It’s very difficult to remove your promo text from the share content when trying to share the transaction receipt. Give an option in settings to disable this.

Not able to get otp on my Uk number
It was first time opening an account on phonepe and as my Nro account is linked with uk number I was trying to make an account by uk number. However I tried regenerating otp/ tried having otp on call but no call was received.

Scam software - DO NOT USE
Use it at your own risk. In many cases you will not find a problem. However i have faced an issue couple of times when the payment goes into processing state and does not complete or fail. In these situations i had to settle by cash. PhonePe idiots completes the transaction after 2-3 days when you have no contact of the person and is paid in double. Phone pe customer service is a bunch of idiots who will keep on reassuring that payment is successfully credited to the receivers account, without even understanding the problem

Work with the UK number
Love this app is working with the UK number. I registered my NRE account with it. I try be that one is not working but payphone is working. Just finish my set up now. Will see what happened next.

A major bug
I found a major bug in the app which is not in other UPI apps. When i try to activate my UPI id by sending sms, the recipient number has the ISD code of foreign country. It should have the india’s ISD code. If you want, i can share the screenshot of that page. This makes the app unusable for any UPI payments.

Does not work with UK phone number
The app allows you to set up using an international phone number, it also pulls your NRE/NRO bank account details through the phone number, however it does not send an OTP when you try to activate the linked account. So unfortunately even though the app lets you register, you can’t really use the app to make or receive payments. I also couldn’t create any tickets through the help section of the app as there is no proper customer care once you have downloaded the app.

Horrible customer care service
The app is good as long as it works. But if you need any help then they just make you loop through their FAQ section. There is no direct way to file a complaint or support request.
My issue: I got a new phone which has two sims. One Indian number and one UK number. I am in India and trying to activate my UPI. To do this the app sends an sms. The problem is that by default the app is sending sms with the +44 code instead of +91 code. I also cannot manually change the code while sending the sms. And this is not an issue with my phone because I activated my UPI on other apps like Google Pay and BHIM using sms and they properly sent it using the +91 code.

Cannot register from UK. It asks me to enter UK mobile number, then to enter code. After many attempts no SMS code is ever received. Very poor.

NRI discrimination
To join PhonePe one needs to link the mobile number that is linked to the bank account which in turn is linked to PhonePe account. NRIs usually have their respective country’s mobile number linked to their NRO bank accounts. However PhonePe does not allow to set up account using a mobile number other than India mobile number. It is truly shame that when all different banks (SBI, Nationalised, Private and Co-operative) can work with non-Indian mobile numbers, why can’t PhonePe offer that facility? NRIs are unable to use the PhonePe facility which is otherwise a useful way of making UPI payments. PhonePe should change this asap.
