SO GOOD

Bit pointless
This app doesn’t actually do anything (much) the basics don’t seem to do much either. Nothing i can’t do on my phone or other editing apps I have .I imagine the subscription version is much better though. I’m only rating the free version. It downloads 1080 in poor quality if editing 4k too. So I’ve decided it’s taking up unnecessary space on my phone !

I do enjoy using this software and app but paying a monthly membership and most of my videos after exporting has glitches in them means it’s not seem less.

Mostly brilliant
Overall I really like Rush. It’s got the best bits of premiere and it is great for time efficiency. I’ve just started using it on a tablet and it’s really responsive.
There are some limitations. The big one is: If you’re internet is glitchy / slow, so is Rush. Some more editing bandwidth on the graphics would be good too.
Also Abode’s subscription payment ‘plan’ is - as everybody agrees - exploitative. Sure Creative Cloud and Adobe Express are also great as sweeteners, but nevertheless Adobe ties you in financially like a cult would.
But, maybe, like me, you can just about afford the £33 annually…
And because I really like (or do I mean ‘am familiar with’?) Adobe’s UI and OS I’ll likely keep going.

A lot of potential
I’m a premiere pro user and I can appreciate this version of premiere a lot it lets me edit on my iPad however it is missing a lot of features. I know they can’t make it as good as premiere pro but there are still a lot of features that would make it a lot better while keeping the ‘rush’ theme like adding markers and automate to markers.

Incredibly Frustrating App
This app is good for what I need to do as a musician putting my own audio from a usb over my video that’s shot on my iPhone its Great... however and a big however if there was another app I could easily do this one feature on I would be using it I literally cannot get through 10 seconds of my video without it jittering & lagging on both audio and video just going completely blank forcing me to close and reopen to start it again. I cannot completely edit my video from start to finish with out my app automatically force closing itself a minimum of 7-10 times a video making the whole process at least 3 times as long I feel as though since purchasing pro on subscription since last November there has been absolutely no improvement or changes to that app what so ever given the amount of “updates” released which I feel really isn’t worth the price tag of 81 odd pound (8.99 a month) I’ve been paying for premium!!! I also have this downloaded on my iPad same problems occur and I have also installed on a laptop which doesn’t even show the video and is so slow all round... on the one hand the finished product looks lovely don’t get me wrong and I’ll give credit where it’s due but on the other for the stress and frustration and inconvenience in time loss this causes I don’t think there’s a way I can describe how incredibly triggering this app is of and the fact you cant render the video in the background is annoying as well 1 phone call through your rendering time your having to wait another hour and 30 minutes for your 5 minute video to complete!! I hope to those of you that read this and choose to use this app have a more easy experience than I have.

Voice and video DO NOT match - waste of £5 a month
I do not know what is going on with this app but honestly it’s just not working for me. There doesn’t seem to be any explanation for it just not working properly. I can’t find a reason, other than the actual code is just not right
I’m an actor and a lot of my work includes having to edit my own work which is made 100% more difficult when I have to go back through clips and adjust the timing because for no reason the audio and video don’t line up

Poor codec support
This app gets really laggy and unresponsive whenever you try to edit a video whose codec is dailymotion/hls.js. Often times I have to convert the video files from dailymotion/hls.js to avc1 just so that I can reliably and comfortably edit the video. It's very inconvenient, and I wish they'd fix it.

Great app very buggy
The ways to edit videos and the overall UI is very nice and easy to use even as a first time video editor. However I encountered many bugs whilst using the app like not being able to export videos and it just randomly crashing. This became very infuriating at times as I would have to redo hours of work as I couldn’t export my work.

Bare basics editing app, don’t spend a penny on this crap.
You would think adobe could create an amazing IOS editing software but you would be wrong.
It crashes, it’s tedious to use, it’s got a terrible render quality.
If you can afford it just buy Lumafusion, if you can’t then just get Splice instead.

Great up to a point….
Before downloading this app, I used to use the standard iOS one. This seemed much better. I could even create 9:16 videos, without having to do a screen record in another app. However there are too many bugs to allow me to continue using it at this time. These include, having the last second of audio duplicated at the end, so I have to edit the clip in my camera roll to cut it out. Also when rendering some projects it got so far and then reported a problem, I worked out this was due to lack of space…easy to fix except that i had one project in the app, which I had spent hours on, and I needed to render it so I could delete the app completely and then re-install - which is the only way to clear the cache currently, 12GB which would have been useful to render the current project lol. There’s a nice range of filters, transitions, and also overlays. I will check back later to see how it’s been updated but for now I will use other apps, sorry Adobe.

I’m so angry with the clunky unintuitive nature of this app and a constant fight to achieve something as simple as batch import of image from files or to insert an image at a point I wish in the timeline rather than zooming in to get the pic, dumped at the end of the timeline, then needing to drag it all the way to the beginning of vid, often going to far and resetting the move. Hideous, disgusting horrible rubbish, in fact I wish to edit in another round of horrible painful to use trash that a premier company such as adobe should improve or give way to those innovating for the better of all.

When combined with the desktop app this can be very useful for editing videos on the fly. Unfortunately it seems to crash fairly often, a rather familiar trait for anyone used to Adobe products. It clearly still needs a little more work.

Where’s the 4K or 2.7k editing went
I can’t save in anything other than 1080 my footage is usually a mix of 2.7 and 4K and I’ve noticed my last couple of videos are 1080 max after saving. I’ve checked all my storage on different iOS mobile devices and I’ve plenty I’ve also got plenty of Adobe storage. Absolutely rubbish now so I will be cancelling my membership and deleting the app

Thought I’d like It
To be honest I was really excited for this, Adobe software is usually great but this, just wasn’t. For a start, practically everything was a premium feature, rows after rows of this is premium, that is premium. I much prefer CapCut it is simple and easy to use, and it has key frames which I love. Whereas this so far as I can see doesn’t, the effects are also terrible step up your game Adobe.

Lost hours of work and feeble excuse
Hours of work vanished. They said it was a bug and ended it. Customer service terrible. Asked for a refund for the year subscription and heard nothing back. It’s a very good platform and easy to use. I like it. But don't expect it to be water tight. Sometimes it takes a long time to catch up with itself and sound gets out of sync. Make sure you back everything up by exporting to your device because it does not automatically syn files to their creative cloud even though it says all files synced. I love and hate it at the same time.

The word is in the name, “rushed”.
This app is basic. It has all the basic effects, settings, and options, and its kinda user friendly, however u need to play around to get used it all. And that’s it, it’s very mediocre in terms of functionality and doesn’t have colour correction or multi cam options, like it’s very very basic.
However the issue in this application isn’t the functionality but lies in the quality. You take so much time and use so much storage to shoot and record in 4K, for the timelime AND export to look like you recorded your whole video with a microwave. Like it’s a big issue and many users have reported for the past few years and they still haven’t addressed it. So it just shows how much attention the app gets and a lot about Adobe. It’s basically a portable and demo version for the premiere pro, so you can then buy the full version.
I wouldn’t recommend this app especially with the fact it’s a monthly subscription. However would definitely recommend lumafusion instead, has everything and WAY more than this app.
It is a shame really, because this app had a lot of potential.

Glitchy and bleaches videos
This used to be great, I used it for months with no issues and found it easy to use with good features. Recently it’s started randomly bleaching sections of video and almost applying a crackly glitching effect in others. It’s been a nightmare as I’ve spent time putting together and editing to then find the export is useless. Have searched on Google
For fixes and seems it’s a common issue with no resolution. Tried all the usual remove app and re download but it does nothing so I gave up on it and paid for another app. It’s a shame but it’s not worth risking wasting loads of time with.

Absolutely Great!
I find it great, i like to make little movie edits and it is great, you can buy the premium version but the free version is brill anyway. Way better than iMovie and it keeps all the videos on the app even if youve deleted them from you camera roll. 5/5 would definitely recommend! 😁😁

Good app but a bit fiddly
I got premier rush a few weeks back and to be honest there aren’t that many complaints
I have to say that making the switch from iMovie to this has been fantastic but as a cod player, trying to sync my clips can be quite hard. In premier pro you can quite easily set up markers in your music and then sync them but in this you kind of have to do a bit of trial and error.
My other complaint is that the effects don’t always work on short clips
Other than these two minor things I have really been enjoying this app and can’t wait to see what updates there will be for the future

Brilliant features but glitchy
The app is really well thought out and a load of useful features, but it keeps on glitching and freezing, sometimes undoing my latest edit when I come back onto the app. It recently also said that my latest project could not open. I’ve tried everything that safari has told me to do but it still won’t work. I’m using an iPad Pro so I wouldn’t think m6 device is much of a problem. And the thought of losing my work is really awful. Love the features but the bugs and glitches NEED to be fixed

Too many glitches
A very good app... when it works. But sadly it just comes with too many glitches. Random, unexpected crashes. Sound disappearing. Files refusing to load. Many of these issues can be rectified by restarting the app but users simply should not have to do that. This isn’t an app by some small independent developer...it am app by Adobe! With that name and reputation I think we should be able to expect a smooth and glitch free experience. God knows what Adobe are doing here but frankly this is a substandard product as it stands. It either gets fixed or I go elsewhere. Very disappointing from Adobe.

Frustrating render fail
I downloaded this, so I could edit videos on the go via my iPad. Instead of having to wait until I got home to use Premiere Pro on my Mac. Spent hours editing the first video, only to be greeted with the fail message when trying to share and render the video. After scouring the forums for a fix, only to find that this is a known glitch in Rush that’s been about for the last couple of years. Apparently if you add graphics and overlays to your video, it won’t render from Rush mobile app. And Adobe have still NOT fixed it. Shocking when I’m paying for full CC subscription. I then had to re-edit the video from scratch in Premiere Pro on my desktop Mac. What a waste of a day! App now deleted! And am searching for alternative.

What has happened to this app?
I’ve been using this app for around 2 years, and in my opinion it was one of the best editing apps I’ve ever used, but in the past few months this app is literally unusable, consistently crashes whilst making minor chances to my video which is just pathetic. Will most likely stop using this app until it is fixed and if it even gets a fix. At this rate i dont even think the developers really care since theres been no improvement over the past months. Very disappointed!

Brilliant (almost)
I used to use Adobe Premiere on a high end desktop twenty years ago; it was the best available. Now I do just as well with Rush; it has all the most useful features that a home editor (and even some pros) could need (multiple tracks, titles, include photos as well as video, trimming, simple but effective transitions etc etc). The basic functionality is pretty intuitive, and similar to the old Premiere interface (which I remember was intuitive the first time I used it). My only gripe is that more advanced features can be really un-intuitive to find and use: adding titles is relatively easy, but it took me ages to figure out how to change the words on the title (despite extensive Googling), and it took me a while to find the button to change the way still images get framed (Rush does its own thing by default, so when its wrong its really wrong and I had to change it). Overall, its powerful, effective, and relatively simple to use. With some minor tweaks to the user interface it could be awesome (but it'll take a LOT of effort to find the RIGHT tweaks!).

Could be better
It’s a great app, I like the layout - I would be willing to use the app exclusively and subscribe just to get the auto framing feature which I think is clever.... however, it’s still basic compared to Videoleap (free app, with subscription options). The one feature what’s missing for me and stopping me from using this is Keyframing. Once that’s added, it’ll be a serious contender to the other apps.

Waste of time
I have used this on my phone a couple of times with some issues 50% of the time.
So I decided to try on a laptop. Awful. It took 10X longer than it should (I’m an ex editor) everything delayed, froze and became jittery in playback 9/10 times. Finally get to exporting and play the video back once in a folder and I was pleasantly surprised at how crisp the picture was that was until half of my video is missing and replaced with a black screen.
Reporting issues or trouble shooting is impossible.
It’s obviously pointless continuing with this system. I’m going back to my old editing system, they’re worth paying for.

Major app, minor flaws
The UI is simple and easy to use. The transitions, audio layover, lack of ads and easy clip editing are all wonderful features on a FREE video editing app features.
The only catch is that, when I’m rendering lots of footage, the app crashes and closes. To be fair changes made pre-crash are saved, but its just frustrating reopening the app, and I doubt its due to my device as I’m not editing 4K video and its on my iPad Pro 2020 which can handle raw 4K footage just fine.

Great simple interface but has some issues
I been working with this app for a couple of weeks now editing gaming videos where I have the gaming footage and footage of myself overlapping but in a small window in the upper right or left.
Everything worked relatively well for the first project however when starting the second project the app would just refuse to import any of my videos? Maybe the app is not powerful enough but when I try to import, the loading bar loads quickly but then goes straight back down and fails. I mustn’t forget to mention I had 1 or 2 app crashes when editing the first project. I’ve tried everything I can think of on my end including compressing the video size, deleting and re downloading the app, cutting my videos into videos to import and even using a different more powerful device but nothing has worked. This is such a shame as after the first project I was really considering paying for the full package.
All in all a very good app with a lot of capabilities but I think its still in its early development and has its fair share or bugs that need to be resolved.

Great app but keeps crashing
Premier Rush is a great video editing app for the iPad, and bearing in mind it's free it gives you a lot of options in terms of what you can do. When compared to iMovie, it's a little harder to use, but again, for an iPad app and a free one, it offers more.
However, one thing that ruins the experience is that it keeps crashing. The app will stop when playing back the timeline and then will close by itself. I think this is the app itself as other apps like iMovie will work fine.
If this issue is fixed, I will be able to recommend this app, but otherwise the crashing every 5 minutes makes an otherwise great app for people who are starting out on an iPad not fill it's potential.

Very good quality. Few small problems that could be fixed.
When importing videos longer than 20 minutes or so. The bar almost goes all the way and then starts from scratch. Then it doesn’t load at all. It just stays in one spot. Then other times u can load it in perfectly fine and u import it then u go to edit it and it’s not there on ur timeline even though u just imported it from ur photos. I don’t know if this is fixable or if it’s my device as far as I know a few other people that use it have had the exact same problem. Few tweaks need to be fixed here and there. Such as music fade and a few more effects maybe but apart from that it’s a good little mobile editor for ur films.

Issue
When I play a video somewhere, it takes 10 seconds at most to load the video again? Also the video screen will be frozen while the sound is playing? Overall the app is great but this is the biggest issue which I had when I got this app. So I can’t give it 5 stars.

Crashes constantly when trying to edit on 4K
It would also help if it shows the font format in the font menu with the titles in order to understand what the relevant font looks like. Also, most apps allow for reverse video function, this is to allow for a recorded video to be shown backwards. If you are asking for £8.99 a month then I am expecting a great up with exceptional functionality and not basic.

Great App but Adobe must take care of it
I am giving one stat because i am very disappointed from Adobe. Program itself is very good easy to learn and gives you amazing features like denoising as example which u cannot find in any other app (unless you buy one exactly for this). All good but...a month ago after the last update i renewed my subscription and the videos that i made (which i really needed to export asap because they were for work) became a waste of time because the App crashed every time i try to adjust something or when i try to export. I sent a bug report with logs and everything as they requested but just no answer no action ..nothing. So i had to find an App and do everything all over again which was really annoying. Then i was like okay maybe because of the update now they will fix it since there are so many topics about this and othet problems on the forums, but no..a month wasted ..wasted money wasted time and overall really disappointed because of this. I understand that there are many thing Adobe is looking after but you cannot launch an App ( i used it on the new ipad pro 11”) by such a company and be so poor with your customer service... once i see you did some work i will change my review.

Brilliant
This app has saved me as a media teacher. Over the years iMovie has become a shadow of its former self and is now so dumbed down that I can’t recommend it to enthusiastic kids to start making movies on their phones and iPads. Enter Rush which offers a real, stripped down editor with multiple tracks and creative control. I think it’s phenomenal what can now be done on a mobile device and the kids I’ve recommended it to have produced some fantastic work. Good job, Adobe.

❤️ the app, hate the fee.
Great app. I’ve never had any problems with it and I don’t think I will in the future. This has helped me in particular (an aspiring filmmaker) with filming on iPhone as I don’t have the money for a camera.
So before I said it was great and whatnot but I just found out it’s not entirely free so that was a waste. So if you are willing to pay I would recommend filmic pro instead but if not use this and just not upload it onto any other platform.
A cheat you can do is screenrecord the video you made then upload it. SSHH, don’t tell anyone.

Was great for a few days but it now crashes!! HELP
I have been working on a project for nearly a week and the app was being great and having no problems at all. Then it started acting up and and doing things such as when I’d crop a video and play it, the video would jump and “lag” so that I couldn’t see the video smoothly. Then today when I tried opening the app, it would crash straight away. I noticed on the other app called adobe Ps Express would crash as well. I have been working very hard on that project and now it’s ruined and I cant even finish it because it keeps crashing! I have been frantically trying other apps but it’s not as good as this one! I would have given this app a solid 5 star but it’s just crashed on me. Please please please sort this out!!

So Much Potential.....Incredibly Unreliable
I am using a brand new iPad Pro 2020 with this app. In terms of content and what it can actually do; great. However, it’s so unreliable. Crashes so many times and without a coherent pattern. Sometimes at the beginning of a project it just won’t render, and therefore no playback to edit. Worse, sometimes halfway through or having almost completed a project, it just decides not to render anymore and constantly crashes.
So so frustrating. Maybe it’ll improve with updates, but at the moment honestly even iMovie is more reliable.

Can’t handle more than 2 video tracks
I got this app to be able to make music videos during the lockdown and with what you can do the app is great.
I can sync my music to the video, create split screens, colour grade, etc, it’s great.
But if you, like me, have to use more than 2 video tracks then the app keeps crashing when I’m making small adjustments to the clips. Like moving, extending, shortening. I can only work for a few minutes before the app decides it’s had enough and crashes.
This is being run on an iPhone 11 Pro so shouldn’t have any issue, but I’m becoming increasingly frustrated just trying to edit a video that should only take an hour or two but having to spend and entire day in it.
If it didn’t have this issue then this app would be an easy 5 stars for me, but at the moment I can only give it 2 as most of the time I want to throw my phone across the room in frustration. So I can’t recommend this app to anyone until this fundamental issue is resolved.

Outstanding
I’m so happy 😀.
I’ve spent so long looking for a video editor like this which can import, edit and export video in portrait mode from a phone. It’s also straightforward to add some landscape clips into the mix, cropping to taste.
It’s also extremely easy to do quite advanced editing with a very clear and simple interface. It works equally well on my Windows laptop and my iPad pro with simple drag/drop/pinch/zoom control.
Numerous export options are the icing on the cake.

If only it actually rendered..
It’s a nice smooth editing app.. until it gets too much for itself to even function properly! Adobe have tried to make it look ‘cool’ with lots of tools, but forgot about making it actually useable without giving us a headache! I’ve only done 1 video which lasts 2 minutes and i can’t watch it through without it glitching, never mind the poor rendering system.

Expected Better
As a long time premiere user across different platforms I have to say as pleased as I am with the functionality of the app itself, I cannot get passed how frequently this app crashes.. and it appears to happen more often as your project increases in size. A session of three hours or so saw about 6 random crashes.. luckily no progress lost but heavily affects seamlessness of your work. I so badly wanna give these guys my money but I simply would have expected better stability from a company of this stature demanding a subscription price this high.

Crashes on export EVERY time. Unusable.
Once upon a time this app worked quite well. It’s got an incredibly useable interface and it made editing so much easier on my iPhone. But it has now completely stopped working. I’ve tried exporting a 100mb file all day to no avail; it just closes the app suddenly about 75% through the export.
100mb is nothing as in the past I’ve used it for files over 1gb. I’ve updated it and still nothing.
All questions about this, that tonnes of people have asked online, have gone unanswered, showcasing the poor, poor customer service of Adobe on this issue.
It works perfectly up until export. So you confidently work through your whole project, for hours and days, to be completely left without any end product.
Terrible functionality and it’s a shame. Loved this app not long ago hence why I paid for it. Now it doesn’t work. Waste of money; use a different app. I implore you!!!

Quite worse then it seems
I mean, editing on the app is okay. If it was similar to Kinemaster in which having Chroma Key, fast forwarding/reversing/slow motion and adjust movement of clips then it’d be a massive improvement. I acknowledge that Kinemaster is a supreme pro editing software and most editing softwares are the same. I appreciated and like the overlays included in this app. Subtle updates similar to the PC program would be a worth effort. If the free trial of more than 3 exports, maybe like 5, then that’s okay. Exporting the video is such a headache, if I just swipe down my notification centre, it takes a whole lot effort to restore that exportation. Maybe these concepts are already added but it would be a great pleasure to add a button to start tutorial again if you pressed skip and to make the tutorials much more clearer. Thanks!

Thumbnails and playback images keep vanishing!
Spent 3+ hours editing a video before the timeline went blank and no images were showing in the edit. The timeline continues to move and the audio is there but all thumbnail images have gone and the video has been replaced with a black screen.
Fortunately I am not a subscribed user as I was testing this out but this is a total fail and has made my decision for me. A real shame as early impressions were very positive, but several forums confirm this is an issue for others as well. Not a memory or hardware issue as I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro with over 200GB of free storage and no other apps open.

Delightful app - but one huge fix needed!
Was delighted to see PP had an iPhone app, as a video journalist this was terrific news, and while it’s really handy to use, there were two missing elements which I’ve found it very difficult to edit without: the ability to split audio and video, and ability to add audio transitions, to make the snip from clip to clip sound smoother. Please please please add these, and you’ll have a super app. Not much use without I’m afraid.

Disappointed
Adobe, come on guys what are you doing here with your apps?? You NEED to keep up with the competition in regards to basic features like transitions! I am a long time adobe user, and premier has always been my go to, but I have been persuaded to move on, by the shear lack of development of Adobe Rush. All I see is ‘performance updates’ and not ‘50 new transitions’ which is what everyone needs with this app.
I truly hope that dev leaders read these reviews, and I hate to say it, but I’m done. I’ll be downloading LumaFusion and using that from now on. Rush is just a bit of a lacklustre disappointment. Charge for it, and make it the amazing video editing suite it should be!

Really like this, if only it wouldn’t keep freezing!
This app is really well thought out in my opinion, interface is so easy to use and has plenty of great features! Only problem I’m having is it keep freezing, so I’ve yet to even complete a video as it’s waaaaay to frustrating! The few minutes wait for ‘preparing media’ is also a tad annoying! So only three stars from me! I really hope the performance issues are sorted out soon, then this will be an amazing app!
Edit- Recent update is horrible for me, it’s even worse than before! I managed to get along with the performance issues I was having before, I got 70% of the way through a great video I’m rather pleased with. I had purposely turned off the sync as that seemed to be causing most of the crashes and was going to sync again once finished and ready to render. Then along came a long awaited update! After it was finished my video is totally destroyed😭😡 everything is out of sync, showing the wrong sections of clips I’d trimmed and all sorts! Rather gutted, and now it crashes literally every 4 mins!! Otherwise I think I’m going to have bite the bullet and give up on it!

Good editing settings but many glitches in the apo
I love the easiness of cutting and tuning with music or without of each clip. Very straightforward for someone who is familiar with basic editing software.
I experienced many glitches when editing. The first was the font not being found after how many hours of editing, then the delay when each video would take to playback (it must have delayed me by 45mins at least in my first 5 hours of using the app) and finally after my first time of exporting, I find that my timing has been altered. Now whether that could have been my finger accidentally swiping the music for 0.05 seconds that caused it, I find the switching recording footage sometimes difficult to move.
I perhaps would suggest using the pc as oppose to the app in that case.
I liked that this app links too Dropbox and font variation is more than sufficient. 3 stars!

Good app but with major problem!
So first of all this is a great app that has a lot of features that aren’t often found on iOS. Despite this I have found that when editing the video playback is extremely laggy and this makes it very difficult to know what the finished video will look like. Also I find it unfair in the sense that when I was rendering a video, it got cancelled yet the app says that I only have 2 downloads left even though I should still have 3. Other than that I do really recommend it.

App devs should concentrate on the basics
I found myself constantly fighting the interface on this app. I suspect it is slightly better on an iPad as opposed to iPhone but it was incredibly frustrating.
The biggest problem is that the UI tries to help and constantly gets it wrong. Are expand audio, duplicate and delete really things so commonly used as to have them on an auto pop up? Similarly the auto gap close on the timeline is a nightmare if trying to match video to music. Which by the way you can’t seem to make a music clip longer after shortening it. Also could find ways of changing every aspect of text apart from the text itself!!!!
IF IT’S RELIABLE then it may be ok for doing some basic trimming type editing but that’s all in which case why do they put so much other functionality in????

Good, but fails in stability where Adobe clip does not
I’ve been using Adobe Clip which is good but limited, and so I decided to give Rush a go. I make and edit videos on my iPhone 8 Plus for my grassroots charity.
There are pros and cons between both apps. But the biggest fault I have with Rush is that some clips are turning out all distorted. I tried re-uploading. Further, I exported one project which looked fine to my camera roll and then when I played it back some clips were distorted.
So what a waste of my time since Rush only gives 3 free exports... and they were rendered duds and useless. Thanks for nothing

No playback speed option?
Such a shame that this handy little app doesn’t offer basic editing options like playback speed. I already pay for the photography pack that this is included in thankfully, but there’s no WAY I’d pay the prices for this single app alone when it doesn’t even have the most basic of basic editing options... and the irony of being called “Rush” and not even having that feature?! Please update the app with this feature and then I may be able to use it for what I need!

Disappointing and extortionate
I just spent four hours editing a video only to find out that you have to pay to export more than three. That’s fine for this one, but when I went to export it, it took 15 minutes of rendering before it told me there was an error sending to camera roll. Despite the fact that it DIDNT SAVE TO MY PHONE it still counted as one of the three exports. It also didn’t tell me what caused the error, which means I have no way to guarantee it doesn’t happen again. If you’re going to release a product as a “trial” then at least make it known to the users otherwise you’re just baiting them into wasting time on a product they won’t be able to use in the future. Considering this massive error and humongous waste of my time, I don’t even want to purchase it. Shoddy marketing despite the otherwise perfect editing software.

It’s pretty good
It’s intuitive and powerful but a bit buggy. It always loses media whenever I import more than a handful of files at a time, so I have to go back to scrolling through my videos to relink the ones it missed. Thumbnails fail to display in the timeline a lot too. And you can’t edit the speed of a video which would be very helpful. Still, I have been impressed overall.

Good, but a few issues.
Love the concept of the app, working across multiple platforms, but having started a project on the i-phone and then continuing on the i-Mac
there are issues with the footage turning completely red! Very frustrating! Also, time remapping is not available (it is in i-movies) and to fade an audio track requires a video transition effect! Again, easily done in i-movies! All these issues can be resolved by exporting to Premier Pro, which sort of defeats the object of having Rush in the first place. I would hope Adobe will resolve these issues quickly. I do like the way the app updates via the Creative Cloud, really cool. However, unless I’ve missed something, I don’t see a way of syncing back to Rush directly from Premier Pro. The only option is to export from PP as normal and then airdrop the MP4 back to my phone.
Overall a good app, but needs further development and improvement.

total shock at subscription
Shocked.. absolutely shocked by your greed Adobe. I urge all Premiere Pro subscribers to dump this app. Absolutely shocked and disgusted. Really REALLY didn’t see this coming.
I’ve been using Premiere for nigh on 2 decades and have been waiting for a phone version for a while now. There are other editing apps out there but I’ve stayed loyal to Adobe trusting that they will get it right when the time is right.
Voila... notifications Adobe Rush. Cool. Wait
For the weekend. Clear some space on my phone. Download the app. Let’s have a look and see what the wait has been for. I was really excited. Now I just feel utterly cheated.
The app works ok. Importing footage took some time. About 5 mins for 2 mins worth of video.
Timeline, effects etc basic but seemingly worked, if not a bit cumbersome.
Export time about 5 mins for a 2m 22s consisting of about 5 video clips, a couple of transitions, one trim and a video title.
Nothing special but I had faith...
Until...
Until I heard that there is a monthly subscription fee on top of the £45 a month I already spend on Premiere.
Adobe... I urge you to rethink this. In fact, I can hand on heart tell you, it ain’t gonna happen with me. I would prefer to prove myself completely disloyal to you over shedding a single penny extra for an average phone app that lets face it is already long overdue.

Lightroom for video
Great application, UI is nicely laid out for touch interface, it provides those features that are the next stage up from iMovie without going all out to premiere like features which just aren’t needed for phone videos.
Wish there was a different limitation for the free version, i.e. it could link in with your existing premiere subscription like lightroom mobile does with an existing photography plan. Not sure how much I will use this considering being limited to 3 exports without paying an additional £8.99 a month ontop of the £30-40 I already pay for the professional services I use day in day out on desktop for the past 5 years

Works well but is limited
Rush is better than Adobe’s Clip app but there is definitely an opportunity to do more with it.
On the plus side, it is simple to import clips, cut and transform footage.
Areas to improve on: Rearranging clips is a bit more cumbersome and needs to be improved. Their Instagram insinuates people can change the speed of clips using Rush when actually, they can’t. I’ve tried editing their Titles feature and it doesn’t seem possible to create something of your own, you can only adapt the limited number of templates. They seem to all appear and disappear with a transition that you can’t adapt.
I would still use it for very basic tasks like stitching footage together but now I know not to expect a lot more from it. Definitely room for improvement.

We are living in the future!
Absolutely excellent v1.0. As much power as you will need for ‘most peoples’ fairly advanced video editing. Video and audio tracks, titles, brilliant colour correction, easy sharing built for social media. It is so so good. If Adobes track record with Lightroom CC is anything to go by; more useful features will be added quickly. They have absolutely smashed it!

A great v1.0 but remember it is just 1.0
Overall this is a really impressive v1.0 product.
Colour grading is excellent. Elements of the UI are clunky and a little buggy, it’s not the easiest thing to navigate on iPhone but it’s really good.
Would love keyframing. Would love a hex number entry on the colour wheel. Would love a little more control over transition speed and I’d love more control generally BUT this is v1.0. It will improve from a great baseline.
