This sh sucks

On all the ads they make it out like you play the game a get a bunch of money for free that’s not how it is at all, you get 5p at a time and once you start making it to pounds like £3-5 they start asking you to spend money on the games anyway! To actually get to the higher amounts,it’s a complete waste of time unless you want to spend hours all day on games just to get £1.50. That you can’t even withdraw till you make it to £70

You won’t get rich but….

Managed to make a decent sum of money over a period of about a year. Some games are better than others so just look around and find the games that are the most fun to play.

Not bad, however, I have £400 sat in the pot that I can’t take out because the app won’t link PayPal, when you open a ticket nobody gets bs k to you.

Actually works

I was sceptical at first after all its free. It does take quite a while to get money as it starts off low but once you get into the game you don’t even realise when you earned something plus I find it a new way to find new games

Doesn’t work

Starting to think this is a scam !!!!! I’ve been playing this for a week and the games I downloaded are not syncing with the app therefore it is not marking my progress and I’m not getting any rewards for playing.
Customer service support is nonexistent. I emailed 3 times and still no response.

Nice app, one issue

A nice little way to make a bit of cash from playing games! Within a few months I made just over £200 by playing 3 different games. Withdrawing the money was easy and it was in my Paypal account in a few days.
My only issue is you can only use the device you first downloaded the game on which can stall progress if your phone breaks or you get an upgrade. Otherwise I’m very happy and will keep playing!

Works for me

I was sceptical when I downloaded but thought nothing ventured… it does take a while and you ain’t gonna get rich but if you play games lots like I do you might as well earn pocket money on the side. I’ve successfully withdrawn my initial £70 and recently my second £35+ but it has taken months not days! It works for me and it’s not a con that doesn’t pay. Give it a go

Banned for no reason

I went to withdraw for the first time, did the facial scan and got instantly banned. I asked customer service to help, this was a waste of time! Not only do you have to wait weeks for one single reply! The reason they gave me was for a duplicate account? I’ve only made one account, when I asked them to give me details of the other account they dodged the question, I’ve waited two months and this issue still is not resolved! Pretty good

I have earned money with 3 games and had the pay out so happy with that. My main problem is that I have tried to play a few games but it hasn’t tracked the download. It is not a simple process to report or rectify this so I haven’t bothered. I just deleted the games which means you can’t earn with them in the future. Seems to be a common tracking issue that needs fixing

Shocking

Yet again the same as most survey apps saying you can cash out in 24 hours or earn a certain amount - yes you can but only by absolutely devoting your life and months to a single game for not much payout…. I have had this now for 8 months and I am up to £41 which is nice for a side gig…. No where near as good as Freecash which I now use instead, don’t get me wrong it’s not perfect but better than having to wait until I get to £70 to be able to cash out!!!!
This is how they hook you and make money from you! You spend months playing their games and watching ads to earn them money and their biggest hope and the reason as to why the cash out is only after £70 is because they are hoping you’ll give up! That’s how they make their money off of peoples hard time and work - it’s a scam without actually being a scam - but it’s so unbelievably scummy! At least with Freecash I can cash out when I get to £5!
It’s funny I’ve never ever written a review for anything but I devoted that much time to this app and effort and it’s all for nothing and I hope that people know not to waste their time after seeing this…. It’s not worth it guys!!!

Genuine app

First of all It’s a genuine app , you can actually earn money by playing games you enjoy, it’s never going to be life changing money like some of the adverts will have you believe but you can earn a decent amount over a longer period of time, I’ve genuinely earned just over £100 in about 18-24 months just playing games I would have played anyway and the payouts are fairly quick and easy , if I had 2 complaints it’s that number 1 a lot of the games you play rely on you spending your own money to win and some of the amounts are quite ridiculous & number 2 not all the games work properly despite following the exact rules set out and I’ve missed out on earning some cash because of this , you follow exactly and it works for some games but not others despite it being pretty much the same for all of the games, overall though it’s a great app and really works, well worth downloading it if you enjoy playing these games why not get paid for it

It actually works guys

I’m not a bot btw I’m a real person. I’ve been using testerup for I think over a year and I’ve cashed out nearly £500 from it since I started. Litch js try to find an addicting game they offer and you’re sorted. Usually I go for merging games and battle games like castle duels, merge dragons and I always go for games that are like coin master. Farkle is also a really good one alongside hot rolls (made by the same company). All in all, js gives me some extra money, it takes a like a month (for me anyway) to get to £70 to cash out but that bcs I have an account that’s oldish but newer ones are £20 to cash out from what I’ve seen. I’ve put my bf, his younger brother, my dad and a few friends on this and they’re very grateful, even tho they thought it was a scam. Great app and the only real one I have ever found. 10/10 will forever use and keep promoting it as much as I can.

Fun way to earn a little extra cash

So having see a reality tv person advertise this I thought I would give it a go. A lot of the games you can earn cash on I already have so I had to find one that I didn’t have. Some of the targets are quite hard unless you spend hours a day playing the games or spend real money. However some of the cashback bonuses aren’t too bad. Over 3 games I managed to earn about £40
In a couple of months. You have to watch the time period for earning the bonuses though as it can soon disappear ! And you definitely need to find a game easy to play and that will keep your interest. Only 1 of the 3 games I downloaded do I still play. Now I need to find a new one to play and earn. Getting paid out was easy enough. I linked mine to PayPal and it was there within minutes when I wanted to withdraw.

Focus is on in app purchases

To be honest it’s a great idea for people who do play mobile games for fun to earn a bit while they play although it does add up it’s also very frustrating as the apps are fully focused on in app purchases well the ones I’ve played are anyway like monopoly for instance it’s great while you’ve got dice but then you’re forced to wait like an hour to reload only 5 so what it’s trying to do is get you to spend money to continue playing which kind of defeats the object of earning while playing it contradicts it’s self , if people were brought to these games by you why not load them with some free in app purchases so we can see without spending our money how it betters the game and give feedback to say if I would of thought the £3 price tag was worth it ect same on family island it’s ok while you’ve got energy and gems but when you’re out there’s basically nothing else to do other than wait again .im going to try and find games that don’t have in app purchases to see if the experience is better but got paid out £42 to my PayPal now so don’t seem too bad at all transfered to my bank no problem

Ignore the hype

Testerup can make you money. It can make you a small amount of money if you are able to devote hours each day to game play. I tried to play for 2-3 hours per day - it took me months to be able to reach the cash out £20 limit and that included me taking them up on a couple of cash back offers. The bonus amounts are in my opinion only reachable if you are prepared to put your own money in from in game purchases. The updated app was much easier to use, but it is still absolute work to make even the cash out amount. The ads are exceptionally misleading- I did get paid (over 2 weeks after I requested it) but not in the 24-hours the ad suggested and how people are making the amounts ‘suggested’ in the ads is beyond me - they must have an amazing amount of free time. Please don’t be misled by the ads. You can make a small amount of money from playing 2-3 hours each day over a few months - but the speed bonuses would require significant time investment and also, most likely your own money invested too. In my opinion, it just wasn’t worth it and I wouldn’t recommend.

Love this app

When I first downloaded this app I was confused about how it worked in regards to pending funds and funds available for payout. Then my daughter downloaded it, so I went back on it. Then I couldn’t understand why my limit for payout was £70 and my daughters was £20, but anyway I carried on with the games regardless until I reached my limit. When my limit was reached I have to admit, I wasn’t sure if I would get a payout or not. I went through the security that was required and submitted it. To my surprise within 24/48 hours my payout was approved and It was paid into my PayPal account. Since then, I have been using this app daily and have had 2 more payouts. Don’t get me wrong, it does take a while to get a decent balance, and sometimes you have to make ingame purchases, but in my opinion. This has to be the best app for me so far where you can earn a bit of cash while playing games, and I’m loving the new update. It’s so much easier to navigate. Thank you testerup.

Was a good app but SORT THE TRACKING

I initially really enjoyed using this app to make some money whilst playing games - the rewards are great for some of the games. Others you can be playing for days and weeks on end and it’s impossible to reach the levels required for any substantial reward.
However, the thing that has really put me off is the tracking!! Or lack of! Almost every game I download now doesn’t track, despite me never having played the game before, clicking through everything correctly and accepting tracking. Help centre is just useless as they blame the customer giving some excuse as not having downloaded it properly which is extremely frustrating.
It makes me wonder whether it is a bit of a scam in which testerup are still getting paid as they have got people downloading the games they are advertising yet “conveniently” it has failed to track despite following all instruction correctly so they don’t have to follow through paying the customer. (As it always seems to conveniently be the higher paying games).

This is my updated on the app

So I got one off my account back which I’m so happy for really was start to earn but I had a problem I went to complete one off my tasks and I paid for one off the bundle 2 times 3 weeks apart from each other and I didn’t get it tick off so I contacted them and I was told it was already credited to my account when it wasn’t so there customer service can be a little frustrating and not understand so I never got the cash back that I should off got which wasn’t happy about also they are a little bit slow on adding new games to test they keep telling me they add new ones everyday but I being waiting for about 6 weeks for a new game and still having to play a old one till they put more on it but I’m not saying the app bad or anything but they need to work on a lot off stuff as well one being customer service and the other being adding more games to the app more offer and quicker

App is a scam

There’s a lot to like about being paid to test games and take part in surveys, but not when it’s with a company that deliberately defrauds its users. This app is a scam. It’s basically a pay to play and ad revenue generation tool for the people supplying the games and paying to promote them, who purport to be paying people to use its app. Testerup set the bar very high - 10p, 20p to achieve five levels and a £70 minimum payout for earned gameplay, meaning the hundreds of hours you’ve spent playing the games will ultimately be for nothing. And they will arbitrarily decide that you didn’t download the game properly or assume - even though you can prove otherwise - that you’ve previously downloaded the game, and deprive you of money you’ve earned from the game.
That’s before you even mention the incredibly badly designed UI, that makes you scroll through a long list of games just to find the ones that you’re playing, and auto refreshes every time you get a notification meaning you have to search through the game list again and again and again, and it’s not easy to see where the progress through different games is, or where money has been earned from. It would be good if the developers of the app could make the interface simpler and easier to navigate. It would be very easy to put the games with progress in their own section, but don’t be fooled in to thinking this app has any regard for its users - it does not. It is ONLY interested in drawing you in, and making you a wealth generator for their clients.
Never is this more apparent than when you contact their ‘support’ team. They will respond to you after three days and say “we aren’t going to help you because our problem is your problem and we don’t care about our users enough to respect them, only show our disdain by ripping them off.”

Great at earning money…. Not registering with some of the games

Great for earning money - have to be ready to spend some time playing the games to earn enough money although this isn’t an issue.
The only issue I have is with some of the games not registering as downloaded so not registering any of the goals completed despite not having downloaded the game before and the fact I’ve gone through tester up link to download as per instructions. When reporting these issues with screenshots and screen recording, I get the same repeated message from customer support saying I’ve downloaded the game before or not gone through their link even though in the reports I have mentioned that I’ve followed the instructions and am only downloading games I’ve not downloaded before plus downloading through their link. Other than that, I’ve been able to earn money through some of the games that have registered okay and been able to withdraw with no issues - takes a few days to come into PayPal but it’s worth having a bit of extra money when it does come through

Fun and Easy Way to Earn Extra Cash!

I’ve only just started using the app and I have to say it’s one of the most enjoyable ways to make a little extra money on the side. Unlike other apps that just have endless boring surveys, this one actually lets you test new games before they’re released. It feels great to know my feedback helps improve the games while I earn rewards at the same time.
The surveys are quick, clear, and usually don’t take too long, which makes it easy to do a few whenever I have spare time. The best part is that the payouts are legit and reliable.
The app’s layout is clean and easy to navigate, and I really like how new opportunities pop up regularly so there’s always something to do. If you enjoy gaming and want to turn your free time into something productive, I highly recommend giving this app a try!

Make no mistake, it’s advert farming disguised as game playing

I’ll start by saying that I’ve earned £7 so far and I’ve had it a week. The first bit of money is the easiest to make. You’ve got a decent amount of -boring- games to choose from and the first levels are the easiest and therefore the quickest to make cash on. I just made 20 pence on a level that took me 15 minutes speed running through it.
The harder levels mean you will need to watch advert after advert in order to gain lives in order to progress. There are stipulations for many of the worthwhile rewards that they must be passed within near impossible timeframes (800 levels within 8 days, madness!)
The surveys offer pennies rewards for up to 20 minutes of tedious questioning ( plus the checks for deeming if you’re suitable, which you’re probably not because you’ve answered the questions they wanted answering so they don’t need to pay you)
I’ll eat my hat if anyone has ever made the maximum from these games. In short, you’ll earn more money from finding pennies on the floor. I’ll update when I eventually get to a payout.

Pays better than many, but not perfect

Testerup does seem to have higher payouts than many of these type apps I’ve tried and it works pretty well but I have 2 reasons why I couldn’t give it 5⭐️. The first is that every time you open the app it refreshes, even if you only leave it for 1sec to check a notification, which isn’t great if you were checking game progress on the app and then you have to scroll all the way down to find the right game from the list again. The second is it is definitely not as easy to cash out as the ads would have you believe. You have to verify yourself for one thing (not hard but time consuming) and the minimum cash out is £20, which can take a while to get to depending on how much time you’ve got to play games and do surveys in a day and also which games you go for as some pay a lot better than others. Overall, good app that does what it’s supposed to, even if it the ads suggest payments are more instant than they are - but all these apps do that to some level, so I recommend you try it and come to your own conclusion.

Awaiting pay out

Had this app a while ago and never really used so my payout is higher than the new (£20) limit i have to get to £70 now despite the limit being higher Testerup has been a fun and rewarding app that I used I been playing the same game completing the offer, found myself becoming addicted to this game provided on the app. So much so I forgot about the limit being higher than others. Despite this I had fun playing the game and being awarded for doing so. Just cashed out for the first time so can not speak for how fast the pay outs are yet as I’m still waiting…..
but I’d recommend this app if you have the spare time. I’ve recommended a few of my family and friends and we turning it into a lil competition on who can get to the withdrawal limit first. “They beat me” but only because my limit was higher haha.
Overall great app! Definitely something to keep you busy while at work in the office or at home!

Clunky app

*update July 2025* Most of the games are bingo or gambling so I’m not interested, but when I find one I like I can get a couple of quid. I found one in particular that I loved and got £30 from. I’m not sure how much longer I’ll use the app as I don’t want to play bingo but I might give it a bit longer before deciding.
**
The app isn’t very user-friendly - you have to scroll down a list of all the currently available games and find the one you’re interested in seeing your achievements in, and then sometimes it doesn’t acknowledge that you’ve installed and opened a game so no matter how long you’ve spent playing it, you don’t get any rewards. When you then go back out of that particular task list you get bumped back up to the top of the list of games and have to start scrolling again to find the next one.
I sent a query about why some of my games weren’t getting the first task (instal and launch) marked and explained that I’d followed the correct link and had never downloaded the games before, but the response I got was that I needed to follow the correct link and never have downloaded the games before. I did reply but didn’t hear back.
I have slowly earned almost £9 this week and so I can’t comment on the cashing out process as you have to reach £20 first. I suspect I’ll delete the app at that point as there has been a 50/50 split of games that have and haven’t worked, and the rewards for each task are so small that it’s not worth the amount of time you spend playing the games. The biggest rewards are for completing tasks within 24hrs and for those you’d have to make in-app purchases and/or spend all day on the game.

Seems good but is it truthful

The games it asks you to play are pretty fun but length of time to get certain payouts is a bit long. Its okay if you have time on your hand ie no work or anything but tedious if you do, sometimes the app doesnt recognise that im playing a game, like i downloaded match factory and launched it, played on it for ages as it was a really fun game and when i went into the app to see what the targets were it was still staying that i needed to install and launch the app…..errrr ive passed loads of levels so i think i have done the first task for sure but no….its a shame cause its the only game that i genuinely feel like i can keep playing and playing and now feels like a waste of time cause it wont be earning me anything. Havent tried the pay out as you need at least £20 to cash out and after 2 months earned £12, but tbf its cause the games i was playing had a slow completion and werent fun to play after a while so werent enticed to go back

Get pay out after first £70 made

I gave the app a try last year and something put me off. I tried again this year and believe it was probably because you have to earn £70 before you can make a withdrawal to your PayPal account. You HAVE TO download the apps using THE LINK on the tester app and allow the sharing info. I have not had any spam e,mails or phonecalls so they are not sharing info out like that.
I enjoyed playing idle zombie minor and 3D match, I trialed monopoly go and coin master too, reached goals and got different amounts for each task. Some have to be completed in so many days it will state that, but you can miss that one and carry on getting the others if not fast enough to achieve it. They have a range of games to try. Only issue I have with it is it would be nice to have a tab to click current apps so you can look at the list easier instead of scrolling to find it amounts ones you have not started.

Genuine app

I downloaded the app with scepticism as I as sure there would be unachievable terms and conditions or measly rates of pay, but I play games anyway so I thought a few pence here and there might as well add up while I do.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the games and rates of pay on offer. The terms are clear and you genuinely do earn money for playing games with the option to cash out at any time. My one gripe is that some of the targets are not achievable unless you’re willing to spend a lot of money on the in app purchases, but you can also get cash back on some of those purchases.
I’ve only started one game but earned £20 already in a few weeks with once daily game play. Now I’m further into the game, the pay gets higher for each milestone and a few weeks left of the challenge.
If you play games anyway, I’d recommend this app to bank a little extra money while you play.

Very Buggy

I’ve had this app for a good few months now, all I can say is that when it works it seems good, however sometimes you can wait for a few minutes before it loads, sometimes it doesn’t register you’ve earned the money, but you can keep your eye on this in the app and not play the games that haven’t registered…. My recent issue is that now I have over £70 I can cash out, but the app needs to verify me first…. The verification process gets stuck at various stages and you have to keep starting over again to try get verified…. I’ve waited over 10 min for the process to finalise, both with 4G/wifi and with confirmed internet connection, but it just won’t finalise….. it’s either a complete con, or a really poor app…. Not sure which it is yet, but I’ve looked for a customer support email and can’t find anything….. 3 stars for now, would move to 4 stars if it wasn’t so buggy, and to 5 stars if it also paid out…..

It works until it doesn’t…

Tried this app, I’ve had it for a few months now and made just under £15 (not able to withdraw until I hit £20) tbf this is pretty decent considering I don’t go on it everyday. I downloaded a couple different games and the tracker on testerup matched my in game progress and I consequently received the rewards. HOWEVER, I tried installing some more games to find that the progress was never tracked. I would continue with the games checking off at least 3 or 4 goals which should’ve at least given me £1 per game in total - but the app just doesn’t even say I’ve installed the apps at all! Strange. I thought maybe there’s too many games going on at once so I completed my offers but nothing changed. I’ve contacted support but not heard back yet. Maybe others are also experiencing this issue. I think it has something to do with the new update. If they could fix that this app would be 5 stars!

Great App . . . However!

I love this app you literally get to earn whilst you play only thing is it isn’t as quick to get paid as it makes out when advertising & luring you in you gotta put in the time & you can’t get your first payment till you make £70 an well I’ll edit this when I finally get there 👍🏼 There’s not just games to play & test there’s also Surveys too an I like surveys however my only issue with TesterUp’s surveys is the questions can be very repetitive and 1 of them was actually rather upsetting it was a question asking to select any of the following medical conditions you’ve been formally diagnosed with & well unfortunately I had a few & after clicking submit they came back with a response saying choose lots of unrealistic answers will result in you not being given any surveys (They were suggesting I was just clicking options to make sure I got offered lots of surveys) I’m sorry but I don’t lie about stuff as serious as that and especially not just for surveys. So yes that went down like a led balloon. Other than that the app is okay but it could use some fine tuning especially when it’s asking us to do the work, it feels a bit like a slap in the face. Anyway yeah so that’s my opinion.

Awesome Concept - Sadly A Con

It really does feel like a massive con. I’ve been playing now for nearly 8 months and I’m just £1 away from the £70 minimum withdrawal amount. The last 3 games I’ve played and which I should have received a reward for, have, according to Testerup not loaded in their system! I’ve already been bitten by that sneaky restriction, so ensured that each game has downloaded and installed, and had its tick, as per Testerup instructions. But now they claim it’s not showing in their systems! 3 games? When I have done everything according to their requirements. The first time I learned, I didn’t check on the tick, so my loss, but the next 3 times, no way!! Customer service are not interested and totally ignore emails. Isn’t it interesting that when I’m so close to claiming the actual pay out, none of my games are showing up on their system? So I don’t believe all these claims about pay outs, especially at $20! Testerup have taken the fun out of what could be a great concept. Who wants to invest their time to be fiddled out of rewards and payment. Be aware!!! And read their bumpf before playing as there are all sorts of restrictions, especially time that you need to make yourself aware of.

Seems good so far

Been using the app since January. I’ve made £64. I have yet to withdraw, so I may update this review if that does not go well. I have played 2 games, one I completed all the testerup tasks, the other I stopped as I knew I wouldn’t complete the tasks in the timeframe, but I still made money on the tasks I did complete. A couple of the tasks did not complete within the testerup app but I contacted customer service and they eventually got back to me and credited what I was due. Can’t fault them for that. I am now playing 2 more games. Some of the tasks are potentially unrealistic, I had to complete 300 levels of a puzzle game in 1 day. Didn’t happen. Not sure if it would have been possible at all, but the other tasks seem achievable, so I will continue on. It is idle play, while watching tv or before sleep, sometimes the games you have to watch an advert, not an issue for me, as I say, idle play, let the advert play while you are watching tv. Multitasking at its best!

Very time consuming for very little reward

It seems like a great idea initially and the cash offers seem very appealing, but it’s definitely not as great as it seems. Most of the timed goals are almost impossible to reach e.g. reaching certain levels within a specific time frame.
I’ve tried a variety of games and haven’t managed to earn much more than £2 per game (after spending several hours on it) before failing to reach a timed goal and having to stop there. Baring in mind that most of these games advertise a potential of £100+ to be made. I spent 3 days trying to reach a goal that was meant to be done in 1 day (again, this is after spending hours playing and waiting for energy bars to refill), so have no idea how you would ever complete a goal like this without making in-app purchases (which is probably the point).
The individual goal rewards are often worth less than a pound, so you’d be making a net loss by making in-app purchases just to keep up with timed goals! You could potentially think of it as an investment in that you’ll earn a lot more in the long run, but I feel like this is very risky since the goals are so difficult to reach, you may struggle to keep up with it still, despite spending money.
I feel the only way you benefit from this and for it to be worthwhile is if you have games that you enjoy playing and would be playing regardless, so can earn a couple of pound whilst you do it. Otherwise, I don’t think the time it consumes is worth the rewards offered.

Absolutely Recommend.

I downloaded the app at the start of January; it’s now the start of April & I’ve just transferred £100 from the app to PayPal & then into my bank account. I could have cashed out before now but I wanted to wait until I had a decent amount to withdraw.
I play a lot of games on my phone because of being disabled & being stuck at home a lot, & I can’t believe I’ve got £100 to treat myself with that I wouldn’t otherwise have! If you game on your phone then you may as well use TesterUp — even though it’s taken a couple of months, £100 is still £100 & that’s quite a lot to me.
There’s a couple of things I think they need to change/add to the app, the main one being a countdown of how long you have until your earning window ends in a certain game — I’ve made a note of download dates & time limits in the notes of my phone but it would be great if the app kept track for you. It would also be better if they put the games you’ve downloaded at the top of the list so it’s easier to check what your next goal is.

Not as good as you think

Sadly you have to earn £70 before cashing out, but when I reached £30 they logged me out of my account.
I contacted them and asked if I could reset my email password as that’s what it wanted me to do, only to hear back from them saying I was in breach of their terms and apparently they decided either didn’t live in the uk or I was using a vpn.
Neither of these things were true as I do live in the uk, and I had just switched from BT to sky and found out sky use Norton security and others types of security …… first it messed with my bank accounts so I sky closed down all the so called security for me as it was meSSING EVERYTHING about.
I don’t know anything was wrong with the testerup app at the time, but they suspended my account of course not giving me the £30 at least. They are total scammers in my opinion and should be avoided. I’ve even asked for copies of what they think they have accused me of, but guess what, I’m not getting anything, so basically stolen the money I had in the account. I have advised them I will take this further as it’s a type of fraud and needs to be looked at as I’m not happy about the theft of my money. Most of the reviews on this site are fake as well, so take this as you will, they are scammers through and through!

Few glitches but ok

So, I’ve been using this app for 6 months and have so far earned over £200. I do NOT spend anything within the games and I still earn enough to make it worth my while - I’m paid to waste my time! Mostly a good experience but I have some niggles:
- a few times I haven’t been correctly credited and have probably lost about £20. Some of these losses were whilst I was travelling around Europe - I wouldn’t get the tick for the levels achieved whilst away but then received ticks for later levels when I returned home - surely it is obvious that I’ve achieved level 200 if I’ve just achieved level 400!! I recently lost £8.50 on Merge Hotel as it wouldn’t accept that I’d achieved the Workshop level. There is no way to notify anyone of these losses.
- at the moment, I only have 2 game options to choose between when I used to have 10+. I like to have 4-5 games on the go as this is the only way to get at least £50 a month. Where have all the games gone? UPDATE - 10 new game choices arrived within 24 hours so I’m happy again!

Nightmare

I initially downloaded this and gave it a five star review, reporting that the interface was great and although you would never make a living, it seemed like a really good way to earn a little money just by playing a wide variety of games.
However that was before I tried to withdraw what I had earned. They use a face verification system as part of their security, which is fine, but only if it works. I tried on a couple of devices only to get a message ‘Unable to start verification process’. I contacted their customer service via the support option. I got an auto reply at first, and a few days later a proper response, which gave me various solutions to try, and said I should reply to the email if I had no success. After the suggested steps failed I replied as directed. That was 2 weeks ago. In the mean time I managed to dig out an old laptop and after logging in on that, I was, for the first time, actually able to start the verification process. However after several attempts to capture the image, it continued to tell me the image was not clear enough, then told me that I had been locked out as I had used up all my attempts. I have sent several replies again to the initial support email, all to no avail. I even raised a new support ticket, this promised a reply within a few days, but unfortunately this did not happen.
This has been an extremely frustrating, laborious and exhaustive process. Their customer service is non responsive. I am sure, going by other reviews that some people have had a more positive experience with this app, but based on mine I would avoid it at all costs. The reward is simply not worth the risk. What’s more it ends up giving you a negative impression of the actual games you are testing.

Had potential..

I downloaded this app as I had heard a lot about it through ads I’ve seen online. At first, I was quite happy with the app as I enjoyed the games that were on there and managed to build up around £6. About a week ago, I went on holiday and had to change my sim. When I had tried to access the app it obviously knew that my location was in a different country. It also detected I had a VPN but when I was normally using it, the VPN was no issue when it came to using the app and I was also unaware that the app strictly prohibits using any VPN’s. Long story short my account got banned. I have tried getting in touch with the support team by submitting a request but did not hear anything back to this day. This app had a lot of potential but because I didn’t even manage to withdraw the money I had built up which was probably around £10, I pretty much wasted all my time using the app and playing all those games. It would have been nice to be given a warning first before automatically just banning it. There is no other words other than I am extremely disappointed with how it turned out. This app could have been one of the best apps out there for earning money, but you restrict accounts and ban them without giving any warnings first. I won’t be recommending this app to anybody whatsoever

Bit buggy, but legit

Like many, I was kinda sceptical about the all of this - getting paid to play games and whether or would actually pay out once you’d done tasks and all of that - but it’s actually been okay.
I have had issues with some of the games not tracking at all and one step not registering on another, but in the case of the latter, customer support did sort it.
In regard to the payout, it was surprisingly quick. It’s true that you might struggle to make much if you can’t invest a lot of time into the games - although most have quite a long period in which to complete tasks - but it’s a nice little extra change for playing something you might enjoy.
I do wish that there was a comments section when you complete a task so that you could actually give more feedback on the games - it would be nice to be able to say what works and doesn’t and why you decided not to go further with it - but overall, I have to say it’s been a positive experience.

Seems good so far

I’ve been using testerup few a couple of months now and it seems good, I’ve not met the minimum payout yet of £70 I’m about £40 off it. I’ve downloaded 4 games through the app and making my way though each stage required. Some games have bigger pay outs than others. You do have to make in app purchases in games if you want to progress quicker in the game and also hit each target on testerup but it is doable with out this but will take longer to reach the payout level. I did have one game that didn’t track and was told by customer support that I’d not downloaded it through them which I actually had or that I’d already played the game on my device before which I hadn’t. Make sure you read all the terms for each game before you download it and once you’ve downloaded you won’t be able to earn anything if you’ve done it wrong. You have to allow tracking also otherwise your progress won’t track.

Add different games and more ways to make some decent profit

I’ve been using this app for around a year now and it is genuinely pretty good the only downside is the same games continuously pop up and clearly you can’t do them cause you’ve already done most of the promotions posted so new different games would be great I’ve been able to withdrawn a good total of £74 problem with that is the withdrawal limit is £70 and I’m not the type to hate but to reach that amount it took me 7 months which frankly I feel like withdraw limit should be reduced or make the challenges a little bit easier to complete as I’ve played a game before and was like complete level 20 then jumps straight to complete level 100 and the amount of adds you have to watch on the games to continue is just so time consuming or add more stuff like daily bonus gifts or mini games to help people earn a bit more also I’ve had a couple games that I’ve played for a week and for some reason it stops tracking and I’ve continued without realising which has happened a few times I’m missing around £20 which would be nice to receive for the inconvenience but overall this app is a good side hustle if you have the spare time to commit just hope someone actually reads this and makes a change

Constantly chasing and doesn’t give you all you have earnt. Do not download.

SLOW SLOW SLOW! you’re constantly chasing your rewards and sending proof- it’s not updated for weeks or if at all! They also deny you ever using their link to download and play yet I did. It’s ridiculous. I’m owed over £30 so I’m stuck because I cannot get the money I’ve earnt as I’m waiting for the money they owe me. All I have been doing is chasing updates for several games as they’re not tracking despite being downloaded only with their link and doing what they’ve instructed (allowed tracking etc). This includes making purchases to complete targets. I have asked for help via support and put of 20 tickets, only one reply and it didn’t help- dented I downloaded via their app when I did. Have sent so much proof in although it limits how much proof you can send. I missing a lot of money as it’s not updating even weeks later. It’s ridiculous. It’s a shame as we spend a fortune completing the objectives. I just won’t bother anymore. Please get back to me as it’s annoying.

Great app worth trying

I was unsure of using the app to begin with but decided to give it a try. Easy to use as long as you follow the instructions and it shows you task to achieve on the various games and how much each is worth. The longer you play the game and develop the more you earn. You can track your progress on each game on the app. When you have had enough of a game finish with a few tick box question and finish to get credited the money. Now there is a minimum you have to each before being able to withdraw the money but it is easy to achieve over a few weeks.
The app runs well. The only glitch I have found on a few games is the progress doesn’t register on the app so you cannot earn. I contacted support about this a few times but they couldn’t help as it wasn’t registering on their end that I was playing the game. They advised that i may not have followed the download process correctly but I know I had. You to present it has happened on around six games and I just have to complete the normal process to end a deal to remove the game from the list.
Overall it’s a great app and you get paid for playing games so you cannot argue with that.

Good

Testerup is an app that allows users to earn rewards by testing and reviewing various applications and games. The concept is straightforward: you download apps, use them, and then provide feedback based on your experience. Here’s a breakdown of its features and overall performance.
One of the main strengths of Testerup is its user-friendly interface. The app is easy to navigate, making it accessible for users of all ages. The process of finding apps to test is simple, and the instructions for providing feedback are clear. Additionally, the variety of apps available for testing keeps the experience fresh and engaging, as users can explore different genres and functionalities.
However, there are some downsides to consider. Some users report that the rewards can be slow to accumulate, and the payout threshold might feel a bit high for casual testers. Additionally, the availability of apps may vary based on your location, which can limit opportunities for some users. Overall, Testerup can be a fun way to earn rewards while exploring new apps, but it may require some patience to see significant returns.

Good and pays out but still needs work

This app has been really good, it pays out after you scan your face and actually drops the money in your PayPal within 1-2 days however the game selection is rubbish, I think besides one-2 games I enjoyed playing however the rest are either merge games/ fake slots/ raider games and sometimes it doesn’t register on the app that you’ve downloaded it even if you’ve followed the instructions however it’s a rarity it’s happened a few times I’ve decided to download an app and it’s not registered on the app that I’ve downloaded it despite clicking allow on the tracking and running the app after downloading from the app, definitely needs a better selection of games to choose from as I’ve only just withdrawn £70 and that took 3 months, however most of the games available begin to feel like a chore after a while, with a better selection of gaming apps this app could really be one of the best out there to earn money just a let down with the game selection. If your looking for a good app to win money quickly I recommend match masters/ monopoly neither of those feel like a choir either.

Very weird but seems legit

A few notes: the cash sums are misleading because a lot of them are reimbursements for in-game purchases. Lots of the games are the grind and level up or pay through the nose sort, meaning they slow all the way down after the first few goals. Probably quicker to cash out after a few and go onto the next than try to plough through increasingly time-consuming targets, but to each their own.
Main gripes I have - you’re still getting paid to play, after all - are that a) you can’t actually feed back to devs when games are buggy - so it’s not really “testing” at all - and b) the menu doesn’t update properly, so decent-looking games can be gone while the menu still shows them as only half-full.
I suspect this is ultimately a way to skew App Store figures using a marketing budget rather than actually anything to do with testing, but I’ve made two quid in three days playing on my phone so I’m not complaining.

Not a scam, but unacceptably inefficient

Having actually received payment, I can confirm you can make a surprising amount of money from this app. That being said, it’s in need of some serious improvement, starting with the tracking. The number of games the app doesn’t even register you’ve actually downloaded is unacceptable. There have been times when I’ve accepted 4 jobs at once, but only one of them actually tracked. To make it worse, you only have a limited time to complete the offer. It doesn’t tell you when, it just says “you have 30 days” or whatever, but you’ll have to mark your own calendar, because it will ALWAYS say 30 days. The jobs DO expire, however, which is obviously a problem for the tracking problem. As standard, they’ll say it can take 48 hours to begin tracking, and to contact them after that time if it doesn’t. So I tried that with one of their match games. Downloaded the game through their app, played until something like level 300, it STILL didn’t track that I’d even downloaded it, much less progressed enough to earn rewards. So I contacted customer service, attached the evidence that I had indeed completed the jobs, but was told “we’re receiving more requests than usual”. Let’s be real here: When a company says that, it’s not true, they’re just inefficient, but lack the humility to admit it. So anyway, they never got back to me, the job expired, and I still haven’t received a reply. If all of the above is fixed (bad tracking, inefficient customer relations department, ability to properly track jobs), I’ll instantly change my 2 stars to 5. In the mean time, it just doesn’t deserve that much. Also, an extra suggestion I have is the ability to dismiss offers on the basis of having already played the game before. Offers only apply to games you’ve never played, but to dismiss it, you have to “accept”, then instantly “complete” the offer for a reward of £0.00 (obviously). It would be great if they just added a “no thanks” button.

Good for testing games etc

The App is good and it gives you a range of apps and games to test with various reward prices. I was sceptical at first but I played some games and managed to earn a bit of money. The downfall of it is it’s time consuming, you won’t earn fast and it’s not as quick and easy as the Ads make out. But with time and what you test you can make some money from the games. Some games you may have to put money towards to reach certain goals which is a downfall. And the app could do better when it comes to tracking the goals reached to get rewards on the job offers as it either loads for ages or doesn’t update that you’ve completed that goal on the job offer as you are given tasks and goals to complete to gain the cash rewards for that Testing Job. It’s a good app and decent games to choose from but isn’t as straight forward or quick cash like people think as the Ads make out you make hundreds in minutes. Which sadly isn’t true as it takes days to complete some goals. And it certainly isn’t hundreds of pounds or dollars in cash unless you qualify to complete the full job offer. It’s worth a try but be prepared to be let down if you think it’s a quick cash flow and quick income.

A way to make a bit of extra cash

Like many others I was quite sceptical about this app. It took me a little while but eventually reached the minimum payout threshold of £70 and requested the withdrawal. And I received it a few days later. The tracking doesn’t always work. I probably should reach out to support, but usually I just move on to another game. It would be nice if the games I currently am tracking would show up collectively at the top and not spread out in what can be quite a long list. Also, the app doesn’t tell you when the allocated time to earn money has run out. So you either need to track this separately on your own or you will eventually notice when you reach the next respective level but the app doesn’t acknowledge you have reached it. But all in all I have found some good games via the app which I continue to play beyond the money making aspect.

Brilliant app

I have been using this app for quite some time now and can honestly say the app is easy to use. Basically you download the games you want to play directly through the app, enable tracking on each game you have downloaded and then you can start playing and earning money straight away. What I like is that through this app it tracks your progress on each game and rewards you money for every milestone you complete. You can keep track of this through the app by selecting the game you have downloaded, scroll down the page until you find ‘progress’. This will tell you how much you’ve earned for each milestone completed.
However, the only downside to this app is that you can’t cash out straight away until you have accumulated x amount of money.
Overall I think this app is great. You don’t get a lot of money but it’s great to do as a side hustle.

It’s working and you earn real cash

I was really skeptical about this app as there so many fake ones or scam type apps promising easy money. I decided to give a try. I started at the beginning of July and at the end of the month I managed to get £70 earnings which is the minimum amount you can withdraw. I wanted to see if I’ll get my money so I can continue to play. Yes, I have request withdraw and two days later I got my £70. It’s sounds crazy but I can assure you it’s true. The withdrawal process was easy and I didn’t have any troubles. You don’t need to pay in-games, but in some games you pay let’s say £3 but the app gives you back £4 so it’s making it easier to get to £70 but it’s not mandatory.
Some games does not track your progress correctly so I needed to text the support. First time it took them like 8,9 days to respond but they have actually added my progress. I had two more occasions where I contacted them and they have responded within couple days and again were helpful.
Finally if you expect to earn easy lots of money just in few clicks, skip this app. But if you play couple hours a day, then yes you really get your money.
I don’t have much free time but when I have I’m playing mobile games anyway so I’ll highly recommend this app and I’ll continue to play the games offered.

The Apps weren’t tracking, even when I allowed tracking

So, this all started when I was playing Word Farm to claim the rewards. I was progressing steadily and even managed to clear all the levels that the game asked me to clear. I was checking off the things and having money credited to my account. But after Level 750 on Word Farm, that’s when it all ground to a halt.
Not only was my progress not tracking properly, but the game wasn’t registering that I had cleared levels it has asked me to, even though I have evidence that I have indeed cleared those levels. It tracked me clearing Level 1000, but not Level 750. So, I downloaded a different app to try and get rewards on, and I have cleared multiple tasks even with tracking on, but TesterUp still believes I haven’t even downloaded the second app, even though I have and included tracking.
I sent in multiple support tickets which haven’t been responded to yet and I am convinced that something’s gone wrong with Testerup’s servers or what other method they use to track app progress. Still, it’s not a good look for them and I would not recommend this app at the moment. If the app’s not gonna track even with tracking on, then what’s the point?

Rubbish

I have just recently started using this in the hope of earning a little bit of pocket money. First game I played I downloaded and it was tracking progress well. However, as the amounts that I should’ve been earning increased, it suddenly stopped tracking. I logged a service ticket and after a lot of backwards and forwards, they eventually awarded me the earnings. I then downloaded another game via the app and it failed to track. Locked to service ticket and was told that the reason it wasn’t tracking was because they claim I didn’t download the game via the testerup app, they also stated it wasn’t the first time I played the game. However, I did download it through the app and have never played the game before. of course that I have played it for awhile and realised it wasn’t tracking. I can’t re-download it as they will say I’ve previously played the game. it never seems straightforward and there seems to be a reason for it not to track correctly, very disappointing.

Not worth it.

Honestly, when I first got this app, I thought it was great.
You need to have accumulated £70 minimum before you can cash out, but that didn’t bother me because it just meant that I would eventually get that money, just after a while.
Cut from January to April, I had managed to get more that £70, but wanted to finish one of the games to get a reward, then I was going to cash out, but I went to go on it one morning only to find my account had been deactivated. I had also gotten an email saying that someone who WASN’T me had tried cashing out of my account, but it was declined.
Customer Support is a load of rubbish for Testerup, so I really wouldn’t bother. Despite numerous emails to them about the possibility of my account being hacked, I haven’t heard anything back off them, nor am I expecting to. Just do yourself a favour and don’t waste your time, because I did and I don’t even get to have to money to show for it. Download apps like Survey Pop or Eureka Surveys. They give similar, if not the same, games as Testerup, but you don’t have to play them as long, the rewards are a little better and the minimum draw out is £4 which is easy to get to.

A little cumbersome to navigate but good idea

The concept of the app is great and I think it could easily be the main way people play games going forwards. As much as the idea is great, I think there’s some room for improvement in its execution… 1️⃣ the app doesn’t update the total earned so far. Mine still shows £0.00. My wife’s showed a total and now reads £0.00. 2️⃣It would be good to see a total for finished /completed games and a total for active games yet to complete/close. 3️⃣A breakdown/summary page of what games a user has currently active, amount earned, last milestone met and next milestone is required. It is a bit clunk having to drill down into each game to check your progress and then come up and drill into the next. I do find myself constantly going in and out the app trying to work out how many more levels I need to pass to reach my next goal. 4️⃣Some sort of timer/countdown showing how many days are left for each active game. There’s a chance users could miss out on their hard worked earnings if they don’t close out, which is going to lead to negativity towards the app. 6️⃣The goals for the games don’t seem proportionate in some instances. £1.00 to play 100 times then £1.50 to play another 300 times. Games with rewards on a play by play model should payout on an equal proportion.7️⃣ I think the UI of the app could look a lot slicker. It feels too much like a basic website. 8️⃣The premise of the app is good though and I look forward to seeing it develop.

If it works it’s ok

This app would be great if the app could be relied on to track properly, about 50% of the games I have downloaded have not done this, the little wheel just keep whirring on ‘install’ If you email support they are also useless, telling me each and every times it’s my fault for not downloading it properly through their button and allowing tracking… which is complete rubbish because the steps to follow are not rocket science and I follow each step each time as per their screens and a lot of the time it doesn’t work. This is a failing of their app, nothing to do with my ability to download a game and allow tracking so they need to sort that out. I also use Tester Buddy. This app is much more user friend, easier to see what games you have downloaded as the pages for new games are separate and I think I have only had one game of their not work… If you want to earn money some of the time then download this app but be prepared to be frustrated when they don’t register and for support to tell you time and time again it is your fault! Also it would be useful to have the start date when you downloaded something as each game has a different time limit and it would be good to be able to keep track of how much time you have left.
Overall this is a good concept but they really need to get their tracking in order and stop blaming the customer for their faulty software!

A good option

I like this app as a good option to earn a little bit of spare cash whilst playing a game and keeping me busy, it’s also nice that you get a feel of the app that you genuinely are a tester and your feedback could help the companies and developers that use testerup compared to other rewarded play apps and similar services, they just tend to hook you and give you a tiny reward but with testerup it feels more rewarding not only in a sense of money but that you are contributing to something. The overall feel of the app seems more professional. That being said I have had a few problems such as one of the games I played was having technical issues and I had to reinstall the game, this seemed to work but once I reached a checkpoint, tester up did not record the achievement. I just put this down to it not techically being the first install on the phone as they do tell you it must be the first install
