HELPPPPP
I loved this game when I was younger and think I would also love this one but one thing is really really really bugging me!!!! I’m playing on IPhone 11 plus and CANNOT see any of the instructions/players thoughts or even the help manual because the bar to close the app blocks it all.
Can someone please tell me if there is anything I can do to get rid of that close bar and actually read what is written on there 💀

Ill villagers
This game is good, and it’s fun to play and stuff however, it’s like every time I click on the game it says all my villagers have been ill when I’ve rid of everything that is poisonous, so I don’t understand why my villagers keep getting ill when I’ve rid of everything, so it’s getting annoying now so I’ve rated it a 3 but overall, it’s a good game and can recommend

Way too many adverts
Trying to play the game is ruined by the fact they play an advert every few seconds. Can’t skip these ones either and it crashes on the adverts so I can’t close it. Going to uninstall now because I can’t progress any further with this bug.

In-app purchases / ads
Great game, although a little challenging at times but that isn’t a bad thing. My main complaint is the ads. It makes no sense that you should have to watch an ad to use in game currency, especially if that’s currency you have to pay for. Most games ask to watch an ad for free game currency or an ad instead of using it, but to have to do both is ridiculous.
I’ve had issues where I’ve watched an ad to complete crafting something then when I go back to the game the item has disappeared.
Also as other players have said, it is ridiculously expensive to do some things, made frustrating by the fact that you have to watch an ad to do anything

Love all the new features!
I really enjoyed the original VV as a kid and have loved this version even more. Here’s hoping the next chapters get made! The crafting/gathering is great but does take a long time when f2p. Puzzles are really interesting. I also like the fact you can bring villagers back from the dead.

Great game and would be 5 stars if wasn’t for the fact it costs a small fortune to play. It is a shame and I see that many others agree. If it was cheaper to play, the recommendations would be through the roof.

I love this game so much I really recommend it! It gets you thinking and allows you to work things out to help your villages (with guidance). It lets you grow you village and villages, I love it. All round a great game!!

I’ve played virtual villagers since the first and this game has got to be one of the worst, constant disconnection, save game loss and spamming you to death with adverts, I played the game ages ago when it first came out and after I came back months later my game had gone, customer service not helpful one bit basically told me sorry your game is lost never even bothered trying to help, just some copy and paste message. Is it just me or is this game series getting worse?
I think so, don’t get me started on virtual town...
Not recommended as clearly the passion from LDW has died, don’t slaughter the series by becoming a money hungry developer, it doesn’t suit you when you think back to your games style and past games, clearly not the same people making this as the original.
Update: that’s the exact copy and paste message I got 4 times on my ticket, you have to be taking the mick, no I told you then I had not used Facebook to log in, not all of us are social media hooked, it was local, and nothing changed, if you bothered to read my email, but thanks you’ve just proved my point.

I’ve always loved the virtual villagers game series and hearing that there’s an origins 2 and it’s available on iPhone and iPads, I just had to get it and so far I’m loving it. I love that the crafting hut has been included in this game

A great game with a catch
I’ve always been hooked on the virtual villagers and virtual families series so i was excited to see vv2 origins for free on the app store after having completed the first vv origins. It started great and i loved seeing all the new and interesting puzzles and environments but soon it became clear that this one was different , a cash grab I've succumbed already and spent in game money for lavastones as they are kinda made essential if you're going to do things like upgrade your villagers or speed up crafting.Also in the first virtual villagers you could switch the game speed in the menu where as you have to watch an ad for 5 mins if double speed in this game. Im going to complete it for the nostalgia but ill not be putting any more money into it or downloading the next one unless this changes . I can understand needing to make money for your work but it would be best to just sell the game for like £1-2 and have it be more fulfilling.

Makes Me So Happy
I love this game, the storyline is so interesting and fun to explore. I have just unleashed the Kraken from under the rock and I had the urge to write this review. I’m loving the game so much and it’s an amazing feeling to come home from a stressful day and check up on my island. The only thing I would recommend to upgrade is making things less expensive with the virtual points, gems and real money. Please take this into account and thank you for reading this review. I love this game and I play it everyday to check on my villagers. However, making progress takes a while but the game wouldn’t be as realistic if everything happened instantly! So anyways, I’m in love with this game and would recommend to everybody. Even if it doesn’t look interesting enough, please just try it out.

Good game... if it was made in 1958
Now I LOVE this game. It’s so good, so fun. But I’ve recently noticed things that appear odd. There are NO black villagers. No poc. When two villagers have a baby, it’s is always the female villagers job to look after it. And, the tutorial favours male villagers for tasks like building, farming, but favours female villagers for tasks like healing.
Now this may seem like I’m reaching, but micro details like this actually matter when contributing towards the growth of society. Teaching children sexist generalisations, and erasing people of colour has never, and will never be helpful in our growth towards acceptance for minorities.
I really hope that these details can be evaluated, and that the creator of this game did not mean to appear bigoted

Love the game! I’ve played the originals and was hooked.
I agree that app purchases are high! If you are gaining the money from ads then surely there should be benefit for the person playing the game.
Much preferred being able to speed up the game for longer than having to watch a video for 5 mins double speed.
All in all though, it’s not stopped me playing the game :)

Used to be better
Costs money to progress or you’ll spend months trying to.
Used to be a really good game. I enjoyed adding little huts around the island and really progressed but recently downloaded again and unfortunately it’s not worth it.
Everything requires money now which is a real shame.
I would have actually spent a lot of money on this game for the extras but I’m not paying just to do literally anything in the game. Disappointed. Not worth the download.
Edit: I’m sure there are other ways to gain in game currency however there is no obvious way to progress through the game at all. All a guessing game.

Good game but glitchy
I enjoy the game but three times now after it had taken hours to make a material and then I went to use it the game glitches and I not only lost the action that was being undertook but the product that was just made too. It has taken ages to redo this.....

my sister downloaded the app and was playing but the options like the tech point shop and puzzles wouldn’t work anymore. it’s like the screen was locked. we deleted the game and downloaded it. nothing was fixed. we restarted the phone. and nothing was fixed. we had to start a whole new village by pressing settings before we pressed play. please tell us how to fix it in case it happens again
