Track the time you've been clean down to the second. The tracker updates in real time and you can see the seconds, minutes, hours and days tick by. With over 10 unique display modes - from total days to breaths - pick one that shows what's important to you.

Sober Time helps you stay motivated and inspired by showing daily inspirational messages and setting realistic, achievable goals for you. stopped using because of ads

I used this app for years over several phones because it was beautiful, simple, worked well, and did not have pop up ads. Now it has pop up ads, which is unbelievably infuriating and not something that helps me when I'm in a vulnerable state (such as a time when I need to use a sobriety app!) I will be switching to a something else.

I think this is a good app. I am however disappointed by the inappropriate adverts on the free version. Gambling sites etc. You’re providing support to addicts, whilst promoting alternative addictions.

Great for getting sober

Allows you to track how much your not spending on alcohol. Create a sense of accomplishment and helps keep you focused on your goal. Also it’s free just has a few ads but is no biggie.

Gambling pop ups!

I realise to make free apps work you need some advertising but the gambling pop up ads on this app are horrible and relentless. Gambling and alcoholism go hand in hand. I don’t gamble and won’t gamble but for people who do it’s very dangerous to advertise on here. For me I just can’t be doing with it. I just wanted a nice app to monitor my drinking. I will stick with dry January and delete this.

Awesome tracker

I love this tracker app, has a brilliant clock to show how far you’ve come, a journal to help capture the day whilst reflecting your mood with a slide scale, and motivational quotes each morning to help nudge you along in the right direction. I’ve bought the full premium app which also allows further features.

Contacts are available through the app for contacting a sponsor too, which came in very handy when I had a wobble in October (it’s now January) which helped me to regroup and refocus.

I’m currently 20 plus years on my sobriety journey, and I wish things like this were available back then. Happily they are now, and I strongly urge you to at least give the free version a go if you’re just starting out for the first time, climbing back on after a relapse or are a long timer like me. Seeing those numbers climbing on the timer counter really do help, as does the journal.

Very Frustrated

This was one of my favourite apps, however, upon getting a new iPhone it has completely stopped working for me!

1) it will not allow me to sign in with my email address and does not send out links to update password.

2) as a result of not being able to sign in, it has not acknowledged my former premium payment, so am having to watch the annoying adverts.

3) when trying to purchase again - reluctantly after I have already purchased it - it crashes and will not even allow me to upgrade, so am stuck!!

Have tried to email developer but again, it crashes when trying to get to the contact details. Very poor.

Found this app v useful. Didn’t want to quit drinking completely but was becoming more and more aware of the negative effect of alcohol in my life. Have only been using it for a month, already I’m having more dry days in a week than not. And just done my first 3 days in a row. Sleep has improved enormously.

If you want to stop drinking having other people support you is brilliant. I think of myself as someone who drinks too much as opposed to being an alcoholic. I’ve always known I’d be happier if I didn’t drink. So this is great for me as the community is full of people who are all on their own alcohol free journey. It gives out positive messages each day and gives a reminder on how well your doing. If I ever feel like slipping up I remember who I don’t want to push the restart button. I’ve not had any problems with this app so far

Do you want to focus on what you’re missing?

This is great if you want to measure and be continually reminded you are denying yourself something.

An alternative is to change “I’m not going to indulge again” thinking, with “thank god I don’t have to indulge again” thinking.

This app, by focusing you on your abstinence, is going to keep the substance you wish to avoid front and centre of your thinking. Not sure that helps overcome the addiction.

Clear and Simple app for tracking clean/sober time. I like the different wallpapers and meditations all on one screen. Developer was very helpful went app went down post Apple update, back up and running in 3 days. Less clinical feel than others

Update reset my progress

I really liked this app and found it really helpful until I installed the update today and it completely reset my progress. Luckily I was able to remember my start date and set a new one up but when you rely on the tracker to keep you going the anxiety of it resetting on you isn’t very helpful

Alcohol Addiction

I love this app. I’ve been in and out of AA for years trying to quit. I use this app daily to remind myself how horrendous my life had become using Alcohol. One day won is far far better than another day one, love it.

Unless you have had an addiction I don’t feel anyone understands the enormity of the hold it has over your life and the destruction it causes.

There is not much help out their folks so use anything that works for you even if it only helps a little it’s a start. Good luck and thanks for the app.

Best sober app

Really great App - and I’ve tried them all I think. Motivational quotes are actually really good, not trite at all. The sober forum is just amazing - a place to talk to other people going through the same thing with no fear of judgement and tonnes of support. And the goals are spaced out along the timeline enough to really mean something whilst being close enough together to keep you motivated - and you WONT want to have to reset the tracker to Day 1!!!!
