Keeps freezing and can’t see weapon bar
I like this game but it’s really buggy on an iPhone XR. The game regularly freezes and you can’t move. The game also isn’t optimised for the screen properly and you have to scroll to see all of the side bar. Please update to fix. Thanks

Great game, missing features.
It makes it 10x less enjoyable without endless mode. I’d play for much longer if it were to be added like on the pc version. Surly can’t be difficult to add?

Multiplayer would be great!
I love this game and own it on two systems(my phone + PC). On PC I have the multiplayer version, but on heat there is no substitute. I think multiplayer would well due to the fact everybody has there phone on them for most of the day. So if you were to see a friend on the bus you could both play the game together while waiting.

Poorly adapted for phone
The game itsself is amazing but the phone adaption has clunky controls and buggy item pickups along with screen freezes losing progress. The inclusion of an analog stick would he helpful.

Game freezes
I have seen this comment in reviews multiple times, there are a couple of things that cause the game to freeze, an example being unequiping a sail to change it or move it to a new boat. Please Klei sort this out its a major blemish on a great game

Love the game but...
It’s stopped working! I was in the middle of playing and then it suddenly stopped working! It literally won’t let me click play or anything. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app but it still doesn’t work. Please fix it!

Good game but one thing.
The game from what little I have played and seen seems pretty good and also difficult in some respects however the only thing I dislike is the lack of a no sweat game mode and the lesser world alterations made available to us. For me personally I always preferred the no sweat as it allowed me to get used to the world and items a pity it’s not here but as stated other wise good.

Please add No sweat...
So when I started playing don’t starve pocket edition shipwrecked I found out that there was no “No sweat” or classic gameplay choice... and that really bugs me... because I’ve died hundreds upon hundreds of times... I understand that shipwrecked would be hard to add a respawn system to... but mabye you could add a statue on every island that you have to touch to respawn from that particular statue... please Klei, please... Otherwise mabye you should make the meat effigies cheaper to make... But nevertheless it’s a great game :) and challenging too! Definitely worth the £4.99 especially if you want a huge challenge!

IPhone XS Max black bars
An update which suppose to fix iPhone XS layout made it worse, added three black bars along sides and bottom of the screen. Previous version which was full screen was perfect, there is no need to add bars, instead keep camera notch on the right hand side so it doesn’t cover toolbar. It actually looks now like game is not optimised for iPhone XS:-( Please at least add toggle option in the menu to allow full screen on iPhone XS Max and probably X and XS as well. Happy to change rating to 5 stars after this option is added.

Best game on iPad
Since the latest update (where all the new items were introduced) I’ve encountered a few bugs/ errors whilst playing:
Wilbur disappears whilst running in certain directions
Sea walls are invisible
The crocodogs make no sound
Can you please add something similar to the geometric placement mod? Being able to align what I’ve built would make me want to play the game so much more

Please add a save game function
I’d probably give this game a 5 star review apart from the incredibly soul destroying fact that when you die you have to go all the way back to square one.
Yes there are items in the game that can revive you, but I’ve never got far enough to have the capability to build them.
It’s so disappointing that there is so much stuff available in the game that is just unachievable with the inability to keep going after death. I’d honestly pay a bit more for it!!!
It’s not like I’ve got a pc to play this on so I can hack the save games. It makes a potentially great game absolutely rubbish.
Please add the ability to have a restore point after death, please!

Amazing. Bugs though. Updates???
I’ve been playing this for weeks on end. Got quite good at it. But this app just isn’t being updated. Someone mentioned the freezing bug in June and that happens to me all the time. You can’t tap on anything, usually happens when you tap into your inventory/backpack. I either wait for the auto save, or if it gets dark before then, restart the app and lose all my progress. It happens all the time. If it gets dark before the auto save, I’d die. Other bugs include the dug up berry bush graphic, a really annoying bug where the top three slots of any open chest feature are cut off by the top of the screen - especially frustrating with the chest that the Yaarctopus gives you. The top slot is completely off screen and you literally have about a millimetre space to try and drag it down to see what’s there. Luckily the golden key is normally in the second slot down! But every time I open a normal chest and I need to drag something from the top slots, it kicks off the iOS drop down menu and then you can’t touch anything until that little iOS feature disappears.
At the moment, the game I’ve been playing for about a month has somehow bugged the shark/hound cycle - and whilst I shouldn’t complain too much, every time I hear them coming, only one arrives each time. Which is all good and well, but I like a good shark fin hat, and hounds teeth make the sewing kits I need - so it’s difficult to get those items with just one at a time. But at least they don’t mob me and kill me!
The playability of this game far outweighs these issues though. It is absolutely awesome and has eaten my life in a good way. The freezing up is by far the main issue here. The others I can live with. I hope there’s an update soon....?

Game pad support please!
Great expansion to an already great game. However the main Don't Starve has just had a patch for BT pad support so I don't understand why this one doesn't have it... would really like to use my iOS pad with this so will go five star when this gets added. Keep up the good work Klei! :) hope we get DS Together on mobile soon.

Reducing to three stars as I've noticed some glitchy controls e.g. Wilson will keep walking after I've let go of the v-stick and he'll keep performing actions and attacks after I've stopped pressing the button... very annoying so would appreciate a patch for this.

I have plaid Don't Starve on PS Vita and Playstation so very familiar with the game and experienced. Sadly found playing with touch screen device quiet slow! I have MAD CATZ controller for iPhone but sadly its not support! It would be top game if you could add the support!

Great game! Really tough!
Really addictive game, 4 attempts so far and 4 different things have killed me and the furthest I've got is day 7. Not had any problems with it crashing like other users but it does drain the battery rather! Few mins to load the start of a new game initially but so what. Every game is different and you learn so much from each experience as to how to survive better next time. Definitely worth the £3.99

This game hates me
I thought I was doing quite well, had an island full of resources, then I get bitten by a snake and die. Okay, try again, oh no I'm on fire. Start again, oh it's night time and I'm at sea and haven't got a light and now I'm dead.
10/10 would starve/be set on fire/be eaten by monsters in the dark again.

I've been patient through the updates, but it's still crashing out all the time. Finally got past the day 23 problems and now it crashes auto saving throughout summer (days ~55-60). Unplayable. So frustrating. Don't waste your cash, I feel robbed.

Great game, but needs a powerful iPad
V1.3... somehow got worse than before. I really want to like this app, but its terrible performance on an iPad Pro is a real problem. Please apply a hose to the code and give it the dynorod treatment.

Fixed Mate!
Totally sorted. Was well annoying before but it's faultless and lovely now. Been playing lots recently and hasn't randomly not let you select actions on the screen. Works perfectly.
Only downside is that if you quickly quit as you're dying, it won't let you begin that day again like in the normal Don't Starve 😜

Boring and unhelpful
I found this game seriously difficult as I got no tutorial. It was boring as all you do is run around an island looking for stuff that isn't there. It also takes way too long to load the island in. I DO NOT recommend this to anyone. I should have read the reviews. Get this fixed or I want my money back.
BTW, this game is not worth the money. £3.99 is way to much for a game that continually crashes.
Please take this in to consideration.

Keeps crashing on save
Crashes on save; generating worlds takes up to 5 minutes; some worlds don't have any useful items at all on the starter island so you're basically screwed. Good idea but needs a lot more work on the game engine.

Good game, badly flawed execution.
I like the actual game but there are two major problems. Firstly it takes about 4 minutes for the game to generate a map. This is completely ludicrous. It's not that huge or detailed. Random generation of some trees and rocks should take seconds. The worst problem is battery drain. On an iPhone 6 with a good condition battery, this game takes 50% of the battery in about 20 minutes and leaves it very hot to the touch. Nothing else has ever done this to this phone. I will not play this game again due to the risk of damaging the hardware. There must be some very lazy or poor coding in this game.

Crashes all the time
As others have said, this game is potentially great. It just crashes all the time. I've tried custom set ups with the lowest possible group configuration ... feels like this developer created an original game then tried to quickly cash-in on their with a rushed sequel which wasn't ready for release.

Great game, few fixes needed.
Game is great, is cheaper and more convenient to play than computer version but is much harder to navigate, joystick option should be included and an easier way to use the menu (including a way to use multiple items such as when eating or cooking) also I keep getting error screens popping up randomly in the game, please fix this asap as it ruins all progress.

Warnings
Every time it gets to day 3 it crashes and tells me to either do a forum or to quit all of my progress, i go on to the forum website and from then on i have no idea what to choose. It is a really good game apart from that specific let down.

Too much weather
I got to day 22 and went sailing for coral to make a chimney but on the way home it crashed provable because of the rain and lighting and wind all happening at once if it isn't fixed I can't get to my base on that world

Love this game, however...
This is one of the best games I have downloaded in a while. It has lots of hidden game play and change ups which means it's hard to get bored of this game. However, I got to day 5 and to my horror the game crashed. It has saved but whenever I go to play it it just crashes again. I have started a new game and I get the same error screen but after only a few days.
This game is awesome but considering the game cost £3.99 I'm pretty disappointed. The game needs an update and soon!
I would not recommend this game until the update has been fixed!

Good game but needs some fixes
So far I have got up to day 4 and cannot get any further. Every time I load the game I walk for about a minute and then it crashes and I get an error screen. I also have no other loads for this game so I have pretty much lost this save. This makes me hesitant to start a new game because it will be infuriating if I get further than 4 days and the game dies on me.
But it is a fun game just like the regular don't starve.

Klei always make the best
I like all klei made games and all of them are made to be good games.
I think it was well worth paying the money towards the game as you will get what you want out of it, but if you don't like survival games don't buy because that's essentially what this game is entirely based around.....-collecting food to not starve.

Won't even download
I bought the game with the intention of playing it. What I didn't expect is not being able to even load! If you like spending 3.99 on nothing, then this game is definitely for you! On the other hand I want a refund because with this price the quality should have been better. I wish there was a 0 star option because that's what this game deserves.

Awesome game (now my favourite on iOS) however needs an update to fix the crashing issues, I get warning signs popping up and I lose all my progress. Worth the buy though!
