Great game, no sound?
A much loved classic, disappointed that the sound isn’t working (2020 iPad). Checked volume both physically on iPad and in RCT settings, restarted iPad, other apps work fine. Seeking a refund as just isn’t the same without sound, I’ll try again in a month.

Just like the old days!
From PC/Win we once had it on and played through now take it in our palm hands for nostalgia vibes. It’s the best for those who wanna play it and make some sick rides or to make people sick (haha).

Locked scenarios
Hi game is amazing but how do I unlock locked scenarios in a new theme ? I have completed all in ruby group but cannot unlock the sapphire one

As good as the classic PC version
I was a massive fan of RC2 on the PC and this is just as good although I wish it were easier to get custom designs from other users. Occasionally a little fiddly but otherwise great fun and thank god there are no in app purchases or any of that other nonsense that plagues apps nowadays. Highly recommended.

A Classic
Absolutely loved playing this game, always love going back to it throughout the years. So thrilled this moved over to mobile.
Finished it far to quickly! Please release more levels soon 🙏🏻 Maybe the Six Flags levels from the original games.

Love this game! But…
I love playing this - so many memories. I do wish it was available on Mac OS though, rather than just iPhone, it can be a bit finnecky building coasters on a phone screen. But it is fun playing it on the go!

Amazing game but one big audio bug on iOS
Great game but please fix audio issue. Wherever I leave game, if only for a sec like going to Home Screen or even just opening notifications, the in-game audio stops and won’t resume until the app is restarted :(

Lost my wife to this game
I downloaded this classic to play with a mouse on my iPad and I had I think I did 2 or 3 builds before my wife took over and did the rest. She’s addicted to it as she played it so much as a kid. Great adaption and plays identical to the PC version

Classic RCT: iPhone XS
What a fantastic find! It’s taken me back to my WinXP days. The graphics are classic RCT and the game play is very simple with no ‘in-app purchases’. Perfect.
I would recommend this game for some nostalgia and simple game play. Thanks for getting this onto the App Store.
Please can we have TransportTycoon Deluxe next??
Buttons: They do occasionally move off the screen but it does not detracted from my game play. The keyboard can be closed by pressing the return button.

Amazing
Great to have a pretty much like for like version of the original PC game without timers, gems and loads of micro transactions. It does however need a little final polish - I frequently accidentally swipe down notifications/app switcher (most other games require a double swipe for these) and am unable to see text entered with the on screen keyboard as it falls off the top of the screen.

Doesn’t work anymore don’t buy
This game hasn’t been updated and doesn’t work on new iPhones due to buttons being out of the touchscreen area.
Used to be my favourite game but is now unplayable. Atari have abandoned it. Extremely disappointing.

Takes me back!
Great to play these games again. It’s a bit weird seeing some peoples reviews for extra features and things- I guess these people don’t know that it’s an old game that’s been given new life and devs aren’t just going to go ahead and change the game!
Anyway one issue so far- it doesn’t seem to sync to the cloud. I wanted to pick up an ongoing scenario started on my iPhone on my iPad but it doesn’t show. Both signed into the same game accounts and both set to allow iCloud sync. Just not showing up on my iPad. :-/

Decent game, but needs lots of QoL updates
Does not work properly on iphone 11, the interfaces stretches beyond the are where you are able to tap stuff, interface is way too small. It’s sort of playable l, but very frustrating. Avoid this game if your phone has the camera nudge at the top

Works and runs well but annoying on non home button iPhones.
Yeah works perfectly, I haven’t run into any problems so far. But some of the buttons are difficult to consistently press if you’re on a iPhone X, XR, XS, 11, 12, 13 or 14. So most people’s phones.

Love it! Anyone who thinks this game is bad it totally wrong. You should add it. You can build your own theme park! So cool! You can see what guests are thinking and where the quests are. For me the game doesn’t glitch. You can also design your own rollercoaster. You can add scenery to your park, you can choose what kind of path you want AND you can create loads of different kinds of worlds such as as: an old factory, a beach theme park, a mountain, and loads more. Love it no complaints best game! Should make it 5/5 stars on App Store defo.

Played this as a kid! I am so happy this exists both on mobile and m1 macs. Not many out there making classics available! This is probably the best thing that exists on mobile. Just shows that reviving classics is possible. I would pay more for this!!

A few ideas
It’s a great game and I have a few ideas to add to the main game. I think that there could be shops which you could choose what they sold and restaurants where the guests could stay in for a bit and cost more. There could be a parade which you could hire parade workers, the parade would go around the park and would increase the happiness of the guests. Theatres could be a interesting addition as they could be stunt acts or just a simple gentle play. Kids could be smaller and come with a parent/guardian and the child would pay less to eat, go on rides and get into the park. Photo shoots would have one entertainer and take pictures with the guests after they do the photo shoot they can pay for there photos. Finally there could be a fast pass queue which they would pay to use but would let them get on the rides quicker.

Unable to play the game
Unable to press any button in the corners of the screen. Cannot pause or unpause the game and therefore cannot get past 2minutes of gameplay.

Needs Updating
This obviously hasn’t been updated in a long time. It doesnt fit the screen properly on my iphone 13, prompts and windows are sometimes impossible to close because you can’t see the X, graphics are poorly optimised and almost impossible to see on modern devices. It’s a great port of the original games but for £4.99, you should just buy the PC version on amazon.

Probably one of the best scenario games ever written is back!
Rollercoaster tycoon ranked with sim city and the sims for playing back in the 80’s and 90’s and how great to be able to play what is effectively the original game. Do not expect this game to be easy as it is old. You have to balance finances with fun and designing a good rollercoaster that doesn’t make people throw up or run away in horror is hard!
I agree that having the sandbox back would be fun.

Nice but needs optimisation
Great that it’s the superior classic game, but I’m quite surprised the developers haven’t optimised any of the buttons for all screen iPhone models. Thankfully I have an old iPhone 8 to play it on which works ok, but the on screen controls need to be made bigger. Nice but a frustrating experience, shame.

Please update this for new iPads and iOS 15!
RCT is a great game. But updates to iOS and lack of native support for new style iPads (iPad Air, Mini and Pro’s) make it frustrating to play. The game doesn’t support external keyboards, the full screen of newer iPad models and freezes if notifications come in during play.

Display does not work anymore, blurry
Oh I miss the old rollercoaster tycoon classic. I even miss the old rollercoaster tycoon classic for iPhone. Since updating to iPhone 12 I’ve been unable to play this and found articles where other people are having the same problem with no fix. Literally cannot make out a single ride unless zoomed in, zoomed out blurs all the pixels. Tried playing regardless but got a migraine after a minute. Heart broken. Do not recommend unless you have a small iPhone 8 or older, not worth purchasing (play your old one on your windows 98)

Fantastic really nostalgic
I’ve always loved this game, The app version is very true to the original 95 game. It has the same bad graphics and game play is exactly as I remember it. The only thing that bugs me is that you can’t charge entrance fee, you could on the original and it helped bring in revenue 😂. This game should come with a warning though as it’s highly addictive. Thank you for letting me reminisce in my favourite childhood game

Resolution issue
The game becomes extremely pixelated when zoomed out. This is an issue I’ve seen multiple people with and it’s not been fixed. 1 star until the issue is fixed.

The app works really well on older iPhones, however on newer models with the notch the in game windows open too close to the top of the phone to move or close them due the X disappearing under the guest button meaning the coaster builder etc can’t be used

Excellent Value
I’ve spent days chipping away at this game and I still have multiple scenarios to delve into. It’s a touch dated now but the game still holds up incredibly well, especially when compared to the modern RCT pay as you go title. Overall, it’s great to replay and easily worth the fiver to purchase.
Note - I did have some minor issues since switching from iPhone XR to 12 - some content boxes become stuck behind other areas of the screen. That said, it’s relatively easy to bypass

My favourite game in the App Store
I love this game. I loved it many years ago on the pc and I love it now on the iPad. No faults with this at all. Once you pay for the game, that’s it - apart from a couple of optional expansion packs, this isn’t pay to win at all. A ton on maps and objectives to choose from

Does not load
What I first downloaded this app I was excited to play as I used to play the original on my computer. Needless to say, I was thoroughly disappointed when it did not load. I tried closing all my apps in the background. Nothing. I tried restarting my device. Still nothing. For me personally, this is a big issue as I did not get the rush of nostalgia that I needed. It would be extremely appreciated if you were to fix this (to your best ability). Thank you for taking the time to read this, it honestly means a lot to me 😊

Great version
A great version of the pc game, brings back many memories ! Easy to use. Have spent hours on this game so far and really love it , the only single thing I think it is lacking is being able to start a big empty park. I’m really bored of working my way through the different maps trying to unlock a big enough park to just start a fresh with and keep as my own! I like the idea of having the levels and working your way through them but would also like to have “my park” to go back on to. Instead of trying to hit targets all the time I liked that on the pc you could just get at it with your creativity which is only worth while on a park you are planning to keep!

Just upgraded to the iPhone 12 Pro. Game plays fine on it, but when constructing a coaster, the construction window pops up behind the icons on the top-left of the screen, making it impossible to move or close that window to test or open the ride.

My most favourite game on the App Store it’s so addicting and I love the old school graphics it might take a while to get see to but it’s completely worth every penny. PLEASE NOTE that this game might not be for everyone as I am a creative person who loves sandbox styled games if you like challenging games this is not the one for you

Great Game But
This is a great game and brings back memory's of when i use to play it years ago and i would have gave it 5 stars but there is a bug that i have seen others mention on here that when you demolish some rides the ride does not vanish fully there are still parts of the ride left on the screen with no way of getting rid of them, would be great if there could be an update to fix this bug as it ruins the game but apart from that it's enjoyable.

Was really happy to see this game was made on iOS having grown up as a kid playing this on pc. I would recommend people play on their phone and also try it on an iPad for an even better experience. Hours of fun for such a low price. Thankyou!!!! Best iPhone game I have played

Very fun, addictive game!
I love this game, takes me back to the original for pc. Works on the iPhone XR a treat (ish) the new iPhone design with the black camera insert can sometimes get in the way. The other thing is the in app purchases have stopped working. The App Store takes the money but doesn’t install the purchase. The toolkit and other packs would have been great to have :( I can’t take stars for that because it’s Still a fantastic game with all the levels of original RCT2 very fun to play!

Needs urgent fixing
I was delighted to be able to play this again and on my iPad, having grown up with this game being an all-time favourite. There is a bug, however, that needs fixing urgently. I’ve seen reviewers complaining of it over a year ago and in April 2020 the problem of deleting/demolishing a ride and not all of the ride disappearing is still there. It hasn’t been fixed and has made the game frustrating and over-priced for one that does not work as it should. Please fix and my review will improve - before this happened, I was in RCT heaven.

Amazing port!
RCT2 is one of my favourite games of all time and I’m SO glad this port exists, seeing as most PC versions can’t save without crashing.
Can’t imagine it’s much fun on a phone but on an iPad it’s excellent, would definitely recommend to any tycoon fans.
I’ve seen a few reviews complaining about some of the features, such as rotating using the buttons in the top right.
Originally, the game had a single rotate button, so if you wanted to rotate in the wrong direction you’d have to press it three times.
Little features like that and the game speed up are great updates to this excellent game.
A few of the controls feel a bit clunky, like the place worker or pre-made rollercoaster, but it’s not bad enough to make the game lose a star imo.

Don’t buy if you have an iPhone X or later
Great game, originally bought this when I had an iPhone 8, loved it.
However when I upgraded my phone I realised the app display doesn’t take into account that I’m playing on an 11 and parts of the screen are cut off.
Considering that the X and 11 model types of phone have been out now for a couple years and this hasn’t been updated, it doesn’t seem like this is something that is a priority for the developers to fix.

Expensive but no annoying hard sells
Worth the extra to not get the limitations and annoying hard sells for ‘lives’ or ‘coins’ like in other games.
Needs some development for screen size on iPhone X as it cuts a little bit off the edges. Making it awkward to move menus when at the top of the screen because it pulls down Notification Center.
Perfect version from what I remember on the PC, I love this game.

Amazing game but buggy
I am a huge fan of the RCT series and have played for years on my PC, so pleased to finally be able to play on the go!
For months it has been amazing but as of recent the game keeps crashing and won’t even let me play for more that 30 seconds, please fix!!
Update; game crashes appear to have been fixed however this game needs optimisation for the iPhone XR as the screen is cropped out and makes gameplay challenging.

Brilliant
Just like the old classic time when I was a kid. Ok it’s smaller on the phone screen and somethings can be hard to press but you get used to is really quickly. Everything that I had on the pc when a kid is now back on the phone. Developers have done a great job. Well well well worth the price !

I'm playing on an ipad and I couldn't be more pleased with this game which I remember so fondly from the pc. There are 100 scenarios to complete and each one is a delight. I only wish more pc games were available as it so refreshing to play a game that you don't have to keep paying for. My thanks to Chris Sawyer for his wonderful game, the original and the best.

Superb - best game ever played on mobile
Cannot rate this highly enough
Additive, fun; a great throwback to much fun in my younger years.
It is quite small on a iPhone 6s, but I got used to it after a while. It’s a bit fiddly in places, but you get you used to it very quickly with a learning curve. This would be epic on iPad especially.
It has elements of rct1 and rct2. The reviewer who said you are forced in pay to enter parks only simply hasn’t tested the game properly- it varies by level - some are free entry, some you choose entry price.
Lots of the bugs mentioned in early reviews didn’t exist for me at all. Sometimes the sound goes but I simply save and reload the app. Seems to be due to interactions with another app. Can’t believe this doesn’t have a higher rating - easily 5 star.
So satisfying to not have pay to play nonsense and constant adds. This is easily worth the price charged and more. I’ve already enjoyed many hours playing it.
Notes on things not obvious to me
1) On pause - check out the options menu because you can make things disssapear to make building easier in complex parks.
Developers - shame is disappears once you build but o well....
2) raising on lowering ground - two square white button increase or decrease area
3) buy more land from the “front gate” menu

Love it!
So totally great to play this game again, however....I totally agree with many other reviews, I would happily pay a bit more for a sandbox mode, with a huge, flat and green area to play with. It would be so brill to be able to build rides and coasters and watch the result. Without a park goal, with no breakdowns, no vandalism, no litter and most of all... no flippin’ bilious peeps!! 🤢
If devs gave us at least one option of that choice, I would be straight back here to give 5 stars.

Needs iPhone X Update
Been playing this for a long while and have loved it! Upgraded to iPhone 10 and the game is now a complete headache to play. The resolution is completely out causing menus and things to go beyond the screen making some tabs unusable.
From a game I highly recommended to now a game to avoid if you have an iPhone 10. Until Atari updates this, it’s useless.

Frustrating to Play!
This game is fun for a couple of hours but after that, the flaws are so frustrating, its difficult to play. Firstly, you can’t fully rotate around the map, you have to use directional keys at the top right of the screen that move you 90 degrees - this is annoying when you’re trying to build queues or footpaths and you can’t see where you’re supposed to be building. Secondly, some of the prefab coasters have ride entrances and exits in ridiculous places, so the track covers the entrance meaning you cannot build a queue. I enjoy the authenticity but this has made the game unplayable. I only got to the second park and then gave up because I was getting so annoyed I was wasting my money on rides I couldn’t open because it was impossible to build a queue. Also, if you delete a coaster that has scenery, you can’t delete all this scenery with it. You can’t interact with it in any way but you can’t build over it either. I’m really sad because I wanted this game to take me back to childhood but all its done is raise my blood pressure!

As a lover of the PC games, I was skeptical purchasing this wondering how the controls etc would work on a mobile but it’s still just as enjoyable! Still get the same experience as you do on the PC with very few missing features, awesome job!

Falls short of RCT2 - no custom scenario
I remember playing RCT2 for thousands of hours as a kid (and immature adult) and one of the greatest attributes of the game was the ability to set up your own scenario. It gave you the ability to start on your own terms, including giving yourself a bit of a head start with the terrain, bankroll and how much land you own at the outset. This meant you were able to continue long after the initial scenario had been completed and genuinely run your theme park and max out all of the land and ride potential. Whilst I have taken a trip down memory lane with RCT classic, I am disappointed the custom scenario option is not designed in as it was for RCT2. If the app developers do read the reviews, please, please, please can you include a custom scenario for all of us ‘in for the long haul’ Tycoons.

Wonderful game, now having issues
Great game! I was really enjoying it until it kept freezing on start up. As the “upload to iCloud” button was checked I thought it was safe to reinstall. I was wrong! Lost all of my progress and now quite annoyed. Tried to contact app support but the page won’t even open. Such a shame guys!

This is such a faithful port of the Original epic game that is RCT!! It feels so good with great Touch Controls. I don’t have any struggles controlling the game. A MUST BUY for Tycoon game lovers!! I am looking into maybe buying the Tools Editor to allow me to play my old maps from RCT Classic on Steam! A bit steep for another price but hey if it is good then it’s worth it! 🙌🏻❤️🎢🎡

Needs iPhone X update
Played this game for almost a year on my old iPhone 5s. The game is perfect and I can’t bring myself to give it any less than 4 stars, but since switching to iPhone X the game does not fit the screen properly and the front facing camera cuts part of the game off. All that is in need is an update for the iPhone X so that the game fits the screen. At the moment the edge of the game is cut off as if the screen was too small, it’s ruined a great game for me.

Great but...
The game is great and brings back fond memories. However, there is a catch.. There’s no sandbox mode included, only scenarios and there is no option to pause the game whilst your building your coasters. This basically means you’ll fail every scenario as you’ll spend the whole time designing your rides without being able to pause. They’ve conveniently added an in app purchase for a ‘toolkit’ which is an additional £5.99 which lets you design rides in a sandbox mode. Good game, but a bit misleading..

Best RCT game yet.
Based on the first two titles of the Rollercoaster Tycoon series, this game will keep you going for months with its HUGE range of levels.
If you played the game when it first came out, RCT Classic will undoubtedly bring back many fond memories of the game.
If I was to recommend one thing, it would be that the Construction add on pack should have been included with the game purchase, but other than that, the game is flawless. Well done, Atari!

Great game
At long last a game I don’t mind paying for as you don’t get the wait 24h or buy tokens for something to build, you have the classic game that you love from your pc says rollercoaster tycoon 2, so why not 5 stars? While the add on packs for the game on the surface appear well priced the main one people would want the tool kit costs the same as main game! He other reason it isn’t 5 stars is because you can’t transfer game save between devices sort that one out and you have a 5 star game!

Back to basics finally..now build on this
After the terrible direction that this series had gone with the unplayable rollercoaster tycoon world and previous mobile titles that we shameless cash grabs, Atayri have listen to the fans and gone back to the roots of RCT. Chris sawyer’s master pieces from the early series are reworked into this competent port with some mirror game play improvements, such as shop auto orientating to path ways. The game works well on a touch device. Hopefully they will build on this and next make a modern game in a similar style to this, for the continued success of the series.

Everything I’ve wanted from a game!
This has to be the best game I’ve ever bought on iPad. The fact it throws me back to my childhood without the annoying pop ups or having to wait days to build something is great! Pay once and play to your hearts content. What would be even better is if these guys created theme hospital another classic game from my childhood!

Why no sound?! And can’t change entry ticket price?
Everything great and amazing but the no sound part is driving me a bit nuts. I’ve ensured the boxes are ticked for sound under options. Would also be nice to be able to charge for entry tickets or is that only in later stages of the game?... Help please!!!!!

Needs a few minor tweaks for a 5⭐️ experience, mostly for the scenario editor. This is stable, fun and challenging.
Scenario editor: note to devs, have you actually tried to select a full size map and then used a phone to tediously select the entire area to mark it as park owned land? If so which one of you thought that was Ok?

Scenario Creator issue
The scenario creator tool is really good and easy to use but I think one small thing they could change is the grid size when putting pieces of land into different categories. The grid I believe only goes up to 10x10, and when you want to develop quite a large map to base the theme park on, it does take quite a long time to select the entire park. Making the selecting grid maximum area larger would help make the development of scenarios ultimately less time consuming, but overall I think it’s only a small issue and it doesn’t change my view on this legendary game franchise.

Magic!
I’m two thirds of the way through the scenarios now. This is an unbelievable throwback to my youth and it contains some very subtle enhancements - the touch screen port is simply impeccable, and actually simplifies some of the more onerous gameplay elements of the original.
There are a couple of outstanding bugs - the ride builder sometimes refuses to change height or rotate, and it’s not clear that some functions (such as adjust land) disable others. There are some very small niggles, which I think have been fixed.
None of these can take away from a thoroughly enjoyable and technically outstanding port of a genuine classic. Those involved and the legendary Chris Sawyer should be incredibly pleased with this.

If you have ever played the original RCT it’s basically the same! So good not to have to pay of anything once you have brought the game too! I think the next step for them is to release the zoo and splash expansion of the game. Then I don’t think I could put my ipad down !

90% there
This is one of the best things to happen to the App Store - RTC in all its glory and as other people have said, no pestering ads or nagging to pay for addons. There are tons of different maps to play (30+?) so you don’t get bored. But to be honest, I would love to have a sandbox mode INCLUDED (for no extra cost!) where I can play a park endlessly and see what can be done with no budget and access to all rides. After all, sometimes you just want to build the ideal ride or park! If the devs could make that free of charge they’d get 5 stars from me.

Throwback to childhood
This really is a very well constructed game. I'm into my third park already in less than a day and have yet to find something from the old PC games that you can't do here. It is very true to the originals (apart from only being able to set park entry prices if rides are free, or vice versa, which has been explained by Atari so you can't double charge guests).
Playing on a normal sized iPhone 7, the controls are a bit difficult due to the amount on screen and being quite small, but I've only tapped the wrong icon a handful of times.
Expensive for a game, but I would still definitely recommend if you want a throwback to the original games.

At last, Atari have listened
An effective roll up of the first two rollercoaster tycoon games (the truly great originals from Chris Sawyer) for iOS. Atari must have listened to what fans wanted because we finally have a game here that does the franchise justice. It works because the original games were just so sublimely good and have been translated well to touchscreen devices, and also importantly because this bucks the modern trend of marketing models found in mobile and tablet games today. Pay once for the full game and relax, you won't be pestered by adverts, microtransactions, or having to wait 3 days in real time for your next coaster to be built. Sure, there's optional addon dlc like the originals, but there's so much on offer here without it. Rejoice and play like it's 2002 again!

Classic ace game!
Well, you can't say they don't listen. Last update made some mistakes in gameplay, there were some bad reviews about it and they've fixed them now with the latest update. If that doesn't show care and passion for their game I don't know what does. Well done guys, great game made into a fantastic app version. Love it.
