I used to love this app as it really helped my with my GCSEs. The information provided within the app was extremely helpful. And the quizzes was good for me. It helped me to know what topic I need to work more on. Especially on science and history. 😊

But unfortunately whether I found out that the app doesn’t provide A levels or BTEC Level three extended diploma (which is equivalent to A Levels) subject. It would be even more better if they can add subject for people who are in sixth form.

I find the app very useful, the way it explains to you the subject and how it tests you with quizzes and flash cards. It's sad that it doesn’t have as many subject thought.

There are many glitches when I use the app. When I tried to select the subject that I wanted, it kept unselecting them so I am only left with a fed subject I actually want to study because the glitch won’t allow me to select and others.

This app is fantastic for the subjects your doing for gcse it has so much information and organised and easy to read the flash cards are great for revision but the sad thing is I keep re downloading the app and leaving and refreshing but when it comes to choosing the subjects it doesn’t let me choose all the subjects I do I keep choosing them all them scrolling up to see half of them unclicked I’m not sure if it’s my phone or the app but this is the only issue I have with the app.

I found this app helpful for for my revision as the app gets you to select your exam board so you’re able to access all the topics that you’ve covered in your subjects rather than just a typical textbook type thing.

However the app crashed when i tried to click on GCSE history I had to delete and re-download the app to get it to work and access the history tab.

I downloaded this app to help me study for my GCSEs this year. However, after downloading it and putting all my subjects in, the page started loading saying that it was putting all my subjects up for me to see what I need to study. It’s been stuck on this same page for 5 minutes. The first time I tried, it crashed. Then I restarted my phone… didn’t help. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app… didn’t help. Every time I shut the app down and reopen it, it makes me put ALL my subjects in again. 😒 I’ll probably just stick with the website from now on :/ Please fix this cause Bitesize is so helpful to me with revision but when the app doesn’t work… it’s annoying and disappointing.

The app is good due to it having most of the subjects however I don’t seem to find a GCSE sociology section while looking Wales or English GCSE subjects in the app but is on the website . This isn’t as big of a deal but I do need it for some help on the go before I do tests and such .

The app itself is good and is quite detailed however my loading screen glitches out a lot and I had to refill out my exam board and my subjects then it just does it again . I’ve re-downloaded it many times and it sometimes doesn’t work but it sometimes does . Depends weather it likes me that day or not lol .

Anyway , good app for revision since there is quite a lot of detail in both flash cards and the whole textbooks type-esk and I’ll recommend it

i really like this app it’s what i use most for revision. although there should be more for certain subjects, especially higher health and food technology.

there is nothing on that except videos and there is so much to learn for it such as facts which they could of made a good source for health and food tech.

I downloaded this app as I’m in year 7 and have an important test coming up. I also want to go to a good university and thought the sooner I began revising the better my chances were. However to my disappointment it did not let me use it as I was not studying for GCSE or tests that are more important. I’m sure it is a good app for people studying important tests but I find it unfair for people my age who want it to improve on a test. Was waiting for Bitesize app for ever! So I am very happy it is now on the market. I’ve tried the punctuation topic, and am disappointed by luck of practice. 10 questions in the practice test and remain the same. To prepare student for a test requires A LOT of practice tests, same questions asked differently multiple times. That is the only way. Also video has not enough vocabulary, which is very important for the test.

I have only recently downloaded for my spanish revision and I found it really useful. I like that they are broken into sections and not all in one place.

I think what would be an improvement is if you could write in when you have a test and which folder to revise so i can see a lot easier when i have the test an what i need to revise for it and i could be given notifications telling a test it coming up soon.

Other than that it’s become very useful.

Well what can I say apart from absolute class. If BBC Bitesize was a person it would be the person that literally everyone loves and gets along with. This app is great if you’re in year 10 or 11, basically GCSE years. I’m in year 9 and I’m taking my education seriously now and I’m trying to get on top of everything I learn so I won’t have too much to worry about when exams are near. Year 9 is classed as the first year of GCSEs and it’s when we do our options. I’d love to have things for me on here. Thank you.

This is a truly amazing app for 14-16 year olds, but it would be more helpful if it was more like the website. The website also helps younger children in ks2 and ks3. If you can advance the app so that it can also have revision for them , that would be great ! Then people can just use the app instead of using the website.

It’s a pretty good app but I have encountered myself with a lot of loading errors, so I had to close the app and try again, I’ve also found myself trying to get access to Higher Business Management but it doesn’t seem like it’s in the app because I know for sure that it is in the website - it’s a shame that the app doesn’t have as much information as the official website itself, this kind of makes me feel as if I’m not learning everything that my teachers expect me to, specially at times like this one's. Besides the down side of the app, there are other things I really appreciate like the flash card section, which is unfortunately only available for specific subjects, but everything else is really good.

There is some brilliant content on here. However after downloading on my iPhone. It asked me to tailor the app to my requirements. Great I thought. However chose England which was fine and then had to pick a GCSE subject. This is not relevant as I want KS2 primary content for year 4 and 5. I doesn’t let you skip or move forward so I am unable to get into the app on my phone. A real shame as this a convenient point of access.

This app is a good idea but you can’t customise what you are doing so only some people can use it e.g nothing for KS3 Furthermore it is wordy this is difficult because some people (including me) can’t read very well it would be better if there were videos as well (by videos I mean understandable up to date videos that gives you all the information and isn’t just clips from another tv programme) other than those flaws I think it is good that there is a free revision app without adverts.

It’s a good application, easy to use and well set out the only issue that I have with the app is that when I was picking an exam board, I am a GCSEs student, it didn’t have the correct topics, I couldn’t find how to get to the history of medicine some assistance would be great, overall it’s an amazing app but it’s missing the one thing that I need. I don’t normally leave reviews but this app is absolutely incredible provided you use it in the correct way; as a knowledge maintainer and perhaps booster.

Learn your stuff (hopefully from your teacher but often) from the Bitesize website and use the app as a booster and together they make a wonderful learning aid, especially for people with busy lives who are often short of time.

A more in depth quiz with questions a little more challenging (I.e. not multiple choice) would be nice in conjunction with the current quizzes, but there’s always room for improvement and all in all a great app.

This overall really improved my revision on the sciences and upped my grades.

As a Scottish student from Edinburgh I really struggled with my move to a high level English school where I went from , no revision for the sciences to a constant flow of test and assessments. As I’m in year 10 it’s a very important time for my GCSE’s and this app has been extremely helpful in perfecting my revision techniques for the sciences. I now feel a lot more confident during school hours and at home. I love the flash card idea too! 😊

As a Scottish secondary student, who is set to

do their prelims in the next 2 months, I’ve been looking into studying apps. One thing i’ve noticed is that there is no National 5 Spanish option. Nat5 French is there, but I really need both French and Spanish on the app as i’ve taken both subjects. Apart from this, it is a good app for studying.

Up until now I couldn’t figure out how to revise Physics. Thank you so much for creating such an amazing source for information!

However, I personally am more of a visual learner. I think that of the flash cards contained more images, I could learn the information a bit more effectively. I think this could definitely be a concept that your team could play with allowing students for a more personalised study experience.

I came to this app since I loved the BBCbitsize website in yr9, it’s an okay app but not what I was expecting. It doesn’t have all the exam material for the different subjects (ie: history is lacking a few parts) and I you can’t take a practice test for some (if not all) subjects, which, was my favourite part of the website (I would take the test first to see what I instinctively remembered then revise what I got wrong). I’ll keep using the app for now but I hope it gets better. 😀

This app has options which I have not seen on an education app.

The user interface is fantastic and the fact that it calibrates to your own subjects and shows you what’s necessary is unparalleled by any other education app. But however, there is a massive problem. As soon as I have done all of this, ready to start my revision, it continuously keeps saying “Sorry not responding” and honestly it is irritating when you’re trying to get some revision done. And on the off chance you do get it to load, when going onto the next page it simply doesn’t load it and you see that annoying message “Sorry not responding”. Ruined my productive mood and hasn’t helped at all.

Right so I was wondering if there could be a feature where you have maybe a schedule and maybe also add to the schedule tasks from the app that you want to do by a certain time (set deadlines) as it’d be easier to keep track of how far you are and how much progress you should be making.

It would be so helpful for me and I’m sure it would be for others too.

I’m a year 10 student at a public school, I have been using the app for about a week now and it has really helped me make revision notes and cue cards in preparation for my GCSEs. So far it has helped with notes for Romeo & Juliet, it has really been beneficial for making character profiles and analysis’. The only thing I recommend to improve would be the section for maths, it could be more practice questions and less notes. Overall good app

I am really was struggling knowing how to revise for my mocks but I found this app. It allowed me a relaxed and easy at to revise. However, I do think it would be nice if you included wether it is a paper 1 or 2 topic, how to answer certain questions and if you included crime and punishment, Nazi Germany and America West in the Edexcel history section. Overall all this app is amazing and is really helpful.

This app is amazing! I’m remembering so much; it’s so easy to access, it doesn’t feel like revision and it’s definitely going to help with my GCSEs. The only thing is it would be amazing if it had a mode so the flash cards could be red to you as I’m dyslexic and it can sometimes get in the way of the leading but other than that it is amazing!

A Year 10 student here from a top grammar school ( not to brag hehe ). The only problem I have with the app is that there just isn’t enough detail when compared to the website itself. I downloaded the app to get a more enjoyable experience with a polished interface that couldn’t be created on a website, however I came to an unpleasant surprise when the lack of notes were there. I get it about the whole condense important stuff, but... especially for subjects like RS/RE you really need to pack in the points and drench them in quotes. Also, I don’t know if my school just does this, but we have a ‘themes’ paper, and that whole subject isn’t even on there. So... you know.

My main issue is the detail, maybe just import all the info from the website to the app, people only download the app for the interface, that shouldn’t be a reason to cut down on imports quotes... and also add more questions in the quiz.

I’ve been using this app in preparation for my national 5’s. I think it would be good if you didn’t have to accept all your subjects every time you open the app. I also think it would be good if the quizzes were separate from flash cards. Overall I really like this app though.

Every single time I open the app it seems to reset all the info about the country I’m in, what subjects I do etc. Why can’t it just save what I put in the first place??? So inconvenient having to log in and see that I have to pick each exam-board again and again for every subject. It’s such an easy fix that you rubbish developers can get right

This app is so good. It has all the key information condensed on flash cards prompting active recall which is very helpful. Only thing I would improve is to have an option to ‘study separately’ or perhaps star one of the cards, but otherwise brilliant!

The app is okay at best. A search function needs to be added. A lot of the things from the website are missing too! For example, the reactivity series(chemistry) or General Douglas Haig(history). Why are flash cards the only thing you can do? A web-view needs to be added, with every piece of info the web-article shows!

So i was trying to make an account to log into the app. I put in my email and all my other information and then I got a read note saying I had already registered. I have never made an account on bitesize and I went to see if I could log into this ‘so called’ account and it then says to me that I need to make an account with that email! The same email I had just used to try and make an account! It’s really awful and I need something to do my revision with. This looked perfect - I am very annoyed!

This app has really helped with revision, I can definitely see an improvement in my knowledge because of this app. However, I take GCSE music and the app doesn’t have a most of the subjects I cover. I do ocr, but I can’t see a way that I can change it choose an exam board. Other than that, this app is amazing and a life saver, would definitely recommend!

Love this app!! My computer is broken so glad I can use Bitesize on my phone instead and also at school!! It would be good if you could or in GCSE Spanish as I take that but it isn’t an option. A brilliant app for revision and notes and it presents what a good revision app should be, but the only annoying thing is the fact that you have to chose your exam board every time you enter the app, (for all subjects apart from religious studies) and there is no clear way to track progress in the ‘Test Yourself’ quizzes. I believe that the tracking ability could be improved for all subjects, just so that you know where you may be struggling.

I love this app for revising for exams however when I try and open my history something goes wrong please fix ASAP as my exams are just in a few weeks and need to revise! I am on aqa and when ever I click on history it try’s to load then pops up with ‘oops how embarrassing something when wrong try again later’ I keep going back to it and nothing changes.

I’m in year eleven and this is really helpful, but I would love an option to download sets of cards so I can use them offline. This would mean I could go through them on the bus etc without using all my data. Other that that, it’s a great app, but it would be 300% better with the download option

Hi, year 10 student speaking. This app is a really good premise but I just wish it functioned better...

- Everytime I go onto the app the subjects have reset onto what I had last year, meaning I constantly have to edit my options

- As well as this, it says you only have to choose the exam board once but I have to choose it everytime I reopen the app :(

A few suggestions for improvements:

- Label the units. For example I do OCR gateway sciences and they use a labelling system (e.g. C3.2) for organising the topics and sub-topics. Something like this would make finding the relative resources a lot easier.

- Add more subjects: I do GCSE Economics and there is only a GCSE business option, which is a tad annoying

I hope you take this review into consideration as this app has the potential to be very brilliant.

As I am going through my chemistry revision on Periodic Table groups- higher. I did the test on the end of the topic. On question three it says, “which noble gas has the lowest boiling point?” Which I answered helium but then after the test and looking at my results it says I was wrong and then it literally says no lie, helium has the lowest boiling point? Get this fixed man especially for kids doing higher paper and need science go get in the A levels that they want🙄🙄🙄
