Very good app!

Easy to use

Does not work on iPhone?

The app does not let you sign in once you have created an account? Just keeps sending me to the login page and says that a verification email has been sent to activate the account? Opening the verification link in the web browser gives a 403 Forbidden error? Kind of stuck now…

Great app … almost perfect

The app is great in general for searching for and buying items, and especially great for searching for items by local store. The one feature missing that would make this perfect is a location filter on your saved Favourite list. If I’m out and about and want to see which of my favourite items may be in stock at the local store, I have to go through my list one item at a time which takes time and sometimes crashes the app. Please, please consider adding this feature!

Pls remember me!

The app is really easy to use and great for finding out which shop/Town to reserve items for collection rather than paying £3 postage on each item! I just wish it would remember who I am and would stay logged in, you pop out of the app to check something or respond to a notification and then go back and your out and have to log back in ! So frustrating and unnecessary but other then that’s it’s fine :)

The app is easy enough to navigate but the bugs really need addressing.

Been using this app for a while and even though it’s easy to navigate there are some annoying crashes now and again but the most thing at the moment is it just logs you out so many times and you have to type all your details again? Why they haven’t supported Face ID I’ll never know.

Unable to copy and paste login password.

It has not been possible to copy and paste my password into this app through 1 Password for several months. I would appreciate this being resolved as I’m only able to use the app for reference purposes. As the length and complexity of passwords is important for security reasons. Until the matter is resolved I will no longer be using the app to make purchases.

Good app

I like CeX because if you get a game on a PS5 for a example you will get higher prices for a game but in CeX you get those games on the PS5 for a cheaper price and more profitable and you can buy other items like phones consoles,laptops and earphones such stuff like that and you can sell you’re items as well and can get a discount or money

Do they actually test it?

I’m guessing the people who develop the app haven’t actually used it much themselves. It’s really not user friendly at all and is frustrating to use. Here is everything I find wrong with this app:
1) When you’ve searched for something and start scrolling through the results, it jumps down. It’s really disorientating and you miss some of the top results.
2) After you’ve searched for something, if you then go to search for something else and edit what you typed, the cursor keeps jumping back to the end after every letter you type. So basically you have to delete your previous search and start from scratch.
3) When deleting items from your basket, you can only do one at a time. Rather than being able to select multiple at once to delete in one go. To make it worse, the notification that pops up at the bottom every time you delete an item covers up the button for you to delete the next item, so you have to wait after every single item is deleted. It’s infuriating.
4) If you add an item from your favourites to your basket, it removes them from your favourites. This is regardless of whether you end up purchasing the item or not.
5) The app used to contain a digital version of your membership card. This was really helpful. But it doesn’t anymore, or if it does I can’t find it anywhere.
6) Stock notifications only ever come through the following day when something is back in stock. Sometimes it’s already sold out again by the time you receive it and check. And of course, the stock alert is deleted so you have to set it up again.

App doesn’t accept my Name on my account for home delivery! Or Clock and Collect! This is a recent problem and despite re entering all the data in all the relative fields it doesn’t accept!
I’ve even deleted the app and reinstalled it which makes no difference
It is stopping me from making further purchases!

Selling phones with significantly degraded batteries

I advise against buying from this store - in store you now don’t get refunds and only 48 hours to bring back with credit only. They are not clear about battery health and significantly battery degraded phones needing service are sold as ‘b’ grade. On ‘their’ testing they don’t deem anything wrong with this. Please buy second hand in more reputable and transparent places or you will lose your money.

I really want to 🫶CEX…

but they make it SO infuriatingly difficult to sometimes. For one thing they really need to do some nationwide staff training on how Philips Hue products work. I’ve used their products for about a decade and every single time I buy a new product and attempt selling the previous model on to CEX there’s issues despite identical items being listed on their website (I’ve been told more than once with a bored eye roll that ‘if it’s listed on the website we buy it’).
I suggest the training because, let’s be honest, it’s pretty shoddy of CEX to be greeting people with blank stares at having products from the market leader in any electrical product presented to them.
This time I tried drop & go in the hopes of bypassing the bemused look that often greets me upon producing Hue products. Holy cow, I don’t think it’s possible to have been more wrong. At time of writing this it’s been 11 days since I left them instore. During that time they - lost them (first few days), blanket failed every single item (hence the store-wide Hue training suggestion)! and, after a lot of back & forth with online support and my providing them with details explaining how everything works, they’ve now failed a bunch of lightstrip extensions for not having the electrical plug socket plugs on them that they don’t need 😵‍💫 I mean, there’s a very definite clue in the name of the product that suggests they’re extensions to other lightstrips (the lightstrips that they’ve okayed to buy which will leave me with extensions that are no longer of any use to me and that I can no longer demonstrate work to another potential buyer. Excellent.
So now i have to undertake another 2hr round trip (I sold them so far away as I had to travel to that store to pick up some headphones I’d bought and thought ‘save some time, kill two birds with one stone’ - honestly, it’s going to rank in all-time bad decisions as even that day I’d travelled home with the headphones to discover upon connection that they’d sold me an inferior model so had to trek back again) to collect what’s been rejected. So by the end of today they’ll have had my stuff 9 days, had me engaged in back and forth emails all week and physically taken, like, 5-6 hours out of my life due to, I’m sorry, but ineptitude. With a little bit of indifference as a side order.
I’ve given 3 stars because, as I said in the title, I really want to love CEX, anywhere else that treated a longtime customer like this would be a straight up 1 star.

Perry barr one stop store full of liars and scammers

I have constantly had problems with this store selling me locked amazon fire sticks, faulty hard drives and u tested devices. I bought an arzopa screen and it was wrapped in protetive material before i left the store. When i got home the screen had damage on it and the store blamed me and said it was treated as accidental. I later found an old picture i had taken of the device still behind their display with the damage, proving the staff lied. They had to have damaged it and to save their job, put it on display anyway to take advantage of whoever bought it. I say this because of the shady behavior. When if first returned it, i was given a timeframe of 30 minutes, i return in 30 minutes and im told by the person who checked in the item, that i need to wait 5 more minutes. Half an hour later, im approached by a completely different member of staff who says they called the manager and the manager said not to take it back. I wonder why all the hush hush and whispering and having me wait an extra half hour while they get their story straight and then when he did come to explain it to me, he didnt start off openly saying i was at fault, he went around a long winded line about testing even though he admit he has no proof of it working prior to sale. This is a danerous and thieving location that will steal your money and happily tell you they wont refund you. The entire time this guy spoke to me he squinted down his nose and i could see the hate pouring out of him.

Great app but needs filter in favourites

I’d give this app 5 stars if you could filter the stores in your favourites section.

App buggy

While I love the shop and have bought a number of things on it, I find the app does not perform well at all. The search is clunky, and when trying to view the individual products (to view images and descriptions), they don’t seem to want to open. When trying to access the website on your phone it automatically defaults to opening the app so I can’t bypass the poor user experience that way without deleting the app (which I’m about to do). It was always pretty clunky but recently it’s got much worse. Such a shame!

Broken App doesn’t load anything from search or favourites, buggy mess

This app simply does not work. When both manually searching an item and selecting it to view or loading from favourites nothing loads and just leads to a blank screen. Also when going back after viewing an item from favourites and returning to your list in favourites, the app constantly puts you at the beginning of the list meaning you have to always scroll to get back to where you left off. More often than not it won’t load the rest of your favourites list. It should remember where you were in the list and you can then continue browsing from there onwards. Please fix this broken and unusable app. It has been like this for months!

Item lasts about 2 weeks till it has extreme complications

The sight itself is very useful but the promised products are not. Bought Airpod Max’s (good condition because great was sold out) around January this year and used them occasionally throughout the year till February with no drops, damage, anything of the sort and for some reason they are basically unusable. Not even up to a full month and there was already countless faults, noise cancellation issues, activating siri by itself constantly, not connecting for days even though its charged and clean and sound working at all. If you care about saving money please do, im not even sure they do full refunds.

Great Buying and Selling Site

Following some initial apprehension, I’ve now made numerous purchases from CEX, some of which have been expensive e.g. boxed new iPhones. The descriptions of the items I’ve purchased have been very accurate and I’ve been delighted with all of them. The single occasion I’ve had to go back to my local CEX Store after a fault occurred in one of my purchases, the guarantee was honoured and the fault (in an iPhone) was resolved in 24 hours…Outstanding Service and Well Done CEX!

Revamped version is a travesty - you've ruined it!!!!!!!

In the Cex voucher entry section you need to allow the Issue Time to be separated by colons NOT forward slash. At the moment the forward slash prevents the Cex voucher details being accepted. I have to use the website instead to purchase with Cex voucher. This app is still dreadful to use and all the points made below are still relevant.
Please relaunch the predecessor because it did work. Scrolling through Favourites from Low to High, the list jumps back and forth instead of a steady increase to higher values. Also when you look at an entry in Favourites and go back to list the screen loses the place where your were looking and reverts to start of list-bad!

They’ve saved me thousands!

I’ve been a CeX customer for years. They get all my old electronics and I buy most of my electronics from them and honestly if I were to calculate how much money they have saved me it’s probably in the realm of a deposit for a house. They have 24 month warranty, which I have never had to use fortunately and their customer service is fab.

It’s improving

App is getting better with each update. Would be great if we could set up saved searches for one click searching. E.g Format, Store, Sort Order. Often searching for the same thing at my locals but it’s so many clicks each and every time I open the app. Typical scenario goes like this: Open app, Three lines, Gaming, scroll and find console, games, Filter, Stores, search box, type store name, click store name, see all results, see all results again, relevance, product name A-Z, Apply. Finally results
How it should be: Open app, Three lines, Saved Searches, press on a saved custom named and set up search. Boom Results

Trouble signing in

Had an account for a while with cex but recently I’ve been having issues trying to log in I’ve done the password reset and still cannot sign in my girlfriend tried to sign up as a new customer on her phone and when she pressed continue nothing happened so I figure its something to do with the app? Still Trash - Needs Complete Redesign

So several months after the CEX app redesign, nothing has been improved. It’s still slow and cumbersome, often failing to find any results at all following a search. Useful information is now hidden behind several more screens. CEX has never had a good app (why in 2024 can I still not filter items by my local store only?), but every reiteration is now actively making it worse. It really does feel like the owners of CEX are trying to discourage their customers from purchasing from them (it’s working - I very rarely use this app now). Fire your developers and hire new ones.

Disappointed with Update

I don’t usually leave reviews, ever, on anything, but I needed to share my disappointment to the app’s new design which it has now forced me to update to.
On the previous design of the app you could search for whatever it is you’re looking for. Just typing it into the search box would list everything matching this description showing the selling price, cash trade in & voucher trade in. Now you have to actually tap into the item to be able to view these.
I use CEX a lot mainly buying but also occasionally trading in and this change has made comparing prices slower.
In the new design the search result now shows the category the item is in, which is unnecessarily large and prominent. Making this smaller you would be able to fit the selling price, cash trade in & voucher trade in into the search results; just like it was on the previous design. This is a quality of life change and would make the usability of the app much better, especially as this was on the old design but has been removed.
A positive I like about the new design however is for phone models, when you’re on a product you can now easily see all of the options for the colour, grade & unlocked/carrier locked options.

App is broken

Since the latest update I have been unable to login as the app does not display a captcha for me to complete. I also cannot report an issue using the app so I’m basically stuck with just using their online site. It’s a shame because prior to this unneeded update it was working perfectly.
*update* since this review I have deleted and reinstalled the app, and now I just have a white red and pink screen whenever I click to open it. I have no idea what the app developers did, but I genuinely believe if something is not broke you should not try to fix it! The app was brilliant as it was… real shame

Latest 2024 patch

Whatever you guys did to the “search box” put it back! I thought I was typing too fast or auto correct was changing my inputs, but upon slowly typing each letter I could see the search box try to predict what I was searching for, then autofill before I could correct it e.g. searching Pokemon Crystal changes to “Pokémonon Crystall” and then I have to retype the whole thing.
Edit: CEX is a bit scummy with their pricing, but their devs for this app are on point - a couple of days later, the above issue was fixed with a message apologising. In this day and age, it goes a long way having people like that work for a company! Easy 5 stars now

Keep listening to user feedback and making improvements

This latest update seems to fix the search functionality, which makes the app useable again. Performance seemed slightly better too. I’m pleased that the developers are monitoring feedback and making improvements. Please continue to fix the problems reported by other users to make the app even better!

I consider searching for products via the app to be broken since the latest redesign. It’s fine to auto suggest products when typing, but I’ve never seen a UI which changes your text input based on it’s suggestions. As an example, I wanted to search for “Silent Hill” After typing “Si” the app corrected it to “So”. If I continue typing the whole word, the app gives me “Stolent” instead of “Silent” which I actually typed. Bizarre and unexpected behaviour. I shall revert to using the website, which doesn’t behave this way, until this is fixed.

Nope, still not fixed

App still messed up in search box. If use space bar on keypad to move back along the text entered, once you press a character it then moves cursor to end of the currently inputted text. It is almost as if the developers are still learning how to make an app.
The CEX card (main reason for having the app) is no longer available in the App so cannot be scanned in-store & no account history of sales/purchases is available in the app either! Having the app was handy when passing by the store & may not have wallet with you. If could add the CEX to the Apple Wallet itself, I may be able to let this slide but if I want to buy something in store if passing, the employee now has to ask me for personal info in front of other customers to bring my account up!
All the useful bits of the previous versions of the app have been removed! Who signed off on this? The customers seem to be the ones being used to beta test builds of this app instead of the developers doing their jobs!

predictive text on search bar

Sooo the app itself recently has became pretty good and straightforward, can find what you want and see where it is on the touch of a screen…the main problem though for the app is the horrible predictive text when searching for products, an example is when i tried to search “Asus” for a monitor it would change it to Ash, Asu’s, Ashes before finally letting me type “Asus” this also happens with pretty much any word but it can be very annoying when you are trying to search for something and not realised it has heavily changed the search bar and then you have to go and try and type it all again…if that could be fixed the rating could be higher than 3 stars

Nice but a few issues

I’ve been using the app to save games and such that I like and I’ve never had any issues until today
Now when I open it on my phone the screen is just blank. I can still tap everything just fine but when I look in my shopping cart it only shows saved items and WeSell, no WeBuy. And if I go to one of the tabs at the side it’ll say Loading Products for a few seconds and only show a blank screen with the search bar
If I press the search bar to look up a game the searches won’t even show ether and I can’t sign in ether even though I’ve changed my password as well which made me to download it on the tablet which won’t even work there ether, it only shows just a blank white screen and if I tap on where the account option is it’ll only be a red screen or say that I need to check my connection
This has never happened to me before but I hope it’ll get resolved as the CeX app has been a timesaver for me

New update is clunky to search

The new update has many good features. However, I’m finding that the search bar autocorrect is behaving oddly. It seems to want to autocomplete words I’m halfway through typing, and often takes several attempts to get through a title. Also, on my 2020 iPhone SE, on the search results page almost half the screen is taken up by the filter and sort options, leaving space to display less than 1.5 items underneath. I appreciate that this is a personal taste thing but I find browsing punishing when I can’t see say 4-5 items on a page at once. I’m certainly doing less casual browsing when I’m bored which is great for my wallet though.

Old app far better then current

The new app is some of the worst “updates” I’ve ever seen the number one issue for me the auto correct you have built int app stops me using it I go to type lga 1200 it goes to legs,I type gtx it goes to thx, rtx goes to etc,msi goes to main all automatically so im having to then delete what its decided to fill and slowly type each letter in remove this feature I’ll give 3 stars but my god the app crashes when using vouchers to pay I gave up and used the website which again the new design is horrible to look at but at least it works where the app doesn’t

Not happy with the new app

The last iteration of the CEX app was so much easier to map your way through. The new app doesn’t give you the tools to go back to where you were suffering and doesn’t hold previous items you would like to look into. this app looks good but is very clunky compared to what we had before. I need to see the list of items to compare class price and spec this is almost impossible to do so. Before you would have pages to compare, now that has gone and every time you want to view something you have to re-enter your your request time and time again. Please look into this as I can see people binning the app to go elsewhere.

Good update but always loading…

When going back to a menu it really shouldn’t need to load again, it wastes time and feels clunky. Other than that I like the new design a lot, there’s just a couple of annoying things like having the nearest store always at the top even though I’ve selected my preferred store as a different one and can’t get to the store that’s technically closest to me; I should be able to dismiss this or it should change to my preferred store once selected. Also there are marketing push notifications that I can’t turn off in settings. That’s quite poor. Overall 4 stars, would change to 5 if these bugs were addressed.

Saved items

I really like the app and enjoy shopping in the different stores and also don’t mind buying online even with the dearer postage prices even though I do believe that if multiple items come from the same store they should combine the cost. My issue is with the latest update all my saved items have disappeared. Even if I save some thing new then go to saved there’s nothing there! I’ve tried deleting the app and signing back in and all the usual fixes and still no joy. Please help. Also if I search an item I’ve previously saved it shows the heart ❤️ symbol, go to saved and still nothing there 🤷🏼‍♂️

Outstanding app for store!!!

Outstanding app found what I needed great info on Q&A bit but please can u lose all the out of stock item in list as tons of them and annoying when looking though lots of things, and when item come up can u put store it at somewhere to save checking if it is? Only to be disappointed or only put item in list for store you looking on ok cheers other than that fantastic !!!! 👍👌😎😀

I am obsessed with gaming and gaming equipment, I am also a child with no money. This is not good. I need cheap stuff to fuel my weird computer-related obsessions. This app has helped me. I brought some stuff, cleaned it and made a tiktok. It’s good content. Good content = views. Views = money. Money = the ability to buy even more stuff. That = the ability to make more content. I Would Highly Not Recommend This Site ❌❗️, every item I have sold in the past has been a HUGE Price Drop, These People Just Want Money So A Couple Years Later, They Can Sell it for Stupid Cheap. Its Absolutely Stupid, You Guys Are Robbing People When They Want To Sell. You Guys Over Charge Every Single Item but Sell it for Cheap When it’s Not Relevant. E.g. I’m looking at a Nintendo Wii, You Sell it for £38 and Buy for Cash at £8 Isn’t that Ripping You Off?? Another is Xbox Series S You Sell it For £250 but Buy For Cash is £59 Because it’s Not Relevant? Buggy app, poor selling experience

I rarely write app reviews but the Cex app is so awful to use, I had to.
Firstly the user process to sell DVD'S or games is slow and cumbersome. Take a look at ziffit, music magpie or webuybooks for simple user experience - on all those it's a simple point camera and that's it. Cex it's 5 clicks.
But worse the app is buggy. Often the basket doesn't load and I had to close the app and restart to see the basket. Then during checkout it triplicated most of my basket contents, taking another hour to sort out.
If there were a way of selling at cex without using this app, I'd take it

Barcode Scanner Non Responsive

I have been a loyal customer to CEX for years and trade with them very large transactions. I can never fault them as a company. Unfortunately the app doesn’t reflect the qualities I have experienced with the company. The feature i use the most is the Barcode Scanner which as of this morning (automatic App Update overnight) simply doesn’t work. I’ve tried 17 different barcodes which are visible in the viewfinder but it just doesn’t recognise that anything is being shown. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice. I’ve checked for software updates and completed a device reset twice without any success. App is being used on iPhone 13. Please help with this feature. Thank you

Great app with one annoying bug.

Update-despite recent responses from the devs that the “Near me” function has been fixed since 3.0.3 to stop picking stores in Cornwall…it still doesn’t work for me. This new release version of 3.1.0 does exactly the same despite the fact I’m just outside London.
Use the app a lot for tracking down what I’m after but over the last few updates an annoying bug has crept in. The Near Me option in the Filter screen keeps picking stores in Cornwall despite me living 40 miles outside London. Reinstalling doesn’t help and have recently changed phones and problem is still present so not a cache issue. Doesn’t stop me using the app but would be nice if it gets fixed.

Keeps signing me out

Nice and easy to use app. Unfortunately it keeps signing me out whenever i close the app. I have to keep signing back in to check my wishlist. Also it doesn’t save your CEX membership card. It lets you scan and save your card, but when you leave the app and come back in. You’ve been signed out and no card is saved. It would also be nice to add your vouchers. I have vouchers all over the place. Some used or half used. It would be good to have all vouchers linked to our accounts.

Fantastic app, just as simple and straight forward as the website, easy way to find what’s in stock online or in store helps the lazy people so we don’t have wasted trips thought I would also just say second hand products from this store 99% of the time there was just a game that never worked but could of been my console but I’m saying that popped in store and staff changed it no problem thank you CEX keep up the good work from a loyal fan.

The memory of a Gold fish

The app itself is solid as a shop. But it never remembers who you are from one day to the next. CEX tell you to reinstall the app if this happens, but that doesn’t help. Every time you start the app you have to go through the introduction of how to use the app. It never remembers your login details so you have to go through that process every time you open it. Has no copy/ paste at the login screen so you can’t save time on your details. The email reminders for items coming in stock rarely work. Went through my wishlist which is set up with email reminders yesterday and over two dozen items had been restocked and I’ve not been alerted about any of them.
CEX also needs to figure out something with their delivery charges because ordering multiple items and having to pay individual delivery charges on each item is ridiculous. You could buy 5 items that could be posted together for around £3.20 and end up paying 5x £1.95. It completely kills the idea of purchasing multiple low cost items as you end up paying way over the odds for them with the individual delivery charges. I get why they do it; because the items are at random stores. But that cost shouldn’t be passed on to the consumer.

Great shop and app

Very easy to browse and shop on the app. Great that you have different options and prices on your items too just like the store. So you could chose the cheaper option of a console with a smaller storage or the more expensive option because it’s a deluxe edition of a game. Payment methods have been easy and all my previous orders are stored too so good for checking when items were bought for warranty purposes. My kids obviously prefer the actual stores but the app is perfect for me.

Clunky

I find it a bit glitchy. One glitch is the CAPITA verification doesn’t allow you to select any squares so I cannot get past this request on the app. Also, when putting in password, a pop up keeps asking you to input your password. I have to click away from the pop up so I can click on the button to get logged in. Also when scanning the barcode, you have to click on the screen before it will scan. It took me a while to realise it didn’t just automatically scan when holding up the phone camera to the barcode. Apart from that it’s fine.

my honest cex review

I’m my opinion cex is one of the best tech stores I have ever visited. Games are cheap and good quality. Customer service is nice. Everything you want from a good store! I would much rather pay 28 pounds for a triple a game that is second hand than paying 60 pounds and it not being second hand. If the game works then what’s the problem buying second hand? And on top of all that i got a £90 voucher for trading in my old Xbox 360 games which is great 👍 honestly my only ‘problem’ is that my delivery came later than expected. But that’s about it. Would definitely recommend giving cex a visit

Loss of Apple Pay / Menu Navigation!!

The app is simple enough to use and for the most part it’s convenient, two annoying things however;
Loss of Apple Pay - this was such a convenient and quick way to pay, especially when on the move without faffing around getting card details (it could also offer to save your payment details as an alternative). Not sure why this was removed in one of the recent updates? Feels like a step backwards!
Menu Navigation - For example I’m looking through a retro game sub category such as Dreamcast games, I should be able to hit the back button and come back to the retro gaming menu so I can choose another format to browse rather than the Home Screen and starting again?

Great buy!

Already bought a number of cameras from Cex, and although it entailed a round trip of over 160 miles, traded my Nikon D7000 for a newer D5600. Yes, I could have dropped off mine locally and had the new one sent, I wanted to take a look personally to make sure it was all good, not that I’ve ever found that they don’t describe items accurately! Fair pricing and great service from the team at St Austell in Cornwall , but the icing on the cake was that even being what is termed ‘B’ condition, the camera was absolutely mint, and the shutter count (actuations) was less than 300!

Good app but..

Yes it’s a great app, easy to browse and looks good. Inputting your voucher codes can be a very time consuming process on a phone though if you have several to use, so much so that I’ve had things in my basket go out of stock whilst I’ve been tapping the details in! Could we not get physical vouchers that could be scanned within the app?
One more slightly irritating thing that happens every time you sign in to the app is that it goes through the mini tutorial. This only takes a few seconds but it happens every time I sign in and can’t be skipped. It doesn’t detract much from a great app but surely it’s not necessary every time? Otherwise, an easy to use and excellent app!

Excellent shop

Recently I brought an iPhone 11 from the shop and it appears to be in excellent shape and it is also very useful for such a cheap price. At first I thought it would be too good to be true. I would highly recommend it to all people as it would be very beneficial for u rather than buying a iPhone 11 for a cost higher and not as good as from the shop CeX. I am very lucky to have had the chance to buy this phone for such an amazing price and I think you should too!

Amazing Service

I have used CEX to sell old electronic goods on several occasions and each time they provide a fair valuation and honour it. In fact they go above and beyond; for example when I left a memory card in a device without booking it in, I assumed it would be kept. Instead they offered to return it or buy it off me at a reasonable price. Now that’s professional service! CEX have earnest my loyalty.

Amazing!

I have known CEX for more than 4 years and I have been a customer too, every time I want to browse something I go to the website itself but this application is amazing and convenient because you don’t have to go to the website but now you can literally go on the app which takes few seconds and browse what you want! So far I love it and I definitely recommend it!

App crashes

Ok, so I’ve just installed the app as I’ve enjoyed buying from CeX online and thought it would be handier using my phone to check my account.
Initially I was pleased that the app layout was as user friendly as the website but on checking my purchases the app opened up my top two orders in my list without any problems but having tried to open the third order in my list the app crashed - THREE TIMES! 😉👎
I’ve an iPhone 6s Plus running the latest iOS version of 12.1.4 and it hasn’t proved problematic on any other app, just this CeX app and always crashes when trying to access the third order in my list. To quote the late Lewis Carroll.... “Curiouser and curiouser!” Cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English).” This is indeed a conundrum and hopefully one the app developer can iron out in a coming update?
Other than that, a decent app I look forward to using quite a bit in the future! 😉👍

Great app but not fluid

The app is fantastic it works seamlessly with managing your orders as well as finding products you want quickly, much better than the website too may I add which is a plus.
The only issue I have with it saving items to your well “saved items” on the website does not save them to the app it’s just not synced properly, when you are signed in to both website and app. This would need updating as it would be a hassle to add them again on the mobile platform or vice versa.

CeX is the best

It’s laid out exactly like the website but it’s better as you can scan your items, if you want to sell, instead of having to type in what you are looking for. It’s also better than the site in that when you are looking to buy something, you can find out where the closest store is that have what you are looking for, not just which stores have it. If there is one drawback, it is that you can’t get alerts of price changes. I could have saved a lot of time and energy when I was selling if I had known that the prices were going to go down while I was already on my way to my closest store. Other than that, it is the perfect app.

Awesome!

Use CEX over any other media shop both online and in town.
Never had an issue or problem with my purchases, exchanges or sales with them.
The staff are awesome with great customer service and they (Unlike other retailers now) know their stuff and will hunt down what you need!
For example they sorted out all their Skylanders figures into price range and put them in boxes so my 3 year old could select new ones with his pocket money. Absolutely above the call of duty with CEX.
The only 2 things I want added to the app guys is a default “Home Store” option. So it shows everything I’ve searched for with my local CEX first then the rest of the country.
The other is to add my Vouchers on so we don’t lose them. A transfer option so we got it virtually.
Apart from that it’s awesome!

Sweet...

Been with cex for a while now, they have bought my iPhones when I no longer wanted them, and paid me what I was happy with directly into my bank account. Only just decided to see if they did an app for my phone, and thankfully they do. Installed it and checked my account details straight away, only had to change my mobile number. From what I have seen of it up to now it seems sweet. Another reviewer mentioned a scanner being removed from the app, for me personally I don’t really mind there not being one, but if one was put back in I would be glad of it if I needed something like that in the future. I will defo be back to update this review regularly, hopefully never negatively.
