Only reminds you a week before your MOT is due. I need at least 2-3 weeks reminder. Everywhere I tried to get booked to fit around my days off was booked so couldnt use my car and had to use the bus to get to work.

What a brilliant app, everything you need to know from MOT history or if it’s taxed. If you’re buying a car you can check it’s history and if there is an advisory, make sure it’s repaired before you buy it. You can also put your own cars into the app garage and it will remind you when your car tax is due and notify you that your MOT is about to run out. Oh and it’s free!

You say that the detailed vehicle specification is 99p so I purchased it. BUT ITS ONLY FOR ONE CAR !!. Absolutely no mention in the terms and conditions that this payment is only for one car/search. I was under the impression that the 99p would entitle me to a detailed search on all my searches. Feel ripped off !

As a vehicle technician, this app is so useful and saves me a lot of time. I can check through potential issues with a car by looking at MOT history, and make sure they’re taxed and MOT’d before road testing.
I’ve also used it when looking for my new car to check that MOT history and service history/paperwork matched up, and purchased the more in-depth search option to make sure it hadn’t been written off etc.

I have been using the free version of this app for a few months and it is pretty useful. I decided to go premium as I wrongly thought this would provide some extra features such as vehicle history. However the only extras you get is the ability to save vehicles. Everything else is an in app purchase. To be fair they do tell you this. But you need to click the small “I” at the top right of the main screen to see that info. It is still a useful app but most people won’t need to spend money for the premium version.

You have mixed up my previous Mercedes E class car which displayed the registration SEE 444 with my current CLA vehicle which now displays the registration SEE444. The registration was changed over in December 2019. Please change the fact the current vehicle has not had an MOT, it is not scheduled until its

3 things: when looking to buy a 2nd hand car, you can check it’s MOT history and check if the mileage is genuine; there is the ‘my garage’ section that will remind you when your MOT is due; in my job, I can ANPR vehicles on site and check if they are taxed, mot’d and with another click, if they are insured. Do not purchase anything from this company!
My logbook for my C1 had salvaged due to cost of repair in the logbook notes so I Downloaded the app from seeing so many positive reviews. In the salvaged category of their app it says all the checks it does and offers a example report of what information you will get when you do your check this included photos, date of accident, accident report etc. Payed £4.99 in hard times to be told that my car had been written off and NOTHING ELSE. No date, no description not even what activity the car is now in! I knew less from this than before I did the check! Please do not purchase anything from this company! I have requested a refund but will not hold my breathe!

I’ve had this app for a while, but didn’t realise until now that I could write a review.
What I will say to anyone looking at getting this app is to, get it for sure!
It’s entertaining having a guess if a vehicle has the required docs, if it looks in a state that makes you think that it hasn’t, yet can be disheartening if it’s fully covered lol. I’ve successfully reported two untaxed vehicles that were then collected by the DVLA.
It is a app that’s interesting and entertaining to an extent, but it does a serious service too, it removes illegal vehicles from the road.

It’s a great app
I enjoy using the app. It was one of the apps we used when deciding what type of vehicle to buy when our last car had to go, as it was costing too much to keep. I like that you can see the MOT HISTORY of a vehicle, as well as what tax bracket it comes into, and also the Yearly Car Tax Payable on the Car. Using the “Vehicle Smart” app, as well as help from some friends and the WHAT CAR website, we were able to choose another suitable car. App very good FOR CAR BUYING
It is an excellent app that gives lots of useful information... Our car had an expensive problem to fix and we were considering trading it in.. However, using the Vehicle Smart app ALERTED US to the fact that the car we were considering buying WOULD NEED LOTS OF COSTLY REPAIRS DONE TO IT! I was subsequently, using the info from the app and some additional paid fee (well worth it!), able to look into a few cars and buy of the the cars for the use of my family & I. EXCELLENT APP!

Got this app a while back when I was looking for a new car and found it useful to look at previous MOT information before I viewed the vehicle.
The app has informed me this morning that the MOT is due so again worked great I just need to change the settings to monthly for notifications.
I would recommend this app to anyone. It especially family with multiple cars to keep track of.

A great App
This app is brilliant when looking to buy a second hand vehicle, for example you can check the MOT history and all the advisories, very helpful to know when negotiating a purchase price. You can check with the seller whether the advisory repairs have been carried out.
Lots of other useful info too on this app. Best for checking vehicles over 3 years old as younger vehicles have no MOT history.
I’ve also used the app to find out the status of vehicles that I sold many years ago, most are still MOTd and taxed!
I subscribe to premium, it’s a one-off payment so it represents good value.

Clear, concise and very very useful.
I had another version of this type of app from a different developer and used it regularly for years. This one though has oodles more information and is much better designed.
If for no other reason, anyone with a vehicle can check their MOT and Tax expiry date in a few seconds which is super handy. The amount of times I’ve rifled through paperwork trying to remember when my MOT or Tax (now we don’t have tax discs!!) expires.
You can also do vehicle checks on other people’s cars (handy when buying something or wanting more information on a model you may be considering) search their MOT history for years back (which also shows PASS, FAILS and the reasons why in case of failures). It also shows advisories so you can see what may need doing if you are considering buying a vehicle and someone is trying to pass on their lack of maintenance on to the next owner.
Finally. In the case of an accident, you can quickly check if a car is insured so you can call the police if it shows up as being unfit for the road. This final point is maybe the best reason to own this app and for a very reasonable £3.99 you’d be an idiot not to.

Best car app ever
Used this app on samsung and now moved to Iphone and still use it, it’s the best. All my car details are stored here, type of bulbs, oil type, quantity, insurance numbers, VIN MOT dates, service dates and is so easy to find out info about other cars as well if you change your car quite often. Also great customer service from them. It is worth the £3.99 and more.

Having used other applications of a similar kind to this one, I can honestly say this is without a doubt the best out there. True things can go wrong, but only rarely with this app, and quite often it’s not the fault of this app. No software can ever be flawless especially when it relies on several different servers, but this application does everything it claims and all things considered, it is very reliable. Well done to the developers of this software for producing an excellent piece of software.

3 cars = 3 times the problems
Got the app earlier in the year as I’d missed the fact my service was due!
It works really well as I have 3 cars, not something I’d planned but nonetheless it’s 3 times the work.
What I really like about the app is how it has laid my cars out in ‘my garage’ and all aspects are clearly visible, further it announces in plenty time when tax, insurance and services are due.
Can’t recommend this app enough, it’s brilliant!

Money saving "must have" car buying tool
This app is a MUST for anyone thinking of buying a used car. Checking the MOT history can give you an idea of how the previous owner/s have kept up with the maintenance from year to year. If advisories keep popping up time after time then vital maintenance hasn't been a priority. Servicing would probably not have been done if the same problems keep occurring. I haven't used the "paid" section yet, but I can imagine it would be invaluable if spending a lot of cash. Great app. Have told many people of how good it is, which is unlike me (so is writing a review!!)

Very pleased with this app. It will save you £££s by just doing a quick check on the MOT history. Particularly useful if you are looking for a classic / collectors car for example. How many times do people forget their MOT, tax, a service etc. Well this app will prevent it ever happening to you with all of your vehicle details checked and some automatically updated.
I have a small collection of classic motorcycles and I am able to see at a glance in my garage all the information I need. If I select a specific bike I have VIN numbers, service requirements and technical data down to tyre pressures and sizes etc. It takes a little setting up but with your favourite picture of your vehicles uploaded it’s great to flick through.
One of my favourite applications ever it is useful for anyone who has a car, but if you have a number of vehicles it is essential and with a classic collection it appeals to the geek in me and in this case well worth the one off £1.99 upgrade to the unlimited version.

Motoring MUST HAVE...couldn't do without it
If like me you have more than one vehicle in your life, this app is a must. Go for premium too, keeps you organised and prevents any issues with the authority's or police road check etc. Well designed, user friendly, simple and efficient..if only all apps were this good! Well done

Unbelievable Car Information App
So I got this app because I was looking to buy a car and it has so much free details it's invaluable, it helped me find common faults with a certain model cars as I was checking out all the MOTs of some of the same cars I was looking at, so not only does it tell you about the car but it gives you a list of all the mot fails/passes and this makes it invaluable.

I run an Approved Driver Training Business, including teaching Learners, who are likely to purchase a second hand car. After being 'Stung' buying for my Daughter, I needed to be sure that I wouldn't make the same error again. This app has proved to be invaluable and worth every penny. 2018 will have us start an awards category for various categories with this app is already a contender.

Worth having
Good free app. Good info about mot history and mileage. Nice and easy to store info about the families vehicles when tax,mot is due. Checked one of my old cars and noticed it had a red marker on the mileage two years after it was sold. Someone had taken 79,000 miles off it! . Pity the new owner didn't, have this app, otherwise they would have noticed it had been clocked. Also has a link onto the motor insurance bureau so if you have a bump with another car, you can see if it has some sort of insurance on it on that day.
Great to see mot history on used vehicles and gives a rough indication if it's been properly maintained or not

I was shown this app down the local ale house, it's brilliant.
You never need to worry about when your vehicle or vehicles need taxing or need an mot again, simple put in your reg save it in your garage and you will be sent a reminder before the due date.
Also good to keep a track on previous vehicular owned it will tell you if they are still on the road and what the mileage is.
Great if you are nosy you can enter somebody's personal reg int the app and find out the age of the vehicle.
I had a problem with the mot dater not being available for one of my vehicles, I contacted the developers and it was rectified within the hour.
Well done.
