an iPad mini as more convenient for use. I also wanted to use it on iPad 12.9. However it just gives me the unpaid version on 12.9 and won’t restore purchases as is usual on such apps. I will not be renewing my sub with Apple and would really prefer a refund.

Technical issues
I downloaded the free app which is great is after a while I decided to pay for the full version they had a deal on pay £14.88 for a full membership so when I went in to my Libery I hit the transpose while checking all the features and it’s telling me I have to become a full member to use this feature not happy I tried to contact Chordify but with no luck and lack of response I’m not impressed to say the least

Doesnt show all the chords for a song, or the notes, its called chordify right? why is it showing me one chord every 10 chords in the actual song. And its premium to report inaccurate notes? Scammers, and somehow they get away with it

You don’t even have to pay for this app so if you’re young like me and need the chords to a song and the YouTube videos are annoying you. Open this app but there is only three instruments you can use (piano ukulele and guitar) that is the only downside

Absolute game changer for my piano playing
I got Chordify to help me learn to play the Ukulele at first, then I realised it would do piano and guitar so triple bonus. I’ve never been great at the piano and found it really hard to play songs I love. Chordify let me play along simply to my favourite songs, and start to understand how the chords all fit together.
I’ve never been much good at the theory, but this made everything ‘click’ - from transposing to simplifying music, to playing the fingering by ear then eventually mixing this up with sheet music so all the pieces came together.
I’ve been using Chordify for maybe 5 months and my playing has progressed to a level I never thought possible. I highly recommend this app - and I have never written a recommendation for an app before! That’s how good it is.

When I play a song from my library and close it afterwards - it doesn’t go back to the list from where you opened it but sporadically picks a song elsewhere in the list. This is annoying as you then have to scroll back (up or down) to get back to where you started.

Great for most songs
Chordify captures the chords for most songs perfectly but you occasionally come across songs where it’s best to look up chords online.
I use this app all the time so fully recommend it. Definitely one to try and is great for beginners.

Saved my music gcse lol
I was looking online to find chords to a song that’s not very popular I had to find the chords to that song because it was part of a few others that were set for my tasks and I couldn’t find the chords anywhere until I came across this app To my surprise it had literally any song i wanted the chords to unlike any other music/ chords app with only popular songs. Defo recommend. Thank you for this amazing creation:)

Great app, song starts rushed
I am just learning piano and the app has been amazing for learning songs! My only change would be for a lead in to the songs starting. Giving you a chance to get set on your instrument after you press play. It’s too rushed and I end up missing the first few notes

Misleading feature - would be good otherwise
Bought premium subscription to enable me to transpose songs to play along to. But after you pay, it explains that the playback of songs will remain in the original key and they will only transpose the written chords, which almost any free tab/chords tool can do. No possibility of cancelling after getting that key information. So, very disappointing. Otherwise it’s a nice interface and not a bad app - just a shame this key feature was not what it appeared to be, making the cost unjustified for me.

Great for what it is
I’ve just started learning guitar and so was looking for something to show me the chords for songs I’d like to learn. I became a Premium member and yes, it does has a lot of songs with chords (as well as showing the song video itself) but it doesn’t show all the chords. In particular the intricate beginnings where they don’t play obvious chords like Fast Car or Hurt. The platform seems to take the song and apply what it thinks are the chords. It also doesn’t show the strumming pattern. I’d say it compliments other services like Fender or JustinGuitar but isn’t a sole replacement.

Best app ever!!!
I’m not over exaggerating how much I love this app!!! Even songs that haven’t released sheet music, are songs that I can get here. This app is top quality, I’ve never had any issues with it. The best part is it’s free, it feels like the creators of this app generally want people of all ages and backgrounds to experience and communicate their thoughts and feelings through music instead of them just wanting to earn money. It’s a rare and truly heartwarming thought which makes me enjoy using the app even more!!!

Web Version was Better
Loved the web version so downloaded the app thinking it would be even better but I was disappointed. It worked well the first few times I used it but recently when trying to search for songs, the app will tell me I have no WiFi and have to retry, when my WiFi’s working fine. Also anytime I’ve used Chordify recently the chord diagrams are wrong (for piano) and don’t correlate with the chord given. If these issues are fixed the app would be excellent but at the minute I feel that it would be more worth my while to use the web version as it seemed to work much better.

This is so fun to learn with and I've found it much easier than any other apps. Most of my favourite songs are on this and it's so fun to be able to learn and play the chords of them and discover new chords to make my own little tunes to play on my keyboard off of the app as well :)

Probably I don’t know how to take the best from this app until now but the issue I find difficult to step over is about editing certain chords that I think could work better in my performance following the screen from this great app... maybe,I don’t know,I will have to improve my skills managing the properties of the app...

It’s not bad.
The app works well, but some of the songs are transposed wrong. Some of them have the wrong chords or just don’t have some of the quicker notes put in. But if your just starting out on guitar, or you just need the basic chords to just jam along to the original music, this app is good for that. But if your looking to learn the full song, or copy songs note for note, then this app isn’t the best.... but it’s not a bad app, worth having a look at. 😉🤘

Excellent customer service and brilliant app
I downloaded the app and after a couple of weeks had to contact the support (a mistake a made on my membership) and a very polite and helpful member of the staff called Robert, got back to me very quickly and sorted out my issue in a blink of an eye!

Having paid for the premium options, the app now repeatedly refuses to let me log-in, stating nothing more than a glib ‘oops unable to log-in’, when I have full internet connectivity on my phone, and gives me no other options. App deleted, I’ll find an alternative. Only giving one star because there’s no option for zero stars.

It has everything
I have been using Chordify for over a year now and I like many fifties and sixties songs and have found every single one that I have looked for.
Being new to learning the guitar and am only confident with certain chords, I have found that the use of where to put the capo has helped immensely.
This app is well worth the money.

From the get go I thought it was gonna be one of those apps that’s free for a week and the 7.99 a week, but no. This app gives the chords to any song for free forever. Must have for anyone that’s ever even seen a piano!!!

Game changer
I’ve been playing piano and guitar on and off for a while, always getting bored because I’ve never taken time to understand what I’m playing. This app encourages me to play songs I actually want to play and also give you a very basic overview of different chords. Trains you in an interactive way. As a new Uke player, this has been the best way to practice
For years I wanted to play a guitar but failed as fret board too big, now I’ve found the Uke and am having so much fun with a group of friends. Chordify has given me the info and ability to learn at home and just to relax as it’s so much fun.

HONESTLY, this surprised me so much, and in the best way possible. I thought this would be one of those apps where they tell you it’s free but they make you pay once you’ve downloaded, but you get exactly what you were promised FOR FREE, and at a great quality; and it has virtually EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. I spent over four months looking for the chords to “when it rains” from trapt and I found it here. I love the way the programming is so smart to find the chords to any song it listens to. Truly talented programmer, I am so amazed by this app!! Premium features don’t work despite me paying for them
Just as I say in the heading, every month my subscription leaves my account. Then Chordify blocks my premium features. Then I contact them. They take an age to respond. I tell them that I’ve done everything they ask me to check. The issue remains. I continue to message asking for support but I then get no response. (My App and the website both say I am a premium customer as well).
I am highly IT literate and this isn’t an issue at my end. The money leaves my account.
I have now stopped my subscription.
I have paid for a service that I have received 50% of the time. There has never been an apology for the service I have received and contact stops when they can not identify the issue. (Despite my repeated attempts).

It works for the most part by changing the chords for the song to match the key if you play without a capo to a song which is played with a capo. Which is all well and good, I just wish when I changed where the capo was in that setting to where it is in the original song, it would change it to the correct chords or the ones played in the actual song.
