What is on the app?

An offline map of New York.

This map highlights all kinds of points in the city. From shopping to sports and from theatres to museums. Here you will find my favourite places, famous attractions, good restaurants, where to find toilets and much more. By clicking on the location you can see exactly where the location is, which metro line can get you there, and you can read more information about the place.

An offline subway map.

By using the subway map you know exactly which subway station is close to you and which line you can use to get to your destination.

Buy tickets for New York's attractions and more.

This way, you can easily purchase your discount passes, tickets for Top of the Rock, or book your American Museum of Natural History entrance.

Because the maps can be used offline, you can always see where you are in the city. You won’t need an internet connection to navigate through the Big Apple and are always able to see what you can see and do in the area you are in.

You can collect your favourite places by giving them a star. Now you can create your own map of New York with all your favourites. You can also add your own places to visit! Plan your trip and add your bucket list items to the map so you will see exactly where you need to go in the city.

Brilliant!

I downloaded this app after having found Eric’s, also brilliant, website. We spent 5 days in New York and it was an absolute godsend. The Metro feature was particularly useful. Everything was so much clearer than Google maps. It was particularly good that no data was needed to be able to use it. I would highly recommend.

Eric’s app was extremely useful for our New York trip. Before the trip, I was able to search all our planned attractions and these were plotted in yellow on map. We were then able to use the subway route map to plan the nearest stop. We also used the discount code on the app to buy the New York pass.

Recent NYC visit

Absolute MUST for first time to NYC

I have to say, Eric’s app was an absolute saviour on my trip to NYC- we used it to plan the whole trip. It’s beautifully laid out and easy to use. It has lots of insider information (including how to get a cheap mobile Us sim deal) and restaurant suggestions. I really would recomend this app to anyone travelling to NYC.

Massive thanks to Eric, honestly cannot thank him enough, our trip wouldn’t have been the same without his app and website.

This app is nothing more than a front end to sell tickets

Charge for self guided walking tours? - Really?

Have tried over the years to find some value this app adds other than making money for the people behind it, the answer is there is nothing that google will not tell you

Therefore I am deleting it as useless and a money spinner for the hard of thinking

Eric’s app is so easy to use, and great for making an itinerary of your trip to New York. Had never been before, and this made our trip so much easier. Don’t go to NY without this app!

A brilliant app full of useful information on attractions and costs, subway stations, recommendations for eating places and top tips. You can download and use this off line when you’re in NY. We used it every day on our 4 Day trip to help navigate the subways and walking to different attractions and points of interest. Very easy to use, excellent content and without it we would have been lost! Superb!!

Brilliant app!

Just returned from Christmas in New York, this app was unbelievably handy! I had a good play on it before we went and added everything we wanted to see into the favourites section. I then added our hotel location when we arrived, it was so easy to work out how to get to places. And all without using data which is a huge bonus. Don’t be afraid to message Eric too, he always replied to my messages, was so helpful and polite, definitely made our trip easier. Now onto saving up to go again!!

Me and my family went to New York for the first time and if it wasn’t for this app we would probably still be in New York lost somewhere !!! This app shows you great places to eat

and it gives your really helpful advice but the one thing we used the most on this app was the help it gave us for the subways !!! The subways are quite confusing but with the help of this app we found our way around them in no time we really did feel like New Yorkers we will definitely be using this app again !!!!

I’m a big fan of Eric’s website but this app isn’t working, keeps wanting to update which is fine but then it freezes and have been unable to do anything 😞

We have just completed our fist visit to NYC and without this App and all the fantastic info on the website it would have been a nightmare navigating our way around without it.... Some great recommendations for food and sights, we used the mapping every day.. it’s a must for visiting. Thanks Eric.

The best.

This is honestly the best app for anyone travelling to New York City. You can use the maps offline which is great when you don’t want to use your data abroad. You can pinpoint all the attractions you are interested in and ‘Eric’s tips’ is a nice little bonus where you can get a little more info on certain attractions. You can also use the subway overtop map which shows you were the nearest stops are and which line to use to get to your desired location.

You can also contact Eric himself if you have any questions and he responds very quickly!

A 10/10 app for me and it’s free!!

Take Eric with you to NYC

Having recently made my first visit to New York City for my daughters 18th Birthday we found Eric’s advice and content invaluable.

Straight taking and easy to understand and the offline map is just perfect to use over a paper map or say google or apple maps that are crammed with non relevant content.

We easily saved a few hundred pounds over 5 days by following the advise given and the way Eric explains things is simple for anybody to understand.

Don’t book him a seat on your flight as that’s too expensive, use the website, download the app and your friend Eric will certainly enhance your experience and make getting around so so much easier to understand

An absolute must for first timers

We have just had a very successful first trip to New York. We used this app for maps and tube information. We found our way around and managed to see everything we wanted to and more . A gem of an app

This is an invaluable app before and during your trip to New York.

We pretty much planned our whole trip through the app and Eric’s knowledge of the city!

We bought our New York pass and saved a small fortune. Made use of the discount at Macy’s.

The map with the information was a god send offline.

The face book page is also an amazing find!

The page shows you places you would only stumble across instead of planning a visit to so it was great to add these onto our itinerary.

It was great to see photos of places and then actually visit.

We loved seaport and Greenwich village which we probably would have strode on by had we not known what hidden gems they are.

Like having your own personal tour guide

I loved this app whilst on holiday in NYC. it allowed me to store all of the sites I wanted to visit as favourites on the map. Best part was that using off line you could see where you were in relation to any places, including using public restrooms. It was like having Eric sat in my shoulder leading us around. Subway map was indispensable. An excellent app that I recommend for anyone going to this fabulous city,

AMAZING

Having just got back from New York this app is a must have if you are traveling to NY, myself and my son found the map invaluable as it worked off line...we would literally have been lost in New York without it !! There is some great tips on the website too which is were I booked my return travel to the airport for only £32. The diner that is recommended is amazing too.....Westway diner, amazing food at a great price.

An absolute must for any nyc traveller

I downloaded this app after booking our first trip to New York and right from the start loved exploring all the adventures that we could have while we toured the city and this app gave us everything and more.

we booked Knick’s tickets for the whole family and a dinner boat along the Hudson on the bateaux which aloud us to see the sights at night the subway was made easy to use with the maps available at the touch of a button, but the most useful tool of all which we used numerous times was the off line maps where when we were hopelessly lost came to aid to allow us to carry on with our sight seeing.

Just Amazing

What an absolute brilliant app. First time to New York and this app made it seem like we were locals.

The biggest concern with finding our way around New York was the massive data bill we would have got using Google Maps and searching the internet for places to visit. Eric’s App solves all this for us. Simply download to use in offline mode and Bingo! NO data charges. A must have app as it shows all the best places to visit, has a search mode and shows an overlay of the Subway to make getting around so easy.

We can’t thank you enough Eric for creating this amazing app.

Brilliant guide to New York

As we wanted to walk and use the subway as much as possible, this guide was excellent. The fact you can use it offline was really useful and to have the subway stations overlaid made travelling around really easy.

If you are a senior, take your passport and show it when purchasing subway tickets. It costs $2.75 for a return trip anywhere, which is half price. It actually works as two single tickets as it doesn’t check where you depart the train. So, for example, you can go from 42nd Street to the World Trade Centre, walk to the Staton Island Ferry and get the subway to Columbus Circle and walk around Central Park.

Highly recommend this App.
