Tennis TV is the official live video streaming app of the ATP Tour. Watch live tennis on your Apple TV, iPhone or iPad from up to 63 tournaments a year, as well as full match replays, classic matches, highlights and features. With Tennis TV you get live tennis online, whenever and wherever you want.

Territorial blackout restrictions may apply for some ATP 500 and ATP 250 tournaments. Service does not include WTA or Grand Slams.

Tennis TV subscription

Tennis TV is free to download and browse, and some short videos on the FEATURES channel can be watched without a subscription. To stream live matches, watch replays and match highlights, as well as access the full collection of video and replays, a monthly or annual subscription is required. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription. Auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period.

Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

Ongoing issues

Let me start by saying this is a great service. The app is also great, in the main. The issue I have is not being able to get rid of the overlays when watching highlights. I’m talking about the play head on the bottom and the info across the top. It should be a simple fix and I emailed them months ago about the problem.

Please fix it because this should be a five star review.

There is so much good stuff on Tennis TV and it is really well organised. Full matches, replays, players and classics going back 30 years.

And there are highlights too...

Don’t be put off by the app because you can watch this in a browser or on Apple TV etc.

TV Tennis on I-phone, pad and computer

Unsure whether to trial based on numerous issues reported when trying to play through Amazon platform. On iPhone, iPad and computer no problems whatsoever. Great coverage, decent commentary and excellent backlog of classic matches, rivalries etc. Would certainly recommend to anyone who is stunned by Sky’s inability to hold onto tennis coverage. By dropping sports off Sky package easily offset the cost of TennisTV.

Developers need to fix the many bugs

Still doesn’t remove the timeline bar when watching highlights. No idea what the score is throughout!!

This is on an iPhone XS. The cost of subscription would have you believe they are constantly updating and optimising. This is not the case, barely any new updates over the past 12 months! Terrible maintenance of an app.

This is truly the world's worst app in every possible way. I really don't know where to begin with the complaints. I'm not sure I have enough characters. I would give it 0 stars if it were possible. Server is constantly down. Subscription keeps charging me every month even though I cancel every month. Streaming is a joke. It's expensive. Renewing the subscription is like heart surgery every time. I can't login to the site. It is utterly useless in every way.

Started Out Great, BUT!!!

At first I thought: Fantastic! I can watch tennis any time I wanted now that you can watch it on UK terrestrial or satellite TV. BUT....

Developers, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE fix these freezing problems. It’s EXTREMELY frustrating trying to watch a match to constantly get up to close the app or shut down my phone to watch a match. And lately, while the video was progressing the sound progressed while the picture remained frozen!!! I might as well listen to the radio!

And one more thing. To be constant told: "Error playing this video, check your network connection" when I switch videos is very annoying too as the only way to get rid of the error is to shutdown the app.

Good but get rid of the progress bar

I’m an avid tennis fan and have subscribed to TennisTV for a few years as a back up to my Sky subscription to watch the tournaments they didn’t show. Now that Sky have dropped tennis and Amazon Prime is useless, I’m 100% reliant on TennisTV.

It’s great that full match replays are instantly available as soon as the match has ended but the progress bar ruins the suspense of watching a replay “as live”. As soon as you see the duration of a match is, say, 1hr 30m, you know who’s won after the end of the first set. Due to work commitments and tournaments taking place in all time zones, I’m rarely able to watch a match live. When I watch the replays I have to hold my hand in front of me to block the progress bar whilst fast forwarding! Please can you just add a user preferences option on the app (and on the app on Amazon Fire Stick) where we can turn this really annoying feature off?

Great but one really annoying factor

This is a great app, being able to watch live and replays anywhere anytime without spoilers. But PLEASE - the one thing that does spoil it is you tell us how long the match is on replays which gives the whole thing away after the first set knowing how long the match will go on.

Have to cover it up on tv screen or device to avoid looking at length time. So annoying!! Thanks.

We use this app for catch up and it is infuriating when the commentators give the results of matches that are running concurrently or are recently finished.

It is possibly beyond your control but the camera work from some venues is poor. From Antwerp for example the angle is so foreshortened that it is too distorted to follow easily.

Every update makes the app more useless

There is no option to use Chromecast for Highlights but there is for replays, how does that make sense?! For live feeds and replays the service is always patchy, despite a 200mb wired internet connection there are still buffering and quality issues. I don’t experience this issue with other streaming apps such as Netflix, YouTube or Amazon Prime. It frankly is an absolute rip-off. Great range of content in theory but in practice it is the most frustrating app to use, every single time there is an issue. I will be requesting my subscription money back.

I purchased this App to watch Andy Murray play Shenzhen, the streaming was fine. You only get 2 stars because I can’t select him under the players menu because his current ranking is outside the top 50. 🙄

Constantly logs me out!!!

Response to developer: yes I have remembered to put remember me on this device on all my devices it still logs me out constantly after 30 days. I really appreciate the response though :-) please fix this .

This should have been a five star review! I hate how tennis TV is constantly logging me out and having me login again this is driving me nuts! Not the big tech companies do this unless you ask them to! Stop doing this and I will give you a five star review.

Wow

I was a bit apprehensive at first with some negative comments but decided to purchase this. I’m so glad that I did. It is fantastic. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long!! Great quality and also I love the features eg replay of games and past classic games with former players. If you love tennis then this app is a must. The only feature I would like is to be able to download the match for offline viewing when I’m on the train. Highly recommended.

Unreliable

Whether you cast to your smart TV or stream via AppleTV, the service is unreliable. It takes ages to load, it cuts out, freezes your iPhone, you have to reset and restart. Very annoying mid match. Sometimes it fails during the warm up! Sort it out ATP, we pay for this service. Otherwise, give the rights to Eurosport who know what they’re doing with their red button.

Needs to modernise

It’s ridiculous having a paid streaming service with video implementation this bad. Allow picture in picture and split screen multitasking for us iPad Pro users. It’s a ridiculous waste nowadays to just be having a single app open when both hardware and software support this!

Lack of progress on this app was why I stopped subscribing last year (after several happy years as a pc only viewer) only to be surprised that over the year almost no real progress has been made.

This isn’t a cheap subscription; please give your customers value for money and less sitting on your tush counting beans.

Also come to realise tennis matches seem to be about 30 seconds behind.

It’s annoying seeing on google the score of a match that I’m watching, how is it that your lag is 33 seconds ?!

When I subscribed years ago the google score report and your feed was almost identical. Yet your prices have clearly gone up.

The app is completely useless. It never remembers you on a device, and logging in does't even work at the moment. The reset password email never appears and for the cost, this is really poor service

The only reason I did not give this five stars is because there is no facility to find out the results of matches you have missed.

It's annoying to have to break off and go to the BBC sport online app to look these up.

I am also sad that women's matches are no longer covered but this is not TennisTV's fault.
