Description

The UK's most trusted credit score* is available for free. Get free access to a wide range of our services, from credit score checks, credit card comparison & eligibility and personal loan comparison & eligibility.
Your Experian Credit Score is a straightforward way of showing how lenders may view your application. As part of a credit check, companies may look to see whether you’ve paid back your credit on time, how much credit you currently have and how you’re managing it. The better your credit score the better your chances are of getting a credit card, loan or even a mortgage, along with great rates for each.
Compare credit cards and loans with us. Let Experian help by showing you the credit cards and personal loans you’re most likely to be accepted for, helping you save hassle and avoid too many unsuccessful applications impacting your credit rating.
Experian is a credit broker not a lender†, so we show you impartial search results.
Free Experian account features:
• Your Experian Credit Score on the go
• Credit card and loan comparison
• Summary of your total credit
• See how likely you are to get accepted for personal loans and credit cards before applying
• Tips, articles, videos and expert knowledge to improve your suitability for credit checks at your fingertips
• Quick and easy login with Touch/Face ID or PIN
CreditExpert subscribers get access to these additional features:
• Personalised tips on how to improve your credit score
• Score Influencers show you what’s positively and negatively affecting your Experian Credit Score
• Get your Experian Credit Score & Report updated daily
• Alerts notify of you credit score changes
• UK call support for credit report & score
• Timeline shows you a single view of your score history and alerts
• Web monitoring
• Dedicated fraud support
Checking your Experian Credit Score regularly won't affect your credit report or credit rating. What's more, the app search covers a range of selected credit cards and loans.

Helpful

It is really clever how it works, just maybe a little bit complicated for someone who’s dyslexic or with learning difficulties like myself, so I don’t understand the full benefit because it’s laid out too much for me to deal with
But to see what I can is very useful.

Update reduced my perfect credit score

The recent update has increased the maximum credit score, which has pushed me into a lower band despite previously having the highest possible score.
It now appears that the only way to regain an “excellent” rating is to pay for additional features. I’m not willing to do that, especially when nothing about my financial behaviour has changed.
This feels less like an improvement to transparency and more like a way to create anxiety around credit health in order to upsell paid products. At a time when many people are already under financial pressure, this approach feels manipulative and undermines trust in the app and the Experian brand.

Knocked my credit score by 43 points and 99 points weekly for using my credit card

I joined Experian to check my credit score and try to improve it.
I got a credit card to try to improve my score. Used 50% of available credit and I have paid over ÂŁ1k back on it over the past 5 months.
Last month they put so many negative points on my score for no reason. One would have been enough, as they were all for the same reason. Using 50% of the credit available. I went from excellent to fair within weeks.
I have just cancelled my Credit Expert and they took 5 points off me for cancelling. When you sign up for Boost, it states that you won’t get a negative change to your score, which is a lie.
Also had a closed energy account which I paid early termination fee of ÂŁ50, with no missed direct debits, reappear on my file, as open. I kept querying it but it is still showing as an open account.

Arbitrarily Playing God

App’s okay but tells you no useful detail unless you pay for it. If you want advice on how to improve your credit score, you have to pay for it. If you want your latest score i.e. in the last 30 days, you have to pay for it. The credit score you’re given, that has very real world consequences for the individual, feels very arbitrary.
I’ve received a response from Experian regarding the above and they have stated, “Experian Credit Score is just a guideline for how companies may view you.” I believe that’s disingenuous as they know companies use the score to make major financial decisions about individuals and begs the question, where’s the transparency about how Experian collects and uses our very personal data and who do they sell it to. They may tell you, if you pay for it.

Ridiculous waste of time

5 years ago I had a 999 rating and then a company claiming I owed £36 chased me, I challenged it and they took it further. I settled to retain my rating (ridiculous) but they had taken it a step further , not court. So even though settled my rating went from perfect to trash overnight. I had no debt, paid credit cards every month, owned a house without mortgage worth £700k plus and was earning good money. After 2 appeals on principal, computer said no. I have in as I didn’t need credit but my feelings go out to people who have suffered the same but want a mortgage. What do they do? The FCA should take a good look at this company and its practices that could easily ruin people’s prospect of owning a house. 5 years on to the date the debt ( although paid and £36) has been removed as the computer allows and my rating is excellent again. I am now retired and have less money coming in than when my rating was trash. What a joke. You have nothing other than a
Computer algorithm and no appeal process. Thank god it didn’t happen 30 years earlier when I wanted a mortgage. Happy to talk with anyone on my experience which I am convinced isn’t isolated. Steve

A definite app to have

I did not know that you could get this for free at the beginning however I would definitely recommend a trial. It enables you to see what you need to fix and then fix them. If you want to continue with the paid version then that’s fine but once I fixed all my little issues and bugs and increase my credit score, I just plugged back onto the free version. I have been able to increase my credit score dramatically. And having my bank being plugged in helps my score. Much better than Clear Score, however It’s good to have both as clear score tell you how much you have left of your depts like contracts and loans for free. Which is handy. Shame they can’t link together and make a perfect app. But as I said. It’s a definite winner

Handy for Credit Applications

I was getting rejected for loans and credit, left, right, and centre. It was frustrating, as my Experian credit score is excellent. Fortunately, I was able to apply for a credit card directly through Experian, and got accepted in minutes. Well worth a go at their quick credit broker service. I was notified through Experian, via email, that my credit score has gone up 21 points in the month I have been using the credit card I got through them.
Very handy app - not just to check your score, but to apply for loans and credit cards, too.

Experian allows you to keep a very close eye!

Are you worried about identity theft?? One way to be vigilant, is to you this service, but the secret is, to login at least twice (2x) a week. You must KEEP a close eye on “Soft Searches”, even though these do not per se, affect you credit score, but it’s how a fraudster is likely to test the water!! If you don’t recognise a soft search, contact the company in question immediately, and also notify Experian; and if necessary, consider a CIFAS loading. Experian allows me to take action fast, and effectively. The app is extremely useful and easy to use. Protect your credit score, with Experian.

Financially Saved Me

I used Experian when I was younger in some significant debt. I took the decision to pay for premium which was a tough decision especially when already in debt and money wasn’t freely available. Honestly one the best decisions I’ve ever made. It gives loads of tips, things you can do and information on all your financial data, some out of date but still active. Also ways and information to improve, monitor your finances and improve your credit score. I would always advise joining if you need more information on your financial history.
I did it and within 2 years had managed to save enough to buy my first property.

1 * for the app and the company

Welcome to a fresh version of hell where if you are unlucky enough to need to change, correct, add or update anything related to your profile you are doomed to enter a never ending loop of failure. And if you need to “contact us” then good luck as you will enter an infinite purgatory of “send us a message” boxes and looped FAQs. If you are lucky enough to discover the mythical telephone number buried deep in the sub-layers, you will find it guarded by best in class “rejecto” software - guaranteed to not recognise your details and terminate the call without even a hope of speaking to an actual person.
This is online faceless all powerful credit agency bureaucracy at the peak of its power. You stand no chance, download the app, submit to your fate and don’t bother fighting - random, made up and often inaccurate data will inform your credit rating from now on.
Oh and the security of this app is some of the worst I have ever seen. You could drive a bus through it. Luckily it isn’t protecting any particularly important personal data. We are all doomed.

Credit rating not accurate- Does not rate affordability

I have a credit record over a 40 year period. I have never missed a payment on anything. I am now the richest I have ever been and have recently paid a large sum off my mortgage. My credit score is the lowest it has ever been. This is because I am employed by my limited company and I only take the income I need. In the credit scoring they only take certain things into account and do not assess the whole picture. If a person has not missed a payment in 40 years it is very unlikely they will start doing so but good history is not really taken into account. Also savings are not taken into account. Experian have a conflict of interests as they are profiting from selling financial products to the people they are credit rating. They are not independent.

Essential when new home owner

We recently bought a house. I have found this app extremely useful. It has allowed me to make informed decisions before applying for credit and also showing when your mortgage is live on your credit file.
Not only that paying the monthly subscription has given access to a team of friendly knowledgeable people who explain how your report works. No question is a silly one and I’ve left each call with a smile on my face. The team are great! I’ve even kept my subscription past the free trial. As the title says it’s great to track what our financial decisions have and how I’m perceived to lenders.

Best Option

I downloaded Experian, credit karma and clear score at about the same time and I binned the other two recently.
I found Experian to be the best interface, most navigable and most responsive. Experian seemed most up to date with my information. I tried the expert service for free, and it is helpful, but I cancelled before I had to pay and the basic free account is all I need. But if I wanted to track down missed payments or things that were hurting my score the upgrade would be well worth it.

Made such a difference to my financial health

Amazing app, even the free version. There were some negative aspects to my credit score that were affecting my credit ability. They were all minor things that I could change easily and some were mistakes that were easily removed once I knew what they were. In a few days my credit score went from poor to very good and it was easy to correct once I started using Experian. I urge everybody to use this app. It will be the best thing you can do for your financial health. It’s really easy to use and runs smoothly without glitches or bugs.

Experian…What a joke!

Awful App! Awful company! I am UK based and bank with NatWest. They use TransUnion for my credit score and it’s so accurate. Experian have never ever got my details correctly. I wrote to them and even paid to get my account sorted as they have incorrect details and have mixed them up with my dad who has the same name. I’ve given up trying now. NatWest have basically improved my credit score no end! No one needs Experian, it’s a total scam. Don’t get hung up on this monopolistic company, try TransUnion!!!!

JOKERS!!!!

So I’ve had the app for ages with 2 below excellent for over 6 months easily.
Then it moves 12 points into the excellent category which it should be anyway as all the other credit reference agencies have me in the excellent category.
Then the following month after declining to add my bank details and upgrading the app my score goes down 18 points back into the good again.
All other reference agencies have me in excellent, not just touching excellent by the way, at least a quarter of the way up there.
So basically Experian stitched me up because I didn’t want to share my bank details or pay the monthly fee for their dodgy app.
Oh another thing I find strange, all the other apps you can contact them directly even on the free version, but oh no not with Experian unless your paying for their rip off full version.
Open your eyes Experian , even banks give you your credit file for nothing so what cookoo land are you living in thinking that people will pay for your well outdated version off an app???
You’ve got stuff on there like 2 months outdated, yet credit score and my banks credit check are bang on up to date.
Any answers????
Oh I’d also give you zero stars if it allowed me.

Great app really helpful to see your credit score and what loans and cards your eligible for

Even though my score is excellent ie above 950 I still can’t get a mortgage or a loan at a decent rate but since giving up alcohol 7 years ago it’s fantastic to see how my score has gone from below 200 to the dizzying hieghts of above 950 it’s a shame lenders don’t give a toss how good your score is or for how long you’ve kept your financial affairs in great shape you’d be better off robbing a bank even though these days there’s nothing inside them not even your money

Incorrect information

The app works well but does show incorrect information a lot and it takes a lot of time to get it corrected. So far they have said I’m not on the electoral register,I’m over my overdraft and I applied for a credit account! I have checked and I’m on the electoral roll and as for the overdraft I do even have one on that account. As for the credit account it was because the credit company hard searched me as I had a similar name to someone else!! Don’t expect this app to be near accurate.

Basically it’s great but……..

The app is really good you can see who’s been checking you out, see the soft searches etc, There is a facility once switched on to stop credit checks if applying for credit etc, the issue is that there is never anyone on line to speak to, to question checks, if you see a search that’s not been requested there is nothing you can do or say to anyone, bit like watching someone breaking into you house through a ring doorbell.
Maybe a call handler to explain who keeps checking as with mine it’s the same companies that check who I don’t know who they are
Otherwise simple to use just incomplete

Pay for the Credit Expert!

Experian is brilliant even when it’s free, but if you need to spend some time looking at your finances in depth and to streamline things (who doesn’t?), then pay for the CreditExpert monthly subscription. You won’t regret it. It’s MASSIVELY helped me get on top of my finances with recommendations with how to improve my score etc. Just seeing everything laid out in front of you helps and it’s really been a big part in getting me back on track and in a much better position than I was previously.

Easy credit check

Was surprised a few years ago when i bought a new phone. The assistant was staggered when he checked my rating commenting that i could walk out with 3 phones if i wanted. I assumed that i had an unusually good rating. So thought i would check to see exactly what my rating is now and whether it is still good. This seemed a good idea as there have been a couple of times over the years when i have suspected that identity theft had been attempted on me and fairly often obvious bogus messages pop up which are usually easy to spot and delete without downloading.

Watching my score improve

Even though you have to pay to see more on your credit file, I like the fact you can see lots of information about what they hold on you, anything that’s not right can be sorted. It’s also a great way of seeing your score improve and also knowing what might alter it and you can decide if you want apply for something as this can alter your score, this way if your applying for something important you can wait as the higher your score is the better it is for you.

Marielou Pereira

I used to be sceptical about getting Experian to give me a credit rating because I was in debt for 20 years after my husband’s death as he left me with £25,000 debt. He was refusing to pay any bills whilst we were going through a divorce, when he died I had to pay everything.
My daughter got onto Experian and convinced me to get their app too. So I joined Experian and lo and behold they gave me a good score, my credit rating wasn’t good for a long time but once I settled all my debts my credit rating has improved.
It’s good to be with Experian, you know where you stand financially in this money grabbing world of ours.

Experian knows nothing about my finances

I have been paying Experian ÂŁ15 per month for the last 8 years whilst I try to rebuild my credit. During this time I have NEVER missed a payment for ANYTHING. I have a mortgage and a second mortgage. I have just repaid my second mortgage in full 50k. I have 2 personal credit cards. One with 1.5k and one with 5k. Had them both for 8 years + and both are paid in full by direct debit every month. I had a 15k loan from Santander over 36 months. Just 3 payments to go and never missed a payment. I have bought 4 brand new transit vans for my business. Paid cash for the first one 7 years ago because I couldn't get credit. Then bought another 2 using Ford credit. Both paid for now and never missed a payment. Currently paying for another one, never missed a payment. No tax arrears. Tax and national insurance paid on time every month for 6 staff. Never been late with a VAT payment. Never been late with Corporation tax bill. Never been late with self assessment tax bill. I have NEVER had my credit score moved out of 'FAIR' but I am offered over priced credit on a daily basis. Experian knows absolutely nothing about my credit worthiness. The most pointless ÂŁ15 per month you could ever spend. Today my credit rating went down so I am just above 'POOR' in their eyes.

Great app for real life changing opportunities

I have worked really hard in last 10 years on my credit score. It is the only App you need to open up new financial chapters in your life. It’s easy to use, clear and to be honest, Honest. The hard bit is up to you. It really opens up new freedoms with a great credit score. However not going to lie, is a long term goal, which you see score reversing at times, but stick with it. I went from terrible around 250 to Excellent 999+ maintaining it for last year. It has changed the way I think about money and budgeting. If I can do it with Experian, so can you.

The app is ok. Customer service is impossible

The app helpfully gives a phone number. On using this number to speaker to an agent you are greeted by a friendly computer that demands a whole bunch of security information (normally I’m reluctant to give this as it can lead to identify theft) however I entered all the information then it demands to know what you want to talk about. My desire was to find out why the company has stopped using the direct debit facility I have given it. So I chose subscriptions. Then there are three options none of which satisfy my requirements and there is no way to talk to a human
Unless Experian can come to a way of talking to them I guess we will be praying company after so many years
They are going to lose a customer

Top service from Experian

If you require an honest assessment of your Credit Score and rating the best to use is Experian. They never make a mistake that has to be corrected and I have never needed to complain about their credit score. One Credit Score Company had to be pulled up about their mistakes e.g. confusing me with someone of my name living in the same town, putting their overdue bills onto my report and worse taking well over 18 months to correct them. In that time waiting on tenterhooks for the bailiffs to arrive. Another made accusations from Banks I had never applied to for anything and allowed via a fake Microsoft Windows update criminals to infect my PC with a Trojan virus, send me a ransom email via gmail, change my passwords and access my Credit Score trying to find details of my banking. Be warned do not bank online. I do not so they failed but rendered my computer useless. Have nothing but praise for Experian backing me up and giving me courage to battle on by contacting the Financial Ombudsman, the Police and Action Fraud. Still waiting for that corrected Credit Report to be posted to me. One would have thought from their attitude, and they know who I mean), that I was the criminal. Use Experian.

Don’t pay for credit expert

I was a ‘credit expert’ paying customer who had worked hard to repair bad credit, only a few points away from an excellent score. One day, my score jumped down by a massive 112points, despite no new credit accounts or no adverse events. Nothing showed in my account. I contacted Experian on three separate occasions to ask what the reason for this was (since the whole point of credit expert is to understand your credit)and got zero response on all three occasions. Still nothing showing on the credit report.. in contrast, my score on other credit report websites, including the one used by my own bank has not changed. Experian take your money but don’t provide the service they promise. Don’t waste your cash. I have unsubscribed and at time of writing, several weeks later, still no response. Waste of money.

Doesn’t reflect your true situation

Not the best. You’re informed of changes but not always told why.
Recently dropped 95 points, apparently because I opened ‘3 new credit accounts’. I just moved so closed my original British Gas accounts and opened two new accounts with same supplier for new house. Got penalised for that. Since when are BG credit accounts. Have a Next account which I’ve had for years. Use occasionally and used it recently and got penalised again for that as well. Complained and got the BG accounts removed but no change to my score. Why!!
Method of scoring is bizarre and unfair. Moving house is detrimental to your rating It needs an overhaul

Very slow to react or correct in your favour

I downloaded this app because I wanted to keep a check on my credit rating after a tough financial period during the pandemic. I wanted to know what my rating was and how best to improve it.
Even though my mortgage was in agreed arrears during the pandemic it was always paid on time and as per that agreement with my lender. Experian refused to correct an error of theirs that continues to show a late payment, in spite of the fact that Santander contacted them to inform them that everything was in order.
Experian are extremely quick to downgrade a credit rating for any number of minor and spurious reasons, but are glacially slow to reward or acknowledge an improving situation.

Great customer service

Iv always had really good credit and been carful with money. So I was shocked to see that my Experian credit score was in the low 500’s. I called The Experian help line to see if they could get to the bottom of it. It turned out my old virgin media account had not been terminated back in 2020 when I asked to leave and paid the fee to end my contract early! I have been being charged £81 per month since then. But because I cancelled the direct debit with them it was bouncing back on their system as a payment default! Nightmare!
Anyway the nice lady at Experian raised my query with Virgin media on my behalf and had everything sorted with in 24 hours! My credit score is now back to 995! Amazing! Can’t thank them enough.

Excellent App and free to use

It’s is more than an app, it gives you tips and hints, about how to stay on top of your game. Very educational and with clear insights on how to build your credit score.
I love it, this app, it helps me put my finance into place and enables me to proactively monitor my credit score. Plus it’s free to use
I check it regularly and using the report I am to build and maintain my credit. The monthly report comes handy. Without a shadow of a doubt it has helped me to maintain health credit score and l successful in obtaining credit and loans. When I paid it off it showed this on my score.

Useful, but I’m suspicious

A nice app. Easy to use, everything is clear.
A bit confusing and suspicious. I signed up and immediately got an excellent score, WAY above what it should have been.
Over the next few months it gradually dropped 100 points - I missed NO payments, took no more credit, used credit card sparingly and cleared the balance every month. Didn’t go overdrawn, yet my score slowly dropped.
I suspect, that if I paid for the full service, I might have a higher score- or am I being cynical?
IMO my score is about right, but was way too high to begin with

Ok, but don’t move house

I liked this app, checked every update, see the score getting better and a breakdown of where the balances were. All really good and up to date (occasional a month out). Since moving house - and that’s all I did as renting, my score went down by some 150 points, realised I had not updated my address on here so updated and it’s now gone down another 150, no reason or explanation, unless I pay, which was free before, breakdown no longer there. It’s feels like being forced into paying for the basic things that used to be free, so you pay for a better score? It’s really demoralising so I’ll be deleting now, it gives me nothing useful. I just hope it’s an error on their systems and not real, hopefully they’ll change it for the better.

Don’t pay them a penny

I regularly monitor my credit score and last year I moved house, got a mortgage and changed banks. It took Experian nearly 7 months to update. I paid a monthly fee to Experian, and had done for years to get the full report and cross referenced it with Equifax and Clear Score which were both free. Within 6 weeks both had my personal info up to date. I called Experian and asked why I was paying for out of date reports and the free services were up to date and quite rightly so asked for a refund for the months my profile was wrong. I received no refund and dealt with rude staff. This company turns over an obscene amount of money and in return provides a service which is worst than what you can get for free so don’t waste your money like I did.

Great app but login process is frustrating

I really like this app and enjoy the functionality - but the app keeps logging me off for apparent security reasons even though I have faceid enabled. This is very very frustrating and very different to many other apps. Which is a reason why I give 4 stars. If that would persist - I would give it 3 stars and that functionality is neither brings more security given options of two factor authentication nor is user friendly - speaking as software developer

Virgin media corrupting score

Found out that this tin pot firm affects your life if you have accidentally missed bill payments. Unfortunately it is easy to sign up with virgin but impossible to leave as you need to try and tell one of their employees. Knock on effect was that it affected my rating to very poor. Took 30 days for it to get sorted out with virgin who even had a template email for me to use to get my score corrected. Just that fact tells me everything you need to know. This app was used continually to monitor and today finally reverted to excellent
Now reviewing my rating every month after getting reminders from Experian, especially after losing my job of 18yrs, and still having financial commitments

Lost 140 points because I signed up with virgin internet !

How can I loose 140 points going from excellent to fair because virgin done a hard search just to sign me up for internet! Absolutely disgusting! This would actually effect my chances of buy a house and getting the right mortgage just because I got internet with virgin? I now have to wait at least 12 months before I can look at any properties because my credit rating has dropped dramatically Over getting a contract with virgin just for getting internet! If I knew that, I would of gone without internet! Liberty..

This app changed my life.

After years of struggling to pay off various Credit & Store cards, whilst also struggling to get a loan to consolidate them all, the Experian app popped up with a suggestion of a loan that I was likely (95%) to be accepted for. I applied for the loan on Thursday and the requested amount was in my account on the Monday morning.
Yes the loan may have been available anyway, but I considered my credit rating too poor to even search around.
So now instead of making huge payments and a vast amount of that just paying the credit card interest. I will be debt free in 3 years. Although it has also freed up enough of my salary that I may actually pay extra on top and pay it off earlier.

Would recommend subscription

I had a CCJ against me for an unpaid parking fine. Letters were getting sent to an old address, and only when my credit score went down and I simultaneously received a notification from Experian was i aware of this.
I acting promptly, paid the fine. And the CCJ was removed from my score.
If I hadn’t removed the CCJ in 4 weeks it would have been on my record for 6 years. I also would have been non-responsive to a CCJ and am not sure how that would have played out...

I lost 138 points on my score in 1 month

In December 2020 I had an experian credit score of 963 (I had been in the excellent bracket since April 2020). No late or missed payments.
Then in January 2021 my score dropped to 825 (fair bracket). I hadn’t opened any new credit accounts in December, I was using under 10% of my available credit.
At first I received a lot of generic advice on credit scores which did not help. The last email I received regarding my complaint says that’s the drop is due to opening a new bank account in October 2020 (lowering my credit accounts age) & using my credit cards, the person mentioned that in Dec my credit card balances were £0 then in jan it was £89 (out of £500)& another card was £525 (out of £3000 within my 0% interest period) I also have other cards that with £0 balances. I have sneaky feeling they just want people to sign up to boost & paid services !!

Rating

I am little unhappy with Experian. My rating has stayed the same as it was before and all I get is a message to say you are unable to help or so it seems. All the other credit organisations still leave me high. I have not changed anything and I have changed items like you have me single when I have been married for 42 years, we own our home with no mortgage. It is crazy I have no idea why you reach the decision you do, as We
have no debt, we pay our credit cards on time and if full. May be you need to look at your system as it changes information and does not give the correct info back and the rate was quite high and you reduced it and then suggested to me to fill out your information in order to increase a score I already had. So we will see if someone bothers to contact me to discuss the matter.

Fantastic Service

Experian is head and shoulders above the other credit reference agencies when it comes to Apps. Other major agencies don’t have an app or use 3rd party apps that are poor and slow to update any information the hold from your creditors.
Experian has updated my credit file in a timely manner with any updates received from my creditors.
You can trust the information shown by Experian is accurate and up to date.
Couldn’t suggest improvements. Top class, fantastic service.

Make it useful

Doesn’t show credit score and it doesn’t let you login the app so make it useful as it was claimed. Whenever I try to log in it says they have to verify some details and it will take 5 working days but it seems to me that it will take forever because I have been trying to log in since September or October 2019 and I keep on getting same thing same messages all the time. I have changed my address in September 2019 and I have tried to log in to my account after that since then its not working . I don’t know if anyone their to fix all the issues . I will wait and see if anybody fix all the issues I have read in the feed back. If not then probably will delete the app.

Useless

I get to the point of logging in and it asked me to create pin. I Create a pin and then renter as asked it just keeps telling me pin submission failed try again.
I have been watched ensuring I entered the PIN number correct twice.
Rang the customer services and they talked to me like I was an idiot like I knew nothing. The real thing is they had no idea what they was talking about.
Deleted the app just a waste of space.
Been reading other reviews since I posted mine it seems there are lots of problems signing in. But I have yet to see any movement from Experian to correct this. I myself have runs customers service several times about this with no luck so I have given up.
Also if you have a problem with your file it takes a lot of brow beating to get them to respond to you. I am waiting for them to come back to me now on issue. I’m on the verge of going back to the banking ombudsman.
Ended up going to ombudsman to get you to respond when there was no need. There are still errors with my file. My main bank account that I have had for forty years is nowhere to be seen this is not the apps fault it’s Experian. They think they are above everyone and give you a hard time. My credit score has not altered for months Last time this happens they had to delete my account and I had to put it back. Miracle the score changed. This app is not reading the data they have on you.

Mr Nigel King

I was refused a mortgage due to Experian having the wrong details for me, so my rating is only “fair”,namely they have me living at three addresses , living in a rented property, not being on an electoral role etc, i actually have a majority share holding of a limited company that has been running for 40 years and an outfit like this gives a totally wrong rating for me .
I rang them a few months ago to try to get them to amend the false details they have posted about me only to be told they can’t do anything on the phone but if I payed a monthly conscription I could amend the details myself to which I reluctantly did , even giving details of the electoral role giving my present address etc, I’ve emailed them and they still ignore me and my details that they give are still not updated. Obviously I am livid about this company.
I’m still awaiting a response!

Not up to date. Poor data scrape rate. Incorrect data.

Very disappointing, very clearly a poor data scrape rate so info doesn’t reflect current positions, even after several days. Even after 30 days refresh. Information held I can show very clearly to be wrong. No fraud etc, just poor data maintenance. Customer service response simply standard paragraphs strung together. Not impressed.
Update. 3 Months later. Continuing complaint later. 3 supposed data refreshes later. Inaction and factually incorrect data held by Experian. It doesn’t actually affect me that much at the moment but just really poor show by a company with this much responsibility. Progressing complaint to Financial Ombudsman.
Very poor and not what you would expect as standards for a company with this much responsibility.

Compact, informative & excellent offers

This is one of those apps where a good effort has been put into presentation. After all, who wants to deal with something that doesn’t look good and a headache to use? Experian draws on its access to credit information collated by financial institutions, so you can be sure of an up to date reflection of your financial history. Certainly important if you have been making efforts to improve your ranking to those institutions.
It’s not just about getting that card you’d like but also about the price or rate you will be offered, and arguably a credit card at 6.4% is better than one at 39.9%.
The nice part about the Experian app is it’s easy to navigate. One can check on a range of metrics but I really like the at a glance home page that shows your latest score. It’s nice to see the progress one is making.
There are other apps about your credit rating but Experian seems to be the most polished in my estimation. Best of all, it’s free! What’s not to like about our favourite word. Go on, you know you want it!

Don’t Bother Paying!

The Experian App and general service gives you no useful info other than your Experian credit score, which doesn’t mean much without knowing the factors that make up your score. Clear Score and Totally Money give you a better App and service for free. These are worth having anyway as they give you your scores from different credit bureaus - Equifax and Callcredit.
Don’t think paying for the Experian service will make any difference! The only info that gives you is info you can see for free with Totally Money or Clear Score.
If you’re actively monitoring and working on your credit score in prep for mortgage etc. just get the free Experian App, which gives you an updated score every 30 days. Barclaycard also give you your Experian score with its App every 60 days.

Martin says it's, Brilliant.

Isn't it good just to know what damages your credit score and conversely, therefore, what protects it. There are a number of free credit reports available, and as Martin Lewis (UK Money Savings Expert) says, use two or three of them to get a broad vista of your credit score, and then you can use their eligibility calculators to know whose products you are likely to be accepted for without damaging your prescious credit rating. I couldn't afford this if it was not free, so I personally appreciate the Experian offer of being able to keep track of my credit score for free and check out other loans or cards without permanent damage to that score. Brilliant.
