I got Kahoot about 8 months ago and when my dad signed up for a subscription, I drafted a quiz and attempted to publish it but it told me that I needed to purchase the subscription AGAIN. Awful decision if you ask me.

Both Pros & cons
As a person who doesn’t have a lot of time at home to study, this app makes life so much easier and educational game me and friends play for fun. To play, laugh, learn.
In my opinion This app isn’t just to educate. Personally quizzes in my opinion are so fun.
If it wasn’t for this app half of Mh classes at school would be so boring.
All though my cons of this app is the lack of knowing people’s personal lives, yes people can make their own kahoots (quizzes) but a lot of people can’t be bothered. So not having quizzes that everyone can have an answer to is quite hard. If they had a list of things for you to awnser before hand would be so much easier and if u didn’t want to there could be a “skip” button.
Just stating my ideas, hope this helps…

BEWARE of upgrading
Be very careful about upgrading to paid version of this app. We (a family not a school) paid to upgrade Kahoot! to extend the options we had, unfortunately the game play didn’t go as expected so I tried to cancel within the trial period, had some tech issues and ended up being charged £149. Apple rejected a refund, they do not allow you to speak to a human directly they just shut the door on you. I then contacted Kahoot! and not even the curtesy of a response. £149 is so much money, we haven’t touched the app since that evening. Apple and Kahoot! don’t care about their customers in situations like this, so be careful.
A Kahoot developer has just responded to this review to say “contact apple directly”. That was the first thing I did (as already stated, in the review). Reply to review is just a checkbox exercise.

I have a kids account?
The app is really good beyond this. I am 13 and it is forcing me to have a kids account. I know that I am still technically a child, but I think that kids who are 12 and over have the adults version. On the kids one, you can barely do anything! I wanted to create a quiz for my friends and family on Christmas but cannot. Loads of other stuff is restricted on the kids account too. Please make 12 and above when you get a normal account.

I like the quizzes but I can’t uninstall Kahoot kids, I deleted my account, talked to your AI Robyn. She is the worst part. I kept asking where the settings tab was and she kept giving me stuff not related to it. She is rubbish and when I said she was making me mad she just ignored me and when I called her selfish or tell her she is bad she just says, sOrrY If I aM nO hELp. Trash AI and I haven’t got any help and I am on the edge for deleting the app forever. I just got this app 40 minutes ago and it has ruined my day. This app is good, and has amazing features, but it is so broken. It is swapping my answers from question to question, changing the correct answer, making answers go to the middle of the screen and more. This is incredibly frustrating when I am trying to make a good quiz. Also, the app has made everything paid for, which has put me off as I can barely do anything. It is a decent app though.

There’s no apps like… Kahoot! I would recommend this app but I really think that there should be quizzzes to do like “are you this or that”. I love doing things like that much more than quizzes like “do you know the animals”. But yeah, omg I recommend. Bye!!

There begging me to get premium
Before everything was fine I could make kahoots easily with no fuss. Use good images from kahoot’s own images and more stuff like that. I was excited about kahoot’s new question things but then I noticed that u have to get study max feature or something like that. And now i can’t even use images for kahoot and show all the new question types just to make me buy it. i just want to use it for free and now they restricting my capabilities for making a kahoot. So please just give people who just want to use it for free a little more freedom

It is really good and I do recommend getting it but it was really annoying for me to log in and I didn’t really understand how to log in. That doesn’t really matter though because you can play without logging in. Also I thing they should add more trivia quizzes to the home page instead of just putting school quizzes on there.

Always have to use this in school
This is a good app, in my opinion it’s fun to use in school and we do Kahoot! Alot in class, I don’t really do them at home bc I think its better to do with a lot of people in my opinion. I enjoy doing Kahoot! In class and it’s a laugh or everyone. The app is a great idea and very well made. There’s a great variety of ready made quizzes but I like how you can also made your own, fun for school but don’t get much use of it at home but definitely a great game!

I seriously love Kahoot!. The quizzes in it and education partners are actually providing a real learning experience and acedemic record. I am also surprised that there are no adverts that distract me so I can keep answering questions freely. The study feature is also great because it can help you practice the difficult question you’re struggling with. I also like the way you made a cool merchandise with mugs, bags, t-shirts etc. so people know that you are a Kahoot! fan. Don’t waste your time and download Kahoot! today.

I think that with the plans, there should be at least a permanent option for each plan, people including me may be picky about subscriptions, so having an option for a permanent plan would be very helpful, other then that, it’s a great app!

Cancellation
My son has asked me today to download the app and also to be able to use it on his computer. I have agreed to do 7 day free trial and we needed to give the credit card details for it. I have realize that I want to cancel it and imagine my surprise that after few hours after registration you are unable to do it!!!
There is no possibility to speak to the person automatically transfer to Robyn chatbot with no help at all.
The company is sending standard info how to cancel which is not relevant at all as it doesn’t allow you to into the details as you should be able to do according to them. When you go to settings there is no option to manage user or team settings as it only allows you to go to

Kahoot is an extraordinary app!! I can create fun and entertaining quizzes and trivia’s for all my family to enjoy, they cause fun and laughter and I can’t get enough of the app! You can make your own quiz or pick a ready made one! There are TONS!!! Education ones to improve your knowledge in a certain area, or fun ones for friends to enjoy! It’s a really useful app and I have had such a positive experience, so clever and efficient and I recommend to ALL!! I tried to think of something to improve, but I just can’t!! This game is quite good and we play it for school when we do live school (which I hate lol) and it’s really good when we all play it together but I was just playing to get emotes and I was playing a frozen quiz and one of the questions was “what is Elsa’s sister called? And the answers were Andrea, Anna Adrianna, or Ana and obviously I pressed Anna but it said it was wrong so I went in the quiz again and it kept saying it was wrong then I looked it up and it said that it was spelt Anna please fix this there are also some other questions that were wrong too. :/ so I rate 4 stars if you fix I rate 5 :)

Really Rubbish App- Time Waster and Money Waster 😡😡😡😡
I got this app to play with family during the lockdown thinking it would be fun. It worked really well at first. But this is just a trick of this rubbish time waster (I wouldn’t even call it an app).
Just yesterday, (15th Jan 2021) I was playing with family when the app failed to start loading. Searched it up on Google as to why it’s not working. The ‘developer response’ said that your connection may be down. Every single app on my iPad works, so why won’t this?? 😡
Tried again today (16th Jan 2021) and it’s still not allowing me to host a live game.
Stopped working for me and my sister said it’s not working in her device too.
Don’t waste your time, don’t waste your money.

Great app but needs to be on same level as website
It’s great to have this app on your phone , but looks like the website has more features than the app . Also , seeing only 5 teams on leaderboard is a bit confusing for others , it would be great if we can see all the teams or more than 5 teams at least. But overall Kahoot is great over its other competitors, it has huge quiz data fed already , so you can use those templates directly .

This game used to be fun and their were different quizzes for example minecraft fortnite but now theirs not 😥😥 all you can now do is educational quizzes. Something that’s sad though I’ve had this game since yr7 and me and my friends would do gaming quizzes we all have moved on and we deleted Kahoot but today I downloaded it to see if you could do gaming quizzes again but no. Well I love this game but I wanted to play with my friends and I wanted them to see the screen but thats only on computer I’m sad made i really fun KAHOOT but it got ruined because the way I wanted to be was Only on computer. This game is fun but I really wish they add the computer futures to the iPad and phone!

I love this game but you need to put in your email to make an account to use the good stuff to make quizzes, or even to make quizzes! Also you have to put in your password for your email but that is so irrational and random that it leads me to think that you will hack onto my email. Please change the way to set up an account.

Why I rate Kahoot 5 stars
Kahoot is a fun way for learning and playing games with family. It is a good brain break at school that teachers will use to get children’s brain working and having fun. Enjoyable for all ages! Kahoot in my opinion is the best quiz app that’s out there! So download today and get your brain working with family and friends!!

I love this app! We played it at school, and I also love getting apps, so I got it. It is amazing! I think it’s great how you can get images from Getty Images. Although maybe you could make it so I can see the question on my screen instead of colours, and also I can’t play it as well as hosting, which means if I’m video chatting with my friends, I need 3 devices just to talk, play and host. It would be great if you fixed this. Other than that? U would recommend this app.

Frustrating
This is such a good idea for our weekly family quiz but I can’t even get my head around it let alone my 75 year old dad!
I have spent time making the quiz and then shared it with my dad to test it and it says shared successfully but despite pressing 5 times, nothing has reached my dad.
I have no idea where to generate a pin either.
Adding the questions is easy enough but the rest of it...? It could be made so much more user friendly... So unfortunately... I’m giving up!

Disgusting service
I’ve used Kahoot in the past many times with work and thought the solution would be excellent. I intended to download and try it for free. After signing up and trying it for an afternoon, I cancelled my subscription. I was surprised to be billed £120. I thought this was a mistake and contacted Kahoot for a refund. After over two weeks and a few emails, I have had NO contact whatsoever. I fear they have taken my money and run like cowboys. Do not use Kahoot

Don’t use unless your all in the same room together
Such a shame, I spent 6 hours creating a quiz to share with friends on Friday night only to discover that the participants can only view the coloured boxes and NOT the questions, pictures, videos or anything! So for this to work I would host and read out the questions, read out the answers, explain which answers fit in which boxes and have 20 seconds to do this in! Surely this is an easy fix and would make a massive difference to this experience.

Dreadful lack of user friendliness online
Just hosted my first Kahoot after 3 weeks of building a game, with 100 questions and pictures. The questions, answers and pictures, DON’T show on the app for the players, so every question and multiple choice answers have to be read out. The help file explains how to play online but completely fails to mention what a torturous experience it is. Might be good for classrooms or sitting beside people, but completely useless for online multiplayer games.

Disappointing
It looks like a great app and I thought it would give me and my friends something to do during lockdown, creating quizzes for each other but I made a quiz and added all the pictures and did everything right but the app won’t let me save it as an actual quiz and not a draft. It keeps saying image upload fail (error 0) and I’m very confused. I just wanted a fun app that we could do together and enjoy but it just won’t work at all

Relies on shared screen
Really disappointed with the app. During the covid19 pandemic, I wanted a way to create a game and then get my friends to participate each in our own home/city/country so we could keep ourselves entertained and busy. But the app only allows you to host a quiz that relies on a shared screen. The participants don’t see the answers on their device, only the corresponding colour and shape. This is a ridiculous flaw and one you should change. There should be an option to play the quiz without a shared screen and that the people playing see the answers on their phones.
Otherwise this would be a great app. Such a shame. I’ll come back when you sort it out.

Great app!!!
I think this app is amazing to play with friends and a great help with homework! But recently there has been a new update where you can't create or host your own quizzes without paying a lot. 😔It actually says on the app that you should be able to host your own quiz without premium or pro or plus whereas when you try and host it it asks for you to pay s lot for plus or pro or premium and i just think its ridiculous. You spend ages making a quiz and then it asks for you to pay when already read that you don't actually have to. Its just so confusing and unclear as they also then say that you need to making a new kahoot quiz because you apparently don't have any in your account!! Whyyyy is it so complicated???!!!! Other than all that its an ok app??😔

Brilliant but
Kahoot ticks all the boxes. It is fun and education. Gosh in class when we all play it turns into mayhem. However, I’ve noticed on the app when I host a Kahoot, the screen is always behind the players so it shows the answers on their devices but on my iPad it is showing the scores and takes like 10 seconds to realise that it hasn’t actually told the audience the question. If this were fixed I would rate it 5 stars!

Great app but...
I love this app, my teachers love it for learning too but sadly there is a HUUGGEE downfall and I have seen it in a lot of other reviews and that is it is a bbiiggg battery drainer I went from 100% to 26% in halve an hour and that was unbelievable!! I’m quite disappointed and I would 100% rate this a five if this were to be fixed

This app is great but...
I play on this app all the time at school. Honestly, I have read through some reviews and some of them are true. I have experienced battery loss (iPhone 7) but not to an extreme. I have also noticed that whenever I play on iPhone that the screen tends to go down (darkness) whenever I play, and it not on low power mode. On iPad this feature is okay. Other than this, the app is great and has so many fun and educational games to play.

Misleading account information
Difficult to get a consistent message about pricing and accounts. Website, AppStore and App all say varying versions of the truth....poor effort from the developers.
I created a personal basic plan, but not cannot choose and host a quiz with a couple of friends. The website version will not let me move pass the plan selector page.
Have used as a guest and audience member before and was thoroughly impressed. Now trying to host and it’s shambolic. Business and Personal all seems to be interwoven and unclear.

This a great app!
I find this app very helpful with revision, as it makes it fun and memorable. Not only that, but it’s also good for just playing with friends.
Also, if you do get the app remember to make your own Kahoots, as it is really fun.

Great app, HUGE BATTERY DRAINER
While I have to say this app is great to use 52% of my battery power (iPhone 7+) in 40minutes is absolutely shocking....
needs to be sorted out ASAP!
I check battery usage in the battery section of my setting app was only installed 5 mins due to playing...
