This app has so much potential, and is brilliant to use. It’s so easy to use and the results are great. That all sounds really positive, and it is, however there is one MASSIVE issue - the cost
They want you to subscribe to use the app, and at £29.99 per year, it’s ridiculous. Lots of people would buy the app for £29.99 as a one of fee, but every year I think not.
Make it a purchase price and I think more people would use the app as it is very good, but they have screwed up with the pricing, which is a great shame

I love the app and I loved it when you could watch ads to unblock filters and edits. Now everything useful is blocked, and you must pay to unblock. I get that they need to profit from it, but it’s better to profit from ads than asking people to pay because most of us don’t have the luxury to spend money for an editing app. I don’t even work yet since I’m a student so there’s no way I’d be able to pay. Please don’t bother answering if you’re gonna say that I must remember that the showcase tab has free filters and that there are plenty unblocked filters - the showcase tab only purpose is to see how the filters would lock, not to actually edit the photo, and the only free filters are the age ones or the gendered ones, and you know most people aren’t interested in those ones.

I have had this app for a while now. I don’t think there is enough free stuff as there is like one free thing in each category, so you end up creating the same style of people over and over, and over again. I would also like there to be accessories so you can beautify people with accessories. I also want more demos so you can experiment things with different people each time instead of it being the same people over and over. To be honest, this app is not the best and, there is a lot of bugs in the game. They also can take your photos and invade your privacy.

On one installation i get the collage mode and demo mode, other one only demo mode and sometimes neither. I absolutely love this app, however I would love to see ... an eraser to erase an area for the particular filter you are using (hair/makeup etc) as currently the area you erase erases anything done so if for example you wanted to erase a hair area that the app added over your face it would erase the makeup added too. Also after the latest update I can no longer lock a hairstyle in place to add a second one and I use to love this feature! Sometimes I’d like to see a curl with a fringe for example and this has been removed!! Please get it back!! Also bring back straight hair please!!

Got this game a month and I never sooo i thought I would make a video about it bc I was bored as soon as I pressed the app weird things started happening my light turned of and all my photos turned into the app picture I got verry scared but I ignored it in till 3:11am I got a text that my game said I paid 20 dollars for the thing I didn’t pay for it soo I was confused but I had to go get dog food for my dog soo I went. 11:7am my phone started ringing from the company that’s when I got confused and thought it was sus I answered when I answered I heard a weird voice laughing it sounded like somone listen to the funniest joke in the world that’s when I had a funny feeling sooo I deleted the app and everything was back to normal soo plz soo not download I don’t have anything against the company I am just saying ITS CREEPY

Really good. It is a very good app but without the “Pro” the varieties of changes are very limited. I think they should make pro a bit more cheaper because not everyone can pay money just for a photo of lies. Because technically it is, your changing your appearance and background of the photo, I tried even just with the smile editor I didn’t look like myself. Even if they won’t make it cheaper they should at least make just a tiny bit more varieties for people who are not willing to pay for the “Pro”. The app is very useful, how I can change the backround and choose whatever one I pick for 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲! - It's also sutible for younger children as there is nothing unsuitable! - There are a few issues where it says I’m a man when I have my hair tied up and won’t let me use the change gender icon.. - I don’t really like how a lot of things are real money, it’s a bit annoying but.. overall the app is pretty good and I enjoy using Face App!

Very good and has good results but i think the faceswap section could improve in one way:
When i have mixed myself with a black person eg beyonce it has always come out white and doesn’t take the skin colour into consideration which is disappointing. And also whenever you do the ‘our son/daughter’ or change the age to child it makes them really pale as well and i would just like more accuracy on the skin tone :)
Also, random idea but i thought adding freckles to your face would be a good update.😊

Downloaded the app after seeing it in a newspaper article. It sounded fun but I also thought it might be a good way to choose a new look. Sadly the free version is so basic and limited that it’s hardly worth downloading, a couple of options here and there but for the rest you have to pay. Given the comic outcomes of the few things I was able to try I can’t imagine why the paid version would be any better. As a bit of fun for free it was ok, would I pay? Not a chance.

This app goes from strength to strength with each new update. If only you could save high res images. The resolution is shockingly low! Instead of constantly adding new features, it would be great if this feature could be improved for those that spend money on the app every month.
Also, please go back to the original design of the Morphing tab. The new interface that corps images and places hashtags on them is incredibly frustrating

Something weird about the quality with the newest update.

I use the same picture as comparison every update to see if anything has changed with and this latest update the image looks different to previous ones when I use the same presets as before, so I guess they have changed something but not for the better. The newer interface is fine, but in general I would say the latest upgrade is a step in the wrong direction. For example why is long hair giving different results now? It used to make hair looks full a little straighter, now it seems to be blurry and fuzzy looking when editing the same pictures. Not sure what’s happened. Definitely doesn’t feel like it’s beautifying or improving images like before, some of the make ups look a little off too, the eyes seem darker. In general the quality has really taken a dip.
If the app was working like it was before I’d say it was a solid 4.5, as currently is though it’s not quite there. This is a good example of don’t fix what isn’t broken.

I downloaded this app last year and was fascinated by the life like results that you got in seconds. However recently the app has been constantly crashing and whenever it doesn’t crash it freezes and won’t let me use it. I even tried uninstalling and downloading it again but this didn’t resolve the problem.

I spent hours upon hours of fun morphing faces together and ageing people. It’s such a addictive app and the quality of the final results were incredible.. until one day, the quality decided to disappear! One minute, the app was producing stunning, life-like faces, the next, it was blurring images, getting the shading all wrong and turning faces into things that didn’t match the standard I was used to. Yesterday, I morphed a picture of my girlfriend onto my face and I got a beautiful result, but today I tried again, with exactly the same two photos, and it didn’t look the same at all. In fact, it was quite disturbing 😂 Please fix this app and make it go back to normal.

I really like this app and have been using it for a long time even before it blew up. But, I saw a YouTuber use this app and it had an option called ‘presets’ and it isn’t there for me whether I’m pro or not and I have gone through all the settings and googled things but nothing comes up so developer could you please answer this and explain? Did you remove it for some reason :( ? Because I was really wanting to use the presets!!

The thing I love about this app is that all of the nice and fun things are all free!I recommend other apps to use this one as an role model because all the other ones do is rob you with like £100 a month! On this one you can buy the pro but if you don’t you can still have a great time! This is my opinion and DEFINITELY DOWNLOAD!!! :)

It’s good and functions as advertised. You have to pay for quite a bit of the stuff but it works fine without it. I mostly use it to put peoples faces on to objects. The photos that are uploaded to their servers for processing get auto deleted within a couple of days and are encrypted with a key stored on your device so nobody else can access them; it’s not an invasion of privacy like some reviewers say.

Honestly such a good app, I used the free version in the beginning but loved it so much that I got the full version! Enhances your face in the best way possible with so many options! Finally found the perfect app, only issue is sometimes it can’t recognize your face in a picture but other apps can. Otherwise amazing 🤗

If the video option didn’t compress so much (or at least give an option for less compression and HD quality and allow videos to be in a 16:9 video ratio. )I know the video option is in its early stages but with these improvements seriously this could be the best app I’ve ever used. I pay for the pro version of the app so implementing a HD full frame video option just for PRO users would make me repurchase the monthly subscription. I’m sure you could do this.

I’m actually really confused on why this has good reviews 😂 I downloaded it thinking it would be amazing but it was really weird. I downloaded this app because I wanted to see what I looked like when I was older and it was literally a picture of me with ‘crinkled’ skin- not accurate at all, I know you can’t come up with a completely accurate photo but I was expecting a lot more. The makeup photo was something 😂😂 it had really pink lips and cheeks, no one would ever wear that lol. If you want this app for a laugh with your friends, I definitely recommend but if you want something ‘professional’ this isn’t the best app.

Wanted to update my review as now finally my pictures are loading again and not crashing! Yipee. Happy it’s working again as I love this app. Not sure where one of the adjustment settings went but still super happy it’s been fixed. Thank you programmers! 😊 this is a great app for subtle changes not over done (can do extreme if u want but I want subtle and this has great options that still look like you not false faced) also has some very funny adjustments that can be used seriously or to have a laugh with like adding smiles, aging, etc. Also love the gender swap options. Great app for males and females. Huge range of make up/ hair colour changes etc. Great stuff.

Well I downloaded this app cos my Dad had it and I thought it was HILARIOUS at the time! Putting all those beards and old age effects, but then it got a bit boring so I started downloading other apps and games started getting into those and just leaving it on my phone for a while, but if you want to have a laugh, then download it. It’s pretty good anyway!

I think that FaceApp is reeeeaaaaallly good except for a couple of things. First of all, the filters shouldn’t cost you!!! It makes it really hard to edit and make it a descent picture. Finally, when u do the filters on the photos provided, it suits so perfectly however on myself, my friends and family, it’s not so good. Great app, just could be better 🤩

This is a really fun app to use. Only got the free version at the moment but have produced some good results. Not sure if I will upgrade or not as £40 seems to be a lot for only a few extra filters. Would definitely upgrade if it was cheaper. Ok so upgraded and definitely worth it. Would be nice if you could do a photo which shows more than just the face.

When I first saw the app I thought it would ask me to pay once I’m on it. It did give me the option the become a pro. When I saw that I thought “oh no” then I pressed cancel and I started editing. When I chose a background I thought it would look like such a green screen but it actually didn’t! I like that you can make yourself look old or young. I tried this with my friend and we had a laugh making each other look old. Overall, I think this app is the best editing app. I would highly recommend this! 🌈💖❤️

Personally, I think that this app is a very good one. I do recommend getting this app although I do have a concern.. I think you could make us look better when we want to find out how we will look when we are older or very old... when I wanted to find out how I looked when I was at an old age, I was horrified at what I was seeing and it made me pretty disappointed. I had wrinkles all over my face and looked like an old rag(no offence to the app). Other than that I really do recommend this app because you can do all sorts of things like photoshopping which is a really similar version to the one I usually use.. overall I think that you should definitely get this app and if you do look bad when you look at how you will appear to be when you are old( like me ) don’t worry 😉 it is only an app and it isn’t real😁

This is a fun game to make yourself look old and the opposite gender, however I have an few issue to point out.
First of all, the way it lets you add a background to your selfie is really cool. But some of the options it gives you are very rude and inappropriate. This doesn’t make it suitable for the age given. (4+)
However this is a very fun game which I enjoy playing.

I downloaded this app, like everyone to age and de-age myself. Which tbh you can’t fault it. But if like me you have pictures of young children on your phone as soon as you give access to this app (which you have to) to photos that you wish to edit. It instantly uploads all the pictures off of your phone without your permission. I’ve contacted them but the message bounced back as undeliverable........ (strange)
I never gave permission of photos of my two year old daughter to be uploaded and I still don’t! If the makers are reading this. I DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION TO YOU, TOO USE PHOTOS OF MY TWO YEAR OLDS IMAGE TO BE LOOKED/USED/EDITED BY YOU

I recently downloaded the app and played around making myself look older, as everyone else did. But unfortunately, post download, found out the app actually keeps your photos and can potentially sell them on to third party’s (GDPR issue?). I’m aware that users are meant to know about this through terms and conditions but only about 10% of people actually read them. It is my understanding that consent to hold or share information must be specifically granted in order to do so, and lack of consent should be assumed to be that they don’t wish for it to be kept, ie, not ‘downloading the app assumes you give consent’.
I wasn’t happy in the slightest and immediately deleted the app in attempt to keep some of my privacy in tact, however I fear the damage is already done and they will forever have my photos of myself, and friends and family. It concerns me that the app is suitable for people aged 4 and above as if FaceApp is keeping people’s photos from such a young age, could this not be considered a massive breach of privacy as anyone below the age of 10 is probably completely unaware of what they are giving consent to. Does this also cross the line between legal and illegal activity concerning perhaps a parents photo of a child?

If you, like myself, are cautious concerning your data, please listen. To start off, when I have searched for any privacy policy inside this app my search came up fruitless. I then had to go online and look for the policy. I then found this piece of information embedded inside the long, lengthy text.
“[We may] provide PERSONALIZED content and information to you and others, which could include online ads or other forms of marketing.”
This means that FaceApp collects your data and shows you ads tailored to your personality. FaceApp also collects,
“Device identifiers and LOCATION data.”
FaceApp is a prime example of “free” apps.
Sadly, this is not true as FaceApp collects your personal data which means they MILK you for cash. Although they DON’T sell it to 3rd parties they still have access to your personal information. Personal information about yourself is priceless and no one deserves to have access to it except YOU.
The only reason that I gave it a 2 star review is because it is a fun and entertaining app for everyone. However no person or company deserves your PRIVATE DATA.

Like the app but hate that you only get A selection of choices unless you pay for the pro then you get the full selection this one should have everything and you then have the pro as a separate one that has a different selection on the way it’s set up this is forcing you to upgrade to the pro in order to see everything that’s on offer product placement this is called and I believe that is against the law in certain cases

I opened the app for the first time and pressed “reject offer” or whatever the button said under the “free trial & monthly payment “ option and that screen went away revealing the app, no payment info was shown on screen or any authentication but then whilst scrolling through the filters I had a “thank you for your purchase” message pop up on screen and it says “purchased” if I go on the pro section, I never selected to pay anything or had any payment confirmation show up like it usually does & I pressed reject on the monthly charge button. Extremely concerned I’ve just been scammed into a rolling charge that I have no idea the amount of or where to cancel.

So basically this game is great, me and my friends enjoy messing around on here, but way too many things cannot be accessed unless you have the PRO filter which is annoying as it is so expensive. 😔Also please add more features like maybe a face swap feature, where two peoples faces are switched.👱🏼‍♀️👨🏽‍🦳 Or maybe something that enables you to move the add ons around so the tattoo isn’t on your forehead all the time. 😂😂😂✌🏼

This would have been a great app if not for the purely sexist encouragement, to start of I would request that you don’t put make up on females and beards males when they didn’t select that filter. I would also be careful about the gender swap considering there are more than 2 genders. You should also give an option for females to go bald. However that being said it is a realistic app and good quality however don’t show young children as they are very impressionable. Also I can’t use it for long without it saying unortharised.....how do I fix that?

Not sure if all these other reviews are fake but this doesn’t work at all. After trying to do the one to look like the opposite gender through Facebook and it didn’t work I thought I would try the app.
Firstly any picture I selected it wouldn’t upload it, it wouldn’t allow me to log in via Facebook to gee pictures and also didn’t work when I tried to take a picture through the app it also didn’t work.
So to wrap up, not a single part of this app can actually be used and it’s completely useless and a waste of time

Despite some initial bugs in this app (something that Vlada and her team are passionate in resolving so as to give the app its full potential), it is an excellent way of creating funny and extraordinary images of anyone’s face you decide to change. There are in app purchases that give you access to premium filters, but it’s not compulsory to do this as you can have lots of fun with the basic ones included. It’s up to you to decide if you want the premium filters or not.
For me, this app is just so much fun and brings pleasant surprises with some of the results.
Big congrats to Vlada and the team for an app of sheer brilliance. Keep up the good work guys. 👍🏻😊

This is a terribly misleading app. I bought the pro and I’m immensely disappointed. Why are some filters in collage version? There’s not much to this app, and I can’t believe I wasted money purchasing it. For it to be worth even £1, they need to increase the filter options and to allow for full sized images for those that give your the collage option only. Really wanted to like it, that’s the worse thing. Not to mention, it wouldnt allow me to rate it 1 star. Soon as I change it to 2, boom, it works.
Please can I have my money back from this sham service

This app is misleading. I was under the impression that the watermark was removed, but you still have to put up with the word FaceApp down on the corner of the collage. And whilst we are on that topic, why can I not save the image as a single image? There are very few choices and I became bored after a short while. Very expensive for what lasted just a couple of hours. Lots of improvements needed here – more choices, no logo or watermark and full saves of images to start with. Until then I advise people to save their money.

Any app that can make me laugh out loud like yours just did is worthy of getting my money. However after spending a tenner on it I was left a little disappointed at the lack of real extras that bought me. Please get rid of or improve the Collage function so that the effects can be saved as a single image. And things like adding a fringe (bangs), why only one style!? Little things like this, please use my hard earnt cash to improve on these things so I’ll continue to laugh out loud rather than just delete it after getting bored with it after a few goes.
