Used to be a great game, but since the update every level now takes several rounds of lives or you have to pay to get extra lives in order to complete the level. Doubt I will be playing much longer. Also the graphics are terrible now and what is with the train thing… like we have taken a step back here… a BIG step.

Been playing this game for several years now and lately it’s become annoying and costly. The updates are slow and the structure for using your stars are now so high every item uses at least 5 stars and sometimes splits into three so 15 stars. The levels are beyond hard and often the difficulty rating doesn’t reflect the colour green easy,purple hard and red very hard. 40+ attempts and using many of the extras you accumulate. Still don’t pass, one more try using no extra you just smash through the level with goes to spare. Bit of a rant I know, but you asked

In some ways it still is a great game, full of ingenuity and imagination, and would once have earned 5 stars from me.

However, it now just become a MONEY-GRABBER, and whoever controls it is just being too GREEDY.

Players beware! Of course, whoever is making the money can argue that you don’t have to pay to proceed in the game, and they have a point.

However, I’ve had enough of paying out over and over again for very little return.

Matchington Manor, I’ve enjoyed you, but enough is enough, and you’ve overstepped the mark with your excessive greed.

I’ve enjoyed most of the functionality and power up changes to the game, including competitions and limited furniture sets. There have been small tweaks to certain icons like the fireworks and rainbow ball, lion statues etc. that I haven’t minded. However the newest update is garish, was it even tested before release? The pillow colours are much darker and saturated and yet have even lower contrast, making them blend in to everything else on the board which also got new colours. The new power up colours are purple which also makes them harder to see - whereas before they were white and rainbow which made them really obvious. Even their shape has changed.

Previously the colour scheme was lighter and more pleasant, with contrast between items and power ups. Not only is this new design more unpleasant and over saturated, it makes the whole board blend together and difficult to play. I don’t know how anyone with low vision could play any more, so it’s now not very accessible. I’ve put actual money in to this game but might stop playing now as it’s genuinely unpleasant to use.

The new visual update is a massive eyesore, while I’m all for updating graphics, I hate how bright the new colours are, they clash horribly and make the game less cozy and comforting. The new designs for the power ups are just downright ugly. I don’t mind a couple small changes but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

the game’s very fun and a great way to pass time. it’s nice being able to decorate mansions and pick furniture.

however, it would be nicer if the furnishings all matched and went well together.

also i don’t like how they keep updating aesthetics in order to match other games such as homescapes, i liked the original power up designs, such as the spoon and the rainbow wool - which now looks like a colourful virus.

i loved how it all looked before, i don’t think it needs changing!

i also don’t like the new pillow design, i liked when they were softer colours, now they’re just hard to look at as the colours are no longer cohesive. i think the game was gorgeous as it was, i don’t like how the graphics keep changing in order to look more cutesy or modern

overall a great game though, i still enjoy playing it because it is a wonderful game, i would just enjoy it a lot more if they stopped changing everything!!

Like most online game advertising this is nothing like the adverts or the “screenshots” here. It’s a match game and you then use coins to upgrade furniture and rooms. That’s it. False advertising is illegal but somehow these money grifting game developers dress games up to be something that they’re not.

Then you get inundated with in game advertising for other games that aren’t anything like they’re made out to be.

I have been playing this game for years and have seen the declining quality. Previously winning 50 levels would result in being able to exchange 50 stars for 500 coins. Bring this back! This used to be a great game for filling a little time, quite relaxing and enough of a challenge to keep it interesting. Sadly, it appears that greed has got the better of the developer. Levels have become ridiculously difficult to pass, introducing a level of boredom. It’s not challenging, it's tedious, as you just know the algorithm will eventually relent and allow you to pass it, but the developer hopes you’ll cave in before then, and buy coins to help you move on. In addition, rewards are being diminished almost daily. Where you used to get an hour of free play for achieving a goal, now it’s 15 minutes if you’re lucky. Sometimes it’s just an ugly piece of furniture or rug that I’m pretty sure most players do not crave. A while ago they introduced ‘events’ for which you could choose to pay to enhance the game with more lives and other rewards, around once a month. I don’t mind paying the £5.99, as across a month that isn’t a lot. But, the changes outlined above seem designed to fleece players of even more. It’s plain greed. The joy of the game has been sucked out of it. I strongly suggest the developers reviews things and thinks about what the players might like, rather than their shareholders, otherwise the pretty decent income they had before all these negative changes, will surely drift away as more and more of give up playing out of sheer boredom.

So after playing this game since nearly the beginning, it has turned from a really good fun game to play, to one that now seems more interested in making money than a great game, the difficulty seems to have been ramped up to force people into spending money, and at a time with global economies struggling. The game developers seem to have got cheaper and cheaper, we used to get 4 coins for a rainbow at the end of the level, 3 for a big bomb and so on, you used to get 500 coins when using up 50 stars on furniture, now all you get is a chair for and environment you are no longer playing! The biggest issue is the developers think we must be daft and think we won’t notice, so am I right in thinking that we should pay for the privilege to watch adverts, make it either, if you pay for coins etc no more adverts.

Not trying to sound like a bot but this is the best no Wi-Fi game I own! It is a little bit laggy on older devices but mine works like a charm. It is so entertaining and fun because you can decorate your mansion however you like and it challenges your brain the harder the puzzles get. Not to mention that you can do short but fun mini games for extra stars so you can upgrade the mansion an extra time including the ones where you have to light a fire. I love this game and I hope you all love it too. Credits to the person who made this game because I love this game and I am so thankful that they made this game. I hope this game will be entertaining to you and I hope the creators of this game can create more games towards the future.

I live this game, I have been playing for 4 years straight and is the only game I’ve kept, (I get bored of games easy) I love that there is so much to it, and watching a video for 2 extra moves always helps, you get plenty of power ups to help you through the levels, I have favourite and worse levels, such as the levels with the stones you can only break with a bomb or rocket, they’re hard! After completing a level in one go you start the next with either a bomb, rocket or Color power up, and an extra is added the more levels you complete in a row and it really helps when you get on a role! You only get 5 lives but with all the extras to the game you get free 1hr lives or 5, or 10 mins free, I’ve ended up with 5 hours free lives 1 time, which I didn’t get to use the full 5 hours like, maybe 20 mins of it😅 I love playing this game when chilling or kids napping , thanks for the enjoyment for 4 years, still going strong :) !

So after having a response & the new update, I have this to say.

If you can’t update often enough to meet demand then you should update with more content. After the update, I completed all the ‘decorating’ tasks in one day, I am already on bonus levels again after completing all the levels in the last update, not just me, other members of my team are there too. It would be lovely if you’d consider making bigger updates.

I love this game, have been playing it for a long time now. However, I recently found that I had to wait for new tasks to appear, which they did when the game was updated. I have now reached level 6629 & am stuck playing what you call bonus levels, I assume until you update again. I’m pretty sure though that I’ve played the last 2 levels before, so not bonus levels, repeating levels because you’re too slow to update which is really annoying. More annoying as I’ve recently joined a really proactive team. I have paid for purchases in the past but until there are more ‘normal’ levels consider that to be staying in the past. If you take too long to update, I’ll be looking for a new game to play, one that is not made by you. Sort it out please.

I’ve tried a lot of these match 3 games but this one I’ve stuck with the longest. The regular bonus tasks give you power ups. Easy to refill lives with your team, and share bonuses etc. My only gripe is that some of the team chest competitions are a bit unfair like passing 15 levels; great when you are below level 1000, but not so easy higher, you should get points based on difficulty or compete against similar levels. Also, when you run out of lives can you please add the option to use your free lives you friends have sent instead of ‘ask friends’ or buy for 400. I always get stuck on racing/team challenges and as soon as they end I fly through 20 levels. It seems a tad fixed as if I’m stuck and don’t play for 2 days as soon as I return I’ll pass the level with loads of moves left lol. But it’s cool, one of the best of these types around, you really don’t have to pay to progress, I’m level 1700 now and don’t spend money.

I love the game and I love that you can decorate the little mansion when you win stars. However, the game becomes frustrating and even boring when you have to waste your stars on greeting people, investigating things, growing and serving food and and cleaning things up... etc! And when you only win one star per level - difficult levels being really difficult - it’s also irritating when most of the new items require 2 stars for access. Also, items won in an event can’t always be changed until you reach a few hundred levels later and you’re given new options. An ugly moving Halloween eye above the front door was annoying from mid October to December. Maybe I’m being picky, but as that’s all part of the game I’m not sure it should be so restricted. Makes me want to delete the game and just play The Sims again. I do like that you get regular events where you can win free lives and extra coins though. That adds some fun. If it weren’t for the frustrating parts it would be 5-star-addictive!!

I love this game. I had to tidy up my room but as soon as I started playing this game I forgot about it. I have been playing for hours and got nothing done. It is amazing and I have always wanted to know the feeling of living in a mansion. I also love the themes and that they always come out with new ones. My favourite theme is the bake sale. I also love how the levels are challenging to boost my resilience to keep trying again and again. I am obsessed with this game and it’s my favourite game at the moment. I 100% recommend to anyone who hasn’t played this game before. I love how we can choose exactly how the mansion looks and the options are stunning. I also love the little houses or rooms we get to decorate in between. Like the snowy cabin or the valentines themed one. My favourite was the cafe one, it looked very elegant. When I first played this game, I ABSOLUTELY loved it. It was fun and great, I liked the story and other stuff. I finished the living room, the bedroom and nearly the library, but as it went on, it got more harder, I didn’t like it. I stopped playing for 4 months (then came back to play again) I tried one more time, but it was just too hard ! Like the moves are quite useless in some levels but it keeps happening now! I get less moves, bombs in wrong places, and some other things like that. I just want to carry on with the story at least, like if you can’t do a level but you don’t enough money for a booster or something to help then there’s nothing we can do if we just fail, fail and fail all the time! I love this game, it’s the only one that I have kept up with and I’d recommend it to anyone. There are some levels that can be frustrating and sometimes I have to walk away from my phone so that I don’t fling it out the window but that’s part of the fun. Although there is in app purchases, there is absolutely no need to purchase anything; there are lots of opportunities to rack up coins and you get bonuses all the time. It’s not totally easy, it’s challenging at times but I’m over level 1500 so it’s definitely fun. Love the mansion building, you get bonuses and coins for every room furnished. Yea it’s not totally modern but then you’re not going to live on it. Only downside, which has been commented on before, is the short time to complete bonus rooms, sometimes this is hindered by hard levels.

I’ve been playing this now for over a year now and have loved it, but I’m now at level 4554 and on bonus levels, that I don’t mind but the bonus levels are constantly repeated so have a lot of the same games over and over which is rather annoying, you don’t really get a lot for completing a bonus level which makes it very boring, I think personally when on bonus levels we should have the option to complete a bonus room we didn’t get chance to finish, I think that will make the game more enjoyable for the people who are waiting for an update for more levels. I do find after every update it only takes me a day or two to complete all the new levels so I’m soon back on bonus levels again, I love this game but think it would be perfect if we were able to complete uncomplicated bonus rooms when on the bonus levels.

Great game! It’s very fun and enjoyable to do.

Positive points:

- I enjoy the calendar events to decorate the front of the house, I.e Halloween, Christmas etc. I enjoy having the fish in my walls of the hallway but also not having to pick the whole mermaid / fish event set.

- Sending lives do not come out of my personal lives supply which is great as everyone always sends lives to each other.

- The fact you can go shopping in others house and get their furniture is great.

- Levels are challenging but also completable!

- Love the decor!!

Improvements:

- I would like to be able to message my friends that are not connected to Facebook (visit random person) and ask them to join my team, it’s very hard to get anyone to actually join my team.

- never played the boat race challenge as I don’t have enough members in the team - very sad!

- Daily chest items, to have a few to pick from, not playing for 5 days straight and getting only lampshade isn’t really an insensitive. Would love the red car!

I’ve been playing this game for a while in my spare time. Recently I’ve been finding myself clicking to open the app more often. I like that you can become friends with other people outside of Facebook so you can help each other with lives. Even though I’ve found nothing but joy playing this game I do have one complaint. I think you should claim more coins at the end of a level as things cost quite a few coins but it takes you ages to build your coins back up you’ll complete a level and only leave with 30 coins which is ridiculously low for the amount you have to spend to get extra moves,Power-ups and change furniture designs etc. I also really like that you can visit other houses and collect more furniture designs. I would definitely recommended this game to anyone looking for something fun to do while passing time. 💞

I had decided to try this game, because it seemed like it could be healthy competition for “Word Villas” (which I’m already well into, but please don’t hate me for that). It was a good start & I was so glad that I could choose the name of the white cat, as I had a white rabbit named Tardis, who is sadly no longer with me (& naming the cat Tardis is a small comfort, despite how silly it seems). I then reached the harder puzzles in the bedroom & I was worried I’d have to spend a small amount of real money to purchase extra time, as I lost coins all too quickly. But luckily for me, I decided to leave it a while & try again later ... & (after a few tries); I finally won, without even having to use my last remaining “help tokens”. So, fellow players; it just takes a lot of time, patience & persistence. Eventually, you will beat those trickier levels. So, yeah; definitely now a new favourite, alongside “Word Villas” & will keep me busy for a very long time! ☺️💕👍

This game is fun and it’s great to pick up and play when you get a spare 5mins and even better when you get to play and use one of your 1hrs of free lives.....

the game is a simple concept but challenging some levels are near to impossible with out purchasing extras to help you but it’s not essential to the game to buy extra moves and lives it all depends on how inpatient you are.

My main big bare is when you do get a free award of time like 30mins or 1 hour you have to use it there and then or you lose it. This is not always convenient to play for long periods if you have just signed in to play for a few minutes but you can’t bank the time award so most the time you end up losing it. Be much better if the time was calculated and used when you were logged in and playing then if you need to log out again you can come back to the remaining time.

I thought it would be like the ad were you had to make the right decision but it’s not it’s stupid match shapes together and stuff. I usually don’t like those things but I decided to give it a try and the levels are extremely hard even from level 15 upwards it becomes extremely difficult unless you pay for booster and extra lives. Yeah you need lives. If you don’t win the level you loose a heart and you only get five. Once you’ve lost them all you have to wait an hour before you can play again and bare in mind it’s one life, one hour!!!! Also you have to build stuff to finish your rooms and for most of them they take hours unless you want to pay money. Then your waiting two hours to get your next activity it’s pointless.

Why lie in the ad??

Would not recommend this game unless your willing to spend minimum £20 to actually get anywhere with it.

The latest two versions of this game mean that I cannot now play it - it appears that there is a problem playing it on a number of older devices/devices with 1GB RAM or less. Lost the extra lives I purchased 2 weeks ago as I was thrown out of the game multiple times at the very beginning of a game loading and during a game but lives were still deducted. Game crashed constantly. Lost lives sent to me by the team. I was advised to stop playing the game to prevent further losses. Have asked for refund of this purchase - no response to this. Was sent an hour of unlimited lives as compensation but can’t access the game to claim those! I was hoping this would sorted in the latest version, released today but it is not. I cannot now access the game at all. I have been advised that this is still being looked into.

Also I have been advised that the support team cannot remove me from the team I am in, even though I cannot play the game -recently there were team events but I couldn’t contribute to those as I couldn’t play due to these issues. I thought it would be best for me to come out of the team but apparently it is not possible. I cannot access the game so I cannot remove myself from that team.

Game was really good before the recent updates - extremely disappointed that I cannot play. I’m not in a position to purchase a new device just to play this game!

Firstly, if you’ve been intrigued by the advert featuring pouring water on a fire and fixing windows etc, be warned: NONE of that features in this game. It’s a standard match-three game (like Candy Crush) but you earn stars for completing levels and can ‘spend’ those stars doing up your house. It’s fairly pleasant but like all these types of games, you’ll come up against ‘impossible’ levels which can be infuriating. But they’re never THAT hard, and if you play enough you’ll find a way through. Very refreshing after some of Candy Crush’s and Bejewelled’s levels.

Oh, and some of the furniture choices available to you to decorate your house are AWFUL - things even my chintzy grandmother would turn her nose up at because they are too chintzy! But it’s not my real house, so hey ho...

This game is a magic game. It’s not magic as in the topic, or the name, but the way it calms you when you play it. It’s a bit of everything: puzzles, creativity, and it isn’t too addictive so you’re not stuck to your phone all day long “Trying to complete a level” (which I have experienced in previous games). It is very intriguing in the bit about the diary that you find in the bedroom because you want to find out more. My only criticism is the fact that you have the option to pay. I mean, games should be free! I don’t get any more enjoyment out of a game that I have payed for than a free game. I’ve been playing about 4 months now and it is so addictive. However I’d do agree with some comments made by others. Furniture doesn’t match and gets replaced without me wanting it to. My only other issue is that occasionally I win time. I would prefer this to be able to be stored for a later time rather than having to use it straight away as sometimes I have to leave it to do other things such as go to work etc. and end up losing it. Maybe I’m doing something wrong and this can be done I don’t know. The other issue is that I get to the end of a level and need only one move to complete but have to use a whole 500 coins. I know the makers are trying to get people to buy extra coins etc. But could you not do 100 coins per move. Otherwise I enjoy playing and am spending far too much time on it but it’s great.

I’ve been playing this game for ages obviously in between looking after my kids and doing every other job I have in the day .But this game is my calming place, it chills me out , while occupying my mind from day to day stresses. I particularly enjoy exploring other friends mansions and decoration ideas. I don’t agree that there is not enough styles to choose from as if you explore other people’s Mansions you often collect the furniture they have found , therefore gaining more variety , I do agree some levels are hard , but just take that little bit more patience and effort which is no problem really as I’m stubborn and very determined . My only complaint is: I really love the holiday home events , But I always seem to miss (or realise they are their when there nearly over )events so was delighted you brought the recent event to play games to try to finish your holiday homes. I got to complete another one and was a few light bulbs away from completing my fav one , if you could keep up the opportunities to keep finishing those i would be delighted . Over all this is a bright, colourful pleasant and rewarding game to play .

I am really enjoying the game so far. I love getting the stars and stuff but I don’t like it when in the tasks big it asks you to open a secret box and stuff like that. Personally I love designing things so when I saw this game advertised I thought that it would let me design a mansion but instead the game is asking me to do things like open chests and read secret letters. When you do get the chance to do a little bit of designing the choices aren’t that great and are extremely old fashioned. I think that the developers should create an app where you can design your own mansion without having to pass levels and stuff like that. I think that this new app should have modern choices for the furniture and decoration and should let you personalise every little detail e.g lights, decoration, carpet, garden. The game is ace and addictive. The levels are challenging, but achievable with the vast amount of ways the game makers have included to help the player accomplish this... a variety of pieces to the board that require different ways to wipe them off the grid and a bank of well thought out rewards and tasks that have their own storyline behind them to earn that help.

The reason I’ve given it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the part of the game that features a distraction from time to time in the form of decorating a new room. It’s too hard! You have to complete levels to get the lightbulbs to afford the decorating. If you don’t finish in time, you lose the room and if you don’t complete the level you lose the bulbs! For the main game, earning the stars to complete the mansion is great, but when it has to be within time limitations, makes it impossible if you get stuck on a level. My suggestion for that bit would be to keep the lightbulbs you earn regardless of winning the level or not, but still losing the regular items for the ordinary game level.

Like I said, it’s addictive and I don’t think I’ve missed claiming the fifth day reward since I started playing. Decorating the mansion is fun and visiting others shows how many different spins you can put on it!

I simply can’t resist this game. When I’m not saving up for a rainy day to blow some cash, this is for me a fun and relaxing game. I enjoy not only the puzzles but being able to unlock rooms and decorate and the fun with Ravi! I would suggest that those who reach above a certain level can have the packages to chose from at a reduced price each time. That we could have more chances to unlock levels when we can’t afford to play with the points. Also regular weekly games where the top amount win extra lives and or items. I do like the new wheel of fortune but I think us the regular loyal players should have this constantly. We should have our own inboxes for friends for everyone over 18. We do deserve more for our money. Yes, I am an insomniac, but what we pay for doesn’t last long enough. But I do say this as a loyal player, who, despite the games prices, I love the layout, the fun games, the beautiful choices in decorations. Ad I said, I find this game very relaxing and fun.

I love love love this game. As I am new it is hard to find all the right things to do and match everything completely correctly but I am slowly but surely getting the hang of things. I renovated a mansion so perfect it was fit for a princess (or me!!!) I would proudly give this game a 5 star review. Even though I am new to the word of Matching Mansion as I mentioned above, I am totally addicted to it and whenever my phone runs out of battery I am straight to the charger so I can continue playing. You should 100% download this game as I promise you you will adore it just like me. My only criticism is that maybe you could add some more features and maybe let us design some things but other than that perfect in every way. I recommend this game if you really need something to calm you as you can basically be a house designer for however long you wish to play. Big thumbs up to whoever thought of this- it is incredible. On the add it seems to be like you can freely decorate your mansion and when you try the app it seems that as well however when you get on the game you actually have to pass levels to do anything! I don’t mind completing the levels however I think it should be addressed in the add about them because the add makes it look much easier!! Also I would like to make a suggestion to the creator of this app. I think that you should put in a possible way to purchase stars with the coins that you have earned so you can get more stars easier as some levels can be difficult and take more time! What seemed like a promising game to turn to when passing a pleasant hour, has instead turned into a frustrating nightmare. My first gripe is the pretty horrible colour schemes that don’t seem to match. Very limited choices of colours and designs of carpet, wallpaper and furniture. I can forgive that, but it’s the difficulty of some levels that makes the game virtually unplayable. If you have limited power boosts and coins, then you’re pretty much stuffed. I can appreciate “challenging” levels, but I’ve been stuck on level 77 for two days! I have to collect certain things, including letters, I tend to just have one more letter to go, then I run out of lives. I can’t play on for 500 coins because I’ve only got 200. I have used all my power boosts, so there’s pretty much nothing I can do now. Playing the same level over and over again for days on end is seriously messing with my mind. So, for the sake of my sanity, I’m deleting the game. No game is worth this amount of frustration. It makes you ill.

This game is enjoyable, not unduly difficult for the most part and highly addictive BUT... it is EXTREMELY expensive! On a difficult ish level you’ll go through your 5 lives quickly...you can wait for your lives to replenish (1 life after 15minutes) but this makes the game slow and boring! You can request lives from friends but you can only request or send lives once every 24hours! So the only other option is to purchase a pot of coins... these range in price from £1.99 for 1100 coins (each refresh costs 400 coins so this doesn’t last long! Up to £90! for a chest of coins.

The little mini games usually last a couple of days but one of these has a piggy bank in the corner of the screen..all your earned coins go into the piggy and when you’ve achieved 3000 you have to pay £4.99 to buy the bloody coins back!! RIDICULOUS xxxx

I’m on level 950 but unless the developers can think of easier/cheaper ways to earn additional lives, I’m ready to uninstall the game!

It’s a different kind of game as there is a great deal to keep you entertained and I was enjoying it but the further I have progressed I find it less enjoyable and I spend less time on it. I am lvl 823 for example and the mystic is visiting. I understand the need for challenging levels however the levels that aren’t “hard” are just as hard as the normal levels. I don’t have lots of spare cash to throw at the game and I assume lots do but failing repeatedly at a none hard level and getting no bonus from the mystic as a result is not fun. The best I have ever gotten from the mystic is x2 bonus. Might just be me but I doubt it. As an example there’s the colour umbrella and in the entire round there were no purple pieces so it was impossible to even progress and I’ve used 10 lives so far. It’s boring. I will keep the game but will probably just play when I’m waiting for the bus or something when my other games are recharging. Or maybe I’m only one who finds almost every level weighted against me.

I have played all of the popular match 3 games like Homescapes and the Willy Wonka Factory one but I definitely prefer this style of match 3 game over them.

What I really love is that when you set off a special bomb, and it crosses paths with another special bomb (eg the rainbow colour explode ball), it doesn’t set the other bomb off. This is great when you have a couple special bombs lined up and don’t want them to set off at the same time.

I also really like the difficulty level of this game. Some people complain that it is too hard but I enjoy the challenge. It really just depends on what kind of gameplay you enjoy. If you prefer a game where you are racing through the levels, this probably isn’t for you.

The only thing letting this game down is the lack of good design options. As always, you get a choice of three designs for each feature (sofa, lamp etc) but I really do not ever like any of the three options. This doesn’t take away from the game as I can look past this, but I can understand this would be an issue for some.

That said, I still really enjoy playing this game and I would recommend trying it for yourself before forming your judgement.

I’ve read a lot of the reviews stating that the levels are impossibly hard and it’s unrealistic to try and complete them for “free” (I.e. without purchasing coins or power-ups with real money).

I don’t think that’s the case at all, the levels increasingly become more difficult with a few simpler levels thrown in but there is a good balance of useful special events and good life re-generation that means you’re not stuck for long periods unable to make attempts at levels.

I’m currently on level 554 and I’ve been stuck on occasion on previous levels for several days but I’ve never ended up having to buy a pack with real money to complete it. It’s good, challenging fun and I’ve enjoyed that it’s not just completing 50 levels a day and zipping through building a virtual house by the end of a week. My only criticism is rooms that are completed with lightbulbs would benefit from being run for one week as, the requirement for number of lightbulbs can be hinder by a difficult level. Other than that, I recommend this game as a boredom buster.

Starts off easy which gets you hooked, then once you have used all the free stuff and it’s let you get so far the levels all of a sudden turn really difficult and the stuff that you buy for the house are just stupid things like play with the cat and greet the neighbour where you have to use your coins. This game needs easier levels for one and better things to buy so that you might want to spend money. If you can see someone is struggling on a level and using all their lives...give them a break will you!! Also if someone wants to spend then there should be a smaller pay option like £1 or 99p and you should get more that 5 goes. The level I am on you have to collect 25 letters and you only get 25 attempts to get them and half the time there are no matches. Also don’t use the helper that shows you the next move it just throws you off and doesn’t help you just end up losing goes...rubbish game and money waster!!

Very addictive in the begging as the game does not go off course as much as it does further. I find it extremely annoying that you have to spend your stars on stupid tasks such as- play with the cat, read a book, have a nap?!! Seriously?! I thought it’s all about renovating the mansion.

The other thing i find annoying is the so called “ challenging levels” . There is nothing challenging, it’s just a matter of are you supposed to pass the level after 3 tries or 30. It’s more than obvious when “the game” just lets you pass and everything goes so smoothly although a minute ago you didn’t even make it through 50% of the level for about 100 times.

And the way it mixes more colors at the end of the levels just so you don’t get too much coins. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Definitely great game for 5 year old one but if you are an adult trying to kill some time - choose something else otherwise the only thing you will be killing is your patience. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This game is alright but is very similar to homescapes and the only reason I got the game was because it looked good on the advert but I was disappointed when I started to play the game and I realised that it was nothing like the advert so you either need to change the game which would be very hard or change the advert. Also some of the levels are very easy and some are very very difficult I have had the game for a few weeks now and I am still stuck on level 19 and not being able to do that level is stopping me from playing the game. The levels only give you 1 star every time no matter what how difficult they are and it cost way to much to get more moves at the end of a level when you fail and you only get 5 so they are not very helpful anyway and looking at the amount of moves that I get when I begin a level I wonder how am I supposed to complete this level with only let’s say 20 moves it very nearly impossible.😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬

I’m on level 343 and am bored silly sweeping leaves, choosing plants and cutting hedges. As I’ve said in the title; if I wanted a gardening game I’d have down loaded one!!

Apparently there are now over 60 rooms to play, but so far I’ve only had access to 5 (in the house) and have spent weeks stuck in this garden.

An element of choice would be a good thing too - I HAD to take on a dog, buy/win it’s parafernalia and build a kennel (in the garden 😡) when I’d rather have access to a new room in the house. (I’m a dog owner in the real world so not anti dog!)

I enjoy the levels and agree that you can get stuck on one for ages, so far I haven felt the need to buy anything - but after all these levels I still haven’t been given access to the kitchen!!

There are some good opportunities to win an hour of free lives, and some cute side games, an£ the graphics are great, but these aren’t enough to merit more than 3 stars

I have had this game for a couple of weeks and being a fan of candy crush immediately liked it. I am not bad at these types of games being in level 550 odd of candy crush so not an amateur. As you work through the levels and look at the complexity of them and then glance to the left and see the paltry number of moves that are given to complete them it very soon becomes apparent that this is all about the money as mid 20’s on the moves compared to what is expected to complete it is whilst not impossible has to go very well and get a lot of dynamite to make a dent. Of course the easiest way to do this is to pay up front or add more moves and I am sad to say I have done a few times. I did contact the company through the ‘contact us’ section but got no reply twice just directed to the frequently asked questions. So in summary a good game but be prepared to have deep pockets as taking 25+ goes to complete a level soon gets tiresome when not wanting to chuck loads of money especially as looking at the size of the mansion there must be some levels to complete and as i am at 140 ish I have lost the inclination to proceed

My main complaint🙁 is that there should be a variety of games to unlock stars ⭐️.

I was on this game all the time ⏰ during the first week I got this but after that I didn’t play it as much because I got bored 😑 of the mini games. There should be at least three3️⃣ different games. Also if you gave an extra star you should be allowed to design🖌your own furniture because I don’t like any of the beds 🛏. I’m on level 115 and I think it’s a bit harsh to have to pay 5 stars to put books on the selves, I do love this game and my and my friend are both hooked! Say this the time to wait for stars it rather long and although the levels are hard I find it challenging and makes me want to try again and again but the stars are a really issue for me I don’t think it should take 5 whole stars to put books on selves especially when the levels are as hard as they are that could potentially take hours of trying to just place books on selves. I really like this game and as a avid player of matching games I find this one the most interesting and satisfying to play but the pay off you get the more you play dulls the game I don’t feel motivated to spend my time playing and completing levels to pay 5 stars to do something -in my opinion- that should only take 1-2 stars. I think you should consider making the time between hearts smaller and reconsider how many stars you allocate per job.

The mansion is soooooooo big I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ how anyone one would get to the end of it? You never get enough coins on the game and are always stuck ! I think you should pay soooooo much just to get five more fricking goes !!! I might end up just game of trash !!!

I am new to the game so have not yet grasped all the techniques. Getting there though. Took me a while to master removing the letters as I missed the explanation and did not seem able to go back. Got it eventually. Sometimes the levels can take a while for everything to fall into place but that is no different from many other games. I imagine the developers do not want you to go through too quickly which is fair enough. The game is free after all. I do agree with many others that the colours of furnishings, and patterns available are not all that attractive and having chosen one colour to start it is annoying to find that when matching another item there is nothing that works. I would like to go back and change my start colour in the bedroom for example as the new items do not match or contrast well - after all it is a Matchington Mansion - the name sends out a clue!!! I also preferred the picture I chose in the drawing room but it has been replaced with one the game chose.

Not bad so far though. I am enjoying it. The rating may change as I progress - or not!

After downloading Matchington Mansion, Homescapes and Gardenscapes this is definitely the best one out of the three but there are frustrations!

There are many levels that are incredibly hard and impossibly unable to pass unless you spend money buying more coins. Stupidly I have done so in order to get ahead but I won’t be anymore as you don’t progress much further anyway so it’s a complete waste. I can see from other users that have left reviews that they also have commented on the difficulty of some levels so you would hope the developers would read these reviews and make the adjustments!

I’m aware it’s all part of a ‘story’ but it’s incredibly frustrating to work through tasks that include cleaning up leaves, playing with the dog or cat for 2/3 stars, these minimal tasks should be 1 star so you don’t waste too much time on them and more time on designing the mansion!

Additionally, there was a review that caught my eye too and I agree but it’s not overly important! There should be more colour schemes as there are some pretty quirky choices! You can visit other “friends” in the game and collect other designs they may have (a little exclamation mark will show) but there are some rooms that have a nice selection of wallpaper then 3 options for a floor all of which are a bit garish but each to their own!

I have finished all levels and am waiting for the developers to develop more, so the levels can’t be that hard as I have done them all. Yes some are harder than others and take more tries to complete but the answer is usually to use the mega blaster pieces (not sure what they’re actually called) and you’ll get there.

The answer to those who say they don’t have enough lives - visit other mansions and make friends with people, you’ll be able to send each other lots of lives.

Also when you visit you can pick up other pieces of furniture from other mansions, so if you’re not happy with the choice you’re given to decorate your mansion, you can redesign as you go through.

I have not spent any money on the game at all, but have watched many many adverts, which I do not mind as they have to make their money somehow!

Today my 11year old granddaughter just need 1 star to finish level 109 so you can a amazing her joy when she got 4hours free goes but at the end of the time she was in tears because she had only reached level 111 people will be leaving the game when you only win 2 stars in 4 hours because you're game is cutting out before you can play the levels I have just updated your game and once again it cuts out your seriously need to talk to the company that you are dealing with or change company's cue once again I have to complain I have been stuck on level 891for a month even after downloading a new level & a new mini game it still keeps cutting out I have spoken to my friends and they saying the same so please could you see what the problem is because beforehand people will stop playing your game thank your or the last two weeks I have tried to play level 564 but it will not load please could you look into it thank you

Some levels are really hard and it’s actually quite stressful being stuck on a level and then running out of lives but too many people are complaining about that so I’ve decided to talk about the furniture.

The furniture and the walls and flooring are not very customisable at all. For example, in the hallway, there’s a lovely blue carpet that I chose with a hideous grandmas curtains sort of blue wallpaper, but it’s even worse when it gets to the sofa because there is NO SOFA THAT GOES WITH ANYTHING I HAVE CHOSE!!! And it’s not just in this instance that this has happened. It’s happened in the bedroom too and I have only got up to there so I imagine that the rest of the mansion is like that as well. I would maybe recommend a wider range of selection and colours.

Another thing that annoys me is when it makes you waste your stars “answering the door”, “brushing up the leaves (three stars)”, then after all of the brushing up the leaves “brushing up the paper (three stars)” “getting the package” and then you get the idea.

Basically, your furniture and walls don’t match (and they’re hideous anyway), some levels are too hard and nobody wants to be answering the door and brushing up leaves when they could be decorating a hideous digital mansion. Thanks for reading.

I just downloaded this game and I love it but I’m constantly stuck on level 12 ( I know, not that far ). I don’t want to spend any actual money on the play money in the game so I’m finding it hard. Also, I’m playing this game to decorate the mansion and not really to play that little match the colours game. I understand some people will get through levels more quickly than others but as a compromise I think the producers should make it so you get two or three stars per game or more so you can get on with the mansion. I’ve read a load of other helpful reviews on this game and they all say the same thing - the levels are too hard. But they haven’t changed yet. If everyone who agrees that the levels are too hard then writes a review saying about that then I think there is more chance of the producers changing it. Love this game otherwise. Thanks. 😎

To start with I was really enjoying this game, I love the concept of renovating a house and getting to choose the decor, etc... but unfortunately there are several things that let it down. I agree with other reviewers, while I understand that as a free game developer you need to make money, I completely disagree with making levels virtually impossible to win without spending real money. Why not make your game eg. £3.99-£7.99 instead of free, with the option to buy power-ups to help you, but don’t make ludicrously difficult levels to make us spend money. I honestly don’t know how anyone is meant to finish the whole mansion. I’ve been stuck on level 54 for days and refuse to spend anymore real money. It’s a shame, I was hoping that this game wouldn’t turn out to be yet another money grabber, as I honestly was enjoying it. Another good game made unplayable.

Had this game a while now. I’m now starting to get bored of being stuck on levels and waiting soo long to get lives back. I agree with other reviewers about majority of the issues. Multiple times I have been one move away from winning a level to find I’ve ran out of moves and power ups. I’m not looking to spend any of my money to purchase these things as it doesn’t make sense to me (obviously I have more important things to spend my money on). Although I get that you want to make money from your game that’s kool. But it seems like all these games are the same, not allowing you to progress any further without actual purchase of items etc.

Also I find it extremely annoying that you get bonuses for signing into fb and liking pages. Not everyone has fb so can there be an Option to say you don’t have fb and still receive rewards or something?

I just feel these things would make it more fun for those that aren’t looking to make real purchases in the game and just. well.. Enjoy it hassle free..

In my opinion much better than similar games in this genre. good balance on difficulty (I agree with others, some are impossible without power ups), good features like daily bonus and interacting with friends, graphics are very well done and I love the mystery story within the game..but there are 2 problems I see with this game

1..Tiffany. The most annoying feature in this game by far. Maybe, instead of being stuck with her, players can have the option where they can choose a "friend" they would like to play along with.

2..Using up 2/3 stars for stupid tasks like feed the cat, read a book, teach puppy a new trick or introduce cat to puppy is a bit much and frankly a waste of stars. I would not mind using up that amount if it was to decorate the mansion but not on mundane tasks that have no relevance to the game what so ever. Sort this out.

Other than that I would like to say well done to the team and continue the good work.

Game was so addictive and fun until I got to the first bedroom. Levels are now way too hard, and I end up having to waste the hard earned stars on stupid tasks. I’m now completely stuck on level 47 and not even close to completing the room! The mansion is massive. I’m not sure how anyone is meant to be able to advance through this game when the stars are so hard to get and have to be wasted on ‘filler’ tasks! Not enough coins get generated from the games and the booster are very expensive. Looking like i will end up deleting this game. Loved doing up the hallway but this is just downright frustrating now and not fun anymore! Giving 4 stars due to the fun I had in the first room. But if I had of got the bedroom at the start this game would get 1 star! Please do something about the fillers and the levels difficulty. I want to enjoy this game. I love the concept!!!
