Great music, app needs work
A great concept. Like other reviewers I find the main music services overwhelming when I just want to listen to some great music without having to curate it for myself or suffer an AI picked playlist. Great. The app itself is quirky, and not entirely in a good way. It’s hard to get back to the now playing screen if you go anywhere else in the app. It seems impossible to stop/pause within the app (am I missing something?!) so have to use the iPhone control centre (mute is a strange option to have instead.) When using iPods the music blasts out of the phone when removing the headphones instead of stopping. Hardly a desired behaviour. I’ve not tried in the car yet. I’d like to subscribe… I’ll have to see whether these annoyances are worth putting up with. At least there is a free trial.

Good idea poorly administered
This is a good idea, although the classic selection is really disappointing unless you like the cheesier elements of Classic FM. A pity then that the app doesn’t recognise that I have paid my subscription and asks me to pay again. I won’t be renewing as a result.

Am I doing something wrong?
I love the principle of Stack, and maybe it’s my phone (DOI dinosaur with iPhone 5plus running iOS 13), but it randomly seems to stop playing sometimes, and when it’s sulking like this, nothing I can do will coax it back. This is pretty irritating and a deal breaker 😞
Also, I can see no easy way to pause it - I have to switch screen off so that the control bar is there when I switch it back on.
If you can tell me what I’m doing wrong, I’ll pay beyond my free trial!

Can't use on iPhone SE
The login form cannot be used on an iPhone SE - after fillong the form, the Enter button is obscured by the keyboard and cannot be tapped. Would have contacted support, but that's only on Instagram. Disappointed.

Read about this in The Daily Telegraph’s Luxury supplement. Thought I’d give it a try but failed to sign in as I was unable to get past the first password entry field. It would appear the developers have not tested the sign on screen on phones with limited display real estate such as my 2020 iPhone SE (2nd edition). Bye.

A joy to use
Love this app so much!
My entire working day is based on decision making and this app has changed my life. At the end of the day all I want to do is enjoy the weather with a drink and listen to some music. Before I had to go through what should a simple process of deciding what I wanted to listed too, simple right? However that for some reason seemed an impossible task so I would switch on 6 music and hope it was the mood I was feeling. Now since getting stack its like a world has opened up! Good tunes and exactly the tempo I’m after at that exact moment! So easy to use no faffing around, simple clean perfect! I would highly recommend!!

It’s good!
Much better than Spotify, the created playlists are much more considered and great - App needs some fine tuning, but the tunes are spot on! ...from the moment you start the app you really can’t go wrong....loving this..my ‘go to’ music player now

No more scrolling through uninspired playlists or spending hours trying to build one. This app delivers high-quality and great music I forgot I loved through insanely curated mixes. Fantastic App - 5 stars!

Gosh, how wonderful
I had no idea that I had a Stack shaped hole in my life, but 2 minutes in it became obvious that it had been there but was now blessedly and comfortably plugged.

Great idea. Poor implementation
The idea of Stack radio is excellent. Curated music streamed to my ears. Love the idea.
Unfortunately the app is prone to random crashes.
Unfortunately the app can take many seconds to commence streaming music.
Unfortunately the app does not resume streaming when you put your AirPods back in your ears after even just a few seconds.
Unfortunately the app does not cope with changing internet connection strengths that I get while on the train.
I have found new music through the app, which is great. It’s a shame that some of the playlists are so random it’s difficult to see any connection between tracks.
I’ll come back in a few months to see if it’s improved.

Stack is life-changingly great
Pre Stack, life was a constant musical challenge - radio stations with the occasional good tune but too much chat. Or, the bore of choosing music from my tired collection or uninspiring online library. Stack has changed all that. I never need listen to anything else. It’s superbly curated playlists of quality songs that I know and love or new ones to delight in keep me happy from morning to night. I absolutely love this app. It’s ingenious.

great selection!
Perfect selection of tunes! Love stack radio!!!! Like a dj went into my library and shuffled my songs around according to genre and then added some new ones that I absolutely love! Really well thought out. Only missing a star because I cannot connect to sonos.

Not opening after latest update
Great app but it’s not opening after the latest update on my iPad mini 2. Strange as it’s working on my iPhone 6s! Both are running the latest iOS 12.1.4 Please fix ASAP.

Stack music does the same thing but with music. press play and the music starts to arrive. and it's all good. no ads. no interruptions. just delicious well curated music. and finally, when you are satisfied, you just press stop. genius. kovfefe.

A beautiful music app
I was becoming overwhelmed with the number of music sources and the difficulty of getting and syncing the music I wanted on my phone easily. As a result I found myself listening to very little.
The answer has come with Stack - in effect, you delegate it all and let Stack stream to you. Select a colour to suit your mood and just listen to a curated selection.
There are things that are new, things I had forgotten about, classics - all with no interruption or ads, and all put together by someone with a great ear. The interface is beautifully simple and fun to check into.
Love this app, there is real beauty here.

The most simple music app I have tried. Just choose a colour that suits your mood and the app does the rest. Feels like all my favourite music with a few surprises mixed in streamed at the touch of a button. I cannot recommend this enough.
