I downloaded the app and was really excited to play it, but a subscription page came up so I kept on clicking ‘continue’. I got to a page where it said I cold start a free trial but I didn’t want to pay. So I clicked around but I couldn’t find an ‘X’ button or any kind of exit button where I could get off the subscription page. This is really frustrating because all of the reviews I read said that I could click off that page. I even searched it up and it said that there might be something hidden that I could click but I couldn’t find ANYTHING to click off it. This is horrible and I do not recommend this app if you’ve got to pay to play it. I just want to use filters for free and it’s pointless if Ive got to pay £20 a month. Amazing app!!!But…..

This is a fabulous app that lets you use face filters and have lots of fun!! Every day I enjoy to use these fun filters and send pictures too my friends!!! Although I have given it 5 stars I am struggling to use the “Who were you in your past life?” And “Which celebrity do you look like filter” Because every time I take a photo of my face it says “ No face detected “ I think that there might be a glitch for them but all the other filters are brilliant🤩!!!

My honest opinion is it’s alright but lots of the filters are glitchy and it only lets me take so many pictures so I can do the voice changer and there’s only about ten filters I went on before about a week ago and hardly anything changed there were about 5 filters that have changed and on the recent filter apps I have downloaded some of the filters were the same as the ones on the previous apps. not worth the it!!

so i have used this app for a really long time like before it was even called funveo and it used to be such a fun free filter app where i could have fun with my photos. then they changed the name from banuba to funveo. not a big deal and that wasn’t where the problems started. suddenly i took *TWO* photos and when i attempt to take a third one it said “sorry you are out of free trials” what??? then i realised that it put a large watermark on all of my photos? then i was like how much does the premium cost fine!! it’s TWENTY TWO POUNDS A MONTH. for what some filters?? there is no point of making this game free if you can’t even enjoy it 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️ i wouldn’t recommend

It’s ok..

I got this app a few years ago when I was about nine because I wasn’t allowed Snapchat at the time, and I used this because I thought that it would be similar. The filters are ok, but some of them didn’t work and it took ages for the app to load, so I just gave up. Some of the filters are actually not that bad, but, others are quite a disappointment. The free trial was an option which I didn’t get, but if you didn’t buy it, you were limited to how many apps you could get.

Let’s just think about this for a minute

Wow this app is amazing. If your a person like me who ain’t allowed Snapchat then i think this is the app for you! Don’t get me wrong it is a shame that there arnt Snapchat filters on this app. You can chat to other people if you out rosie number in and things like that but if you don’t want too that’s fine and if you do it keeps you completely safe. This all is amazing you can get lots of different filters. Sadly they don’t work on more than one person but they are amazing. Some of them have nice make up on and you can like yourself and there is different filters everyday but you will access them 24hours later form your first previous visit on that app each day. The all is amazing and if you want you can add more filters on and get premium which is amazing. I won’t spoil much. People also think this as a way to get away from some stress and upsetting things because sometimes this can make you laugh and have a bit of music on the filters if your phone isn’t on silent! I wish my brother new that! When your at work as well on a break or anything it’s always avoid distraction. Download the app! :) xx

Great app but a little flaw

This app is amazing especially if you are not allowed snap like me but there is a little problem that both me and my friend has. Whenever you do the who is my twin celebrity or what I looked like in the past life when you click the button it kicks you out the game. I was quite disappointed when this didn’t work but the filters are great!

•Fun but not enough filters•

I had downloaded this game because I couldn’t have Snapchat. I really wanted an app like That so I searched “filters” on App Store and found this (and obviously then installed it).

When I first logged on I was really excited about trying new filters on friends or myself but after about 10mins it got really annoying. To get more filters you had to either had ti watch videos, send invites to your contacts or ask questions about the app if it’s good or not.

Funveo, please make the more like Snapchat and so there are lots more filters 💖🤍🍓

Great but…

Ok great app love it it I mean it can get a bit addictive but I mean is that a good thing for the app because it’s so popular or does it mean people are getting to addicted they need to delete the app. Well I think this is a great app but I think the workers should set some limits on settings. I also have to say the best filters you have to pay for to save I mean people want to send pictures of themselves to friends looking awesome! But then on the other hand isn’t that how they make money? Except from those 2 complaints I think that this app is very enjoyable and safe!

My honest opinion…

This app is great… but the weird thing is I had a text from a random stranger saying “want to be friends on this app” and I didn’t even know them and had already had this app before that. I would say to any parents reading this hi umm just make sure that you don’t end up with your child having a heart attack because of this. If your worried I did block the number.

But overall the app is great for a free filter app! The annoying thing is that some off the filters you have to watch an add or invite a friend if you don’t have premium but it’s great. They do change every 24 hours though. You can’t have to people with filters on there face though.

Great Filters App!

This is a great filters app. I get loads of enjoyment playing around with the funny and pretty filters! It’s great that a normal user has access to the majority of the features but some of the really cool filters are premium and as a non-premium user it’s a bit frustrating! I appreciate the fact that this is how you make money through the app but maybe if everyone had full access to the filters it would be a more interesting experience.

And also whenever I look at ‘who were you in your past life’ etc etc sometimes I come up as the opposite gender of what I am 😂! It’s funny but it’s probably not as accurate as it says!

Overall a great filters app…would reccomend.

This app is definitely the one to download!! The filters are all funny and spectacular! One thing wrong though. When I downloaded this app I thought that the filters would work on 2 people but they don’t.

Read before you download …

Not as good as filters on Snapchat , and I only wish the retouch your selfie features looked like they where shown in fact they make you look more like a chipmunk then anything. You have to wait day and days to get new filters and one filters you already had randomly disappear become premium or have to be unlocked . Some filters are quite nice but most aren’t that great

Update …

Getting better , developers responded immediately and where very kind the filters are getting better but my face swap feature isn’t there and some filters don’t work, still stop work to be done in the retouch my selfie . Thanks u developers for being so on point

Really Good Fun but.....

It’s really fun to play with but each day the filters get replaced by new ones which means if you wanna do a cool photo with a filter you have to do it today. Some times the old filters come back again and sometimes it can take a while. Another problem is some don’t fit on your face they just hover near your face and wiggle about. My friend tried a filter and it wouldn’t mould onto her face(not my face either) some of them work and some are terrible. Other than that its really fun and it has a wide range of filter from beauty to funny! Hope this helps!!!

Hehe I love it

This app is so funny and entertaining and I love it! I like the filters change to keep things fresh but I don’t like losing my favourite filters. Anyway, some of them are great for selfies but when you take a picture it has a huge Banuba logo over it, can you make it smaller and possibly put it in the corner so I can get more benefit out of the pics I take. The voice changers are hilarious and the video and pic qualities are really good - they aren’t blurry like some other apps. Overall, this app is all it said it was - funny, quality and for all ages - TY DEVELOPERS!!! ⭐️

Great! But some minor issues...

I love this app, and it’s so much like snapchat, without the messaging. The only problem is that there aren’t that many filters, and some of them don’t work. Also, when the filters change, I hate losing my favourites. One time I was gunna meet up with my friends and I told them I had a great filter we could take a selfie with. The next day I had lost my filter, so I used a different one which was when I discovered the biggest problem... THE FILTERS ONLY WORK ON ONE FACE! 😞 My friends were disappointed and so was I. Please please please make some improvements so I can take more awesome selfies!! 🙃

Great but needs a little work

Great but some filters I really like go away and get replaced by some bad ones why not add new ones but don’t get rid of the old ones unless people have said they are really bad and I wish it was more like Snapchat because I am one of the kids who isn’t aloud Snapchat or tiktok or anything I had to beg and wait four days for this so if you could make it slightly more like Snapchat maybe make it so you could add people and talk to them and be able to type in filters would be great but I understand developing apps isn’t easy so I appreciate it might take a while all efforts and information on developments aren’t taken lightly

Worth money

So I got this app and I was so excited it came up with pictures of stuff we can do you keep pressing continue and it says you need to pay 22 Pounds a month but stay with me there is a little cross at the side and you can only put silly things like sunglasses and allsorts of stuff like that so it is really really fun but we can’t get everything watch that was continue but you can still just put some funny stuff on your face not in real life will come up and it’s so fun but it’s just that you can’t do as much stuff with you hope to but if I are you are by this app now because it’s really fun but just don’t pay £22 a month they can if you want but I thought I would you I wouldn’t anywaysThat’s why I thought to give it a four star bye thanks for reading this just remember only if you’re rich or if you do wanna pay £22 a month for a munch then I wouldn’t do it but it’s up to you bye

Banuba

I like the fact that you can use different filters. And I think that’s the only thing I like about the app. When I go onto the app, the filters aren’t there and my screen is unresponsive. I then go on again and when I try to take the selfie my screen freezes and then doesn’t take it properly. PLEASE IMPROVE THIS APP. I have an IPhone 8 and I haven’t got any issues with the phone and everything else works fine. Also, why put a subscription when you can just unlock the different masks and then make a subscription expensive?

Great app just a few difficulties

Don’t get me wrong this app is absolutely great!! I love most of the filters, I purposely put most becuase I was tak taking pictures with my brother and one filter said he was going to die in a coffee shop next year and another one said he was going to get taken by aliens on the fifth day after the red moon. That is practically like the only problem I have I mean this is a great app is that thing that kind of made me think umm should I really be seeing this?! So all in all a great app just a few minor difficulties. So I would definitely recommend it to a person like me he’s not allowed tick-tock Instagram or Snapchat or just some funny filters you can’t take them with your friends but it’s just a great app really funny really cool so yeah I get it!!

Glitches & changes

My friend recommended this app to me and at first it was great. But I then realised that all of the filters change after 24 hours or less. The filters that they had when I first got the app were great, so why change them? It just really annoys me.

I’ve had it for about 3 days already and all of the filters have changed about 7 times - every time they got worse.

Now, there is this filter which is called ‘Hero’ and you basically play a mini game and find out what superhero you are, which is a great idea. Therefore I wanted to find out but when I go on that one or after, it glitches so the app closes itself which is really frustrating.

I would recommend to get it but be aware that there will be a few minor issues. I’m not allowed to have Snapchat so I thought that this would be similar, but after the filters expire, every day they get worse and worse.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this review. I love this app . I tried some of the filters and they made me and my sister laugh . And the find your celebrity lookalike was really fun. The only thing is every few hours they get changed over . And way to many ads to get Banuba premium pop up . But this is amazing. I honestly got this just for a joke but it was really fun. I literally use it everyday. Anyway I do recommend this app to anyone. Thx so much for taking your time to read my review. Awesome 😂

I don’t know how many hours I spend messing around with filters on Banuba, but I don’t care because I love this app! Please can everyone, stop coming at Banuba and saying they ‘copied Snapchat’ because basically Banuba is a kid friendlier version of Snapchat. I love this app because there are so many filters! I love how there are some hilarious ones, and I especially love all the weird ones.

If your looking for an app like Snapchat, get this one! I personally think it’s better. You can get season-themed filters, and also really cool ones. I take loads of selfies using Banuba and they are all so cool and all my friends say they look great. I don’t personally care about premium, (the filters change every 24 hours and sometimes you may get filters that were premium last time you used the app, which aren’t premium at the minute which is great!) but if you really like the picture you took with a premium filter, then you can just screenshot it!

You can totally change using Banuba, you can use filters which make your eyes bigger and head smaller (good for those who want to take a ‘cute’ Snapchat-like selfie) and you can even get a beard or age by 70 years 🤣. I am so happy that I downloaded Banuba because it’s so much fun, and you can have a blast and take super awesome pictures and even stay safe at the same time (which might not be a privilege with Snapchat). You don’t/can’t make an account, which means you could only post Banuba selfies on various social media sites (if you want). I love Banuba! Best of luck for the developers! 😛❤️

Hello! First of all, I think this app is amazing but there are a few features that I think would make it so much better.

1) More filters like Snapchat please. Etc. Peaches 🍑 on cheeks, butterfly on cheeks, beauty face masks and things like that.

2) I think you need a timer on taking a video or photo. I also think that you shouldn’t have to hold it down to take a video because then you can’t take a video from a distance.

3) Please can you make it so that more than one person can have the filter??? Either this or add more background filters so we can take stuff with our friends and family. Thank you so much Banuba and please reply to this but without an automated message. Thanks! 💕

Targeting children & sending wrong message

The app itself fulfilled it’s purpose for me; to have a few minutes fun with my baby daughter. What concerns me is how the app, and I’m sure many similar apps, are configured.

As soon as you open it, you are encouraged to press a big green button that, after a limited period of time, results in a very expensive ongoing subscription paid for via Apple ID. The alternative, to avoid paying, is hidden and not obvious.

As you use the app, you are encouraged to watch ads (“videos”) encouraging children to download apps to result in “more friends and more followers”. Is this what our children should be encouraged to believe is ‘good’?

Apps like this may well result in people finding more happiness, but like loot boxes in games (now understood to be a form of gambling that children should be protected from), I would encourage the regulators to take a look at the lack of transparency with these offerings and their influence on children.

Absolutely amazing!!!

I LOVE this app and really recommend it the filters are so good and there’s some rlly cute ones! The only thing I would say is that the filters change too quickly so I don’t get much time with them.

Some things I will ask for - plz can we add stickers to our photos and make a bitmoji so we can use that as a sticker too. I would also like to be able to swap filters throughout the videos I create. Thank you and I recommend this app to anyone who likes transforming and has a great imagination.

Great here are my opinions

I think that you should add more filters like snapchat so the purple butterfly one and the peach emojis and the facemask ones. I also think that we should be able to pick 3 of our favourite filters and then when the filters change we can still have our favourite ones. It would also be super fun if you could make the filters work on more than 1 person. I don’t know if that comes in the upgrade but the upgrade is way to expensive £22 a month ! Thats how much a phone can cost a month and that is way to expensive for filters.

I would appreciate if you took in my thoughts thank you so much other than that a great app xxx

Ill tell yall a story so all my friends have snapchat and all the face fliters, So I went looking on the App Store for face filter apps at the time I was also looking for video editing apps to start my channel by the way go Sub to Teddylife, anyway I was downloading an editing app and an ad pops up it’s this BRILLANT APP, I look at the reviews pretty good so I try the app!! Amazing now I know I don’t have all the face filters but I love this app all my friends are jelous and it’s good enough without paying because there is only a few u don’t get but over all I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS APP SO MUCH

I love this app and as I am not allowed to get snapchat yet and don’t listen to the people saying it is bad coz it is the best. If you are too young to get snapchat or have very strict parents or even just don’t enjoy owning Snapchat just get this as it is now my favourite app by far ♥︎♥︎♥︎ I just wish you could get more filters without paying because I don’t want to waste money if I don’t like the filters so if they were all for free I would love the app even more❣︎ Also having the filters changing every 12 hours or so can get annoying coz u lose the filters u love 😭😘

Hate it 😠

Pls anyone who has this app stop giving it such good reviews oviosly I get why people like it I mean I loved it at first I found I funnny. STOP supporting this app!! Let me tell you why. Here’s my story! Soo I downloaded this app a couple of months ago I loved it and enjoyed taking funny selfies with my friends. UNTIL i found out about SNAPCHAT as soon as I got snapchat I loved it way more then Banuba it really made banuba look poor. Hold stay with me don’t start thinking I did this because I found an app that’s way better than this. Cause I’m about to tell you why I said to stop supporting it . Ok here’s why I hadn’t played banuba for ages I pratically forgot about it cause I had snapchat ok then I went on banuba again a suddenly reilised ... THAT BANUBA IS SUCH A COPY OF SNAPSHAT now there are lots of funny selfie apps but this one is perticuly a copy it is basically the same thing I EVEN SAW SOME OF THE SAME FILTERS!!!!! OK now don’t go thinking ‘how do you know it’s not the other way round’ well I did wonder that as well so I looked up with one was made first and snapchat was defiantly 💯 % made before banuba. So there you go don’t support this app anymore it’s just a copy of other app. Just to say I would really recommend snapchat because it is way better has way more feachures. So definitely check it out

I love Banuba! I have only known about it for a few days and it’s amazing with all the different cool masks and there’s no adds whatsoever!!!! I L O V E it 😂

I think it may be a little/much better than Snapchat because it’s message-free, but ok Snapchat there messaging but there is also rood things on there which kids under -13 should not see so I think Banuba is a great app for anyone who just wants to take a nice/funny selfie no matter what age you are!!!

AMAZING

I am blown away with this app it is child friendly and can offer you some amazing filters as you can tell I am a child and my parents don’t allow me to have snapchat so I thought this would be a great app to get and it is totally private so there is nothing to worry about

One thing I would say on the down side is that you can’t take pics with to people it only works with one so if that is possible to change as an improvement that would be amazing

So I just saw this app and as I am one of those people whose parents do not allow them to have snapchat I thought this could be a great opportunity for me to be able to use these filters. However the thing that annoys me is that you cant cycle the filters or anything and you also have to pay something around £16 for all filters also I would recommend that you add more grown up filters similar to the snapchat ones as I am 12 years of age and I don’t find any filters suitable for me. Other than that I would really recommend this app to those who are aged around 5-10 years old and I hope you respond to my comment thankyou.

Extremely child friendly!

Banuba is an amazingly child friendly app, you can get lots of different filters and have fun with your friends with the voice changer. The downside is that it would only put the filter on one person’s face, it wouldn’t work with two.

I would definitely recommend it to people who’s parents don’t allow them to have snapchat! I think this app is very child friendly and is fun to do!

Best version of Snapchat

If you guys are wondering I’m one of those kids who’s parents don’t let you have snapchat! I found this game today and I already give it a 5 stars! Amazing App....

I think that this is a great app and I totally agree with all the other comments, it's really fun. And it's amazing because some of the filters are so much fun and so cool, it is like Snapchat in the filter way. Just one thing though- could you make it possible that before the filters get renewed maybe you can choose 5 filters you like from the old ones so that the ones you really love don't disappear? Because some of the filters are really good but when they get renewed they disappear and some of them I really wnhoy using.

Otherwise overall I think this is a great app that I would always recommend.

This is a great thing there is many much funny things to do with all the filters I also like the way that there are not that many adds

But there is a few things first I think that there could be a bit more filters like a dog 🐕 or a cat 🐈 or a UNICORN!!!!!

This is ace

So I got this app after reading all the positive reviews and I agree with everyone of them. This is an excellent filter alternative to Instagram and Snapchat and you get new filters. The only filters that are locked are ones you can watch one video to access them all. Personally I would recommend this app to anyone

I’ve just got one improvement though, could you possibly make two person filters?

Worth getting!!!

This is a really good app to get instead of snapchat. If your young person wants a filter app, but is not allowed to use Snapchat this is perfect! I rated it 4 not 5 because you do have to pay a lot extra for more filters which I don’t think is needed. The filters that are free are very fun though- for goofy and pretty pics. Compared to other users, I don’t get many adds either. Hope you find This helpful. Grace x
