The game is beautiful and the graphics are amazing, but, the gameplay gets repetitive after the first level and it becomes so difficult after that it becomes unplayable.

What i REALLY REALLY want added, is multiplayer, so you can olay with friends or against someone, idk.

I really don’t get this game, you literally just walk side to side on the screen, over and over again doing very little.

I tried to give it a chance because I paid so blinking much for it and other people said it was amazing but really, it was the biggest waste of money for me, I’ve had many hours more fun with £3 or £5 games.

Wonderful game. Looking forward to the sequel.

Probably the most fun and addictive game I have ever played. I just keep coming back to it. Would be nice to see an update to this game too while we wait for 2 crowns to come to mobile.

Very beautiful game but extremely difficult and unfair, the winter is permanent so it puts pressure on you to build an economy as quick as possible but also after day 20 on any island the monsters amount and the quantity of red moons is painfully shoved down the players throat. I spent he last 5 hours on 2 games on island number 4 and I basically died after I get a red moon in the middle of the day and after barely surviving the night turned into red moon and it killed me. 2 breeders can easily go through 3 tier 4 level wall and more then a dozen archers in tier 4 towers and a catapult, to which they destroyed my economy so hard there’s no way I could recover. I get 2 red moons in a row very often, especially after day 20-25. Also I find that archers stop venturing to hunt after you make knights so don’t rush into making them unless you have a very solid economy built. Farms very rarely spawn close to your village so it’s hard to defend them and managing the army, upgrades and the economy very tedious and tiresome to run on minutes at a time. The sooner you build full farms the better, you need 27 coins to max out, you better have a good defence by day 10 because blood moons start showing up and by day 20 you get hammered really hard, and you got to take out the pier side of the map of portals before day 30 shows up or you will be faced with winter that will decimate your economy and ability to recover from 2 breeders showdown. All of this with no tutorial on any of the elements of the game so you better read the Wiki or some Guide if you don’t want to waste your time with frustrations

Amazing game, very hard in the beginning but once you start to learn the game mechanics, how to set up a gold economy and such it becomes really interesting.

I love this game so much that I’ve bought it on both iOS and Steam.

The issue I have is that now I can’t find anything else that peaks my attention because it’s not as good as Kingdom New Lands.

To those that have complained about AI issues etc, you’re just not playing the game right, or at least you haven’t worked out how to. The whole point of this game is to over time become an expert on the behaviours of each different type of character. Once you understand this it’s essential to know exactly when to deploy your knights, when to upgrade a building and when it’s better to wait for the following morning, when to chop that tree so your builder doesn’t go running off into the night and get taken out by the Greed. Not undertaking these activities at precisely the right moment can make the difference between winning and losing and once you learn this it’s incredibly satisfying to play. And honestly it isn’t THAT difficult to learn. There are only builders, archers, farmers and knights to your disposal.

The fact that when you lose the crown you end up restarting back at level 1 is excruciating, yet it does make beating this game all the more compelling and once you do, you feel like you really earned it! I’ve replayed this game many times till I unlocked every hermit or mount and also finally beat Skull island which was the expansion now part of the main game.

I just wish the developer would make a sequel, same premise, new character types, new setting. And more levels and I’ll buy it again, twice.

Love this game on the xbox so i got it on my phone however it seems to be super buggy, for some reason my coins keep being dispensed as soon as i start moving, i dont know why its doing this but it makes the experience incredibly frustrating.

This game is terrible. Mind numbingly boring and repetitive with a premium price tag. I like side scrollers and strategy just amazed at how this can take 2 genres I enjoy and completely mess it up. I wouldn’t even download this again and play it if they refunded me and paid me to put the hours of playing into it.

Great game, have played this for months on end and really enjoy it. However, since the last update I’ve been having problems where shrines no longer appear, including the stone one. The game is impossible to complete. Help! Would love to beat skull island.

The horses stamina is really bad and it won’t let me make certain walls

Brilliant, brilliant game. It comes with no instructions. You learn how to rule as you go. You meet people, statues, animals and do on, and only through playing, making mistakes, and correcting earlier errors, do you get the most out of this game.

You will lose your crown many many times, but that’s fine, as you’ll want to return to this beautiful land over and over. Each time you return you will have discovered something new, tried a new tactic, or found something interesting on the map.

After many days, and goodness knows how many hours, I have finally completed the game. However, I see from the challenges listed in the trophy section that I have missed so much, so I am about to dive in and do it all again.

Brilliant gameplay, beautiful graphics, eerie atmospheric sound and music. Plus incredibly addictive. Worth every penny.

10/10 - one of my favourite games on the App Store.

Easily one of my favourite games currently on the App Store. Initially, as others have said, this app is difficult to begin with due to the lack of a proper tutorial... but this works in the game’s favour since you soon begin to pick up the little tricks of how to succeed at the game. When the penny starts to drop it becomes easier to play but still a challenge! You will fail many times at the first couple of missions!

This game is beautiful and has a lot of potential. It’s a great concept with a lot of addictive qualities.

However, it’s very hard for a new player. There are a lot of things that you’ll only learn after a lot of stops and starts. The controls can be unresponsive - often I end up handing out coins on chopping trees instead of running. The AI on things like builders and archers is poor at best. They’ll die from their own stupidity.

Ultimately the game is very repetitive and unforgiving. I’ve repeatedly lost after long periods of play (with no idea what I’m doing wrong) and am now left feeling like I just want to delete the game so I stop wasting my time. This is especially true after moving to a new island. If you die here and restart, you do not restart with the coins and people from the previous island - making the game even harder than it already is.

A good game until it stops working, the character is stuck and will not move at night I simply die. Not worth 10

nice game runs well on iPhone 7 nice graphics, certainly something different to what I normally play which is nice, early days so far. Have to say though I’m enjoying it!😊

So you can't defend yourself against the thieves? Should at least be able to run them over or even escape from them without them taking coins! For the price this game is pretty mundane. Up and down some land on a horse. It's a bit crap.

In summary this game is very hard, very expensive and very repetitive

The levels are identical to each other just a bit harder, the ai is awful (lots of archers on one side of the defences and none on the other. And it's really slow- which as it's so unforgiving of even the slightest error can be amazingly frustrating!

This game is quite simple on the face of it: control your king by going left and right, recruit people and give them jobs, collect gold and build your defences. The art style is great and the music is relaxing, but the game is by no means easy. It takes a bit to get going and you are very likely to die on your first play through.

Another solid, for me, is that it supports controller usage (I use the Moga Rebel).

An amazing game, could do with another level? I mean it can be a little repetitive. However overall it's subtle game play is incredible, accompanied by its beautiful artistic nature.

Does tend to not save properly when the window is closed though? The auto save sometimes sends me back like 5 days 😭

It can be confusing at first but once you have replayed the first mission a few times you get the hang of it, very entertaining and fun, beautiful looking too.

Okay so £10 is a lot for a mobile game. Gameplay is initially very addictive and you fail a few times. Then I completed the first island, excited to see what the second island brings. Not much it seems. Pretty much the same gameplay just a bit harder! Needs another element I think

The game itself is a lot of fun to play, I've spent hours on it, but a little bit more variety wouldn't hurt, however, very few noticeable bugs and it's partially randomly generated, so, that makes it fun, overall, love the game, i just expect a touch more content for £9

Nice graphic. But the gameplay is so repetitive.

After playing an hour I got so board. Looks like we can expand our kingdom and leave the island where we stars but it's quite hard to achieve the perfect balance.

My daughter and I love this game. Nothing has captivated us like this, having played the Mac version for what must be many days in total. Every time we learn or notice something new. Strategy is not obvious, nuances of the seasons and characters take time to discover. So good, worth every penny.

It has been stuck on the loading screen for 45 minutes without loading before I wrote this. I can't play, and for £10.99 that is unacceptable.

Would give it no stars at this point because, having downloaded it, the game just sits there with a crown on the screen for hours (literally).

Have made sure the OS is up to date, deleted the app and re-downloaded it - same result.

Would love to get it to work as it is currently a colossal waste of £10. Any advice greatly received. Have tried loading it on iPad Air2 and iPad Pro (12"). Same result on both.

Will be trying for a refund if can't get it going soon. My son is v disappointed that his pocket money is, in effect, thrown away.

Crashed and hung about 5 mins in. Left with a floating crown and no way to interact or progress. Uninstalled to start again

This is kingdom new lands, a resource management, control your subjects type of game involving tower defence, at first glance, you would think this game looks basic and boring but you would be wrong, this game has enormous depth on how to spend your hard earned coin, do you build defences to protect your kingdom for nightfall or do you recruit villagers to come and work for you and train them to be archers to hunt food and defend or be something else like a builder? This game is a real hidden gem and i find relaxing to play but it can be a little hard on your first few games until you get to know how the systems and game works, the game has touchscreen controls but it supports MFI (made for iphone/ipad) controllers/gamepads too. I rated the game 4/5 due to it being £9.99 it would be more suitably priced at £4.99 in my opinion tho, but either way great game, would recommend to strategy fans.
