Useless and charges for calls unconnected
I topped up £10 when I started using mytello Christmas Eve, and I have only managed to make 3 phone calls 3 that actually connected to my family. After this calls I have not been able to connect my calls as there’s a weird AI voice cutting into the call with a “ello ello” yet I am being charged. I have topped up £10 again and I still can’t get through past the AI voice. I would like my refund as I am not getting the benefit from this app

Just discovered this app as in Sri Lanka and my phone company want to charge me £5 a day despite me being in ‘an at home’ country at £5 a day!

Extremely poor quality
Extremely disappointed at the poor quality of calls and a expensive rate for a local call. I have already deposited £5 and I will never use this service again as it does not connect and when it worked once it disconnected mid call. Even though the internet is excellent it still disconnected. Never using again.

Keypad doesn’t work
Spent £5 to call my travel insurance company and it called but when it came to the keypad to select an option it did not work. I was therefore unable to call my travel insurance emergency line.

Really Useful App!
I’m temporarily in the States and I have found this app to be so useful! I can make phone calls to US landlines and non-iOS devices without accruing any roaming charges. Its UI is very clean and unfussy, and it already recognises the nationalities of numbers in my contacts. It’s made life so much easier for the few weeks that I’m here. I only gave it four stars because there were one or two occasions when the line wasn’t clear and I couldn’t be sure why. If not for that I’d give it a straight 5!

This is the first time I use Mytello. The listening tones is clear but sometimes is “jerk”. Overall is good. The “jerk may be due to internal connections or other reason. First time using and the process was easy. I got caught out with my uk provider o2 who charged me £30 for a 9 minute call. As I don’t need to call Australia often I wanted a service which didn’t require a monthly plan and where credit never expires. I found it and can now feel safe dialling overseas anytime.

Waste of money
Doesn’t work abroad if you’ve got UK number, struggle to connect to the internet and you can’t call without it. Some numbers converted to a different number and not the person you wanted to call. I would avoid at any cost.

Your balance is insufficient
I have gbp 6 on my phone and yet I am played this message all the time when trying to call. I have added another £5 and though my credit card tells me the money has been charged I am still receiving the same message.

Promised 1p per minute to Bulgaria land line, but is actually more than 10p a minute. 2p for test call last 2 minutes, but once you buy a credit, 10p +. Send email, still waiting for an answer.
