LOVE IT SOOO MUCH
This app is such a great thing for me because sometimes I forget what I do in the week and end up doing the same thing, but now I can go back on to the app to see what I did and my transitions. This app is also very detailed just wished I could pay every year sadly I can’t as it’s to much as I’m only young, download this app if you want a better experience with your horse and have some more fun with your equestrian friends!!

Best app ever
Always works no internet or not. I used to not be a premium subscriber and it was fine but now I’ve got premium it’s better but not so much that you can’t live without. I think it’s a great app and allows me to track my horses fitness easily and without hassle I love the trading coach and it’s great planning out my rides before and tracking myself when I ride out. I also find safety tracking so good it always makes me feel safe!

really, really good app! ive used the app for about 3 years now and ive found its really helpful if you want to track times, distance, etc. however, theres not alot you can do any more without premium
the first thing is how many horses you can have. ive had mutiple horses in the past, and ive got three at home right now. i managed to glitch it by turning of my data and adding an extra horse but it still wont let me use it. 3 of my horses are unusable and i can only use 3( only one of the three is being ridden) could you just make it so free users can have unlimited horses? please?
the second thing is challenges. i used to love doing the challenges because it motivated me to do more when i ride. but i could only do a few and then i couldnt do any more because i needed premium 😕could you make some challenges free and some just for premium?
im not at all saying this is a terrible app and you shouldnt get it, but its not really suited to people with many horses UNLESS you have premium, which is a real shame. please consider my ideas because i think everyone using the app for free would like these changes!

Great, but be warned - everything is extra...
I started using this about 2/3 years ago. I trained my horse and got a lot of good info. Then I got bombarded with “free upgrades” which weren’t - they were £12.99 month. £12.99 per month buys a bag of feed for my horse - and I know which is more beneficial.. For the first year I could review every ride, where I’d been, topography etc - it was brilliant. THEN because I didn’t upgrade all my history became inaccessible - 2 effing years & more than 500 miles! UNLESS I upgrade. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have started. My advice is to switch to one of the many free trackers BIKE, WALKING etc and swerve this APP. Instead of allowing history free (I’m not interested in kJ used, transitions etc and any serious rider wouldn’t either) all I want is which horse, where I’ve been and when I did it - simple! Then, I recommend it to my mates, of which some would take the premium option - instead I don’t, and my advice is you shouldn’t bother either.

Great App-Shame about the increased cost
I really like this app. Especially the detailed info of gait, transitions and speed but the increased monthly cost is just too expensive which means I’ve cancelled my subscription.
Such a shame as I had always recommended it to other riders.

Can’t upload horse and can’t submit a help ticket
I have never had premium or a free trial and have always had 5 horses in my register. Today I was unable to add my current horse to my ride even though I was able to use her yesterday: I have since deleted 2 of my horses and I am still unable to add her without upgrading to premium
Why has this now only just become an issue?

Not working
Accepted the free trial but it does not work. Just comes up with a blank screen. Could not use when required. Have tried deleting and reinstalling but still just comes up with blank screen. Useless and very disappointing !

Brilliant app
I have been using this app now for a few years and I got excited when u started to do the challenges.
The first few were really good but sadly now unless if you pay for the premium you only get a choice of one challenge.
Like most horse owners at the moment in the uk we are feeling the cost of horse ownership and sadly a month subscription is a bag of horse feed a month.
Please give the users who don’t pay for the subscription more choice, other that fab app I can keep track of my miles and my ponies fitness and from my Apple Watch

Good app but very clunky
I use this app daily, but it does fail often. I start it through my Apple Watch and it will regularly freeze. I update it, delete it and restart it, and still have intermittent issues. If this didn’t happen so often I would give it 4 or 5 stars but unfortunately because it isn’t reliable I’m not willing to give it more.
It’s new thing is saying it has GPS connection issues, when my routes haven’t changed and neither has my network.

This app has crashed on me twice - page goes blank so you can’t end a ride. I rode this morning and the app is still running - I can’t stop it so apparently I have been out for over 6 hours now!! I’ve even started another ride, ended and deleted that but this morning’s is still tracking away! So much for hitting my August targets😕This also happened to my friend so she deleted it and now uses Horse Riding Tracker which I am about to do.

Should be more for people who don’t want to pay
I think this app is great but there is barely anything for people who don’t want to pay that much per month or week or year because there is not much stuff and you can only have one horse and I have two so I have to use the same horse on the same horse and it is very confusing, so I think there should be more for people who don’t want to pay this. It is amazing but everything I click on. It says free trial and I don’t want a free trial because I don’t like free trials because every time we click on it, you get the free trial and then it’s great and amazing like this app is because my friend has it on the has paid for it and it’s amazing for her as she has everything and it’s great, but I think there should just be a little bit more than there is for the people who don’t want to do that stuff. Temperamental app!
Great while it’s working! But I lost a year’s worth of recorded rides when it made my iPhone screen “freeze”. Had to delete the app, was the only way of sorting it. Was just starting out again and same thing happened. Was using free version; this doesn’t encourage me to buy the Premier version. Also it frequently confuses tritvwirh canter. Disappointed.

Who on Earth is paying £110 for the “premium” features? The free version has always done everything I need, but if premium was a more reasonable price I’d pay to support the product. If you charged £29.99 for a year I’m sure at least 4x as many people would buy it.

Best app ever
I can always stay safe out hacking and can look back and learn a course or a test, and I can redo the routes that I enjoy out hacking!!!!! I think the people who don’t have premium, should be able to do a little more, but other than that, really easy to use, even got my horse to start a ride for me it’s that easy! Love this app highly recommended xx

I love this app, so easy to use. My main criticism would be that the safety tracking is a premium feature. I understand the need to get money from premium users, but to encourage safety then state “sorry you have to pay for this safety feature” beats me.

Love this app but missing friend links….
Would be great to be able to link your ride to friends who have the app when we are hacking out together. Friends battery died so lost her tracking half way round. Strava offer tag a friend, can we have same please Equilab. Would be used frequently and means only one person has to track, saving battery of another phone to use in an emergency.

Fantastic for safety tracking! Absolutely love being able to record my schooling session as well as gallop and hack work!
The only thing is it would be lovely to have an option to but down 2 x horse as I ride and lead alot for another horse to be record on the same ride. I know it can be entered manually. But nonetheless absolutely amazing app! Who ever thought of it is a genius!

Every time I put on the safety feature when riding alone I get back to cancel it to be told it has stopped due to other things being open on my phone! I don’t use my phone bar the app so don’t see why this keeps happening really unsafe if I did fall off! Cancelled my subscription:(

Great but won’t work with Apple Watch anymore
I really do like this app to track training sessions with my horse but the app has stopped working with my Apple Watch. It used to work and was so much easier to press go on the watch rather than get my phone out of my pocket. There is nothing wrong with my phone or watch so it is definitely the app. Could this issue be looked into and rectified please so that I can then give the app five stars.

Doesn’t track rides properly
Equilab doesn’t work in my opinion.
I just went on a ride for 1hr45 and manually times the trot, walk and canter, as I’ve not been happy with Equilab’s data, and low and behold I was right. The app isn’t properly calculating canter and Trot. On my last ride it said I did 1hr20 of walk and 20 mins of trot and 5 mins of canter which is utter rubbish. It was more like 30 mins of canter, 45 mins of trot! I have my phone in my breeches to track properly. So the app doesn’t work and is not worth signing up to. Really disappointed

Very glitchy
Downloaded this app a few days ago and manually entered a few rides from the past week, when i re opened the app later on that day the rides and farrier visits had disappeared. I re-entered them and they didn’t show up. So I deleted the app, re-downloaded and all the rides came up but every time i try to click on one the app just crashes! Don’t know what’s going on. App has amazing potential , hope someone can help me get it working!

Brilliant App!
Equilab is such a good app to keep track of everything going on with your horse. It tracks your trainings, how much walk, trot + canter you’ve done, you’re horses strides and both your energy. You can rate how well you think you’ve both done as well and it’s just so good to keep track of what you’ve been doing.
You can also manage all your horsey appointments such as the vet or farrier by putting it in the Equilab diary which is super helpful or you can record when they’ve been off work as well.

Ok but distances are wrong
The gait and turn tracking is amazing. So if the transitions but the fact the gps tracker is out by at least a mile each ride sometimes a lot more is frustrating and mean most results will be incorrect. Tried contacting them about this but have no response. Now track distances by more reliable means.

No idea how I ever lived without it!
Absolutely fantastic app, keep a very accurate track of your ride, whether it be out hacking or in the arena. Connects to Apple Watch so can keep an eye on how long you have been riding without having to fumble about in your pocket for your phone. Tried other apps in the past but they were never up to much, inaccurate and not user friendly. This app is however, amazing! So easy to set up and use. I have been using this app everyday since I first downloaded it nearly a year ago!

I have previously tried several different horse/pony gait trackers which showed me where I had gone and the horses pace but never have given me a calendar, or an ability to chose the stable you have your horse kept at or profile pictures or anything that Equilab has! Great app, One problem
I have had this app for about a year now and I love it, the only problem is I noticed when I sold my old horse and bought another one, I couldn’t change the profile picture as anytime I did change it the photo was super zoomed in. I had no problems with the app before and I didn’t delete it or anything. So if you could fix that it would be great! Edit: Thanks for response will be looking forward to next update!

Please add a pause button!
It would be extremely handy if you could add a pause button so I don’t have to split my trainings in half if I happen to get off during the ride.
Think of people on trails, when they take breaks it would be great if they can pause it so when they get back on they can carry on from where they left off.

Great app for the phone but my daughter doesn’t like the idea of having her phone on her or attached to her when riding. It would be perfect to be able to collect data eg GPS, health activity from the watch app like other apps do for example Runtastic, Nike etc. Thanks

Great App!!
I love this app! I use it every time I ride my horses! It has given me the “get up and go riding” feeling that I lost over winter! Even though I just hack and don’t compete my horses, it’s really helped me get my cob fit and healthy by knowing how long I’ve been in each gait!

Fantastic app
This is fantastic. Great for all levels of rider who want to track their riding performance, take notes on their session and the added bonus of GPS when out hacking! I love seeing how long I have spent in each gait and how hard I have really worked, compare to how hard I think I’ve worked! Highly recommend!

Equilab has transformed my training schedule. Route mapping and timings spot on. Pace recognition pretty good too. It just gets a bit addictive - got to get my miles in! Just started with this App! And so far pretty impressed. Would be useful if you could have an analysis of % time worked on each rain as I do have a habit of favouring one over the other. Love how it also connects with my Apple Watch! And how you can upload profiles! Would be great if this was a bit more comprehensive I.e allowing you to store membership and competition data for affiliated dressage, Showjumping and Eventing etc. Unique App!! Can’t wait to see where it goes! 👍🏻

Crashing Every Ride
I have been using this app for a while and been tracking my rides for #hack1000miles, but as of late it’s crashing when I have only gone about 2 miles. I find it very frustrating as I have to then guess my mileage. It crashed again on Sunday when I did a pleasure ride, fortunately a friend was tracking the ride with a different app so I was able to get the miles we covered. Can it be fixed please?

Love it!
Such a good app and I barely ride without it now! So good to keep track and I love being able to add notes so I can easily review the sessions I’ve done.
One thing i think would be really cool, is if you could ‘play’ your ride back, like from start to finish follow the GPS and as it changes colours through the gaits.
Love the app though and have been recommending to all horsey friends!

Lunging.
Love love love this app! Allows me to know what I’m doing and how it’s benefitting me and my horse. Such a great app and I would/have recommend to lots of people. I used it whilst lunging my horse the other day, and it gave me a very inaccurate scale? I had it in my pocket running active the whole time? Said I was walking for 20 mins? I did a lot of canter and trot work with my horse. How do I fix this or am I doing anything wrong ?

Good idea but poorly executed
I was really excited about this app but it’s a bit frustrating when using it for schooling/flatwork. I’ll do a 45 min session, mostly in trot and canter and by the end it tells me I’ve only done 3 mins canter, 7 mins trot and all the rest walk?
If this could get improved I’d use it so much more but now i will only use it for hacking to track and time myself.

Doesn’t work properly
I think the idea of this app is fantastic. But some things just don’t add up. 14mph trot on a 12.2 pony... but only 12mph canter :/ just some little bits that need tweaking. I trot around the whole woods and it was tells me it was all in walk! 🤔 same as lunging. A 20 min lunge session all in walk? At like 6 mph. Surely that should class as a trot 🤔not sure how the app works to calculate but surely speed should be something to do with it 🤔🤷♀️ also says 24 mins lunge. But only accounts for 11 mins of walk. So what was we doing that other 13 mins 🤔

Very useful!
Very useful app, although it seems to get a bit confused by things like turn on the forehand (not surprising).
It’d be great if there could be a lock-screen timer on a future version, so that you can quickly check how long you’ve been riding for (and get a reminder that you need to tell it you’ve finished riding, coff).

Amazing app BUT Crashing constantly
This app has been amazing for me, I’ve been using it all the time. But I can no longer open the app as it crashes all the time, I get the Equilab logo on my screen, takes ages to load but crashes before the home screen can even open. I’ve updated the app and my phone but nothing is working. This is unfortunate as I love the app! (Not deleting the app, just waiting for an update)

Great app
really good free app. Usually pretty spot on with the accuracy if im walking trotting or cantering. (Sometimes doesnt quite get exactly when i starting cantering) It tracks location really well and i like that i can see all my horses info on the app 👍

Great potential
This app is amazing! I love keeping track of the work I do with my horse however it’s not ideal for when I’m riding in an indoor arena as the GPS signal doesn’t manage very well and freaks out a bit.
Definitely has so much potential to become an essential for every equestrian!

Could be so much more
I have a racing yard and with this app yes... I can add individual horses to each rider but it would be so much easier if I could just add riders to my stable where they have access to tap the correct horse there riding each lot it would save so much hassle .

Crashing! ☹️
Brilliant app however I can no longer open it as it crashes still for me. I am aware of the update and I do have them but unfortunately no difference, also when trotting and cantering my horse it will register as wall sometimes? Hope you can fix this minor bug but a huge well done for making this app it’s incredible

I love this app, only a couple of things that could be improved, want to be able to share trainings to fb which would definitely increase the number of app downloads.

Fantastic app!
Very useful to keep track of what I'm doing with my horse and how much he's doing in our flatwork training. Only problem I've found is that the gaits are not accurate at all for me and doesn't record when my horse is trotting or cantering. Apart from this fantastic app that I hope stays add free!
