Disgusting

This game is awful. It is glitchy, the rebirths do not work hard the time, and the sound cuts off. There are adds after every single death and paying for rebirths is weekly. There are no hints and the line is completely memory based because the graphics and viewpoint are terrible. The only redeeming factor is the music but even that doesnt link up to some of the gameplay. Wouldnt recommend, negative stars if possible.

So disappointed

I used to love this game. So much potential but way to many issues. Firstly, too many adverts!!! I watch adverts more than I actually get to play? Secondly, the sound is constant turning off, I have to watch 50 adverts just to play a level only for there to be no sound. Or the guidance lines keep disappearing. Please fix these issues and I will actually purchase the game to remove the ads, but I can’t purchase a game that doesn’t work!

Amazing game but way too many adverts

The levels when you have them are amazing and the game layout is brilliant however I just want it to be like how it was a couple of years ago. We used to get at least (I think) eight levels free of any ads (to free trial) or gems to unlock them, but now I have 3 free levels and an ad every two seconds. To get rid of the ads it costs me £5.99, I understand the importance of getting money from the game through ads and money but come on.

The ads are getting way out of hand

Look I know it’s a cheap game and whatever and you just want to make fast money but ads after every single MOVEMENT is crazy. Ads to get the guide line, ads after dying, literally loading into the app and getting an advert. How do you expect people to play & enjoy a game with ads being rammed down our throats. Seriously it’s ridiculous. This issue really needs to be fixed. I respect that it’s a free game but you’re turning people away from this game because of the amount of ads.

Fun game but lots of bugs

I really enjoy playing this game, the music and graphics are beautiful but every time I crash in a level an ad plays and, annoyingly, after the ad has stopped playing and I can return to the game the music stops playing and sometimes the guidance line disappears and I can’t turn either back on so I would very much like to see this fixed, thank you

I am so happy this game is back with an update after 3 years 😊 I never deleted the game and still tried to play but it was so buggy but now I have played the new level I love it the music on this game never disappoints I am a little upset 2 of my songs I either paid real money for or the gold cubes has disappeared. I enjoyed them both so can I please have back dream of sky colour and despacito please 🙏 so glad it’s back hopefully more levels will be coming soon

Great but one problem

Personally I think this game is great, but every time I play mountains, the bird always steals my gem, so I can’t complete the level properly. I would really like this to be fixed. I have tried so many times but it is ridiculous that you can’t complete the game completely and this needs to be fixed

Great game ruined by ads

This used to be such a great game, now it’s ruined by ads to the point where it’s almost unplayable. If it were a few quid to buy I honestly would as the game concept itself is great, but the fact they want £7 a week is bizarre and unreasonable. Who the hell would spend that on a mobile game? It’s 4 times the price of a monthly Netflix or Disney+ subscription . Greedy and deluded games developer strikes again!

Too many adverts

There is a unnecessary amount of adverts it’s very hard to actually play the game without it lagging out everything. So many times i have played a level and then it’s crashed because of the adverts, and then I lose one of my cubes. I know it’s the adverts because when i turn my wifi off it’s fine and it doesn’t crash. Please fix this and remove some of the adverts.

i love this game. i would definitely recommend playing it but there’s meant to be a guide. like you watch an ad and the guide is meant to be there but it won’t work. i watch 5 ads and there’s no guide. i don’t know what’s happening but this bug needs to be fixed as soon as possible

GREAT but…

This game is pretty fun and nostalgic as I used to play this ALL-THE-TIME for a few years now. But ever since then, they started to make us PAY or watch ADS for more games? Especially the iconic maps. I’m just a little disappointed that ads are everywhere nowadays AND they have taken over this game. Even thought the graphics are precise yet perfect and the game is still as smooth and soft-sounding as always, It would have been 5 stars without adds. THANK YOU❤️

Unlimited line and videos

The game is a good idea. The problem is weekly subscription. Netflix is cheaper than the subscription. Ps plus premium is cheaper than this subscription. If you made it so it one time payment like you did with your game rolling sky I would pay the £4 but there’s no way I’m paying that much for a mobile game per month because that’s like £28 per month which is ridiculous.

Two simple reasons.

I’ve had dancing line for years, and it used to be one of my favourite games to casually play, however, there are two simple but game-ruining reasons for my rating of this game.

The first, is that the game will lag mid-level, causing the player to die for stupid reasons beyond one’s own control.

This wouldn’t be so irritating, if not for reason two.

The second reason is that there is an ad after every single death.

This is increasingly irritating when you consider that Dancing Line is a music game based off of trial and error.

You learn how the song goes, what the map is like, and try again.

However, as you can often die to lag, and then have to watch an ad after every attempt, it becomes more and more infuriating attempting to play, and it makes me not want to play anymore.

I used to love this game though, so thank you for creating it ❤️

I really don’t want to end up deleting it out of frustration :,D

Annoying ads

This game used to be good a couple of years ago when there wasn’t 4 ads every 2 minutes. It used to be a chill relaxing game but now I find myself frustrated with ads ads ads, uninstalling, do better this game is for kids I don’t want to see sexy romance games advertised it’s uncomfortable, ps I don’t care if the bear or the woman and her baby are freezing and need me to remove a pin to start a fire, I want to play my game.

Used to be

Used to be good. I dont know what’s happed but I cannot select the guidelines. It just plays an ad every time and never lets me select it. The music doesn’t entirely feel in sync with the tap points which means I miss some of the gems and crowns that should be collected. It is just frustrating.

I am so disappointed - a ruined game.

I’m borderline heartbroken (or as close as someone can get to being heartbroken over an iPhone game, anyway). I had this game a few years ago on an old device. I forgot the name of it, and was overjoyed to have found it again!

But my goodness. UNBELIEVABLY filled with ads, and also laggy (a death sentence in these kids of games). Even after putting up with the ads because I wanted to ply so badly, I couldn’t even enjoy playing the game as the lag would just cause me to have a game over, which would then send me into another ad or two!!

Oh how the mighty have fallen. I loved this game, the music, the graphics, the clear hard work and love that went into it. Now it’s just a shell.

Come on developers, you can see this feedback. Please do something to right this!

Original game Brilliant but now?

I used to love Dancing Line and I thought it was one of the best gaming apps out there. However now when I play the game I get thousands of adverts just to play one game. After every life, every continue, every level every add on, just advert after advert. And they expect me to pay 7.99 a week to remove them. I used to see adverts on the game but only when you wanted extra items or better skins etc but it’s now ridiculous. I just want to play the game for 5 minutes without 4 minutes of that 5 being taken up with adverts, or me cancelling the adverts.

Its a great game with very fun levels and great music: calming, upbeat, and I’m fairly sure that on one level it was all daisies and bunnies one second then the next you’re avoiding getting smashed by giant hammers to rock n roll. The actual levels themselves are great too, like the way in “The Time” the ticking of the clock matches perfectly with the beat of the music, and in “the piano” the way it shows the strings of the piano around halfway through (I’m very nostalgic about the piano, and I love its music)

At one point there was also a few levels with real life music like Alone by Alan walker - removed - and a few others. I just have a few complaints

- ads. I know everyone says this but there IS a reason WHY everyone says it

- lag. Again common, but true. I died on multiple levels because the screen kept freezing up.

- the free trial thing for levels. On some levels like “the ocean” or “the plains” you have to watch An ad to play the level, and sometimes it doesn’t give you your level, it just crashes. I do have an update suggestion for how to fix this issue - the too many ads, not the crashing. You could either make us watch an ad and then have the level unlocked permanently afterwards. Or you could have a format of having one level unlocked only like the piano and then it unlocks new ones once you’d finish it

this game would be so fun and entertaining if it weren’t for all the ads that bombard your gameplay. It is so annoying having to watch ads that aren’t even interactive just to think you would get your reward when you get another ad instead. In addition, the fact that levels are so inaccessible is also terrible. Nearly all the levels are locked and it is extremely difficult to play them without having to spend your money on them.

If you want to get rid of ads, it costs over £400 a year just to do that. £8 a week is crazy just to unlock some levels in a game and get rid of ads. It’s completely unacceptable.

The game itself is really enjoyable however, it is great idea but the performance is just really bad. I hope in the future the ads will decrease but from all these other reviews that the brand have not noticed I don’t think anything will change

You’re as beautiful as the day i lost you

Played this game awhile back in 2017 and i loved it played it on hours end but also raged a bit on certain levels lol, now coming back its nostalgia trip and I'm astounded by the new levels and quite overwhelming seeing all these new reward points and system but regardless its still one of my favorite mobile games to date

As i said i was astounded by the new levels and its visuals and i am so in love but you can’t really appreciate the work put into these levels cus you’re too focused on playing! I suggest adding some kind of replay view of the level where it just plays itself while we could just watch the beauty put into the different levels and the stories it could tell it would be great for players to just enjoy the visuals or listen to the soundtrack because its also beautiful!

Had so much potential

This game used to be good, about 4 years ago when I used to play it all the time with my friends, unlimited levels without the trial thing, unlimited lives, etc etc, then unfortunately the company saw they had a good game and got greedy. Now there are ads after every time you die, you have to watch an ad just to play a level, you get 1 free one every day but it could be any level so there’s no progression of any sort, because you could get a hard level one day and an easy one the next. You have to pay for everything now, they bombard you with ads until you give in and buy their subscription fee of £7 a week just to get rid of all this when before, it was all free. Honestly this game is a prime example of why mobile gaming will never advance, because companies like this get too greedy and ruin their own game and cause people to hate it, all their good reviews are form years ago when this game actually used to be good. However they won’t change it, because money is everything at the end of the day tho. I used to love this game, and I have good memories on it, and they’ve ruined it.

bad game

the game is too hard. i had to download the premium to make it actually playable. but i’m going to unsubscribe after 3 days because i’m not paying £8 A WEEK FOR SOME UNLIMITED HEARTS AND NO ADS!!! the part where you have to turn corners is extremely hard because the objects arrive 2 milliseconds before you have to press your device to turn. if you want a hard game i would recommend this. other than that i think the game has potential. the music that comes with the levels of dancing line is great. it’s well animated. i just think you need to think through about the hardness of the levels. i dont know if the game is supposed to be as extreme as it is. but if it’s aimed at people 4+ i’m not sure they could be able to play it.

I like the app, not the ads. Spent 5.99 for nothing

I really like the music and the game in general, but the ads are really off putting. I actually bought the pop up banner package for £5.99 but I don’t get where my money went as I keep getting ads when I die, when I start a new level, when I select boosts and when I run the daily rewards. Can I get a refund? Cause honestly I don’t get what I paid for. I’m not gonna pay 7.99 a week, but at least don’t fool people with packages that give nothing back...

Anyway, the ads are super annoying, I play other apps and they last 10-15 secs, here it’s 30 seconds each and if the level is difficult you play for 2 secs and then get 30 secs of ad instead. You spend more time watching ads rather than playing and even when you spend 5.99 for the pop up removal you still get them. Appalling.

The video game level

So this is a very cool level and very cool music but there is one problem with that level so I was just playing it and I fell of the platform and I saw that it is an endless pit you can’t do anything with it! Your just there and a purple background with a falling block .You should fix this because I want to carry on but then I have to shut the game down! And also, please add more levels! One question why did you get rid of the Alan walker songs and I enjoyed them because cool songs and cool design of level! Alan Walker is my favourite singer/song maker because I love spectre, faded and alone there so cool! So please add the Alan walker levels again and then add more songs and levels please?

It’s a good game but...

Dancing line was a good game when I started playing it. It still is now. But now there is way more adverts, making it not as fun. Also, you can now only unlock levels when you complete the previous ones, spoiling the ability to pick the level you want to do. You can’t turn on aeroplane mode to stop the adverts, because then you can’t play any level you haven’t unlocked. You can get rid of the adverts, but it costs real money. Also, sometimes I’m playing a level and the music isn’t playing or it’s very laggy. I end up failing because of that and then it instantly plays me an advert. But when the advert’s done, it just goes onto a black screen so I have to close the app, losing my progress on the level. And I have to watch another advert to get back into the level. All in all, if you like music (and ADVERTS) you’ll like this game.

Omg I love this game!!!!

My friend recommended this game to me and so I decided to give it a go. I usually only keep games for maybe a week or so or they just stay on my phone wasting space and being completely useless. However this game has really impressed me! I love how every level is different and the music 🎧 is so unique! I wish there was a bit where you can just listen to the music!! But even though this is one of my all time favourite games I have one complaint...

As they update the app the levels have become incredibly hard and some are just so impossible I wonder how on earth anyone can even pass these new levels! Also I’m really disappointed that you now have to pay real money to unlock some of the new levels instead of unlocking them by the money in the game.

I still love the game and anyone who is reading this you should definitely download it! I’ve never spent any money on this game and it is still amazing!

I can’t purchase new lines or props

I really want to buy new lines and props but there is no option to. I pressed ‘Store’, and then it took me to ‘Dancing Line Premium’ etc, where underneath there are all my current lines, but no option to purchase more, and ‘Props’ ‘Check’. So when I press ‘Check’ it comes up with all the props I haven’t got, and again no option to buy them. When I press on them nothing happens.

Anyway, I love the game and have been playing it since early 2017, highly recommend unless you want to buy anything which doesn’t involve pop-up adds, which are also very annoying. Dancing Line I want to pay you!! Please let me know how I can get these lines and props!!!

WAS GOOD UNTIL NEW UPDATE - PLEASE READ

This game was ok before the new update but the new boxes update is a complete scam. In the old version you either got a free guidance line or you had to pay 150 gems. Now, when you tap on a level, it comes up with boxes and you have to look at the reward you want and follow it. There are two medium prizes like a couple of regenerations or cubes. There is one big prize like no ads for 5 mins or the guidance line. I tried to get the big prize many times and I couldn’t. I then did a screen recording of the boxes moving and played it in slow motion so I could see which one had the big prize in it. But when I clicked on the right one I just got a couple of cubes!!!!!! A complete scam. You can’t even buy the guidance line now so it’s virtually impossible to complete any hard levels. Probably going to delete it now after a few months of happy gaming. Don’t play not worth the time!

This game has so much potential it’s painful to see how it’s been wasted entirely! There are ads literally every 5 seconds and what’s worse is that they load the ads while you play which creates lag in the game that causes you to die and have to watch the ads all the time because the lag stops the game from registering your touch to change direction. What’s worse is they introduce levels where you have to pay to play and once you get to a certain point you can’t unlock any more levels because you don’t have enough points but you need 2000 more points to play this paywall level for in game gems which are earns through play instead of actual money. The problem there is you don’t have any more levels to earn the points to get to that point and so you either have to pay or be stuck! Don’t play this game it’s a waste of your time and you will fall in love just to be insanely irritated by everything wrong with this game!

Amazing game but I’m absolutely fuming! 😡😡😡 Sort out the bugs!!!

This game is amazing, yes. You can play all the different lines, the visuals are great and it is just so much fun. However. Bugs. They need to be sorted out as I can’t enjoy this game if you don’t fix them, as well as others! On the vast majority of levels, it completely glitches out and causes you to lose and whenever I play an advert (and too many adverts) it completely glitches off and crashes and freezes the screen causing me to reset the whole app just for it to happen again. Stupid. I don’t even get the reward I just endured an advert for. Please sort it out I feel it’s gone on to long and it lets the game down. Thanks for reading.

Good game but...

I’ve been playing this game for over a year (maybe two) and I really enjoy it... I did have to spend £5 to get rid of the adverts as they were beginning to make the game bug out and really slowed it down. I have also found that with levels (especially the newer one) I press when I’m supposed to but nothing happens, I’m a completionist when it comes to games so when I’m nearing the end of a level without any revivals and it claims I didn’t press the screen is incredibly frustrating, the Indian one which has just been released I can’t get past nice percent because it’s not recognising me pressing the screen. Great game, annoying ad problems

I’ve been playing this game since the beginning when there was only like 5 levels, it’s my favourite game to play and it’s one of the best games I’ve ever downloaded. That being said, there are issues with ads that ruin the game completely. There are ads after every death and sometimes randomly when you tap on things, that’s totally fine and is to be expected with a free game. However, if you die in a level and want to get an extra life by watching an ad, without fail every single time you finish watching the ad, the game freezes, you get no extra life for watching the ad and you have to close the ap and reload it, then you have to start the level again from the beginning which basically means you have to finish every level without dying which is pretty difficult to do. This bug needs to get fixed it’s crazy.

Please make a legitimate paid version and remove the ads

This is a GREAT game. The kind of game most people would happily pay an upfront fee for because it’s challenging, entertaining, beautifully put together. However it has the worst ad system I’ve ever come across, 70/80% of your playing time is drowned in ads, and as a game kids can play these ads aren’t always appropriate and there’s no way to change that - you would think paying the £4 to ‘remove ads’ would...right? But no it removes maybe 20% of the ads. The ads are relentless and unnecessary on a game that could and should have a real option to pay to own the game and have zero ads. We used to love the game in our house but just can’t play it anymore because it’s too cynical, frankly.

Love the game but the lagging is ridiculous

The latest way of obtaining the new levels is completing the 4 challenge levels but only with 3 tickets. However, you are allowed revivals. So you watch the adverts to get the revivals but when the ad is over, it comes up saying “loading” - ready to give you the reward but the screen just freezes instead. The only way to solve this is to double tap and slide up on the app and re-enter the game. However when you return, you haven’t got your reward and you’ve lost a ticket even tho had you had the reward without the freezing, you would have eventually managed. This makes you think that it’s deliberately done so that you’ll spend real money to get the level instead of dealing with all the problems. I’ve tried to do this challenge many times and every time it ends the same. Other than this, it’s a great game with great music, great graphics and addictive levels. We could just use some more bug fixes in a new update and some more free levels (that you can earn without “unintended” complications).

Frustrating (Would vote 3 1/2

Dancing line is a really fun game to play, it is satisfying to listen to the music but there are a few annoying things about it:

1. There are so many ads, even just ending a game you have to watch an ad to get back to the main menu, some of them can be really long as well like 30 seconds. However some times you can get lucky with a 5 second ad.

2. It’s kinda hard, sometimes when I think the game is lagging it’s not and I press ‘begin’ twice and it just starts playing and the line bumps into the side. Even the starting levels are really hard and I haven’t had a run through where I just complete it. Some are saying you just need more practice but I almost play it all the time and it just appears too hard.

The game is great but somethings aren’t

I have had this game pretty much since it came out and it has changed so much. I love all of the new levels and I think the reviving aspect is great instead of just being 3 crowns. I don’t however like the fact that you have to watch ads to even revive at a crown as before you didn’t have to do that and it just seems they have put ads everywhere which I understand that it gives money as it’s a free game etc but the ads are a bit excessive and too much and I don’t know if this is just me but some of the ads have popped up while I’m playing and ended up killing me. Good game though just annoying with too many ads that make it more annoying when you die, every time you die, every single time you die there are ads and maybe it should be like every 10th death or something idk just please not every single death. But yeah good game.

Good game but a few things to pick up on

Overall I think it’s a great game; it’s really therapeutic and all the music and graphics are fine. But there’s one or two things that really annoy me. one being: all the ads. A lot of people are writing about the ads and I totally agree it’s really annoying. You get them literally every single death and there’s no point, no rewards or anything. Two: this is really weird and I don’t know if this has happened to anyone else but I had it installed on this IPad for about three months, I hadn’t touched it in a while and I hadn’t upgraded it either. I went to play on it a week ago and it wasn’t turning on. It was just on the loading screen of cheetamobile. I thought I should leave it a bit and I came back to it today and it did the same thing. I upgraded it, and it still froze. I deleted and downloaded it again but it’s still on the loading screen. I’ve been waiting about ten minutes and I eventually gave up. Anyway I think it’s a really great game and it’s no bother because it doesn’t cost anything (not if you want to get rid of the ads) and I enjoy playing it 🙂

Fun, but..

I have been playing Dancing Line for about a year and a half. At first, I really enjoyed it as I come from a musical background. I played competitively with my sister very often. I really couldn’t stop playing it. I had a break for about 3 months in May 2018 because I got stuck on the same level for a long time. When I came back to it in July/August, there were many more levels and remixes to do. However, despite the improvements, the game was also ridden with Ads. There weren’t as many the first time I started playing. It got to the point where every time I failed, an Ad would come up. It is very annoying indeed. I’m still playing it but yesterday I found out that my sister payed to remove Ads but they still popped up at the same rate. They’re the same ads as well. I understand this is to make money for the developers and it is a free game, but the amount of ads is ridiculous. I hope the developers think about this because as of right now I am considering deleting.

I love the game ! I just have one suggestion ..... could you have a feature that allows you to see how you did once the level is completed ? I think it would be a great idea if you put something on to watch how you did and that way we could properly look at the effort put in the background design! 😊

Good but 1 issue

There’s a bug in the game and it’s really getting on my nerves. So far I’ve only seen it in ‘The Chaos’ level so I don’t know if it happens on other levels. I’m playing on an iPhone 8 Plus. Whenever I die and re spawn, the level doesn’t load back up again properly, I’ll start the level as usual but then the platforms don’t load in and I just end up plummeting into the abyss. It’s frustrating because on levels like that I need to make every life count and I’m losing half over nothing. Normally It happens after I die once (sometimes after 2 times). Other than that, it’s a great game and as you can probably tell, I’m highly addicted. Great stuff.

Love the game, few problems.

I really like the game and the music, It’s keeps me relaxed. But do you know what’s not relaxing? Getting adds almost for every single death! (For me anyway). Like honestly! I understand it’s a free app but after every death it’s kind of annoying, it comes up so much that I’ve basically memorised the scripts from every single advert! Also on the level ‘the hip hop evolution’, it’s not very fitting for the style of the game (a game based on rhythm and piano). Also, it had changed the view multiple times and made it almost impossible to see where you were tapping and to see when to tap.

Also I saw someone saying that £5 isn’t a lot of money to get rid of adds, but honestly it is! I could probably go to the shop and buy milk, bread and eggs with that! And probably a chocolate bar too! But your letting people waste their money on getting rid of adds? Like come on! Coming from a family with not much money I can tell you £5 can make a massive difference.

Please don’t take this the wrong way, I love the game and the music a lot!

This game is amazing but there is things that I dislike

USED TO BE A LOT BETTER!!!

I first started using the app a couple of years ago. And when I first got it, it was very addicting. I played it a lot and I would get loads of in game money and then unlock new levels with that money to play. But one day I noticed they had brought out a new level and you had to pay for it with actual money. I just thought it was a one time thing. But as time went on I noticed more and more new levels that you have to pay for with actual money. I now can’t remember a time when they brought out a level where you unlock it with in game money. Almost half of the levels you actually have to buy and the only way you can play them without spending any money is if you watch a video to do a trial. And even then you only do less than half the level. And about three adds pop up in a row every minute. And you can even skip them, I once got a Tik tok add where it lasted for over a minute. The game used to be a lot better but now basically everything you do you have to pay with actual money so i deleted the game. It’s not worth it!!!!!

Great game but...

I recently downloaded this game and I am enjoying playing it and I love all the music and the beautiful graphics of the game but I do have a couple of issues. Firstly I love playing it but just say you were half way through a level and then just needed to quickly do something, then you can’t because there is no pause button. Now I know that it’s a free flowing game but seriously, not having any pause button in crazy and a few times I have died at the very end of a level because I needed to do something quick and went to do a 5-10 second job and by the time I came back I’ve died! It would be a great help if one could be installed and many people would appreciate it. Second I know this has been mentioned a lot but the price of removing adds is massive price I know that some of the money goes to the developer but £5 is a lot of money, on other games it may be £3 so a bit of a difference.

New update

Always really loved this game and have become obsessed with completing the levels, but I have noticed a glitch in the level ‘The Football’ around the 40% mark. As you’re jumping from the little green squares onto the platform with the turquoise line, whenever I jump from the next platform the game seems to glitch and I fail immediately. Or I’ll be jumping from the little green squares and it sometimes won’t register my tap and it’ll just run off. I’m not using an old phone either - I’ve tried around 40-50 times on that one spot alone. I’ve completed the harder levels as well and I only use the game now to see new ones added :)

Great game though and really enjoy - just hope you can get this fixed!

Impossible to get to new levels 🙄

I got this game a few years ago and got up to about halfway through the earth (which was then amongst the first few levels) and then my device broke, I got a new one and now, starting from the beginning again, I find that not only are there levels like the savanna (which I personally don’t like), not just that my favourite levels like the plain and the earth are towards the back, but if I want to do all the levels it’s not actually possible because either I have to trial it with an ad, or buy it, and I find that even once I’ve completed the locked level through watching the ads, I can’t play it again without watching more ads because since I didn’t buy it it’s still locked, even though I completed it. Please fix this - it’s not even normal

However I still enjoy playing through the piano and other similar ones with beautiful music and turning WiFi off definitely helps

Latest levels have impressed..

Latest update: I have to say, we spoke and they listened. The latest flurry of levels that have been introduced have been far from impossible as a few earlier ones were. Interesting changes and great music as usual. Unfortunately the gems now need to be collected in unison while completing the level flawlessly, but I guess this is just another 'challenge accepted' moment, please do keep up the great work!!!

Old review: I mean I was all for a slightly more structured level as opposed to the last few that have been released that simply had no discernible patterns to follow or learn.

However I feel that The Spring is almost a “here you go” response to those who supported my views, it was a 30 second level that was finished on a first attempt and a rather lazy effort if I’m honest.

I still have great respect for the developers and an immense appreciation for this tremendous game but I feel after all the Ad introductions, this mystery box business and extra effort into everything but the raw game, has slightly tarnished the authenticity of this once amazing app.

Bring back the old motivations you had for the first 10 or so levels. That’s the game I’m sure everybody wants!

Ads and overview?? Sure 😂

I have enjoyed this game in the past and had recently downloaded it again, it’s been around a year since I last played it and I liked it back then. But now I’m playing it again it’s not as good as it used to be. The ads are necessary don’t get me wrong but after every death in the game they come up and that is unnecessary though. Also when this happens it seems to make the game lag which ruins the flow of it. Also the more it pages the more I died and the more ads kept playing. I get it that it’s free and needs ads but it’s kinda sad to see how it’s just lags and ads. Is it’s supposed to be this way? or it’s my phone being bad as it’s only a iPhone 6? But either way the game as a whole used to be a hole lot better. Shame to see it (from what seems to be) a money grab.

Not as good as advertised

I saw this game advertised on Facebook and thought I’d give it a go. I had great fun for an hour or so, the game was challenging and fun.

However, once you get past the “advertised” levels, things start to get underhanded so that you start paying for in-game purchases. I wouldn’t mind if it was tasteful, but it’s not, it’s just cheap trickery. For example, the screen goes black near turns, the beat doesn’t necessarily match the board, or it’s just completely not obvious where you’re supposed to go or what you’re supposed to do to advance.

My personal opinion of this game is that it provides good fun at first, and then tries to turn into a money pit when you’re hooked. It’s good business, but the product just isn’t worth the amount they want you to pay. It’s literally a game where you tap your screen. If they put more effort into making a more in-depth game, and then wanted people to pay for it, I’d be less offended. Generally, I wouldn’t recommend it until it improves

I hate lag

When playing the game, I don’t have too much to complain about, but there is one major deal that is keeping me from giving this game a 4/5.

I think that the amount of adverts popping up after a death is alright (at least for me) and it can be solved by simply turning off your internet. However, a major problem I find when playing the game is the lag. Oh god, everybody hates lag. It’s terrible. But when playing I’ll be in the middle of tapping and suddenly it lags, causing the music to be delayed, in any case making me lose rhythm. This isn’t just at the beginning of the game, it could be at 80% and I’ll have to start over or use a cube to start at my last checkpoint (60%). This is very frustrating, I’m not even playing on an older model iPhone: I’m playing on an iPhone 7 with all my updates up to date.

I’d also mention how the beat doesn’t actually match when I’m supposed to tap sometimes. That could just because I’m tone deaf, but still.

Amazing game but the hearts are annoying!

I do love this game! I think the graphics and music are beautiful and it’s highly addictive. However I do find the hearts which are the lives you consume if you want to restart at a check point to be very annoying. You literally only get at the most 4 attempts before you have to watch adverts which are 30 seconds long! I would be willing to buy the no ad version but unfortunately that will just remove pop up ads and not the ones you use to earn hearts.

I also find that this game uses a lot of battery power and I’m not sure if all the ads are the cause of it. I played the game for about 10 minutes today and I found that I lost 10% of battery power and I can feel the back of my phone getting hot.

I think that sorting out these issues will make the game even better than it is now.

My daughter got dancing line a few months ago and I thought this is a PHENOMENAL game!!! I ❤️ music and things like that, this is epic!😆 The graphics are rlly good, you might think it is hard and first but the new updates make it better and better, easier and easier. My 9 year old daughter loves this game so much and even I get the songs stuck in my head lol!! Try this game now you have all different levels and you get rewards. I recommend this 10/10. Broken game(Still enjoyed when it worked tho)

Dancing line is a good game, I’ve found it enjoyable and replayable something I enjoy in games, but starting since last year one of the updates broke the game no longer allowing me to play it anymore, I originally thought it was just my iPhone, but I have recently acquired a new iPhone more up to date and able to handle the game but when I go to try it the same problem occurs

I’ve tried getting in contact with their Facebook r wpage(which never responded and only showed a *seen*) who as their help link on the apple store only directs you to there site which at the time I checked only showed the games they developed and not any information on how to contact or to fix my game.

I love the game, I just wish I could play it again but am not able to do so anymore

Quite good

I really do think this game has a lot of potential. I like the style, the simple grafics and piano! When I got this, I was thinking there could be not better game! It’s just not perfect yet, but they can easily change the 2 things I am going to say in this review I don’t really like that much.

One of the things I don’t like about it is how many ads there are. It takes a very hard press to control it, and I think that is mainly from how many ads there are in the background when you are playing the game. Also, it is £5 to remove all the ads!

I understand that the developers are trying to get money, but that is just to much. The next thing I’m bothered about might be just me, but I may as well tell you.

The second thing I don’t like is that the music is not in time to the game. You some times have to tap earlier, later or just in a totally random way. Once, I was nearly at the end of the level and I wasn’t really paying attention to the screen and I just fell of. Can you guess why? The music I was listening to on the game wasn’t in time to when you where actually meant to tap.

That’s just my complaints though. This game would be a very good game if they just fixed those errors. It’s up to you if you buy it, because I’m going to keep it on my iPad in case they have a update removing/fixing these errors.

FIX THIS BUG

Don’t get me wrong. Dancing Line is a GREAT game but about 4 months ago I would open the app and I wouldn’t even get onto the home screen and the app would just crash. I thought, well...maybe an update would fix it. So I waited each time for the update to fix this bug. I deleted the app and reinstalled it but the same thing happened. I can’t seem to get in touch with the creator and if you can PLEASE let them know. This game used to be great. I used to recommend it to my friends, but now I don’t. If the creator is reading this (probably not, but worth a try) PLEASE FIX THE BUG. THE GAME CRASHES AS SOON AS I OPEN IT. I DO NOT GET ONTO THE HOME SCREEN. PLEASE FIX THIS BUG. Overall amazing

I absolutely adore this game. It’s an app which I can just pick up anywhere and spend as little or as much time as I want on it each time I open it. Not to mention the graphics are lovely and some of the music is actually quite catchy lol.

I only have one problem with it, and that’s with the new update which has introduced those checkpoint lives (cubes with a heart in the centre) which are required when continuing on from a checkpoint. They can be seen at the top right of the screen when playing the game.

As someone who payed £5 to remove adverts, I really don’t like that I have to watch a 30 second advert every time I want to gain just four more of these checkpoint life boxes in order to continue my game from the last checkpoint. It just seems like developers are looking for any excuse to make the consumer watch even more adverts despite the fact that some people have paid not to see them.

Fair enough to watching adverts to get 15 new cubes each time you crash, but what’s the deal with these new checkpoint cubes? They seem so pointless and make me play the game so much less.

Best rough diamond going!

Dancing Lines is without a doubt one of the best games out there with its inventive gameplay, stunning music, and creativity with each chosen theme. I honestly want to learn how to play some of the piano pieces they are that enjoyable. Where it falls short is the difficulty and cost. Some levels require so much incredibly difficult tapping you end up failing a lot of the time. Couple that with how arbitrary the failings are (i have honesty questioned how thin the margins are between when the line passes or hits an area so many times i have lost count) that frustration is very quick to follow. How difficult should a game be before the fun element is gone? Regarding cost the developers fully deserve £5 (to remove ads) for this game for what they have done right. However a new development regarding “lives” that are used on every checkpoint that when run out put you through the same advertising frustration that you paid to avoid in the first place; you wonder what the £5 was for. Sharpen these short falls developer and you will have a perfect game!

Rather mixed

I have rather mixed thoughts on this: On the one hand, it’s a nice idea; the music is very nice; I honestly don’t care about the graphics, and it’s rather funny seeing people say it was “ruined” by downgrading the graphics; and I like that you could, in theory, play blindfold. However there are a few problems: It is strewn with adverts, seeing as it’s a free game though, that’s understandable, but having adverts after every single death (for me anyway) seems a bit excessive; what’s not helped is that they seem to load the adverts in the background, thus creating major lag (not ideal in a bloody rhythm game); Oh, and I for one feel like the control isn’t very precise, I feel like I really have to jab hard to get the switch. Might be just me though.

On a last note: Why are people complaining about the price of removing ads? £5 isn’t a lot, and it gets rid of ads and gives the developer/s some money. It’s a free game, and not laden with micro transactions that slow the game down, and in this day-and-age of gaming, thats commendable.

Can’t quite believe I put this much time into a review for a mobile game, but hey ho.

Update needed right now!

This is the best game out there in there appstore however it has been ruined by ads if this doesn't change one will ever play. The game decides to load adverts in the background instead of the game play making there be tones of lag. Even offline there are ads you download by installing the game so that wherever you are you have to sit through boring ads which are of no interest to you. Also removing ads is £2.99!!! Over priced!!!!!! There needs to be a system where when you buy things in game they come with the no ads!!! Then there would be many more sales. Don't get this game until it updates these problems it is just a rage inducing peice of garbage.

AMAZING SOOO ADDICTIVE I CANT STOP PLAYING IT!!!!!!!!

I’ve been scrolling through some reviews and everyone is saying about the new update. I mean, you can have your opinion but I think it’s cool and the sleigh ride is EPIC, even if it goes faster than any other levels. Christmas Eve

Honestly, the rest of the game is good except for this new level, this new level called Christmas Eve is just soo strange. Starts off extremely slow; would make a few players bored and fall asleep. Then it goes onto a sleigh which is super fast paced compared to any other level, hard to control making your taps almost pixel perfect it's honestly ridiculous. I've asked a few other opinions on this level and we've all made the same comparison, slow then fast. I'm sorry but this level is a complete downfall in the level gameplay, it is a beautiful level I'd admit it, with all the reindeers, rabbits etc. But the way it starts off slow with the slow paced music completely changing beyond 40% is just a huge turn in what you could have done, sure it's a sleigh which should go fast but adding gameplay with the sleigh is just too much.

Crashing - Review by Benaiah

I love this app so much and it is really fun and addictive. I’ve got 100% on almost EVERY level and I’ve had the game for more than a year! However, when I play on my iPad Air, it works fine and the gameplay is perfect but I’ve recently downloaded it on my iPhone SE and every time I open the app, it crashes. I got it on my mums iPhone 7+ and it works fine. I’ve deleted the game multiple times and restarted my phone a bunch of times too but it still won’t load, it just keeps crashing. It’s also to the latest update. So it would be great if the developers fixed this as it works on all the other devices except my SE! Also my iOS update is up to date. Please fix this and let me know :)

Amazing game but...

This game is spectacular. I have been playing for nearly 2 and a half years now and have always loved it, but I have some complaints. First, that all about us one is a waste of time-heads up, no one likes it, we want ones without lyrics. Secondly, some are really easy but others are ridiculously difficult. For example, I have completed every level with 3 crowns and 10 diamonds apart from the storm. It is hideously difficult and I have wasted around 600 cubes and 10 hours trying to get past 80%. My friends have had the same struggle, and it is ridiculously frustrating. Apart from that, top notch game, love most of the recent updates xx

Really good game, but...

I really enjoy playing this game, it is highly addictive and fun, but the last update I was little disappointed with. To start with, the graphics have seemed to go down hill: in The Winter the flowers at the end used to open when you went past them, but now they are already open; in The Desert the poles around the small pyramids are the start used to down down as you went past(same as The Winter) but now they are permanently down. It's like they have run out of money, although they have all the adverts. In all of the maps the colours aren't faded as well and are quite bold. But after all that, I still love the game and would recommend it.

(P.S to the editors, please put the annimations back, if you don't in the next couple of updates you might lose a valued player)
