Amazing
This game is great, only flaws I have found are that AR doesn’t work on iPads most of the time so ppl with only iPads sometimes cannot pass research tasks. Also if you wouldn’t mind could you make it so you can get more coins each day, for example if you have a gengar in one gym for four days and at the same time a raichu in another gym for six days, you get 50x4 coins for Gengar when it is defeated and 50x6 for Raichu. Or 50 coins everyday from the free box. Also can you have the option to bring back some of the Transfer Pokémon as on Rookidee day I transferred by mistake a +2000 CP Corvisknight that knew the powerful attack and also 5 of my most powerful Corvisquires. So yeah. But other than that, the game is amazing.

i’ve been using my pokémon go plus for a year with my old iphone 13 and recently upgraded to 16 pro max and the pokémon go plus doesn’t want to connect, i booted up the old phone and unpaired but still doesn’t work on the new iphone

Ever since the game was acquired by Scopely the amount of money that is required to take part in all the events properly is absurd, £5 for an event ticket each week, £8 for a monthly battle pass, £2 for community, it’s endless. It’s honestly a joke, I used to love this game pre-Covid, but coming back to it now I just can’t justify all these costs as they really add up.

A spoofers paradise safe in the knowledge customer support is hopeless
Annoying that scopely now shakedown the consumer so badly for money to get stuff (everything behind a soft paywall), but the game is riddled with cheats that bully areas unchallenged. You can report it…but their customer service is little more than auto replies pretending they are investigating or checking.

Been playing since 2024. It’s really good, gets you out walking and exploring new places. But it’s also becoming ‘pay to play’. Unless you’re lucky to live near an established community, it’ll cost to do any 3+ star raids via remote raids.

Good idea, bad execution
The raids are so terrible. You already do the hard part of getting together a bunch of people to take down the raid boss (because of course you can’t do it alone) and STILL can’t catch it despite 10+ excellent curveball throws all with a golden razz berry used. Why? What’s the point? There’s no reward for the hard work you’ve done and is just very unsatisfying in a game. Don’t bother downloading it, I’m going to delete it now. Terrible game

Good for travelling, bad for budgeting
Pokémon GO is a travel-based, mixed-reality app which invites players to catch and battle dozens of unique creatures, known as Pokémon, whilst travelling on the go, hence the title.
This can be a useful companion app for adding additional Pokémon to your Nintendo Switch games (e.g. Sword & Shield, Scarlet & Violet, etc.) via the compatible Pokémon HOME app.
However, like with most free-to-start games and apps, Pokémon GO comes with a lot of trial-and-error when it comes to catching and battling Pokémon.
Unlike in the mainline Pokémon games, catching Pokémon in this app requires players to flick the screen with precise aim, speed, and timing. Players whom use one hand can spin small circles before throwing to perform handy curveball throws, increasing your chances of catching Pokémon.
Between catching and battling Pokémon, you can gain healing items and goods by passing PokéStop points at various locales, from bus stops to landmarks. Unfortunately, free-to-play users may find that their bag would fill up quickly as they start playing.
And thus, to all players whom would consider unlocking premium features in this app via micro-transactions, I would strongly advise prioritising increasing bag capacity, to store plenty of items, and spending on nothing more.
Finally, all Pokémon battles occur in real-time action as opposed to turn-based combat. Each Pokémon is measured in power by Combat Points. The higher the Combat Points, the more powerful a Pokémon is. Battles are mostly a matter of button-mashing via tapping the screen to deal primary attacks and, when your special move meter is filled, unleashing secondary attacks.
All in all, Pokémon GO is most useful for catching additional Pokémon outside the Nintendo Switch games, especially when linked to the handy Pokémon HOME app. But please remember to stay safe whilst traveling in public, especially in harsh weather conditions and after dark.

Raid bosses legendaries are impossible to catch and they only stick about for a week so is you can’t catch them and they go onto a new raid boss then better luck next year

Pokémon go is a rather exquisite application. It’s excellent work of 3 Dimensional artwork, an amazing set of music and wonder. It has changed my life. Because I was trying to catch a Pokémon while on the road and an oncoming car hit me. I am writing this in my last moments. But I have it five stars because I wanted to end it all. I’m tired of living. And Niantic’s masterpiece let me escape this living nightmare.

Pros and cons of Pokemon Go
This game is amazing! Been playing for a year now and nothing ever gets boring!!
However, it is a bit different from normal games and there are some cons…
Pros: This main feature of this game is taken for granted- interacting with the real world in the game is much cooler than it sounds
You go out into the real world so you can take long relaxing walks while playing the game
There’s always something to do and it’s never boring because of new events and tours
You can be relaxed or competitive
You can meet up with the local community to take down strong pokemon
You can take long breaks and play over many days rather than all at once
Very rewarding

Cons: it’s kind of hard for free to play players, so it will take longer to get strong Pokemon for them

Hard to play by yourself, most legendary raids(boss battles) require 3 trainers.
Hard for people in rural places
Don’t expect to get strong Pokemon straight away!! This isn’t really a con but this game takes a lot of patience and it’s usually months before you get decent at the game.
Well, the pros outweigh the cons really and I definitely recommend this app! The game is constantly being updated to add more events and features. Poor game
This game is getting boring the main reasons for this are the Go team rocket shadow Pokémon have a limited variety of battling lineups. I I always seem to rescue the same shadow Pokémon on a regular basis, the same for the 7 day research I seem to get a limited range of Pokémon. Rarely do I get a different Pokémon. Also the egg hatching Pokémon don’t seem to change either more variety needed. It gets boring when you are catching the same Pokémon over & over gain. For instance the research reward Pokémon I seem to get the most is Jangmo-o, Frigibax or Mawile. The Pokémon you catch in the rewards needs to vary more often. Another problem the trainers in the battle seem to cheat some how you can use similar Pokémon with the same attack but the other trainer seems to be a faster attack yet it’s the same attack for example hydro cannon you use Swampert it’s hydro cannon seems slower than the other trainers swampert with hydro cannon. Another issue is the game only works with Wi-Fi you need to have your phone data switched on so I struggle with Pokestops & gyms unless free Wi-Fi is available, like pub, shop or cafe Wi-Fi. So can’t even do routes or route research. As can’t afford to keep using phone data.

Game seems stale
Don’t get me wrong, I play the game every day and find enjoyment here and there, but as of recent it seems the game really needs a quality of life update… Animations are sloppy, such as dynamax flying Pokémon leaving craters in the ground.. from the air, catch assist Pokémon animations are just a still jpeg of a Pokémon gliding in without any sort of animation, gym battles are boring and the background clearly has no effort put in to even look like there’s a real audience. Encounter animations are stale too, like clicking on a Pokémon and first encounters shouldn’t just be a Pokémon swinging side to side, but showing at least a little emotion? In terms of events this game doesn’t fall short, if you have a group of friends to play with there’s always something going on, but it’s obvious that’s where the companies focus lies, on the paid tickets for terrible research and remote raids being extortionately priced.. who is going to be able to save 50 coins a day for 4 days to afford 1 pass when the event will be over by then?
All in all this game has its fun moments, but really needs some more effort put into the little things by developers instead of just focusing on how many people are going to pay. People will start to get bored and go elsewhere, I know I will eventually at this current rate.

No care for the players money grabbing and does not care about kids or the poor
I have been a pokemon fan since it first aired. I collected cards got a gameboy and played the first games. When I got told about pokemon go I was static about it you didn’t need to spend money as you would get all the free tasks with extra bonus and even legendary pokemon from it.
Now it’s about pay money for this pay money for that if you want any bonus or any pokemon. They talk about a randomizer that’s meant to do the shiny pokemon and not ristricting accounts but I can catch 400 pokemon and get no shinys and spend 50 pound on there game tickets which is also include a increase in shinys but no I catch 400 get none someone will catch 6 and get 2 its a fraud they restrict your accounts and give the rich that spends the most money every bonus every shiny because they have money. The customer service team and management are a joke they cannot keep up with what they are saying and lieing all the time they won’t give you refunds on anything because they don’t want to give money back but they will just take take. This game is what I love but they have messed so much and even other countries get the best go fest and tours but never think about anyone else because they know they will get money so if you cannot afford to play this game don’t bother playing anymore or downloading it. The avatar and self expression.
The new avatar provides fun ways to customise characters. It is a way to express individuality, to identify with your character. However People identify with characters in fiction no matter how different physically they are from them. People play as characters worlds away of who they are because that is who they wish to be. People even identify with paintings and phrases on cups. Why am I talking about this? Because the goal of this update was to provide players a new a way to identity with the avatar however most players identify not with the new avatar but with what came before. So if the goal is to help players express themselves, as a gift to the players who passionately love this game, please bring back the old one as an option. Even if it comes without all the customisable options that is how most despite size, gender or colour desire to express there individuality because sometimes people prefer to be something different in this fictional world of there own. but that was taken away from them so please bring it back as an option.

Amazing game just a few bugs
So let’s start of the game is amazing I’ve had it for a couple years now and it’s amazing the graphics are great and the gameplay almost never gets boring because there’s so many Pokémon to catch and different things to do so you will never get bored. So now the downsides so as I said it is an amazing game but all games have downsides so the game has some bugs for example sometimes you just press on something and either just freezes your screen or goes white so then you can’t do it so you can bug out a lot which is annoying and another thing is it will randomly log you out say if you got away from the game for a while it would log you out so that is annoying. But overall game is amazing and I would highly recommend it and if your starting off get ready for an amazing adventure and if you read to here you are a legend thank you for your time.

Mostly good… but
Now I love this game but there are a few problems with it, I mean it’s great because you get out of the house more and walk about a lot but there are some problems. PROBLEM 1 The game randomly signs you out. Once I was about to play Pokémon go when I had all 3 galarian birds, a shiny gyarados and a mewtow and I went to play Pokémon go just to see that it had signed me out! Even when I put the password for my account in it didn’t work, I was devastated that I had to restart so please fix this problem. PROBLEM 2 Poke coins. First of all I’m not trying to say that it’s a bad idea but I just think they are a bit expensive and the things you buy with poke coins are even worse so please could you lower the prices. PROBLEM 4 This is my biggest issue with the game… hackers, when I go into a trainer battle people I’m playing against have more than three Pokémon, can use their special move without a cooldown or just take all my Pokémon out with one hit and I don’t mean one hit each, I mean one hit all together so Niantic please PLEASE sort out the hacker problem (and all the others too but mostly the hacker problem)

I love Pokémon go but
the 50 coins per day limit is ridiculous. If my Pokémon is in a gym for a month and I can only get 50 coins back from it how is that fair, or no coins at all if I already reached the daily limit. You could at least do 50 coins a day PER POKÉMON. And once the Pokémon has been in the gym for over 8 hours 20 ( the time it takes to reach the 50 coin limit) you could instead make the Pokémon earn coins at a slower rate (at the least). It’s just unfair gameplay
remote raid passes, premium passes etc are way too expensive considering how long it takes to earn coins in a gym, with the stupid 50 coin limit. 195 coins for 1 REMOTE RAID PASS is crazy, no one can afford that when we also have to keep upgrading our item and Pokémon storage daily which costs 200 coins. To be able to upgrade your storages by only 50 spaces which you pretty much need to do daily you need 400 coins which is 8 days of having your Pokémon in a gym and getting kicked out. So not guaranteed. And then you have to try and save up for another 4 days for a single remote raid pass? Like seriously.

It was hard to login because you had all these pins and names but when you’re in it’s like amazing whenever I do have a request that when you’re in a battle against someone else randomly in the world, when you finished the battle, you can catch one of the Pokémon without taking it off them that would be cool because they might have a super cool Pokémon or super lame one anyway the reason I give it five stars is because even if you’re locked out even if you’ve closed the app it’s still record you’re walking so it’ll still hatch eggs and it just amazing it’s not a game you sit on and play because I do you have to walk around that’s what it does. It makes people get outside and want to walk and catch new Pokémon and hatch amazing eggs and that’s the joy of the game knowing that people are getting outside to play game so that they can get more fitness and health in, overall it is one of my favourite games and I hope everyone enjoys it too💗👍👍👍👍👍

Best game ever
I been playing since 2024 but I am lvl 46 bcuz the events have been amazing like primal Kroger and Groudon dialga and palkia also shadow mewtwo and Lugia also all spotlight hours have boosted shiny rates and 2x exp and sometimes 2x stardust so just need star piece and lucky egg for getting lot of level also if there is 5* raid during the spotlight hour u get 20k exp instead of 10k also if u use lucky egg u get 40k or smth near that . Also the boosted shiny rates on the raid only 1/20 or 1/10 but then normal 5* is 1/512 if no event smth and mega Rayquaza was best in shared skies season cuz I got 4 shiny and 2 lucky from friends and then shadow lugia got 8 shiny in 30 raids honestly that’s super good even though 1/20 shiny rates also world of wonders shadow mewtwo was best got 1 shiny but I only need 1 because mewtwo is one of my fav pokemon also reshiram and zekrom I’m still waiting but u need to wait because they are super good raid counters so it might release in December or November this game is amazing I hope this gets more updates!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

BWEARE! Forced arbitration has been added!
Fun game, however the developers have decided to be shady, and have added forced arbitration to the terms of service! To add on top of that, you can’t easily disagree to it. If you click the disagree button, it signs you out of your account! The only way to disagree or opt out is to write an email to the developer with your Full name, address and email address within 30 days of being forced to accept to these dodgy terms! This is normally only done when the developer has messed up big time, or is planning on doing something shady in the future! I will continue to play this game as I have a lot of time put into it, but I will do so with the satisfaction of having gone through the pain and annoyance of writing out the email with all the details necessary to opt out of this awful forced arbitration. To finish off, it is never a good look when a company does this. It takes away important rights from normal people, such as the right to a class action lawsuit if there is a huge data breach from corporate incompetence. Proceed with caution, and awful job Niantic!

Pls add this update (might be a bit hard)
Well,Pokémon go is a very fun AR game but I love collecting Pokémon cards as well and I have quite a lot of them. I’m not so good at the game either and I am rather unlucky so for a great exciting update for other trainers I’d like to recommend this (continue if you wish •~•) so as I was saying about pokemon cards the update will include them in it . So,I would love if there would be a update so that trainers could go in AR mode for scanning Pokémon cards if you scan them you would get that Pokémon that you scanned in the game if it’s a shiny you have a 70% chance of getting it as a shiny if you got the 30% you would get 10 candies with the Pokémon . One last thing this would be hard because you would need to contact the people who made Pokémon cards but thanks for listening if you up to this part It is a AMAZING game and TYSM if you add this yours sincerely, guysaberrrr (in game name btw)BYEEEEE👋

The avatar update is horrible. The proportions as genuinely ghastly, with the excessively long arms and torsos, small heads and short necks, and stumpy, yet somehow stick-thin legs. All the female characters look masculine, with the absence of feminine curves and hips. All the male characters appear to have female chests. The skin tones are washed out. The hair options are still extremely limited (no bald option, no facial hair option, only a couple of textured options and only 2 long options which look straggly and interact weirdly with the bodies / backdrops.) The clothes (which many of us have spent coins on) don’t fit correctly any more. They look awful, and outfits paid-for before the avatar change should be refunded as they are no longer what we paid for. The character movements are lumbering and ugly. The whole thing cheapens the look of the game. When I heard about the update to avatars and the increased customisation, I was excited, but the execution has been unbelievably bad and missed many, many marks. And finally, since this cosmetic update, the app is crashing even more than it used to.

To good but just one thing annoying
Ok let’s start from the start. This game is amazing! I have had this game since I was literally 4 years old and I have not got bored of it, but the only thing that bugs me is that it logs out randomly. I know it logs out when you haven’t played on it for a long time but I played it like a day ago and when I checked it, it was logged out! I did know my password so I just ‘logged’ back in but for some reason, it couldn’t. I tried again but it still didn’t let me in. I was getting to my edge so I went to my sibling and they actually saved it so she tried it but it still didn’t like me. I was not gonna give up because I did so much on that account and wasn’t gonna let all my work slip away. I tried every password that was saved but it still didn’t let me in. The only thing that I could do was just make another account. I nearly exploded! But seriously, forgetting this whole not getting in account thing, this game is absolutely brilliant. I would suggest to people that normally get left alone some where like at home. It has surprises, cute clothing and much more witch I am to lazy to type. I love this game from the moon and back. Also if you read this far, you are a champion. Ty so much for these wonderful games and bye.

I absolutely adore this game!
I love this game, it is my absolute favorite and I recommend it to all ages. Here is why.
From when I was a kid (I regret to say I am still only 12) I first saw this game and thought “oh this looks like fun and colorful” I was playing on My dad’s account and I was instantly transfixed by the graphics and animations of all the various Pokémon and since that moment I have been entranced by Pokémon. Not just Pokémon go but cards and other games. I have played it almost every month/week since. It is a great game and the graphics are amazing. I especially loved the fact it encourages people to go outside. The map is beautiful and the design put into the Pokémon is awe inspiring. The raiding is great (even though where I live people rarely ever join raids except for big events) There are events frequently and it is amazing to participate in them (but please can Niantic put the remote raid price down to 100 again)

Excellent game concept, poorly delivered
Pokémon is always a success, but this game is what happens when disaster capitalism meets a brilliant franchise. In three and a half years playing I have never felt the developer (Niantic) cares about anything other than money. Updates are frequent and untested, often leading to disastrous results negatively affecting gameplay. The support team are as useful as a ham sandwich is to a vegan 30,000 miles away.
The Pokémon brand is what keeps this game going, were it not for the nostalgia many thirty-somethings have for their childhood this would’ve never been a success. Niantic’s other (failed) projects demonstrate their overall capability at delivering enjoyable games. .. thank God The Pokémon Company has had some say over this one or it would’ve been an even bigger disaster. Aside from the financial benefit I imagine TPC wish they’d never got involved with this **** show.
1 star because this game could be so much better and Niantic have zero interest in legitimate feedback. If Hanke spent as much time concentrating on quality gameplay instead of fantasising over AR functionality (that everyone immediately disabled) this game could easily generate twice as much revenue and prove far more sustainable. Instead we’re stuck with a square peg constantly attempting to be shoved into a round hole.

Love the game but…
I have played Pokémon go for a few years now and I do love the game. I enjoy the simplicity of it and love collecting the new Pokémon that are always being added. I do like to play alone, there aren’t that many playing it in my area anyway so the new additions of parties just doesn’t work for me. Could I offer a suggestion that we introduce a way to decline tasks that we don’t wish to complete, I won’t ever be able to play in a party so I will never be able to complete this task. There is also quite a number of send a gift tasks to complete now which are quite excessive especially for those of us who don’t have friends on the game, send 60 gifts and so on. Why? I understand that for some that is easy but for me who only has the one friend on the game this takes me absolutely ages. I know it’s all about getting outside, which is understandable but there are some of us who prefer to do this alone and I just think some of these tasks take away the fun of the game.

Banger Game but…
I have only been playing for just over a year and I have really enjoyed the experience. It’s not only gotten me fit but I’ve had fun in the process. The game is really immersive and constantly evolving in unique and fun ways like with events; you never know what’s coming next! They continue to be amazing and I really enjoy it. I personally am a huge shiny Pokémon finatic and I love the availability of them! I’ve gotten only two shinies from raids but they were both spectacular which brings me to my but- the remote raids are too expensive, pokecoins are too hard to get- remove the pokecoin limit please! Personally I don’t have any other complaints other than that! I’d love it if they added gigantamax as another version of mega evolution to give more options and then put them in the same raid type. Also, it would be really cool if I could see other players on the map so I could know if there is anybody nearby as it can feel lonely until you realise that there was somebody playing next to you but you weren’t at all aware!

Meh can be WAY BETTER
I am very fond of pokemon go like i still love it now its a really fun and enjoyable game to play with your friends. It encourages u to go outside and have fresh air which I think is good for a kid who loves gaming but doesn’t go outside nearly as much as doing so, so thats a good job but the reason i gave this a 1 star isn't because of the game its self but the company. The company has now lost Most of there player base because of the remote raiding feature. It was such a fun way to use your coins to get remote raid passes and get pokemon in raids u cant get in your exact location the remote raid passes used to cost 100 pokecoins which is the same as 2 days if u have pokemon in gyms which get knocked out after a day. They now increased it too like 180 which is 4 days of trying to get a Pokémon in your teams gym and wait each day to get a Pokémon knocked out of it. BUT thats not the only thing the company reduced the amount of raid passes a day to 5 a day which makes it 99% percent harder to get a shiny because shiny odds are 1 in 20 in legendary Pokémon raids so u have to get extremely lucky. My thoughts are the game is good the company can be 100% better and actually listen to their community

Go battle leagues
I started playing Pokémon go a good few years now after being a Pokémon fan throughout my childhood. I’ve really enjoyed the game and it’s different ways to play.
However since the raid passes were increased I’ve started to lose enjoyment of the game and I haven’t been so eager to play.
The main problem I am finding at the moment is when playing in the battle go league, if I try use a charge move, a lot of the time I could be pressing the charge move 5+ times and the opponent could press it freely and use it straight away. This has really gotten on my nerves because this has cost me countless games now. When trying to use my charge moves my Pokémon has not been in a fast attack, so I am. It getting any hits on the opponent’s Pokémon, and it seems like the opponent has used 2-3 fast attacks before they decide to use their charged move. This is then followed up with me not wanting to use my charge move as the opponent is using there’s so I can farm down the opponents health bar, but then the game automatically using my charge move, as if I pressed it after the cutscenes

Few issues
Pokémon go is probably one of my favourite game but there are still some issues that I want solved.
First off I want to say that I am mad about the eggs because some take 12KM to hatch and that can make legs hurt especially if you do a speedrun (although I’ve never seen one) and it’s nowhere near as annoying if you have lots of bruises on your legs so I would like an option to lower the length of walking you have to do for exchange for less CP.
Secondly I think Nianic should make pikachu need thunder stones to evolve to raichu and I’ve got a idea to earn them.
If you find a raids that have a pikachu or raichu aswell as stuff like that you need to beat them to get their stones or there can be a different type of gym which are like Pokémon sword gyms so if you beat an thunder gym you get a thunder stone.
Lastly I think there should be an option to alert your phone when there are 2000CP and over because that can be really useful because this week (It’s Wednesday) I lost a Charizard and a Blastoise but my aunt got them so that is unfair and I hope everyone agrees

Just a few things!
• I really do love the game, but i really wish the remote raid prices went back to normal.
seeing as the only way to get pokecoins is by gyms or purchasing them, the gyms only having a limit of 50 coins a day, it is pretty hard to get them. Some people live in small towns which goes on to my next point.
• I think everywhere should have plenty of gyms and pokestops for people, it is unfair on them if they have to travel far just to find a gym / pokestop. Some live so far away they even have to spoof, i used to live in a small town in 2017, it took months for me to level up to just level 20.
• Also i just wanna ask why is it so hard to catch starter pokémon?
I wasted so many pokeballs trying to catch an oshawott, and then it fled-
I caught a wild skeptile first try with a normal pokeball, and that's a stage 2 pokémon!
Starters don't even spawn alot, they are basics for gods sake-
• Okay but i will say i love the researches, it gives a chance for all players to get mythics and legendaries, and just pokémon in general.
• Overall the game is pretty good, it's pretty fun and encourages people to go out more, like me myself. I used to hate going outside, i was a very introverted person lol. Now me and my cousin and some of my friends go out practically everyday, i'm literally at the park white writing this.

**I’m taking the effort to re-write this review because Niantic deleted my original 1* review. If only the my spent as much time fixing the issues in the game as they did being petty the game would not be in the mess it is now**
It pains me to have to give a poor review to a game I have played since launch, and loved but it has been ruined by a clueless, tone-deaf developer who have only succeeded because the game has the Pokémon franchise attached to it. Niantic continues to release new bugs, ironic that these are the only new things they seem capable of releasing, never addresses the issues, and rarely apologies for the poor experience it causes. The recent changes to remote raids have severely affected rural players and suburban players who cannot do in person raids even if they wanted to. Niantic is determined to move back to 2019, when the world has clearly moved on. I wish they would be honest and state the reason for this is that they want to collect user movement data instead of this smokescreen or “communities playing together” - if they really believe this, why don’t they add features to encourage it???

Great game, don’t listen to the Reddit faux drama
I play this game religiously and it’s great. It has been great for getting out of the house during lockdowns and I really like long term grinding towards an end goal.
That’s what this game is, long term grind. The reviews and forums are absolutely full of people who want a shortcut - to be given things that others have earned - and have the audacity to say it’s all about access and inclusivity, and whilst this will be true in some cases it is CLEARLY a toxic fan base wanting things for free - they’ve just discovered that free apps rely on your data?! Colour me shocked.
Remote raid passes that allow you to catch legendary Pokémon without being there in person have recently gone up in price and limited to a certain amount per day. They have not been removed. They’ve added the chance of a free pass weekly. Price increases will never be greeted well but the way a section of the community has reacted is so disproportionate it is wild - there is NO reason you NEED to be doing more than 5 of these A DAY - if you were doing more than this before then the price increase is clearly not a problem for you.
TL/DR - Great game, great nostalgia and great for getting out of the house and grinding. Have a fun with it and play however you want but don’t mistake a mobile game company for something it isn’t.

Ignorant & punishing players
Niantic do not listen to the community about how they play or interact with the game. Instead of incentives, they’ve nerfed lots of features and basically punished and made it exceedingly clear that rural, disabled players or players unable to play with other people are NOT WELCOME. And that if you do stay you will be charged DOUBLE and get LESS rewards. Despite many outcries and dozens of false promises to improve they have lied and spat in the face of players. They have no respect for the community and won’t listen to feedback about their countless terrible decisions. Basically if you don’t live in the heart of a busy big city and are not able bodied and don’t work specific hours where you won’t see you family NIANTIC DONT WANT YOU PLAYING and will go out of their way to make it as hard and awkward as possible whilst rinsing you for money. More and more decisions lately have also been very obviously “CHARGE THE PLAYERS MORE GIVE THEM FAR LESS” and it’s been incredibly obvious, they treat the community like idiots. Like we haven’t played for over 6years. This last year and a half Niantic have become increasingly hostile towards the community as if they are a dictatorship. But they’re so out of touch with the community and realising people play this game for Pokémon NOT them. AVOID until they backtrack on disgusting ableist and community changes

Could be great if they let people play as they wanted
I started playing Pokémon go when it first came out, played for a year and then stopped. Last year I got back into it and Niantic had added lots of great content and mechanics. But since they then keep on making changes which restrict how people can play the game. The most recent change to almost double the cost of a remote raid and to limit the number of remote raids a day seriously affects those who used remote raids to be able to catch some the legendary Pokémon. As a parent of 2 toddlers who works from home all day I can’t get out and play much during the day, and certainly don’t have time to make friends with other players in the areas and meet up regularly (the elite raids are hard enough and we have plenty of warning on them). By the time I finish getting the kids to sleep the raids have pretty much finished in my area so I have been using remote raids to be able to raid with players in other time zones. Due to this I have spent quite a bit of money over the last year, at least £50, with this recent change it has become a lot more expensive to remote raid and it just doesn’t feel worth it any more. If this price increase doesn’t get reverted I don’t see me playing this game any more.

Good game; terrible company
This game was great. It had a variety of ways to play, was responsible for reigniting many peoples interest in Pokémon and drawing new players to the franchise - unfortunately, as time goes by they have done more and more to hamper the experience for those still playing. The changes to remote raiding are the last straw in this regard. Instead of listening to their player base, they instead opt to punish those still playing by drastically increasing the prices on remote raid passes, as well as limiting the amount people can do per day. Rather than buffing in person raids to make them preferable to remote raiding, they instead ruin remote raiding in a shallow attempt to make in person raiding more desirable.
What they fail to realise is the landscape of the game has changed. It is no longer 2016 - roving packs of players aren’t playing Pokémon go, traipsing from one gym to the next. The pandemic changed everything (and the popularity of the game was declining anyway). Now instead they opt to force people outside in a bid to secure user data (which is the real end game here). Hopefully it is worth the loss of a large amount of the playerbase, because which company decides to screw over one of its core sources of revenue. In a carrot and stick approach, they chose the stick - and whilst the game might survive, I personally will no longer play it. I doubt I’m the only one.

Amazing and terrible at the same time
Needs urgent quality of life changes. Needs the cost of in app purchases lowered 5 quid to catch a Pokémon? No thanks. Take the limits off of daily battles and free in person raids. Raids in particular are basically dead content at the moment. The pvp battles are riddled with frustration that need not be there. There is no information about there game inside there own game. You need to download a third party app to understand anything. There is no official guide and a lot of old/misinformation. The game could have a breath of life blown into it and be released as Pokémon go 2 without much cost to them but it looks like they’re happy milking a few die hard fans. Atleast update the information about specific Pokémon in the game, there attacks, speeds, damages and what these things actually mean and how they operate within the game itself as Pvm and pvp. The games a joke to be honest. It’s lowered the brand image of Pokémon but they don’t seem to care because only die hard fans are left on it.

this game is worth it
So, I’ve been playing this game for about half a year now and i have really enjoyed it. I respect the game encouraging you to get outside and get some fresh air, while still being able to grow your Pokémon collection. It gives a change from the main series games, as there are constantly new events, releases and more. It’s really fun to play with friends too. However, I have just a few problems for niantic to fix. Firstly, remote raid passes are really useful for obtaining legendaries, but are really difficult to get if you don’t pay money💵. Also to get the pokecoins, you need to have Pokémon in gyms for 12 hours to get only 50 pokecoins, and almost every useful shop item is above 100 pokecoins. Not to mention the 50 pokecoins daily limit from gyms, which limits you down to one raid pass per two days at best, and then there’s actually putting the Pokémon in gyms in the first place, and I live in the middle of nowhere so there’s nearly no gyms nearby. I could go on for a while, but I would just like niantic to update these struggles because as a free to play trainer, it’s a real problem. Amazing game in total, would reccomend to everyone and anyone.

Great game but very annoying yet also very addictive
I love Pokémon go and have been playing since like 2016, it gives me something to do on a family walk and I love the events (community days, raid days…) but there are also things I hate. Like when you finish a raid for a legendary and have killed several of my Pokémon and then it doesn’t actually let you have the Pokémon and it flees or when it showed me a shiny shadow Pokémon twice in a row and didn’t let me catch either of them despite getting several excellent throws.
Basically don’t get the game if you don’t want to get addicted, because I can almost guarantee it! You’ll will problem end up deleting it and throwing your phone in frustration (make sure to get a screen protector) and you will hate this game so much but also love it at the same time.
But despite how much I hate this game, I will still play it every day of the year. Because it’s a game that never gets old, there are new exciting updates at least once a month.

I do love this game, but…
So don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore this game and I play it a lot! It’s just the fact that I’ve been logged out of my accounts twice now.
I used to have a shared Pokémon account with my mum, we had a lot of progress, but then we stopped playing it for a while. When we went back on it though, we had of course been logged out. We remembered the email and password so we tried getting back in, but it said that we couldn’t for some reason? It was nothing big so we kind of just forgot about it and I made a new account, But that’s only the first time. I opened up the Pokémon app and expected things to be normal, but it had signed me out for some reason. I was thinking to myself “No biggie! I can remember the email and password.” So I tried logging back in to my account, only to find that it wouldn’t let me into my account.
Again, I do love this game and could ask nothing more of it, but it’s simply a shame that two of my accounts, both with a lot of progress, have been lost. I understand if this cannot be fixed but I just thought I would leave this review as a small warning about this! Thank you.

The best Pokémon game EVER! Nothing beats it
Ignore these bad reviews! This is the best game out and it’s also a lot of fun to play with friends. Sure it will cost you money if you get into it but what hobby doesn’t. Niantic arnt cheap with their prices but you can still make 50 coins a day without spending any money. If you like shiny Pokémon this is the game. With base rates of 1/500 and on event days shiny Pokémon rates drop to 1/50 or 1/24. I love it so much and yes it’s very addictive. But so satisfying when you get a good team to battle in the league against other players. Trading Pokémon is expensive as the game encourages you to build up friendship by sending gifts to your friends. There’s so much to learn with this game about all all the Pokémon and you can catch pretty much all the Pokémon out right now, minus about 200 but more than any other game in the series.
Catch your favourite legendaries in raids that change every week or so. You can find ways to get invited to raids filled with people. Amazing!

Pokémon Go
I have quite a lot to say about ‘Pokémon Go’, an interactive game in which encourages exercise and play. Firstly, I do think that the item storage limit could be updated to a larger amount - I can’t seem to keep it low enough! However, that would never compare to the graphics. Pokémon Go’s graphics are outstanding, plus the game does not reduce battery like other mobile games. As a Pokémon franchise addict, I can say this is a big add on to the television anime series, ‘Pokémon: Gotta Catch ‘Em All!’. I do recommend this for ages seven plus (7+) as the CP levels and other mathematical concepts of the game could be difficult for little ones to understand. Overall though, Pokémon Go is an enjoyable game for all and I highly recommend this for most ages of the family. To wrap this up, I’d like to say a massive congratulations on creating most Pokémon in the television series in the game. Great job!

Withcraft, satans trap
I absolutely loved this game for a very long time, was level 36, had some of the best pokemon in the game. But there is a really big problem which many people dont realise when enjoying themselves and playing. Once you start really making progress it becomes an addiction, a bad addiction. When you think about it, it looks really stupid and bad to walk around the world with your phone out catching virtual pokemon on your phone screen. Overtime, your life starts decaying and once you go outside you will instantly think of playing pokemon go and checking for a shiny pokemon. I have seen reviews about peoples lives being ruined but for me the biggest problem was that this in my eyes is considered withcraft. You play this game walking around the real world and catching mythical beings with some kind of mythical powers which some of are actually considered gods which is extremely offensive as a Christian. Little kids are falling into satans trap playing this game, and ruining their lives. I was affected by this but was saved by a priest, who prayed for me and helped me. If you are a mother or father reading this, please DO NOT let your kids play this game.

The Best Mobile Game Ever!
I started playing this in the Summer of 2020, and my love for this game has not changed since! Levelling up Pokèmon can be a bit expensive (in stardust, and sometimes the candies of the Pokèmon you are powering up!) but isn't that basically the whole point? Of course, why would any game company (Niantic on this occasion) make a game that was easy to finish within a few days? Pokèmon GO is just one of those games that can become a bit lengthy… I myself have been playing this game for nearly 2 years, and I am only on Level 33! I started to stop using Stardust as i was constantly poor, only at about a few thousand at a time, and Stardust isn't easy to get hold of! (Unless you compete in 3 Raids a day). Once you have enough of Candies/Stardust, it disappears like water down a drain. But, yet again, this links back to making the game lengthy! This fact doesn’t bother me though, as I like to play games that take a long time to finish! Overall, I recommend Pokèmon GO to all ages, (if you can understand how this works!) and if you ever come across this game, just take a minute to try it and see if it is one you enjoy!

I really enjoy the game I normally play on the daily when I take my dog for a walk 2-3 times a day but it’s annoying because where I live there is only 2 gyms in my area and I wish there was more but it’s always the same someone will camp the pokestop and ruin the game for other players by taking out there pokemon instantly and leaving the gym white (no one has claimed it) and the will constantly do that but my main worry is can you pls add a feature where if you join a raid it will keep you in there permanently until the raid has ended because I was playing the other day and I got into a Lugia raid with 5 other people and 3 of them quit out of nowhere and then we finished the raid and I didn’t get the chance to catch it 😐 so I got really annoying and screamed till my throat hurt my mum said wth are you doing I explained to her and (she also plays pokemon but she’s a sweat at lv 48 😒) but anyway pls just add something so you can’t leave during a raid battle

Now. Pokémon go is a great game. It works well, the battle system is great, the Pokémon are great, the community is great yadda yadda. If I were to leave a 5 star review, then it would be if the people who work on the game work a big on the glitches. Don’t get me wrong the game is awesome and very addicting when you play it once or twice, but the glitches affect the gameplay. I’ve sometimes sat for around 10 minutes with a screen in a black world with the only one accompanying me is my avatar. Or the game crashing. In the span of an hour my game crashed 4 times today. And that’s only today. Also, another issue that goes around with players is the ranking system. The first time I battled, ( my strongest Pokémon was like 1100 ) I came up against some guy with a dragonite, a groudon and a tyranitar. To let players actually level up in the ranking system I suggest you fix that up. Overall though, it’s a great game and I recommend it for anyone into Pokémon.

Terrible game.
The item storage is awful, and needs constantly upgrading, just to carry more, not only that, but it barely even upgrades by much. Having to upgrade your Pokemon storage to?. Even cosmetics for your character cost, and a lot to. Trading with players, ends up costing you the EXP required to level your Pokemon, what kind of joke is that? Catching Pokemon. can be more frustrating then it is worth, especially when they go up in CP. Upgrading Pokemon in this game, is really, really bad. It is literally a nightmare, just upgrading one Pokemon, even a Weedle, can end up costing a fortune. Leveling up your character is awful, it can take days, just to go up 1 level, even more later. This game does not have to cost you money, but it will definitely make your life much, much harder, if you do not. For a Pokemon game, it is far too frustrating to play. I would not recommend this game, especially to children. I would like to also note, the combat in the game, is also incredibly bad, with the A.I. being able to respond much quicker. To make things worse, when the game recommends a team, I normally ended up getting recommended to use weaker Pokemon, that would just end up losing. Just buy the cards, or play the offical games, because this is not worth it, especially in the long run.

Strange glitches but i love it!
Okay so i have played this for a while but for the past week i have noticed a few bugs/glitches/unnecesary changes in the game. First glitch is when you flee sometimes the battle music can still be heard. Another glitch is that the pokemon sound (when you encounter it) also doesent play (not sure if this is a glitch but if it isnt please change it back to how it was) im also not sure what you were thinking making the screen flash everytime you flee/encounter a pokemon. It is really annoying, slow, laggy and it didnt even need changing in the first place! It was fine how it is..! You also made fleeing way slower and its annoying to shiny check pokemon! Please fix all these they are really annoying to deal with. I also have some ideas to make the app better. If you could have another way to get incubators (without spending pokecoins) it would be really nice. If you could also add a way to get your pokemon off of gyms would also be really nice! I had a pokemon stuck in a gym for over 7 days. Another feature is more ways to get pokecoins other than gyms. And also a way to exceed the 50 coins a day cap would be nice. Please fix the bugs though... seriously..

Fantastic
Such a great way to get out and walk the streets. Really does help you get fit. I currently play when commuting and cover over 70k a week. It’s perfect as it makes boring commutes into a daily experience of challenges, beating gyms and team rocket, catching Pokémon etc.
Some complain about region locked Pokemon! Yes there are certain Pokémon set to different regions. Yet without leaving my country, or trading, or spoofing; I have collected many farfetched and a few tauros!
Some moan about the gyms, mainly a lot of newer players whom didn’t play when it was the old system which got abused by people especially spoofers. As the gyms didn’t have a limit and payed out coins faster, so the spoofers just took all the gyms and as soon as you took it back someone would take it back off you. Most of the times I was to only one at the gym! So don’t know who was taking it! 🤷♂️ This killed the game economy as it rewarded either those with homes close enough to gyms or spoofers, so they could just rack up coins. The new system maybe annoying at times with Pokémon away for a while. But Pokémon in multiple gyms can get you more coins over time as they gradually get knocked out of the gyms.
They have added so much since release, more gens of Pokémon, battles (which is a really nice way of testing yourself against others), seasonal events, professor’s quests and so on. They believe and value their loyal fan base but also want to continue to grow it.

Pokémon Go
The game is very good it’s self, inspiring people to walk around and catch Pokémon. The thing that’s really letting it down is the battling feature. Essentially, there are two types of attacks: the fast attacks that you tap, and the charged attacks, which you can use after using a certain amount of fast attack. The problem with it is that different charged attacks take more or less fast attacks to use. The difference doesn’t sound like much but in battle it is very OP. I’ve fought some Pokémon that can release a charged attack after around 5 fast attacks. To put this into perspective, most Pokémon take around 15 fast attacks to make a charged attack. This means that it releases a powerful attach 3 times faster, and it can also run through your protect shields. If all Pokémon attacked at the same speed and the charged attacks took the same amount of fast attacks, then that would be much more equal. To make some Pokémon better, you could instead change the power of their attacks. If this was put into effect I would leave a 5-star review.
Other than the battling the game is pretty much perfect, except from the fact that it takes quite a bit of battery life, which isn’t great considering it encourages you to walk around outside, without a charger, and using your (or someone else’s) mobile data.

I love the game but customer support is limited and I’m having some serious progression issues
All in all I love Pokémon go. I started playing when the game first came out and played for about a year. After that I stopped playing for a while and only played on occasion. I have recently reinstalled the game and have having a lot of fun again! All the new additions they have made since the launch of the app complement each other nicely to make it a very fun and enjoyable gameplay experience.
The only issues I am having is with the egg hatching and buddy Pokémon candy collection. No matter how much I walk my eggs are stuck in 0km meaning I am unable to hatch any of my eggs. This is the same for my buddy Pokémon. I have done all of the troubleshooting steps that are recommended. I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice now to no avail. I have spoken with customer support after a full 24hours of waiting and they unfortunately were not able to help me. This is quite a major progression issue as eggs are a vital part of collecting new Pokémon and candy’s and I find them to be one of the more fun parts of the game.
Other than that I really love this game.

I’ve loved the game ever since I started playing it back when it first came out and it’s really incredible to see the game has changed a lot. These changes have all been good ones in my view, like the new generations and all the community days which allow you to get shinies and the evolution chain of that Pokemon and I really don’t think Niantic have overpriced anything and I believe the community day challenge pass for £0.79 is amazing! It gives you candies for that Pokemon and like the recent electabuzz and magmar community days last month you got a lot of that Pokemon and candies for them by catching 15 of them which with incense (lasting 3 hours on community days) wasn’t very hard. Better yet shinies were rather easy in community days and I got about 5 - 10 shinies each time but to make it more reasonable they decreased the odds. However I thought this was a good thing as you still get shinies but not so many that it makes it boring. To this day I have gotten a shiny from all the community days I’ve played.
Overall this game is a blast and I can’t wait for gen 6!!!

Logging into the game
Pokemon Go, has taken over my life since 2018, and I love it, so why the one star? Three words, logging in continuously! Every time I’m playing Pokemon go, I get logged out the day after because of WiFi, and it’s annoyingly hard to get back on the game, especially with the new update where it’s Pokemon trainer club and niantic kids! I just wished that they would make it so that you don’t have to take a super long time trying to log in again but get rejected every single time, and I wish you didn’t have to use WiFi to be able to play, because that would just log you out instantly and it won’t work when you restart either, So NiANTIC, for the people who love your game Pokemon go even me, please fix it so that you can log into the app and play without using Pokemon trainer club or niantic kids, and don’t keep it so that the game will reject you when you try to log in, but aside from all those problems the game is great and it’s animated in an amazing way! But seriously Niantic can you please fix the problems I just said, listen to the other reviews here and make Pokemon go a game for everyone else and me as well, and if not welp I’m deleting unless you fix these problems I have with the game.

Get this now!!!!
This game is probably my most played game that I’ve ever got and u should definitely ignore everyone who said not to buy this. I even encouraged one of my mates to play for a day and he ended up playing for about 2 years! I haven’t encountered anyone who dislikes this game and I am a very social person, so that is about 40 people! They commonly update the game and they evenly balance out the candy u need for good evolutions. The newly added mega pokemon really gave the game new life because now even people with low cp pokemon can have a chance to get a mega, which is very thoughtful to the early players. But I have been playing the game for a while now and I have noticed some problems with it, like if u have bad connection and tap on a gym or pokemon or something u will be stuck in your position and you won’t be able to actually catch the pokemon. But overall, I will probably still be playing this in the apocalypse, so please support and get this game.

Love it
The 8 year gap between my brother and me has made it really hard to bond and share interests. Being the youngest of the of the two means I grew up with different things that my brother never had. Pokemon is for everyone no matter how old you are or what gender, it allows you to connect with the out doors and in hanse your adventurous side. It also brought me and my brother closer together. Creds to the Pokemon go creators for making Pokemon safe over the current circumstances and for all of the amazing Community days! Also if there’s bad weather (like a storm etc) when you open the app it gives you a warning telling you to try and stay indoors and be careful which most apps don’t have.
WARNING
This app makes you very competitive as me and my brother would see who could get the most shines(they are a Pokémon in a different colour e.g a shiny Pikachu is a dark yellow/ orange). Be prepared to get a text at midnight from a friend saying they got a shiny !
Overall it is a great app and would 100% recommend it

BEST GAME EVER!
I’m 12 and I have played this game for over 3 years and this game introduced me into a whole new world called Pokémon. Before this game, I didn’t know what or had heard of Pokémon and I can say that I have enjoyed this game so far. The increased amount of events and special research and the increasing amount of shiny Pokémon in and soon coming to Pokémon GO and how it can connect to a main series game to get a special Pokémon from it is amazing. GO Fest is an amazing event as well and I personally think it should always be worldwide to give all players access to the event Pokémon no matter where they live. It also encourages me to go outside and walk around which isn’t like me as most of the time I’m not outside but just inside my house. Battle League and the graphics changing over the years is incredible. How such a small game could reach massive heights is amazing. Sadly less people are playing it but I think with some of these events that they dish out monthly could increase their player count and give them more financial results.
Anyway super fun game.

Pokecoins not added and not refunded
After playing for over three years I recently had a very negative experience with Niantic/apple.
Due to the upcoming community day, I wanted to add funds to my pogo account.
The procedure went normal and I had to press the button that if I don’t reclaim within 2 weeks, purchase cannot be refunded. Despite purchase went though and I received the confirmation mail by apple some moments later, there was an error message within the app after the purchase.
I ended up without coins in my account but a receipt of 100£. Due to apple policies I cannot get a refund. Niantic cannot confirm the purchase as it is not in their system due to the error message. Therefore, I had very poor customer support as Apple just recommended to contact the app developer and Niantic suggested to reach out to Apple for a refund. Both companies refused to reach out to the other company and to solve the problem despite I could provide both companies with proof of payment on my credit card.
Therefore, I am very angry and disappointed from both companies - currently thinking of stopping to play! Hope there will still be a solution.

THIS GAME IS MY LIFE!!!
Pokemon GO is an amazing opportunity to have fantasy dreams become a reality the weather is on point and the graphics are excellent the variety of Pokemon’s are unreal there is so many Pokémon I have been playing Pokemon GO Fore 3 hearts and I’m still finding new Pokemon every day! The items aren’t expensive and even if u don’t have out door data you can buy a sense which lures in Pokemon of many types with a variety of levels and sounds and they with come straight to you I really recommend this game as you can see the reviews are exactly how they should be and most people have put a five star rating so that shows how excellent this game is also it’s for free a game like this for free if you haven’t downloaded this game yet I would now and for one second actually appreciate the fact this game is for free this game has gotten so far and super popular nearly everyone has this game well I’d expect so I give this a five out of five star ratings hope this review helps I spent a lot of effort and time to write as you can see thank you to natanic! Inconsistent and unequal
At first I would have given a 4* rating, however now I begrudgingly rate it a 1*. Disproportionately to my spend on for example egg hatches; my total of 4244 vs partners 1640, have not yielded many quality or shiny Pokémon. When it comes to catch or special events counts it’s much the same. So out of frustration and a feeling of falling behind you spend some more....and some more... without results. Then there’s the unsporting cheaters that spoof and/or have multiple accounts... reporting them doesn’t seem to bring results, not only do they do better, they do better on their multiple accounts. There’s also been some really inappropriate individuals miss using the game as a bullying platform, who seem to do so for many months before they’re either stopped or move on to targeting someone else. Which makes both the game and enjoyment inconsistent. Furthermore, if you own the newer iPhone the PogoPlus doesn’t work, and if like myself (an invested level 40 player) you where forced to upgrade to a newer phone as Niantic no longer supported the old phones software, you may be forgiven for feeling cheated!
