Curiously I enjoyed the free trial so much that I signed up for the paid version but as soon as I did that it started buffering and cutting out left right and centre. Such a shame as I was finding the app very helpful

Just not worth the money
First up. Trying to use the in-app feedback option simply does not work because it's like using iOS 4 and you cannot remove the keyboard out of the way to be able to press the send button. Some of us like the iPhone SE instead of these silly phablets.
Next. The cost is so unbelievablely high. I already have apple music which already includes lots of binaural music at higher quality and available across all of my devices. Maybe is your don't have a music subscription it might be worth it.

Good app, terrible customer service
The audio does what it says. However, I’ve tried writing to customer support several times with questions about my subscription and finally with a request to cancel it — with no response after more than a month. There’s no way to cancel it on their website, either. I can’t tell if it’s questionable business practice or just plain incompetence, but either way, I suggest staying away from brain.fm.

This helps me concentrate!
I love this app because it really helps me concentrate! It only gets four stars though because it’s a bit glitchy. It hangs between tracks sometimes and you have to go in and reselect what you want. It’s not a huge issue, just a bit annoying when you’ve paid for the extended library of tracks.

What an incredible app
I’ve tried a couple of alike apps but Brain Fm is the best by far! It helps me to do use more during the heavy loads of work and study. When it’s time to relax it just does an amazing job. It’s just a different breed of sound engendering.
It does wonders go try yourself :)

Great but missing a student discount
As a student I can’t always afford to have a subscription with brain.fm but when I do I absolutely love how it helps me get into super focused stage right from the start! I also use sleep mode frequently - although I struggle with waking up at night sometimes it has never happened while I was using this option. I’m also a huge fan of choosing your theme, like electronic, rain etc. Overall really great but could be improved by giving discounts for people who sometimes have to survive on bread and butter for a week😅

The ‘focus’ sessions are, simply put, incredible for the office! Couple with noise cancelling headphones and productivity goes through the roof!

Wow
Does everything it says it will. I've got some lightweight headphones linked to my iPad with a Tao Tronics Bluetooth receiver (also brilliant bit of kit btw) and definitely wake up feeling much more rested than I used to. Seems to work well in 'focus' mode too, but definitely great in sleep mode.

What an excellent Application
I am really doing some valuable, constructive work with this application. My productivity has increased exponentially and I am also able to build upon my visualisation and focus skills. I have been working on my meditative work and have achieved some improvements to my insight meditation skills.
All in all, I have benefitted immeasurably with this application.

Amazing!
Absolutely love this app. The best thing I can say is that it actually works! I’ve only used focus and sleep so far, but amazed and so pleased at the results. I hope they bring out new things such as moods. Maybe even combine them so you can have ‘sleep/happy’ and wake up smiling!

Amazing app, terrible customer services and support
The app works and does it’s job perfectly. But make sure that you update your card in time before it expires, or do by yourself anything that would require customer support because the website is terribly designed, the staff doesn’t reply within reasonable time (weeks) neither on Facebook nor by email nor through the website.
I love the app, but I was forced to create a new account with an email I don’t really use for anything but this app because it was too hard for them to reply to my emails. My card could not be updated and I couldn’t change my payment options online without the website crashing. Not ideal. The music does wonders though!

Great focus app for work
This is an amazing focus app - really works. I’d like the chance to see what the track is playing and choose from tracks - but otherwise it’s really good. If you’re a student or writer you’ll love this for aiding focus.

Good to focus
Since I started using it, I noticed that I'm able to better focus at work.
In the Explore mode I don't use all the variants for Focus, I tend to go back to thunder, rain, wind or relaxed most of the time. Would be great to have more variants.

Really good app
Have mostly used Nap and focus modes and found them to really work.
Having different options of music in each section is really good.
Wit have regards to focus mode, I have found previously that simply listening to dance music (with no vocals) has a similar impact, but it doesn't detract from the fact that this app does what it says for me.

Waste of time and money
I don't write reviews in general but feel compelled to write one in this instance. I downloaded app and subscribed after hearing good things in the British Airways highlife magazine. As a frequent flyer I would try anything to sleep better in the air. After using on a long haul flight I can report it did not aid relaxation or sleep. If anything it just irritated me to the point I switched it off. Subscription cancelled after landing.

I can't play the offline stuff which means I can't use it on a plane. I can't stop the renewal of my monthly plan from the settings tab which is where I am supposed to manage my subscription from. Feel robbed

Amazing app
I have never felt the need to purchase an app before but this one is the business.
My productivity has increased dramatically when I use the Focus sessions and when needed to switch off at the end of the day the relax and meditation sessions are incredible.
Highly recommended. 10 stars.

Actually very good
I was sceptical about this at first but it's really very good. The sleep one didn't help me much as it woke me up at 2am with some odd sound patterns but the focus, relax and meditation ones are excellent.

It really helps
I've been a user of brain.fm now for months. And after reading the book "Deep work" I've come back to it again with a better understanding of why it works.
In open offices we're so prone to distraction, alongside things like Twitter and Slack it's hard to really focus.
I've found with brain.fm plugging in headphones and setting it for a hour. I can really shut down and focus. It helps me to avoid the urge to get distracted.
(Which is ironically what I'm doing now by writing this review 😁)
But really love it. Great work team. Simple and effective.

Offline mode makes this indispensable!
I've been using Brain.fm via Safari for months but the iPhone app was a welcome addition. I particularly love the option of downloading tracks to use when offline. I use the Focus mode when I'm writing and it's simply brilliant!

The mind beyond - brilliant
I am a bit sceptical when it comes to reviews but on this I would say try it for yourself and you decide.
It has a free trial period it won't cost you to try. I have decided to become a life member. It has helped me with insomnia through sleep waves, career development by focus waves to learn and skill myself up. Each morning I am more happier and start the day stress free with the guided meditation wave. This is one of those things which you can't explain how it works but all you know it does!!!
Regret taking the mick out of my mate who told me to try this.

Bought a lifetime subscription on a whim last year when it was heavily discounted.
The water or forest sleep sounds are the best. It's an interesting concept and I'm happy to support the creators.

Needs a subscription btw
I'm a Brain.fm subscriber and this app is a welcome addition to its excellent web-based service. Just thought some users might not realise it needs a subscription. It's worth it though – I find the soundtracks really do aid concentration for deep periods of focused work.
