Has stopped reading correctly

Over the past few days, I am unable to get a reading without either full loss of signal strength?? Or part loss despite doing the same as I’ve always done, on the same phone and I’ve followed troubleshooting steps. Is this due to bugs or the new Apple iOs update? This app was great but I’ve cancelled my subscription.

Stated as being for iPad but it isn’t.

Downloaded this having seen an ad in a digital newspaper. The ad said you put your finger over the camera to get a reading. The App Store says iPad compatible. In fact, you need a camera with flash. Doesn’t work therefore on an iPad. Usually when you read “phone” in the App Store it means for iPad as well but not here. Star rating isn’t appropriate, really, as cannot use, but saying “not for iPad” would save a lot of time. I have to delete the app now.

Too often doesn't work

It fails to work too frequently, claiming to have a weak signal. I would say it failed more times than it didn't. Also, they bombard you with messages and reminders even when you have all notifications turned off.

Reassuring little app

I used FibriCheck on my cardiologist advice for over 2 years - always reassured by results and able to show them at clinic appointments. I continued with the app a year after discharge from hospital. I cancelled subscription 3 months ago thinking it was a way to save a few £.

A few iffy heart beats over Christmas and no back up app made me a little anxious - so, I have returned and am reassured again. Thank you.

Paid subscription - app didn’t give me one reading

I downloaded this app on the understanding that the first 3 days are free, then subscription is £5.99

The app immediately took my money yet says I have no matching account so can’t offer me the reading of my heart rhythm. So basically, I have paid £5.99 for absolutely nothing except a raised heart rate.

I don’t have enough money to be robbed like this and have never used such an inefficient app, never paid £5.99 for nothing more than irritation, maybe this is how they make their money 😡

No Flash Support

I’ve just downloaded this on the recommendation of my GP but when I go to sign up and use the app it comes back with “you don’t have Flash support”. Adobe hasn’t developed or supported flash for IOS for years?

Unable access due to so many passwords etc etc this far too complicated for me as a tech oldie. Gave up. And deleted it. It would have helped if on signing up and choosing a password it was auto saved to my iPhone passwords. Should advise the need for pen n paper to write down everything when input so much info passwords and numbers etc

Hard to cancel trial

I wanted to try the free trial for a few days. However, it’s difficult to cancel the trial. I kept getting the same error message so eventually had to go via the iTunes subscription management page, as opposed to the “Unsubscribe” button in the email. You also have to cancel the trial at least a day prior to the automatic renewal date. It’s a nice app though - I just don’t want to pay this much. Thanks

False advertising

I dl this app after experiencing my heart jolting, I took up the free 3 day trial & it showed I was suffering ectopic beats. After subscribing so I could keep an eye on it I found that the reports where health professionals supposedly look at your reading & tell you what they find actually is an extra charge of £20 per reading! Absolutely absurd!!!! I did not resubscribe & got a refund from Apple.

Btw you can unsubscribe on an iPhone in the App Store-account (right corner)-Subscriptions. Hope this helps anyone having problems.

Excellent and may have saved my life!!

I was able to share evidence of intermittent heart irregularities captured by this app, which hadn’t previously been picked up by one-off ECGs, with my medical advisor - which led directly to more intensive investigation by the NHS and subsequent diagnosis of and treatment for AF. Well worth the modest monthly cost. Thank you.

They do not say that a (significant) subscription is required until you have entered details. You have to give permission for medics to check your data, which makes me wonder what the app actually does.

Maybe the app works wonderfully but I didn’t get to find out.

Don’t waste your time unless you are really concerned about fibrillation, in which case you’re probably better seeing your physician.

Tip for cold hands!

For anyone struggling with (and/or stressing about) getting an “insufficient signal quality” notice during certain periods of time, where changes in position/pressure/etc don’t solve the problem: I’ve finally figured out that it happens when my hands are too cold! (Not uncommon for people with circulation issues, even when indoors/in moderate temperatures). Try putting your hands under warm water for a few minutes first. Other than that, does what it says on the tin and generally easy to use.

Piece of mind

Having had persistent AF, I heard about this app and was aware of monthly subscription.

After having treatment and returned to normal rhythm this app gives me piece of mind. Yes £5.99 a month seems a lot but much cheaper than an Apple Watch and I can do a quick check anytime I’m worried.

No prior indication of fee charges

I downloaded this app and entered my personal details then read the terms and conditions which include the fact that there is a subscription fee to be paid. Not shown as having a cost attached in the Apple App Store!!!

Even in the terms and conditions there is no indication of the cost or length of time this is for only a note saying it cannot be cancelled even in the first 14 days!

Why would anyone sign up for something when you have no idea how much it is going to cost or how long you have to pay for?

I have AF and I use this to keep record to show my cardiologist it is great for me to keep track of my symptoms and store them for my cardiologist.

It is very accurate.

Amazed

I have to say I was disturbed that my mum who has just had a pacemaker fitted was relying on me to. Undertake this . I have no medical experience and not very good when it comes to applications on a smart phone . I just use what I need . My mum is 83 year old and I look after their medication needs and hospital appointments . I was a bit put out when I was contacted by the nurse to undertake this task before her virtual consultation . However what an App ! I was blown away. So simple and easy to use . Well done. Even though understand like my mum not every one is technology minded but as her daughter I feel I am also in control as I see the results of the report within 10 mins meaning I can see what affects her heart rate and then have the questions for the consultant . Great work . Blood pressure one would be good as well.

Idea is good but way too expensive considering that probably single cardiologists sits somewhere in India/Far East ...etc and reads the graphs for £10 a pop. Exploitation of peoples fear. Price should be 0.50 per reading which should give enough money considering thousands would use. GREEEEEDY

Do not be conned into giving away your data

This is NOT free. They will ask you for all your personal information (name, email, Don, country). Then you will need to give permissions for reading your health data, movement and your location. They you will need to verify email. As soon as you think you are there ready to test the app, a payment screen will be presented.

If you want to charge for the app, be upfront about it, before you collect personal information. Deleted and removed.

Hidden cost

As a diagnosed AF sufferer I’m Disgusted by the stealthily way my data has been acquired before any transparency of cost/subscription/payment. I actually believe this in breach of the apple store terms hiding the cost and requirement for payment behind agreements for terms. Payments which you of course have to do outside of the app on a separate site.
