Excellent app, gives 3D position of planets and, more interestingly, satellites orbiting the earth.
Downside is that the news messages can't be retrieved in the app. At least I can't find them!!

This game is just impeccable and has no downsides, I absolutely adore this amazing, incredibly addicting, educational wonderment of a game, Guess what, there are NO ADS and is arguably the BEST game in the UNIVERSE, you can get right up close to very unusual and rare finds that no one knows about, like far away moons and planets or up close to satellites and get their orbit too,This game just couldn’t get better , DOWNLOAD NOW as if your life depended on it!

I love this app so much. If there is an update, try adding more stuff to the app. For example, seeing the core, mantle, and crust of moons, more dwarf planets, more asteroids, more comets, adding planets that aren’t part of the Solar System, more suns, more GALAXIES, view limit as the Observable Universe, and more. I’m really looking forward to seeing that.

Wow. This is incredible.
Wow this is an amazing app, just what I needed to try to explain about the Solar System to a curious three year old. He understood that he could see the moon because it was relatively close and revolving around the Earth. He nether the less could not quite understand why the planets were hard to see without a powerful telescope and wanted to know what they looked like. This app demonstrates the size and position of each planet as it journeys around the sun. Each planet can also be examined closely showing its size, density, core and accompanying moons, as well as some really useful information. This will be an invaluable tool to help him learn about the Solar System and also hopefully trigger a lifetime of interest.

Very pretty but not great for education
The app is very pretty and polished, and very slick.
However, some of the facts are outdated or just flat-out incorrect (for instance Uranus' rings are very old, not recent, and the list of moons is incomplete).
I also don't like the fact that many distances and sizes are unnecessarily rounded, or given in unhelpful terms (as in, distance to the Sun - should be mean distance, or provide both the maximum and minimum).
Finally, the scales in the main view should be adjusted so they are at least proportionally correct. Each of the outer planets is around twice as far out as the previous, but the app shows the distance between each orbit as the same.
These may seem like pedantic grips, but incorrect information is worse than none at all, especially in an app aimed at children.

Previously brilliant. Now comes with glitches
What a shame this previously wonderful little app has been updated. One of the things I loved about it was how seemlessly the animation ran. It was beautifully smooth with not the slightest hint of a glitch. Alas, that is now a thing of the past. Previously worthy of a six out of five score, I now long for the thing that has been taken from me. What a shame.
Frustrated and disappointed, I cannot forget what it once was, so have now deleted it.

Solar walk
This program renders a beautiful view of our solar system *and* also an option for anaglyphic 3D glasses which are cheap to buy off Amazon.
The program works in two modes, the star system as it already is. Well this is a problem due to the distances between each planet body.
So a solution is to reduce the distance scale and make the planets *and* moons easy to locate from another.
Children really like this app and I always have it running on a 24” tablet at events organised by our local astronomy society.
